Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Yes, his name is Ridley, and all he wanted to do was get here and ruin dreams for the fun of it. (Veena says, she and Joaquin moving closer to each other.) We defeated him, though...I think.
Well, that's good. I'm glad you told me about this Ridley person so we can be ready for him if he comes back. (Zuma says.) I'm very proud of you all for stopping Ridley and saving your friend here. You have done well and that gives me hope that the disaster the Chozo and Elder Nochehautl foresaw can be avoided. Joaquin, Veena, I already know you will make fantastic Elder Alebrije when you're ready.
Yeah, but it ain't over yet. (Knox says.) We still got a lotta work to do. Fire Eyes? You rememberin' anything yet?

You got it! (Baloo says. He steers the Sea Duck until it's directly over the Iron Vulture. A small door on the top that's big enough for all but Baloo to fit through can be spotted.)
Now how do we get down there without gettin' blown away? (June wonders.)
(Kit gets out his crescent-shaped skyboard.) I could glide down!
Really?
Sure, just get me a rope to hang on to. (Kit says.) I'll tie it off to something and you can climb down, too.
Yeah, but after we've attached ourselves to rope, too, right? It's an awful long way down if we fall. (June says, spotting some piles of rope toward the back of the Sea Duck.)
Hanubia/Icicle Mountain/Looniverse
(The Shape Shifter sets off to the Looniverse.)
Very well, I know of one cold universe for sure. (Dark Stanford says.)
(He takes the group to a very cold mountain. Of course, due to Raven Beak and the soldiers' armor and Dark Stanford...being Dark Stanford, the cold is unlikely to affect them very much.)
Is this cold enough for you? (Dark Stanford asks with a smirk.)
(Dess is keeping watch outside the cottage when they see someone approaching. They jump off the roof, regain their corporeal form, and go inside to find the others.)
(They get to Lyric first.) Lyric, I think we got company!
Oh? Is it anybody Bugs knows? (Lyric asks.)
Dunno, it looked like a short lil white version of Wile E. Coyote. (Dess says.)

"That looks dope." Alex said to Kit.
"I think June is right. It's best that we attach ourselves to rope. The wind seems pretty strong at this altitude." Tokage said.
"Hey, don't be scared, June. We can reach that door safe and sound. We can be attached together if you want to." Aaron reassured his girlfriend, putting a paw on her shoulder.
Icicle Mountain/Looniverse
Raven Beak stoically folded his arm, his cape and fabrics billowing in the wind.
"This should be enough." he said.
It didn't take long for Onox to notice Dess having gotten to Lyric. The big cat walked towards them.
"Guys? Is something wrong?" he asked.
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."

Power continues hugging Ichi. "Anyway, before we get going, do you mind if we catch up on the other seasons we missed?"
Belissima's Realm
Justice and the mother smile at the foals having fun, although the prankster keeps his distance from them.
"Hey Belissima!" he calls out to her. "Can you give me a paintbrush?"
"What's the magic word?" his mother asks him.
He groans. "Please..."

"Okay, see ya!" Berdly Prime says to the "Other" Berdly.
He and the rest of the team start walking back to where they came from, and he calls Ally that their work here is done.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we have just received a report from the Travel Department that the portal malfunctioned, and it sent the "Other" Berdly back into the world you are currently in.
"What, seriously?!"
Unfortunately, that is true. The staff shall now attempt to close the portal to mitigate any further disaster and investigate the cause of the malfunction.
"Okay, please do so! Last thing I want is a Lightner from that identical Deltaverse coming in here and foiling our rescue mission!"
"Ayyyy, been a while since our last adventure, and I'm in the mood for it!" Susie pumps her fists.
"I hope your lookalike's alright..." Noelle tells Berdly Prime.
"Yeah, I hope so, too..." adds Ralsei.
Kris gives the team a thumbs-up at their new mission, but asks Berdly Prime where the "other" one is. He relays that to Ally, who tells him, The Travel Department has the approximate coordinates, but is unable to determine his EXACT location. They also detected an unidentified being accompanying him, so you should stay on guard. I shall upload the coordinates into your Smart Scouter so that you can utilize it as a GPS map. Do you approve of this?
"Yes, Ally."
OK, commencing data transfer...
Once it's done, a simplified map appears on the Smart Scouter's UI, and an arrow points in the direction of where the "Other" Berdly went.
"Alright, thanks!"
It is no problem. Do you need further assistance?
"No need, I think we Expanded Delta Warriors can handle this on our own! But of course, we'll call you in case of emergency!"

