It's really difficult to see that there is actually a chase is going on, not just some guys mounting the stairs. However, the trope description seems to focus more on the cinematography aspect than the fact that there is a chase going on, and that is shown well by the image, so it might as well stay. But definitely remove the caption, which is just actively misleading.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.

I'd prefer panels 1+2. Panel 4 is too confusing to me.

Is this trope specifically about the camera angle used to shoot the chase sequence, or a chase sequence that happens involve a staircase in general? Because the examples read like the latter, but the description says it's just about the former.
I'm not sure, but the suggestion has both.

I like it, especially the first, but it's a bit grainy.
My preference is 12.1. I don't mind the Jitter Cam, as it gets the 'chase' scene across.

No consensus on a caption; locking up.
IDK if it's the monochromatic scheme, the angle, the size, or what, but I find it hard to really see what's going on in this picture without really looking at it.
