Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

"Well, I brought this up because the rescue team had their powers temporarily suppressed to teach them a lesson, similar to what happened back then, but as part of a challenge. 6k1 reminded me that I can still solve problems even without my magic... just like Twilight when she and her friends had theirs removed by Discord before finding the Elements in the hedge maze!
"As for Ralsei, I've always trusted him as my healer... But what if he can't, and for whatever reason I can't draw up medical supplies and 6k1 isn't there to provide them?"

"Me neither, but Elliot, that nominator cat who was on the train with me and Ral, will make a wish with them to save his home planets after they were destroyed in a war. I doubt if the Balls will work outside their home universe, even if the tributes are able to use them in the Arena, but here's hoping for the best!"

The Database Library, Basement
At long last, the season has begun. Right after Mine Turtle hops away from the Cornucopia, it comes to life and gobbles Scott the Woz up, only to spit him out because he didn't taste so good. Lorenz then finds a sword that's strong enough to slice through it and destroys it, scaring several others away. However, the Vibe Check Monster does, well, a vibe check on the Cornucopia's ruins, accidentally setting off an explosive that kills him. Unfortunately, I Like Trains Kid was caught in the explosion, too.
6k1 shields her eyes from the blast as if she was there in person. It wasn't a cartoonish explosion that Mine Turtle would make. And speaking of, he doesn't explode when Deadpool attacks him. Instead, he sprays ketchup all over him and plays dead.
"I didn't know that turtle could play possum..."
Power's Art School
Paper shakes in her beanbag chair as Klub Kurloz gets away from the Cornucopia's destruction. She winces when they get caught in a revolving door, but cheers when they all get crushed by it.
"That door must've been made of the toughest materials in the Homestuck Universe if it was able to crush them like that... I guess I was worrying about them for nothing..."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

Ultra Deep Sea
Since they had attacked some of the Nihilegos, Jimin and Suga find themselves being injected with the creatures' neurotoxins. They groan as they clutch their arms where they were stung, and the rest of the members immediately surround them, concerned. They're all relieved when the ARMY is let go, though, and so RM, Jin and Jungkook head off to hug as many ARMYs as they can while V and J-Hope stay behind to make sure the injured members are okay.
"Are you guys okay?" V asks.
Suga groans again. "Feels… weird…"
"I'll see if I can get you all back to my fanfic school so that I can heal you two," says Psyche as she approaches them. "After that, I'll send you guys back home." She smiles. "Thanks for coming to save us, by the way."
J-Hope beams. "It's the least we can do!"
Soon enough, everyone is ready to return home. Psyche waves goodbye to the baby Nihilego as it vanishes, and she and BTS - all supporting Jimin and Suga by helping them walk - bid farewell to everyone and return to the Fanfic School while the other ARMYs all return to their respective homes.
Psyche's Fanfic School
"Psyche!" Ms. May pulls Psyche into a hug as soon as she returns home. "Thank goodness, you're back, safe and sound!" She pulls away and smiles at the boys. "Thank you so much for rescuing her…" Then she frowns at Jimin and Suga, who have now collapsed to their knees, clearly in pain. "Oh dear! Are you two alright?"
"They've been poisoned by the Nihilegos," Psyche informs the vice-principal. "I brought them here to heal them before they return home."
"I see, I see…" Ms. May takes two small vials of purple liquid out of her pocket and hands one of each to Jimin and Suga. "Drink this, all of it. You will feel much better."
They do so unsteadily, but as soon as they swallow it all down, they immediately feel much better and rise back up to their feet. "Thank you," says Jimin.
"Anytime," Ms. May replies.
Psyche leads the boys to the Tribute Transportation Room. "Thanks again for saving me, guys," she says. "I'm gonna need a long nap after this… but first, I gotta get you guys home. Can't wait to watch the Ego comeback trailer real soon!"
"You'll love it!" Jungkook assures her. The boys all wave goodbye to her as they vanish in a shimmer of light, returning home.
Psyche yawns and, after quickly letting Ms. May know what she's doing, heads straight to her living quarters and takes a well-deserved nap. She'll catch up with the season later, but she's had enough excitement for once. Besides, she needs to spend more time writing her fanfics.

Tabby splits up with just Pecan and the others who decided to join her to solve the puzzle. Kris and Susie go another way while Ralsei joins them.
"Thanks for solving the first puzzle, I guess. We should move on to the next one which looks harder but I'm sure we can handle it."
"I'll shoot for you and you move the boxes. I can tell you which boxes to push."
"A-okay!"
Tabby moves some boxes while some others help and/or watch. She gives the cue to Pecan who shoots but she fails.
"Gosh dang it! It didn't hit!"
"That's okay,we wont get it the first time."

