I thought this had a thread already but apparently it didn't.
Macron's notesI think it was brought up in the ask for explanations thread.
Pull. It's not even a good Visual Pun because the bear isn't dancing.

Keet cleanupPull.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.A pic is going to need some sort of lampshade to work.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Featuring Dante from Devil May Cry? [1]◊
I can actually sort of get the trope from the image. The bear on the car is a lame attraction, but some people still buy into it for the novelty?

i was the one who brought it up in the explanations thread. i think it should be pulled, it doesn't make much sense
even if you go with that explanation, it still doesn't make sense because there aren't many people in the crowd, so it's not really a big draw
Pull, because people may confuse the trope with a literal dancing bear. I think the trope name is really bad too, but that's a topic for another thread.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I think it works with the caption (cuz it makes it clear-ish that Homer boils down ballet to one weird attraction) but it's still only clear-ish. Not against pulling at all.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. The page image for Literature.Gadsby can be fairly easily be tossed onto Dancing Bear (you don't get much more Dancing Bear than advertising your book as not using a letter on its cover), but it would require changing the work's page image.
^ Would fit better on the more specific Constrained Writing.
@NoUsername: Does it have to be a big draw? A lot of the examples in the list aren't really mainstream media...
That said, the Toy Story suggestions work.
11 could work.
For the record, this trope's name is obnoxiously obtuse. [/off-topic]

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.11 is good.

Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.
"Who cares that the humans in this movie look terrible? It's the world's first CGI animated movie!"

Disregarding the Visual Pun, there's nothing about the page image to suggest it conveys that a gimmick is what brings people's attention to something. The trope itself is named after a proverb; not any sort of real-life event to take inspiration from.
