There's a crap ton of new gameplay from people playing the alpha so I guess there's no NDA restriction. That's a huge relief to know.

I feel like with Shaggy and Velma available and Scooby being leaked by accident, I feel like all five members of Mystery Inc. will be playable. I'm guessing Scooby would be a Glass Cannon, Daphne will be the Chun-Li to Shaggy's Ryu, and Fred would be an unorthodox zoner specializing in trapping people.

I can believe Fred being more of a trap character than I can with him being a zoner, but why would they make Daphene this highly technical advanced moveset character?

Didn't she take karate in one of the movies?

I'm pretty sure she did. At least in the weird live-action one. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if any of Mystery Inc did take some self-defense class at some point. Except for Shaggy, the dude comes across as way too lazy to even. But mostly because it's beneath him now.

I like those little touches. Did you know that if you crouch with Velma your vision goes blurry because she is looking for her glasses?

Man, I forgot how great this game is, destroying so many people as Bugs is satisfying. And I didn't notice this before, but I just realized that one of Velma's taunts is her dance from the caveman episode.

I must be doing something right with my life because somehow I manage to get an alpha code.

To be blunt, the controls don't quite feel as good as Smash Bros, but it still feels good because it's doing its own thing. That's a lot of mechanics I need to familiarize myself with, but the customization so far is really flexible. I didn't like how the neutral attack was treated as a forward smash & the forward attack was treated like a jab. Fortunately there's already customization to switch that. Right now, my only problem with the customization is that it doesn't allow mapping any of the actions onto the L3 & R3 button. And right now, I can't tell if there are any other offline features besides labbing.

Currently roster sits at 16 characters. July's open beta might be the last stretch before release so i believe we are getting a september release at the earliest.

With that said, i think we might end up with a roster of 21 characters at launch. Those being Rick Sanchez, Marvin the Martian, Lebron James, Raven and Gizmo

It's interesting that Gandalf actually lost data between builds and the LOTR game rights are actually up in the air and WB might lose them, which is a reason for Gandalf to get cut

Gizmo sounds like he can be potentially a pain in the ass to fight since he's so tiny.

Eh, I'm sure he won't be too bad to fight, especially since he does have what seems to be a transforming mechanic. I do wonder how the Titans Tower stage is gonna work like, sounds like it'd be a Final Destination-like stage.