Susie's Ship, District 1
"How's the progress?"
Forte is still awaiting for Susie to repair the robot, she has placed all of her hope and trust onto Susie.
"Her rib is bleeding, and you're the only one who can help her."
Abandoned Tactical Doll Factory, District 1
As soon as Yegor and Alina leave the cafe, they head straight to a nearby factory and trash some Griffon & Kryuger Tactical Dolls, trying to race for how quick they can destroy the Tactical Dolls.
"Finally found me, huh? I'm Viking, and please call me Viking- WHAT?!"
Alina immediately grabs her first victim and slams the Tactical Doll against the wall, before finishing the doll off with some green homing beam projectiles fired from a glowing Rubik's Cube. The way how she executes the Tactical Dolls is just plain sadistic. Yegor then covers Alina and goes after the tougher dolls.
"Want to have some choco- ?!"
He goes for a straightforward headshot and double-taps the corpses to make sure the dolls are destroyed, showing a sense of professionalism. Through their teamwork, it takes less than 15 minutes for them to clear out the entire factory of dolls.
"That was fun. Alina can't wait to use everything I've learned here onto the other Magical Girls who get in Alina's way. Yegor, thanks for introducing Alina to this new hobby."

6k1 just laughs at the sheer absurdity of what Mine Turtle said to Emperor Dankatine, who simply says, "that's bullshit, but I like it." She does a double take when Breakbot enters the Detective Agency.
"I hope Meester Tweester does a good job continuing GC's legacy..."
But right after she says that, Breakbot fails to solve the case of the Spinning Roach's missing hat and is told to leave by... Tableturner?!
"Is this guy now the one running this agency, and also the Hero School? I've got to have an interview with him after this season!"
The next day, "hire a samurai" ponifies Mine Turtle
◊ and rides on him. 6k1 snickers as the pony bucks him off before he could sit on the button by accident.
Hotland - 1st Level
"Kris! Susie! Great job solving that puzzle!" Ralsei claps for them.
The dinosaur groans. "Well, that was easy... easier than those damn lasers!"
They then all meet with the others at the doorway. Once Tabby and Pecan meet up with them, it opens with a loud thud, and they proceed to the next room.
"W-Who turned out the lights?" asks Ralsei as they all step in. Suddenly, the lights turn on to reveal a set for a cooking show.
Welcome, Dragon Ball Hunters, to Cooking With a Not-So-Killer Robot!!!
The modified title card appears below the set as the show's theme song plays. Mettaton, in his chef's hat, applauds as he greets his wonderful guests, who introduce themselves to him.
"I thought it was Cooking With a Killer Robot, like in Frisk's story?" asks Ralsei, his face derped up.
That was back when I was PRETENDING to be one! But that's another story, so back to the show!
He snaps his fingers to activate an electrical forcefield behind the team.
I'll be baking a FABULOUS cake as congratulations for making it this far!
"But we haven't even made it past this crappy floor just yet!" Susie cries out loud.
"Hey, don't insult the host like that!" Ralsei retorts.
This is a family show! says Mettaton.
"Whatever, as long as we find that darn Dragon Ball..."
Anyway, I still need the ingredients for this. Mettaton gestures to the goat. Ralsei, would you kindly get them for me, please?
"Sure thing, Mettaton! Besides, I like baking cakes, just like you!"
You're flattering me, darling!
Ralsei searches the kitchen for sugar, milk, and eggs and brings them to him. Mettaton checks the recipe, but puts a hand to his boxy head.
OH, DEAR! We're missing just ONE ingredient! HOW are we gonna get this cake done?!
Susie rolls her eyes underneath her bangs. "You remind me so much of Rouxls Kaard."
Who?
"Eh, it's nuthin'."
Kris then points ahead of the group. On the far end of the set is a can propped on a small platform. Everyone follows them there, but the platform suddenly starts rising when Kris tries getting it.
Mettaton flies to the group.
I need a volunteer to fly all the way to the top of this floor to get it! But they better hurry, because they have only 1 minute, or no Dragon Ball for you!!! Disclaimer: the ingredient is NOT a human SOUL, so nothing to worry.
He also prepares to throw eggs and dump flour at them to slow them down.

