Checked CBC's laconic, and yep, definitely needs to merge.

back lolMerge. The wick and inbound counts are both low, so merging wouldn't take long.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. As a lumper, my inclination is also to merge. I don't think there's anything about comic books in particular that set them apart.
I would've agreed with the two tropes staying split if Sequel in Another Medium had so many "continued in a comic book" examples that it warranted its own sub-trope. But that's not the case here. So yes, I'm in favor of merging the two.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Merge

That's some pretty bad duplicate trope-ness there. Merge them.
Merge
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Three-day bump. The consensus is to merge with Sequel in Another Medium. Should we go ahead with the merge?
I don't think I have any, unless "sequel" and "continuation" are being used/treated as separate concepts.
...That's a good point. Continuations and sequels are two separate concepts, and Sequel in Another Medium currently requires an actual sequel. (Or prequel/interquel; the point is that continuations might not currently count.)

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.If continuations are splitworthy from sequels, should Comic Book Continuation be restricted to comics in the first place?
I dunno, it seems like splitting hairs. Many of the examples on the page are “sequels” merely by being released separately from the original work.

If we decide that continuations are different enough from sequels, this page should cover more than just comic books. Though I feel merging is the better option because Sequel in Another Medium is already being used for continuations and having separate pages for sequels and continuations would just lead to confusion. There's a lot of grey area between sequel and continuation.

The Continuations vs. Sequels divide seem like a Distinction Without a Difference to me.
There may be a difference between "sequel" and "continuation", but I don't think it's a very split-worthy difference.
I agree.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Do we need a crowner? It seems like most are on the side of merging, with some 'maybe' with regards to sequel vs. continuation.
I don't think it's necessary, but I might be wrong on this.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Well, I don't think it would hurt. If there are people who think this trope deserves to stay (whether due to the sequel vs. continuation distinction or some other reason), let's give them a chance to say their piece.
Comic Book Continuation is just The Same, but More Specific to Sequel in Another Medium, and there is also overlap with The Resolution Will Not Be Televised. It was brought up in TLP Crash Rescue, but the issue was not resolved there. I believe Comic Book Continuation should be merged with Sequel in Another Medium.
