Not Tropeworthy: Nobody Over 50 Is Gay

After going through the example list on the page, I just want to mention to those cleaning the wicks that some of the examples may fit better elsewhere. Some of the examples already mention these, actually.

• Word of Gay: The old character happens to be gay and it was mentioned by the creator.
• May–December Romance: For gay couples where one member is much older than the other, who is him-/her-self younger than 35.
• Age-Gap Romance: For gay couples where one member is significantly older than the other.
• Dirty Old Man: This is currently for just dirty old men, isn't it? We could migrate examples of dirty old gay men here.
• All Gays are Promiscuous: Gays being promiscuous, regardless of age.

I'm sure there's more, but I don't think we need to outright cut all examples if they fit better elsewhere.

So... It Is Beyond Saving? I don't know, isn't it possible to just do a content replacement without deleting the page? Not complaining, I'm just asking questions since I'm new here.

If there's something I'm missing, don't hesitate to correct me.

Not particularly; the title would need to change too, as well as the examples, because most of the examples aren't helpful, either. There have been times where we just made a description in a sandbox and swapped it out, but in those cases we were trying to better fit the title or examples.

All in all, while not cutting is the ideal we should strive for, sometimes there's just no choice. Sometimes something is so unsalvageable that it's better to just chop it and try again elsewhere.

I might try my hand at a Non Sexual Elders draft sometime this weekend; if any relevant examples are found to fit that concept kindly send them my way!

That leaves us with 127 wicks to go.

Down to 83. Went through the smaller sections. For some reason The Man From CAMP and Laconic.Nobody Over 50 Is Gay are making ghost wicks, but I requested the first one be recreated/cut and the laconic will be cut anyway.

In my travels, I found mostly ZCEs, so I'm real glad we're starting over if most are just:

• Nobody Over 50 Is Gay: Averted with Bob.

I saw some ZC Es myself during redirect dewicking. My favorite?

"As hard of an aversion as it can get" or something along those lines.
