12.1 is great. You can see the characters are angels, which provides a good contrast to what they're saying.

I like the setup/payoff of the two pics in 12...neither on its own seems like it's enough to me.

Don't think the second panel has anything to do with the trope (or if it does, it's done in a confusing manner since it looks more like a result of cupcake overdose than actual faithlessness/rationality).

Again, I do not think the cupcakes work.

This trope is about characters whose stubborn skepticism prevent them from acknowledging the supernatural even when there's clear evidence of it existing. The image implies they've been convinced through cupcakes instead, which feels like another trope entirely (like Forced Into Atheism or something).
