The rule about "Five-Man Band pics being Star Wars characters" hasn't been stringently enforced in a long time. I'm gonna leave this open for discussion because I can't find a previous thread, even though I'm pretty certain there's been at least one.
I think that's a nonsensical rule anyway so I don't care if it's broken in this instance. The dude in the image at least looks like a leader, so I think it's alright.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDoesn’t this rule predate The Leader taking The Hero’s place in the Band? Which is why it’s Luke on that page?
Most likely, that 's been in place since the early Eddie days if I'm not mistaken.
Keep the current for now; the rule about how all the Five-Man Band pics needing to be from Star Wars has become obsolete, and I find the concept of said rule to be pointless and kind of Fan Myopia-y.
back lolAlright, I just wanted to make sure the rule wasn't being violated under our nose. Maybe remove the mention of the "Five Man Band is Star Wars" rule on the Special Cases page, but add the Five-Man Band pages except The Leader to the "Don't change the pic" folder?

We've actually had several threads about the Star Wars pics. They're kept not because of the rule, but because we just thought they were good images. But if we thought they were bad, we would've changed them, admin fiat or not.

Keet cleanupKeep current, remove the FMB/SW rule. My only thought is that having all 5 members be from the same work could reinforce the connection, but those tropes can exist regardless of a proper FMB.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Working within the Star Wars constraint is tough, but here are a few possibilities.
Mon Mothma in SW Rebels, looking suitably leader-y among a the Ghost Crew.
Mon Mothma in episode 6, during the DS 2 destruction mission briefing.
Hera from Rebels◊, for basically all of the series she is the strategic and nominal leader if not the tactical one, organizing most missions and assigning crew.
Maybe more recognizable, Obi Wan with Luke◊ on Tatooine.
It seems to me like 12.1 shows the position the clearest, if we want to keep the "SW-only" rule.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)12.1 is pretty good.
12.1 is passable, don't get me wrong. But I don't want to change the image if the only reason for changing it is to conform with a very outdated rule.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessNo worries, I mostly did the above image search exercise so there'd be options to discuss. I might have blinders on, because I couldn't find nice ones of Leia as a Resistance General from episodes 7+ that would help show some of the transition between types of leader.
I thought the point of the Star Wars rule was that all the characters are from the same Five-Man Band?
12.1 is the strongest of those, but I think the current is better at actually looking leaderly.
Keep the current. The SW rule is stupid, and the current illustrates the trope better than any of the suggestions.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Keep current, as it's the most illustrative pic thus far.
The SW rule is ridiculous, and it's not like The Leader can only exist in the context of FMB.

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessClock is set.
The clock's up and the consensus is to keep the current, so it's tagged. Locking up.
According to Image Pickin' Special Cases, all members of the Five-Man Band should have pictures of Star Wars characters. However, the current image is of Aragorn, who is definitely not a Star Wars character. Anyone have any ideas for a replacement?
