Misused: You Make Me Sic

If I'm doing wick cleanup for a TRS thread that's cleaning up misuse, I usually take a "guilty until proven innocent" approach and delete ZCEs on the grounds that they could potentially be misuse even if they had context.

I don't recall deleting any ZCEs. Did I do that without realizing it?

Tabs and Gaston were responding to your question from the 23rd, telling you that deleting commented-out examples is perfectly OK during TRS cleanups.

I know. I was responding to their each of their last posts from early this morning, asking them if I deleted ZCEs without realizing I had done so.

I'm afraid to visit the page myself because of the factual inaccuracies it might have. I've asked fellow troper Akriloth2160 (a.k.a. Artemy Musha) to factcheck the page, and now I'm waiting for his response.

I took care of the wicks on two of the Meme pages, won't be touching the wicks on the remaining four pages because I want to distance myself from politics here on TV Tropes. Can somebody else take care of them?

Look, you can’t make people edit pages for you. This isn't how things work. If there are pages you don’t want to edit for whatever reason, you can just ignore them and work on other pages.

A lot of us are all focused on other efforts, like how you're focused on this one. You can ask that people help you, but you can't force it.

This is American Politics we're talking about here. I ain't touching that subject with a 5-foot pole.

I'm gonna guess they're misuse. Someone will get to them.

Of course they were.

It won't hurt to have some patience. We're all volunteers.

Yeah JHD, some of us have other things we are doing. You can't just force us all to do cleanup work on a particular TRS thread.

I've had a few days to reflect on what transpired last weekend. I know that forcing your work onto others is a big no-no here, but I thought I was justified in this case for political reasons. I realize now that I was wrong, and I'm sorry for putting you all through that.

No worries. I see the discomfort with politics pages.

Yeah I get wanting to avoid politics too, and I follow politics extensively.

I took care of the Western Animation wicks. I think there were around six or seven in total, and it was about half and half changing the name and half simply removing because they were either zero context or didn't even have anything to do with the trope to begin with.

When I renamed some of the wicks, I didn't check to see if any of the examples were ZCEs, because I simply didn't think to do so.