Distortion World
After the rescue's success, Deoxys, Ridley and Mewtwo took their own portals back to the Mystery Dungeon World. There, Deoxys immediately turned back into a triangle and flew away, like if it was avoiding something. Then, Ridley and Mewtwo got back to the Distortion World. Giegue sighed in relief upon seeing Mewtwo alright.
Once Giratina returned, most of Scipion's tributes decided to leave to their respective worlds, just like most of Scipion's old guard before. Ridley had to go back to his master, Mother Brain as the AI disovered various Chozo ruins that could serve their nefarious plans.
Thorax didn't really felt well being with so many villains, especially after Scipion's recent breakdown. Obviously, Pharynx followed his brother, refusing to leave him alone.
As for Firebrand, he received concerning news about humans invading the Demon Realm. The demon was also interested in Zarblin, wanting to turn the stupid bokoblin into a mighty warrior.
Only the Dark Star remained, due to it's loyalty to Giratina, as well as Mewtwo and Giegue since they had nothing else to do. Giratina agreed and, like the rest of Scipion's other tributes, demanded that they stayed in contact with him before sending them back to their world.
As Giegue and Mewtwo were reading books the alien brought with him, Giratina was silently looking at the ruins where Scipion have been for quite some time. The Zoroark didn't left this place ever since the attack.
The Renegade sighed as he opened up a portal before disappearing inside. Scipion was watching the scene from afar. He also heard about the recent news, including his bannishement from Panem as well as Psyche's rescue and most of his tributes leaving.
Scipion looked very tired. He didn't ate or drank anything for a long time. He also had a lot of scars. He visibly clawed at himself in frustration.
Scipion have been thinking a lot. Aaron. 6k1. His father...
It will not surprise me if even she will not forgive you after what you did.
Those words kept resonating within him. He didn't even knew what to think. And then, he got an idea.
Scipion got up. He summoned a portal towards Panem. He smiled weakly as he entered while at the same time, a red aura was engulfing him.
"Unacceptable. Must eliminate. No trace left."

While watching Pony!Mine Turtle's antics, 6k1 prepares her interview questions. Tableturner already lived up to his name, and his connection with GC has intrigued her.
Suddenly, she hears noises akin to nails scratching the chalkboard. 6k1 checks her security cams and sees the Go Away Cat Carpet sliding into the Library and violating the most basic etiquette, disturbing the patrons. Sophie promptly orders the janitor to throw it out.
"Finally..."
6k1 texts Sophie a job well done and watches the sunrise. Pony!Mine Turtle makes That Damn 4th Chaos Emerald explode, thinking it was feigning surrender.
"Now there's the cartoonish explosion I was waiting for..."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World
It was a moonless night. Giratina arrived at the front of a small cave and entered it by turning into his shadow form.
"Oh? Lord Giratina. I wasn't expecting your visit. It certainly has been a long time..." a feminine voice said from the darkness.
"Indeed. I was quite surprised to learn that you were actually alive. My congratulations."
The voice chuckled.
"I am flattered, your demonic higness. But I'm guessing you are not here for mere chatting, am I wrong?"
Giratina nodded. "It is about Scipion."
The figure smirked in the shadows. "I see. Tell me more." she said.
Rescue Squad's camp
After gathering some supplies for their camp, Aaron and his friends decided to visit 6k1 to apologise about what happened as well as to try to find a way to thank her. On their way to the Library, the trio came across a public TV showing the current season and they were quite intriged to see the memetic version of Landorus-Therian here.
"Well, I know the tribute I'm rooting for!" Alex said, smiling at the Pokemon's progress. Aaron also stopped to watch the season, quite interested by it.
"Guys." Tokage said. "The library is not that far, we can watch the season over there if you want."
"Oh C'mon! That season is really fun, I Don't want to miss a single bit!" Alex complained.
"I agree with Tokage." Aaron replied. "I'm sure we can watch a recap at the library if we miss an update."
"No! I want to watch it live!" Alex said, crossing his arms and refusing to leave.
Before Aaron could say anything, Tokage told them to wait a bit before jumping to a nearby tree. He came back soon with a phone.
"I've seen various humans using this thing to watch the season. I stole one from one bypasser."
"Stole? But that's not right!" Aaron exclaimed, causing Tokage to smile a bit.
"Relax. I took it from one who was about to buy a new one. It was useless to him anyways."
"Yeah, but still..." Aaron sighed as they resumed their short travel with Alex focused on the season and Aaron watching it from time to time.
"Unacceptable. Must eliminate. No trace left."

