Netflix kill everything after under 3 seasons. It's really rare for something to survive longer then that .
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."and considering the very poor reception to what's been shown so far, I doubt it even really has a chance to get that far.
I mean, it could always surprise us, but I'm not holding out hope.

Illuminate! It wouldn't be the first time one show recovers from a bad first trailer.
Wake me up at your own risk.So the first review is out: https://io9.gizmodo.com/fate-the-winx-saga-isnt-for-winx-club-fans-and-i-m-no-1845994198#replies
Yeah, I don't see this show getting a second season.
Illuminate! You say that, then you remember how successful Riverdale was.
It does sound like they missed the point by a mile. Who’s responsible for this? Tomorrow Studios? Skydance?
It's a co-production between italian company Rainbow S.r.l. (the company behind the rest of the Winx Club franchise) and U.K. company Archery Pictures.
The main things the latter made were the Tolkien biopic and the first Kick-Ass movie. And they were secondary on the latter.

To be fair Riverdale is agreed to be a Guilty Pleasure. People agree it's so over the top bad and insane that it loops back around to awesome in a So Bad, It's Good way.
Not sure if winx has that ?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Weird adaptations are fine when the target audience doesn't know the source material, i.e Riverdale. Winx Club isn't an obsecure show. There are seasons of Winx Club up on Netflix, the platform this live action show is on. This is honestly closer to that Dora the Explorer movie that came out last year.
Also, the whitewashing is gonna get a lot of backlash.
Didn't the Dora film get like 85 percent in rotten tomatoes. Seems to wasn't that disliked.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Riverdale's first season was legitimately good. It really only started going bad once season two happened.
but that was essentially the show but aged up a for a tween audience who probably enjoyed the show as toddlers.
Winx fans want the show to do that, but Fate just makes it a In Name Only edgefest. This seems like the show is overcompensating for the fandom's dislike of how babyish the series has become from Season 5 onwards.

Illuminate!https://www.polygon.com/22233815/fate-the-winx-saga-review-netflix
So, this mostly spoiler free review came out. I'll summarize. The article says that the show is a mixed bag. It has a pretty dark plot that makes it interesting, but the characters drag it down. There's no real effort to show that they're friends.
and somehow that trailer was even worse than the teaser.
Illuminate! So, The Wrap has just posted an interview with star Abigail Cohen and the first six episodes have just started streaming on Netflix.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.First season's out on Netflix.
It could be worse, I'll give it that. But this really feels like an attempt to cash in on Riverdale's popularity. None of the characters feel right, it takes away all the fun stuff and replaces it with weird uncomfortable stuff like Terra getting fatshamed constantly and that weird homophobia plot.
I fear more and more for the ATLA live action series every day.
With the dark magical academia aesthetic and the other world stuff, I think what this show wants to be (whether they're aware of it or not) is The Magicians (2016), which I liked a lot more than I thought I would. The books that show was based on darker-and-edgier'd Harry Potter and Narnia and brought an "adult spin" on those concepts, but at least it didn't claim to be an adaptation of those. Directly linking it to Winx understandably soured a lot of people (including me — first reactions are not making me want to watch).

For what it's worth, Strafii (who created Winx), is directly behind this show too and has been trying to get an adaptation made for a lot longer than Riverdale's been around. I think he first proposed it like...ten years ago?
So far, I'm only two episodes in, but I like it so far. It's not earth-shaking, and it almost reminds me of season 1 of Vampire Diaries in a way, but I enjoy it.
It does have TVD DNA; it shares an executive producer.
This is the man who claimed Nickelodeon helped the franchise and that moving the series to a preschool audience was the only option though.
Fans aren’t the biggest fans of him tbh.
Illuminate!...Ok.
I was just mentioning that this idea, to do a live action, for "adults" Winx Club is not a new, post-Riverdale idea.
Also, I had no idea Alex Mac Queen was in this until I saw him. I'm a huge fan of his (he plays one of my favorite versions of The Master, from Doctor Who, and he was great in Thick of It as well) and its funny that he and Jacob Dudman are both in this, since Dudman is also Doctor Who-adjacent.
What makes me compare it to Riverdale is the drab coloring and clothing choice and the weird "relatable" dialogue. He may have been planning this for a while, but you can tell what year this was written in.
In that case, I doubt it's getting a second season.
