I have no objection to renaming all the "You Fail..." tropes to something less condemnation-like. How about "...Flub"? Biology Flub, Animal Care Flub, etc..
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittySeconding the "flub" proposal.
Heapers’ HangoutThirding
It certainly functions better from a "less subjectivity" standpoint. The You Fail ... titles all mess with the expectation that Tropes Are Not Bad.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"yes, fifthing.
I'll be sad to see them go, but I understand the need
The child is father to the man —OedipusSo if I come across a page with a bunch of subjective tropes on it, should I create a new subjective page for it and copy paste them there?
Not many people realize, 50 Cent is half man, half cossack. - Ross NobleIdeally, yes. Feel free to cut anything that's outright Natter first, though.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Okay, I know this is probably the most basic thing on TV Tropes ever, but can someone link me to a guide to starting a page? I don;t know how to make a subjective page....
Not many people realize, 50 Cent is half man, half cossack. - Ross NobleGo to the page you want to make a "Subjectives" page for (we'll use Series Name for our example), and replace the "Main" part in the URL with "Subjectives". Alternatively, you can make a wick somewhere (the Wiki Sandbox is good for this), putting "Subjectives/" before the page name (so our example would be Subjectives/SeriesName, which would come out as Series Name). For a one-word page title, use the {{Wikiword}} markup (so, say, Series' Subjectives page would be Subjectives/{{Series}}, which renders as Series).
By the way, you can do something similar for any namespace, using the appropriate namespace in place of "Subjectives" in the URL/wick.
Observe the URL of the page. It has a component before the name, like /Main/ or /Film/, etc. Change that to /Subjectives/. Edit the resulting page.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Everything under Shipping Tropes should go under Audience Reactions. (A few are already listed directly).
Pretentious quote || In-joke from fandom you've never heard of || Shameless self-promotion || Something weird you'll habituate toIn my opinion, automagically marking any page whose title fits the "You Fail X Forever" template as a subjective trope is a misfeature. Some of those pages, such as You Fail Logic Forever, aren't tropes to begin with.
We're changing all the you fail X Forever tropes into X Flubs.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I can accept changing "You fail X" to "X Flubs" (I don't like it but I can see how getting rid of the adversarial name could help), but they aren't subjective. Natter and pedantry magnets, some of them, but that doesn't make them a matter of opinion. Whether the The Day After Tomorrow got heat transfer wrong or not, or whether Jurassic Park screwed up the velociraptors or not can be determined by looking at the film and them looking at the known information.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Either way shouldn't we come up with an index for "subjectives in works"?
X Flubs?
- You flubs sex ed forver.
- You flubs biology forever.
- Flub itself wouldn't be any better.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!I think they meant like Sex Ed Flubs, Biology Flubs, etc.
Heapers’ HangoutIf we're going to rename running gags that have been here forever, I counter-propose "X Does Not Work That Way" as it's at least an existing snowclone and slightly more colorful than "Flubs".
Hmm. I like it. Let me just plug the subjects in from this list.
Edit: Most of them seem to fit. Except maybe History, but that's a tight squeeze.

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I can go with "X Does Not Work That Way".
Pretentious quote || In-joke from fandom you've never heard of || Shameless self-promotion || Something weird you'll habituate toHistory Flub is shorter and punchier.
- History Flub: Cleopatra was not alive during the Sack of Troy. Example. Works real well.

@Evilest Tim: I guess. It was the first rationalisation that sprang to mind of how failing on matters factual could be considered subjective.
