Yeah, that's probably too much overlap...dunno how we didn't cover that in the previous thread.
In fairness, the suggesting post did say it was a dupe; I just figured it was a non-issue for most voters (work/trope page dupes are discouraged but aren't, like, a cardinal sin or anything) or we'd get around to it eventually.
I restored the crowner from the previous thread, as there were also good suggestions there.
As I did suggest the Uprising image in the OP in the old thread, I'm fine with swapping it to that as well

I didn't know there was a previous thread. But I also like this◊ image from it (I don't know the source for it, but it looks to me like concept art for Pacific Rim).
Previous threads are listed in commented-out tags at the top of the page (viewable with 'view markup') and should be checked before suggesting a new thread.
It doesn't look like PR concept art to me (if it is, it's far-removed from the film, and the signature says '2013' which is when the film came out). I tried to track the source; but this pinterest link◊ led me to a deactivated dA account. This suggests it's art for an RPG, Mecha vs. Kaiju.

For the record, here are the others from the previous crowner.
I really like 4, but unfortunately that one has a signature. Otherwise, I don't know, but the current is just so much better than the others.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I couldn't find any alternative covers for the book (as it seems to be a rather-old gamebook) so we can either replace Mech vs. Beast or live with the duplication. (I've always seen the latter option as acceptable, but I know other users feel otherwise.)
6.1 is the clearest for me.
I'd suggest something from the Super Peach's Castle of Fury fight, but I haven't found any good videos to take it from yet. Also not sure it'd work at wikisize since it's horizontally long.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢That sounds promising, but due to the whole "two screens" thing, I don't think it would make a good trope page image. If anyone wants to try, here is a video of the fight. (The Tower of Yikk from the same video would also be a good example, but it has the same problem.)

Clock is set.
Should we have another crowner...? It seems kind of weird to do so since the current previously beat out all the other suggestions, and it was a dupe back then too.
The webcomics folder gives us this strip from The Whiteboard. I think the second panel would work pretty well.
Because when in doubt, look at the webcomics folder. But failing that, yeah, we might need to run a second crowner.

Bump. Any comments on my suggestion? Is it a clear image, or is the "beast" character too anthropomorphic and not beastly enough to fit the page? The clock has expired, so I'd like to see some kind of resolution on this.
Not too fond of it since it doesn't have the sense of bigness the others do.
Reclocked. I don't mind .
Agreed.

Alright, this one isn't really going anywhere, the forum's really backlogged, and it's not a dealbreaker for a trope page and work page to have the same image, so I'm going ahead and locking up.
Mech vs. Beast uses a cropped version of the image on Literature.Robot Commando. I think it would be easier to find a picture for the former; in fact, the image links subpage gives us this◊ from Pacific Rim: Uprising and this◊ from Aliens.
