Psst, your math is off. You have 5/50 listed as 10% but 4/50 listed as .08%; it should be 8%. Properly calculated, your "other use" supercategory is more like 30%.
Expanded or no, I suspect this may need a rename or else it'll continue to attract chairs-y examples. Even expanded and properly calculated, correct use under the expanded definition would only be 54%.

Starter suggestion: No Navel Means Unusual Birth
Thank you for pointing that out. Should be fixed now, also note to not do math when tired.
I do see the sense in also renaming the trope along with expansion, given the misuse. Something that has a bit more context in it.

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectBoth your suggestions are decent, but don't really emphasize the "artificial creation" part of the trope.

Crown Description:
It was decided to expand Belly Buttonless to be defined as a human character lacking a belly button as a visual cue that they had an unusual birth, including artificial creation and non-mammalian birth, and cleaning up all other examples, and it was decided to rename the trope as well. What should the trope's new name be?
Belly Buttonless is a trope specifically about a human character lacking a belly button as a visual cue that they were created by artificial means, usually as a clone. I was a little concerned the trope was being used in a way that was broader than the definition.
Wick check here, breakdown as follows:
With the 30% of other usagenote , I think we can expand the trope to include some of this misuse. Namely the unusual and non-mammaliannote birth categories. I don't really believe the artistic style and other reason categories to be tropeworthy so those, alongside the 20% misuse, no explanation (which I theorize to be mostly artistic style or error), and ZCEs should be deleted in cleanup.
Proposal: Expand trope to be defined as a human character lacking a belly button as a visual cue that they had an unusual birth, including artificial creation and non-mammalian birth. Clean up all other examples.