He ends the call and leads the team in the arrow's direction.

To Mintleaf Tempest: Technically, 6001's allergies can be advantageous depending on the situation. For example, she is also allergic to flowers, but if she is a Mudkip, her sneezes are turned into Ice Beams, which certainly helped her in her battle against Photoshop Flowey (who was a Mega Sunflora, a Grass/Dark-type Pokémon) during Scipion's party. It was still a difficult battle for her, but she managed to defeat him with the assistance from her friends. And before you ask, I am aware that Sunfloras NORMALLY cannot Mega Evolve, but that was a mutation caused by the Malice inside him at the time.
Anyway, I do not see how her feline allergies are going to help her if she will visit the café, therefore, do whatever you can to accommodate her.
Frisk continues telling 6k1 how the ride to school went, which had Sans changing the bus's form every time he dropped by a student's house to pick them up.
"He turned it into a snowmobile for Snowdin, a ferry for Waterfall, and a hot-air balloon for Hotland."
"Amazing! Did he also shrink the bus and take you on a field trip to one of the secret areas?"
"Yep, but too bad we didn't find Gaster, though."
"And for all the reckless driving that Sans did, the detour was actually my idea," says Toriel. "What other way could I make their lessons fun before the ones in the classroom actually begin?"
"Awwww!" says Asriel. "Wish I joined you there!"
"You will get to ride it someday, my son,—" Asgore chuckles, "—but I simply walked you to school when it was almost time."

Nine-Tailed Cat stepped out of the commentary booth to find Cassandra Beech waiting for him. She gave him a quick salute before handing him the receipts for their latest batch of tributes."Well done out there, boss!" she said. "I wish I could have been there! Might want to consider hiring another assistant - readying tributes, doing arena maintenance, and hosting games is a lot of work, after all, and it'd give you someone to help out if you ever nominate me!"
"Yes, thank you," said Nine-Tailed Cat. "But first, we should talk about these new tributes of yours."
"The dinosaurs?" Cassandra laughed. "Oh, don't worry about that! They don't even care about a pyroclastic wall of doom - heck, sometimes they even run towards it - so they're clearly unafraid to die! Totally ethical, you see?"
Nine-Tailed Cat raised an eyebrow, but decided not to argue with her. "So I see," he said. "Not what I expected my last shot at this Battle Royale to be, but they'll do. At the very least, they probably won't get expelled for swearing."
"Yep!" Cassandra nodded, her tail swishing as it so often did. She looked over at the tribute quarters and waved to the Stegosaurus and Triceratops getting settled in there. "Good luck, big guys! Prehistory has its eyes on you!" She then turned back to Nine-Tailed Cat. "So, ready to go back to the lab, boss?"
"Almost ready," said Nine-Tailed Cat. "I'll just take a few minutes to make sure no one needs anything else from me here, since I've had to come in on short notice before. You're welcome to tag along."
The fennec nodded. "Of course! Better safe than sorry, after all!"
And with that, the two made one last check-up around the Arena before heading out.

Team Fruit Salad's Pit
With the season over, Letooce and Strawbrey tried to figure out their next set of tributes.
"I think I have an idea. Komasan and Komajiro, from Yo-Kai Watch. Those two would be interesting."
"Sounds good! Can you nominate them as a group tribute though, I have an idea too."
"What is it?"
Strawbrey pulled up a photo of Letooce's Pokemon plushies that she took before she moved to the team's pit.
"NO!"
"YES!"
"Strawbrey..." Letooce hid her head in embarrassment. "Okay... fine. Just say they were my childhood plushies or something like that."
"Sweet!" Strawbrey went to data clone the tributes as Limeis got out of the bathroom, in sleeping clothes.
"Hey Limeis."
"Hello. I'll be in my room if you need me for anything."
"Alright. There's one thing I want to ask though. Strawbrey might try to drag me along and interact with the other nominators. Can you nominate tributes for us if we're ever gone and you're still here?"
"I can do that."
"Thanks. Goodbye."
"Goodbye."

