Character-Specific Pages (CSPs) are created when individual characters have so many trope examples that they can't reasonably be included on a shared page.
The Administrivia Character-Specific Pages policy details the rules that apply to these pages. All Character-Specific Pages must also follow the basic How to Create a Character Page policy, as well as the wiki's more general policies about spoilers and examples.
This cleanup thread handles the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving new CSP proposals. All new potential CSPs must be reviewed and, if necessary, cleaned up before they're created.
- Agreeing on page names for new CSPs.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a new CSP is created.
- Reviewing existing CSPs if there's a concern that they need cleanup, or if it's believed that the character may no longer qualify for a page.
- Merging existing CSPs into other character pages when necessary.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a CSP is removed/merged.
- Creating, updating and cutting redirects, as necessary, to reflect these splits and merges.
Crowners are not normally required but, where appropriate, can be used to formalise decisions on any of these points.
If a character no longer qualifies for a CSP, it's often more practical to turn the CSP into a redirect than to cut the page entirely. This keeps the page history visible to users, and also helps to steer offsite 'inbound' traffic (search engine results) to the right place. With that in mind, cut requests for CSPs may be declined and referred to this thread if they don't have a clear consensus.
Comments linking back to this thread can be added to CSPs when needed - e.g. to confirm their creation was approved, to warn tropers that a cleanup is in progress, or to note the date and outcome of a more recent review.

- Other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
- The character's folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero-Context Examples and Wall of Text entries and removing any outdated, misused, or non-character tropes.
- A character's folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces). Here is a byte counter.note
- The current character page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
Splitting a character into their own page is a major change and needs to be run by the community before it is enacted. Even if you believe a character meets these requirements, they should be run through this thread first. Having other tropers take a look can help spot issues you may not notice or believe to be issues.
Per How to Create a Character Page, character-specific pages should only include tropes that describe the character. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask the Are these Character Tropes? thread.
If you have concerns with a general character page, they have their own separate cleanup thread, as do the self-demonstrating character pages.

I've finished combing through The Four Houses here, dropping the byte count to 60K +34K from Alcina so the new page would be 95K total. I've drafted it at the Resident Evil The Four Houses page. So far, I've mostly kept the formatting similar to how it was on the main characters page, but it looks a little off so any suggestions?

Then the rest being two points makes it clear that they're specific houses instead of the general summary.
Other than that, I agree that it looks awkward but I don't have any ideas to fix it - so honestly, outside of that recommendation? The page looks good to launch, and I'm happy to update the navboxes as I have been doing before.

Alright, Resident Evil - The Four Houses page is live. I added a bit to each House's description to fill in some of the blank space (I think that's what's bothering me) and took your suggestion with the header format. I'll go ahead and update the main Village character page if you want to start on updating headers.

Hello. I created the Mother Miranda page because she meets the "over 40K bytes\6000 words" quota. In fact, that's why I've been adding both new tropes that came out due to the Shadows of Rose DLC and some rather obvious, overlooked general tropes (Determinator, Mad Scientist).
I still plan on adding one or more tropes I found and increase her byte count. But I will be writing here whenever I plan to launch another character-specific page.

Excuse me? This is gonna be along one so here we go. I was just browsing the tropes page of Luz Noceda, main protagonist of The Owl House, and I noticed that she had an awful lot of spoilers on her page. I stopped to count and I eventually came out with 160 spoilered tropes of 232 tropes in total.
Almost 70% of Luz's tropes have spoilers on them, to the point where I myself felt comfortable adding the trope Walking Spoiler due to how much Luz's character was advanced by extremely spoilery revelations throughout the series. I was asking to find out if we should just have her be an "All Spoilers Unmarked" character like Emperor Belos, The Golden Guard, and the Collector are since she has such a massive spoiler ratio. (Not to mention how many of the spoilered tropes tend to be longer, or have multiple different indents on them and thus take up a lot more space even without the high ratio.)
Is there a threshold at which point a character becomes so spoilery that they have to be all spoilers unmarked? I know that Void Termina of Kirby had the vast majority of his tropes get spoilered and then unmarked due to how many he had, so I was wondering if Luz had met that threshold.

Although Miranda did meet the 40K byte requirement, it's important to see if the other qualifiers are met as well, one of those being that the page is cleaned up of ZCEs, misused tropes, non-character tropes, and natter before splitting to make sure it still meets the other criteria.
As I'm working through the page on my sandbox, I've already brought down the byte count to 35K by just removing non-characterization trope and trimming the excessiveness out of the description (2K bytes is too long for a character description). Going through and trimming natter I suspect is going to bring it down further to ~30K but even if it doesn't, she'll need to be merged back into the main Village page.

That's fine, feel free to continue adding tropes to her page if you think they fit. I check it periodically since it takes me multiple days to go through a page. That's how I made sure to include the new tropes to the Four Houses page when I split them off, since people were still editing while I was cleaning.

I have some more questions, namely about the size of character folders on some character specific pages. I noticed that Goro Akechi, Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Hunter, and Emperor Belos had an awful lot wicks crammed into the relatively small number of folders they had. Akechi and Belos had it the worst with Akechi having 196k bytes in just two folders (albeit split between two different identities) and Belos having 208k bytes in just three. Should we split them up into more folders? I just thought that would be an awful lot of material to wade through that few folders.

That doesn't require any kind of approval here - you can just do that yourself. Just try to keep the folders relatively equal in terms of the information in them and you should be all good to add more!

Hello. I was looking at the Fire Emblem: Three Houses - Antagonists page, currently measuring 160,609 bytes, and thought, "Those who slither in the dark seem important and big enough to warrant their own section."
To make sure, I made this sandbox, which a byte counter measured as 110,848 bytes. If they were moved from the Antagonists page, that would leave it with 51,735 bytes and it would look like this.
Are the pages acceptable, or is there other stuff that could be done?

Went ahead and cut the Len/Rin page. Gonna take a while (and a visit to the Grammar thread) before the tropes get merged into the main Vocaloid page, because christ, it seems like every trope on the page is either a ZCE or it has grammar issues.