As the days pass by, 6k1 rehearses her questions by practicing in front of a mirror, then with Ally, who roleplays as the interviewee the best that she can. Once 6k1 feels confident for it, she takes some water to clear her throat. She then sees the Rescue Squad entering the Library and goes up to greet them.
The Database Library, Entrance Hall
On the way to meet her Pokemon friends, 6k1 covers her ears upon seeing "hire a samurai" march into the Library, the clanging of his armor and sword echoing through the hallway. She stops him in his tracks and shows him the door, then turns to the Squad.
"Sorry about that, that was the second tribute visitor we had this season. We also had to throw out a carpet that was noisier than him. Don't ask."

Kirby
Marx's Shack
Marx is watching the the current season. Suddenly, he hears explosions from his lab. He hastily goes down to find his T-Dolls combusted. All of them. Including his two elites.
"Who. Did. THIS!?"
Marx then looked at the security camera to find the Magical Girl that antagonized him: Homura. She used her powers to freeze time and put timed explosives on each and every Doll, and sets them off.
"So... we meet again, imbecile. Too bad you didn't know about my backups."
Marx pushes a button. In an instant, cute, cubical robots of varying colors emerge. A gold-plated one comes up into Marx's view.
"Good evening, Master."
"I knew these things will come in handy someday. Hehehehehe... Now to test my newest weapon. Follow me, commander."
Marx goes to a small room. At the center is a large cannon.
"Behold, the Dark Cannon. My old scientists reverse-engineered this device from the Subspace Army, a dark force that has threatened Kirby and his friends before. With this device, anyone who opposes me will be instantly turned into a trophy. Using this, i will defeat Kirby for good! But first, a test."
Marx then led his commander and some of his friends into a giant device. He turns it on, and they all get in with the Dark Cannon in tow.
Nowhere Islands
They arrive in Tazmily of Nowhere Islands, the homeplace of Lucas and his family. Marx then led his robots into a house, Lucas' house. In front is Boney, Lucas' trusty dog. The dog excitedly jumps at Marx apparently wanting to play with him.
"Hasta La Vista, Poochie."
Marx fires his Cannon at Boney. In an instant, poor Boney is reduced into an inanimate trophy.
"It worked!"
Flint, the patriarch of the family, and Lucas, the lone son, storms outside.
"What's the meaning of this!?" Yelled Flint.
"Uh oh..." Said Lucas after he saw Boney's trophy. "Dad, no!"
"Looks like we got... COMPANY"
Marx fires the cannon at Flint.
The Spacepod
Kirby and Magolor are visiting the Nowhere Islands with Ness and his 3 friends.
"Is this where your old friend Lucas lives?"
"Yes, and i can't wait to see him!"
"Okay! we land in three, two, one..."
The Pod lands. Suddenly, Kirby and Magolor hear screams. They storm into view and see Lucas cowering. Marx is about to fire.
"Hey, you!"

Tabby,with a annoyed look,shoots at energy ball at the robot. He manages to barely dodge it.
"Tabby,what the heck did you just do?"
"Getting that Dragonball,Speedrun Edition."
"Honestly,I know this guy for a couple of seconds but I have enough of him."
"Well,you screwed up big time! We might not even get it now to your terrible actions!"
"Good job,you really showed that guy,huh?"
"DON"T ENCOURAGE HER,SUSIE!"
"You know what, maybe me or Kris can volunteer to get the secret ingredient and it better not be a severed foot."
"Yeah,you can go get it,Pecan. I support ya. I'm sick and tired on being on fucking Hell's Kitchen this time."
"Yeah,thank you."
"Host,I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!"
Mettaton gladly accepts her offer. Then suddenly,something glows around Pecan and she is teleported away somewhere else.
"What in god's name happened here. Is some witchcraft crap?"
"Actually,a new season has started taking in tributes. I only nominated one tribute,another girl named Hilda,but a mysterious force might of caused Pecan to be a tribute in this season. Like how Psyche and the rest of ARMY ended up in the Arena."
"Well,Kris could be volunteer instead. I don't think he minds."
Kris gives a thumb up and walks up to the platform,giving Mettaton the heads up that they will be Pecan's replacement. They then tries to doge the flying the projectiles.

"Yes,sir. Maybe you can teleport one of Tabby's little friends to the Arena as a tribute. Probably that little brat with the acorn hair. What was her name,Pecan?"
"I'll be on my way,Sir Terminus. It was a pleasure talking to you."
He then teleports away to his own personal quarters.
The Arena
"Where am I?"