(Surprisingly, one of them is Sidon.) Wait, Miss Kay, I should be down there with Princess Wanda and the others, I don't think I should be in a season again just yet. (Sidon says.)
(He turns to see who he has been nominated with. It's another humanoid fish creature like him.) Greetings, sir. You are-
Yes, yes, I know. I am "curiously attractive for a fishman". I am told this all the time. (Rikuo says.)
Erm, I'm sorry, I was just going to tell you that you seem similar to my own kind. (Sidon says.)
Ah, I apologize. (Rikuo says.) Are you able to mimic other aquatic life?

(Rikuo stands down.) Ah yes. The scruffy wolfman was in one season of these recently. This will not prevent me from returning to my kingdom, will it?

Yes, and I do not wish to be away from my kingdom nor my family for too long. (Rikuo says.) This had better be quick.
Yeah, don't worry, it should. (Kay says. She turns to Sidon.) You said you didn't wanna be in the season, right?
I would prefer to return to the others, yes. (Sidon says.)
Guess we can try this new setting Stanford, Tay, and Stef added to the control panel while they were working on it. (Kay says.) Looks like now we'll always have a way to clone people here now instead of waiting for Stanford to bring his cloning remote to us.

(Kay hits the button and a laser comes out of the control panel, scans Sidon, then a second Sidon immediately appears beside the first.)
Madness! (Rikuo gasps in shock.)
Erm, greetings, Prince Sidon. It is a pleasure to meet you. And I to you, Prince Sidon. (The two Sidons awkwardly greet each other.) How...exceedingly odd.
Yeah, but at least now you can go back down into Belissima no problem. (Kay says.)
Yes, of course. (Sidon says, turning to Sidon #2.) Best of luck, Prince Sidon. I believe in you!
(They both pull off Sidon's usual pose in each other's direction before the original Sidon goes back down into Belissima.)
(Rikuo continues to look on in shock.) The magic of other worlds confounds me. (He says.)

(Belissima rolls a paintbrush over to the little prankster.)
(Sidon rejoins Wanda and Cleo, who are looking around for where Sidon went.) I'm sorry, my participation this season was required.
Yeah, I was wondering where you went off to. Glad you're okay. (Wanda says.) You have a clone going in instead of you?
Yes, as...odd as that is. (Sidon says.) But I met a curiously Zora-like fellow who is also the ruler of a kingdom, as I am destined to be. It is curious the similarities some universes share.
Perhaps we might meet him? (Cleo asks.)
I am not sure that is possible. He seemed very anxious to return to his kingdom, so I am unsure he desires to stay here any longer than he desires. (Sidon says.)
(Sidon thinks.) ...I hope my own kingdom is carrying on well. It has been a few days since I have been back. (He says.)
Hey, maybe when this all blows over we can go back there and check up on things. (Wanda says.) I kinda wanna see what your place is like.
An excellent idea, Princess Wanda! (Sidon says.) I would be honored to show you around my kingdom.

(As the Pokémon get ready to climb down, Kit jumps out with his glider and surfs down to the door, managing to land by it. He ties the rope off and signals for June and the others to climb down once they're ready.)

