I thought that was Copperhead as well.
Not particularly excited for this (I felt like out of the Squad, Peacemaker was the guy I'd be least interested in seeing again) but it's here, I guess.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Vigilante looks like a hoot.
Great costume too.
Huh at the end of the trailer Peacemaker's helmet generated some kind of explosion.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That looks really entertaining. I say that this partly as a Captain America defender, but Peacemaker here reminds me a lot of how US Agent is often characterized (in terms of the work both laughing at and sympathizing with him), and dare I say is a better approach than the take on US Agent in a certain Marvel tv show...
Incidentally, I find it amusing how The Comedian in Watchmen is in part a Corrupted Character Copy of Peacemaker and in a sort of recursive adaptation (compare Rorschach and The Question), Cena's version of Peacemaker has the kind of evil(ish) Captain Patriotic characterization of The Comedian.
I also find it amusing how The Comedian has an oddly similar look to Bucky as The Winter Soldier, presumably because both characters are riffing on the Captain Patriotic look.
Regarding Vigilante, he's an interesting character. I think I learned about him from a law and comics blog that discussed how he effectively deconstructs the Vigilante Man character type.
And in terms of another DC/Marvel comparison, the portrayal here reminds me a bit of Marvel's Foolkiller - In the sense of a wacky Serial-Killer Killer who has a straight-laced civilian identity.

First look at Naomi from DC Fandome, which follows a little bit of the original comic where she manages to witness the Man of Steel in action...kind of.
Furthermore, some new info on DMZ: the comic book adaptation of a modern day American Civil War from DC (2:53:18)
Just fyi we do have a thread on Naomi

He comes across as less competent than he was in the movie at least at first glance. Maybe he’s still recovering from being shot in the neck.
Also I wonder if Flagg’s last words “Peacemaker, what a joke” is gonna be arc words that will haunt Christopher throughout the series.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Wait, so is the show a sequel to The Suicide Squad after all?
I mean, the fact that we see Peacemaker in a hospital should make the answer to my question an obvious "yeah, Sherlock", but it's still really hard to tell.
It takes place after he was hospitalized by Bloodsport so yes.
Also I just read up on the Vigilante character and Jesus this guy's story is brutal. A hardcore deconstruction of the vigilante character where Adrian Chase undergoes a downward spiral into a total villain protagonist who broke all his codes and honor with his story ending with him taking his own life out of guilt for his violent methods/actions.
Certainly makes his words to Pacemaker take a new light.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I decided to give Legends another shot with a Season 6 episode and confirmed I should not have given Legends another shot with a Season 6 episode.
I just watched two grown men struggle to say goodbye to each other and one of them have a hissy fit over it. I cannot understand the writing of Ray and Nate's characters.
I genuinely loathe the direction this show went after Season 2. It feels like a waste of a premise that could have Rescued from the Scrappy Heap characters like Kid Flash, Jesse Quick, Roy, Dr. Light - or introduced new ideas like Diggle's son being Green Arrow, or just gotten rid of characters like Thawne and Merlyn with whatever notoriety they had left instead of the former living onto become a Nazi and have lightsaber duels with Godspeed.
The actors at least seem to be having fun. And I get a kick out of Ray somehow befriending Vandal Savage in Hell and marrying Nora Darhk and even getting to ally with/chat with Thawne. Sara and Mick are still entertaining.
But good god I despise everybody else. :(

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).According to Variety, Collin Farrell is confirmed to be reprising The Penguin for this upcoming spin-off HBO Max series focusing on him.
Farrell will first portray the villainous character in “The Batman” starring Robert Pattinson, which is due to be released on March 4, 2022. The series would then reportedly delve into The Penguin’s rise to power in the Gotham criminal underworld. Variety first reported the series was in development back in September, though Farrell was not attached at that time
Lauren Le Franc is attached to write the script for the series. Along with Farrell, “The Batman” director Matt Reeves and the film’s producer Dylan Clark would executive produce the Penguin series under their 6th & Idaho and Dylan Clark Productions banners respectively. Warner Bros. Television would produce.
Furthermore, a new trailer for Peacemaker came out pretty recently:

If the Penguin series is based on Pain and Prejudice, it would probably make a decent series. Not to mention it and Joker's Asylum are the comics that outright try to make the Penguin scary to an extent.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Huh looks like the events of the movie had an effect on Peacemaker there.
As Vigilante notes he's introspecting a lot, prolly after what happened with Flag and Ratcatcher II.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."According to Deadline, there is an upcoming CW series known as Gotham Knights. Though it shares aome loose plot details with the upcoming video game of the same name, it goes in a completely different direction. So far it's unclear if it's set in the Arrowverse proper, despite some staff crossover with Batwoman:
Could it be? A Jason Todd work that isn't Under the Red Hood?
Didn’t Titans kinda already do this?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Season 3 did adopt Red Hood.

So... Batman does Descendants?
Pass. Hard pass. Holy shit, I'm running in the opposite direction.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'd have liked to see a Descendants style show starring Conner Kent, Cassandra Cain, Jackson Hyde, Emiko Queen and Lyta Trevor.
Led by Damian.
We probably won't get that though. I expect these to be totally original characters which sucks...
Who cared about Scarecrow's son or Harley's daughter or whatever else we're getting.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Duella Dent maybe?
Man I already hate everything possible in that sentence.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
The best part of this is that Peacemaker isn't just a parody of Captain America, but a parody of John Cena himself (or at least his stage persona) at the same time.
That villain in green they're shown fighting at several points in the trailer, is that Copperhead?
