This trope may be Too Rare to Trope and probably better made from scratch. So cut and yard Friendly Duel and Relaxing On Ground.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupFrom what I gather on the YKTTW, it's a really specific trope requiring two old foes/rivals meeting, fighting, and then, too exhausted to get up, talking about their lives and navel-gazing.
Cut and yard.
Do agree, I think that one can be cut
I think we can yard this one, there something here but it's too specific to work as-is.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessCut and Yard. This is Too Rare to Trope as-is due to how narrow its scope is.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Cut and Yard for reasons given above
"Grandmaster Combat, son!"This definitely feels like a thing-which-exists, but if we haven't collected enough examples, the yard it shall be.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Too narrow as is. Even some of the on-page examples are for incidents where the characters don't have a history/rivalry.
Yard.
We've reached the 10-person quota for a Three-Day Rule waiver, have we not?
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailLying in the dirt together first, then we cut and yard
Kirby is awesome.Yeah, let's cut and Yard this one since we've already got consensus and this isn't thriving.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Didn't take long, so closing.

Lying In The Dirt Together currently has 20 wicks, only 10 of which are for examples. The trope was launched August 31, 2010. Its original TLP title was Lying in the Dirt With My Former Friend, which doesn't shed much more light on the trope than the final, non-indicative title does. The trope is supposed to be about "randomly encountering an old foe and fighting for old time's sake," so I don't know if the title is a reference to some piece of media I haven't seen, or what.
If the trope is kept (because there's a lot more on-page examples of varying degrees of context than there are wicks), I recommend changing the trope name. If the trope is cut/yarded for failure to thrive, so be it.