(By this point, the Pokémon have filled Larry and Alfred on what's going on...though it took a while for Larry to wrap his mind around the whole thing.)
Uh, gosh, that sounds bad. (Larry says.)
Indeed it does, but are you sure you must take Stella out of her own world? (Alfred asks.)
It will only be for a short time until Dark Stanford and Raven Beak are stopped. (Shelley says.) If we don't, Dark Stanford and Raven Beak's forces will come here themselves and a lot of people will end up getting hurt.
Hey, we've got lots of heroes around here, you sure we can't take them? (Larry asks.)
As we've said already, they have access to powers and abilities far more advanced than a lot of the worlds we've been to. (Shelby says.) If they come here, your city may well end up getting wiped off the face of the earth and you along with it!
(Everyone is silent for a moment.)
I don't think Stella will appreciate being temporarily removed from her universe, but perhaps if you explain to her what is at stake, both her own life and those of the good people of Bumblyburg, she...MAY understand. (Alfred says.)
So where will we find her? (Shelby asks.)
Uh...I dunno. (Larry says.) Alfred?
You may wish to check the Grand Hotel at the corner of Vischer and Nawrocki, but getting into such a place will be difficult, especially for creatures such as yourself whom I am sure animal control is still looking for. (Alfred says.)
That makes sense...oh, why didn't we become talking vegetables too? (Shelley sighs.)
Shelley, don't worry, we'll come up with a plan, I'm sure of it. (Shelby says.)
Or, hey, like, why don't we just tell 'em what's going on? (Wes asks.) We're with this Larry-guy now, right? And they trust him, don't they?
Well, I've helped save Bumblyburg a few times already, so I hope they do. (Larry says.)

I mean, not immediately, but-
(The small coyote(?) walks in behind Dess. He seems very worried.)
Well, hey there, little fella. What's wrong? (Lyric asks.)
(The coyote(?) waves his arms frantically and contorts his body into the shape of a Mawkin soldier (which would appear to be the coyote getting around an inability to speak but is actually the Shape Shifter subtly using his signature power).)
Wait, I think I got it! He's Stanford's other self here! (Dess realizes.)

Fire Eyes closed his eyes briefly, thinking as hard as he could before sighing.
"Not much. I just remember small bits of my last talk with him and my squad before he left." the Chozo said.
Cape Suzette
The Rescue Squad watched in awe as Kit reached the door with the rope in hand.
"Alright!! Let's kick some pirate butts!!" Alex exclaimed, preparing to jump off the plane.
"Hey, Alex! The rope!" Tokage pointed out.
"Oh right... Would be dumb if I fall down." Alex groaned, attaching himself to the rope.
"WOOHOO!!" the Charmeleon then shouted, being the first to climb down. Next Tokage got to the plane's exit after attaching himself, hesitating a little, before carefully following his partner.
Lastly, Aaron also attached himself to the rope alongside June and carefully got to the plane's exit. After having made sure that she was fine, he looked down for a moment.
"Good thing we don't have fear of heights..." he muttered, trying to focus on the airship instead, feeling the strong wind. He took a deep breath before looking up at June.
"Okay, hold on tight to me... Three... Two... One... Here we go! WHOAH!!" Aaron said, yelping as he left the plane with June.

Onox got really confused at the coyote(?) being unable to speak, and he didn't get the Mawkin soldier shape at first.
"Oh... Wait, you mean the guys he's trying to save from his mean self? And what about that weird bird man?" the brute asked.
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."

The Database Library, Basement
While 6k1 is talking with her family, Ally arranges with Jumba (and to a lesser extent, Mrs. Hasagawa) to data clone Manners and offer him to use VR. Manners declines, for he's still a pacifist despite his primary function to shut down bad people by forcing them to be polite. Ally then orders a Science Center staff member to catch a male Indeedee for his VR session, and then goes back to the office to check on 6k1.
How is your conversation with your family?
"So far, so good!"
That is good to hear. But in other news, Nine-Tailed Cat and Cassandra Beech are somewhere in the Arena if you want to meet them.
"Oh right, was thinking of meeting up with them later, but family matters first."
"Excuse me, my child, but who are they?" asks Toriel.
"They're one of the new nominators and his assistant, respectively."
"I see!"
However, is it alright with you if I meet with them on your behalf? Ally asks 6k1.
"Sure, I don't mind. Besides, I need more time to think of my meeting with them because of my cat allergies."
OK, may you continue having optimal enjoyment with your family.
Ally exits the office and goes out of the Library. She shapeshifts into Carlos's falcon form and flies around the Arena, using his zoom lens to look for NTC and Cass. He hopes that he would have enough time to know more about them before the next season begins.
Belissima's Realm
While the foals are busy painting, Justice goes over to Wanda, Cleo, and Sidon.
"Hold up... ya still needed to be cloned even if everyone in the Arena is cloned?" he asks Sidon. "Can't ya just have that government-mandated data clone's memories transferred to you later? I don't think all of 6k1's tributes use VR despite its near-guaranteed safety, so they opt for that instead. Am I makin' sense here?"
Eastborough
The Expanded Delta Warriors follow Berdly Prime through the woods, searching for the "other" one. They all keep their guards up, ready to summon their weapons in case a monster ambushes them.
"Are we getting closer yet?" asks Ralsei.

Susie pouts at him. "Yeahhhh, things with 'em weren't great at first..." she tells Noelle.
"But it's good that you're friends now!" she says, smiling.
Berdly Prime then stops in his tracks. "Hey guys, there's something up ahead."
Kris asks him what it is, and the latter steps aside to show them the shack. Noelle shivers at it and grips Susie's claw tighter, blushing a little.
"Do you think your 'other' you went in there?" Ralsei asks Berdly Prime.
That's when they hear "Other" Berdly and an unfamiliar voice screaming inside.
"Well, there's your answer, so let's hurry!"
The EDW head into the shack.

"Wh — kid, you can't just run off —" Libby steps out and runs after the smol one — but the portal closes. "Shoot! And we don't have any other battery artifacts... I mean there's one, but — it's not finished... Where'd she even get off to, anyway?"

"I see, I see! So it looks like everything's in order, then..." The fennec paused and flicked her large ears. "Did you hear something? Might've just been the wind..."

(Overhearing the discussion, Stef approaches.) I did implement some of my own technology into the new version of the control panel, so Sidon should be able to merge back with his clone, as both I and Wanda's parents did, and gain the memories that the second Sidon experienced.

Yeah, the alebrijes whose souls I was carryin' around with me were able to so I could recognize somebody. (Knox says. His hat wiggles as Fredita confirms this. Knox is reminded that he needs to search this world for the fragments of Fredita's soul.)
Alebrijes CAN manipulate the memories of dreamers, but that is not encouraged because of the damage it can potentially cause, such as lost memories, giving them memories they never experienced, or even changing their memories entirely. Plus we cannot enter Fire Eyes' subconscious without the Hypnos Stone anyway. (Zuma explains.)

"Yeah. I can see them too. No signs of Carnage or the Altford though." Aaron said, spotting some of them.
"So what do we do, guys? Do we try to sneak past those guys, or do we beat them the old-fashioned way?" Alex asked.

They then enter the Spacepod.

Magolor then starts a video call with Mr. Star.
"What's up?"
"There's a strange creature on the loose! It looks like a pink siphonophore! We've been looking for those weird stars that fell down to Earth, but we were ambushed!"
Magolor then sends him a picture of Lumen.
"Oh, my. That does sound concerning."
"You'd better tell the others!"
"Right!"
Magolor ends the call. Mr. Star then makes a text message to 6k1, Bale, Eye-Sicle, and Scipion.
Good evening, friends. I just received an urgent message from Magolor. He told me that there's a creature on the loose, and it resembles a giant siphonophore. That creature might be a threat!
He also puts Magolor's image of the creature and attaches it to the message. He sends it.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Berdly Prime crosses his wings. "We were just about to rescue my identical alt self in there!" he says as he points to the shack's entrance. "But please don't ask about my red crest, I dyed it so you can tell that I'm not the missing Berdly in question. 'Sall I'm sayin'."

Power watches S269 and frowns at 6k1's tributes early deaths, as usual, but then she notices something... unusual among the MGTs.
"Ichi? Can you pause that for a moment? I know we both dislike MGTs, but I think I saw a clone/alt of 6k1 in there..."
"So what?" asks Star. "The real one is probably safe and sound in the Library! Why do you still care about the clone?"
Power folds her ears, remembering the promise she made with Ichi and Miranda. "Um..."

Just then, Ally lands in front of NTC and Cass and looks up at them.

He's about to add, And boy, are my wings tired! when he receives Mr. Star's warning.
Will you please excuse me for a moment? I am synchronized with 6001's cellular phone, so whatever messages she receives, I receive, too. She is currently preoccupied with discussing important family matters with the Dreemurrs, so I shall reply to this message on her behalf.
He turns around and puts a wing to his head to download the image of the siphonophore and technopathically reply to Mr. Star, Duly noted, but since 6001 is preoccupied with another task, please do not disturb her in the meantime. Also, are you aware that Mintleaf Tempest has a group chat for the nominators? If that is true, is it okay if I add your name to it so you will be up-to-date with them?
He then thinks to himself, It is a good thing that I am replying to him on behalf of 6001. She may be making significant progress in accepting her aromanticism/asexuality, but I do not want her to feel obligated to come out to him just because he messaged her.

After data cloning, Letooce and Strawbrey looked at the tributes for this season. They saw that the bi flag was nominated, glanced at each other, and stayed silent for a few seconds.
"Why did that nom call me out like that?"
Arena
Nine sentient Pokemon plushies appeared in the arena.
"WHA- WHAT IS THIS???" the Piplup named Flipper immediately asked. "IS THIS THE FREAKING HUNGER GAMES?"
"The... what?" the Sylveon named Sprinkles responded, worried.
"The Hunger Games. Everyone kills each other until there's a winner." The Umbreon named Glow explained. This did nothing to calm down Sprinkles' nerves.
"Wait... SO WE'RE GONNA DIE?!?!"
"If you freak out the whole time, yes."
Sprinkles started to cry. The Mimikyu named Nano began to panic as well in response.
"I- I don't want to die..."
"Nobody's going to die if we just play this smart!" The Squirtle named Bubble reasoned with everyone, trying to hide that he was terrified too.
"But what if Glow tries to kill us?" the Bulbasaur named Tango questioned, also terrified.
"I'M LITERALLY ON YOUR SIDE."
"Hey, if we are going to die, can I sing us a song before then?" the Jigglypuff named Kacy asked, not understanding the gravity of this situation.
"NO!" Glow and Flipper yelled in unison.
"Yeah, please no."
"Why do bad things always have to happen to us?" The Ditto named Gooper said to himself. He transformed into another Mimikyu so he wouldn't be complete dead-weight. "Can't we just have a normal day for once?"
"Apparently not." Bubble sighed.
Meanwhile, the Munchlax named Toothy didn't pay attention to everyone else complaining and watched the other tributes. Tango noticed this and turned towards him.
"How do you feel, best friend?" Tango asked him.
"Fine, I guess."
"But we might die."
"I know." Toothy focused his attention on two Yo-Kai named Komasan and Komajiro. "Those two don't seem to happy about it."
Tango watched along with Toothy as Komasan was freaking out, with Komajiro trying to comfort him.
"None of us are happy about this," Tango pointed out to Toothy as he gestured to Sprinkles and Nano still panicking.
"Yeah..."
"So why aren't you scared? I know Kacy isn't scared because she doesn't know what danger is, and I know Glow's not scared because he thinks he is the danger, but why not you?"
"Everyone dies eventually."
"THIS IS DIFFERENT. WE'RE IN A DEATH GAME!"
"Still."
Tango turned away from Toothy. They were all so doomed...

Nine-Tailed Cat flinched a bit in surprise as the bird landed, and took a moment to regain his composure. Cassandra, for her part, just perked up her ears.
"Oh! Hello, Ally," he said. "Wow, that's an impressive synthesiser. I'm Nine-Tailed Cat, and this is my assistant Cassandra Beech. Nice to meet you."
"A robot, huh?" Cassandra said. "And a shapeshifting one too? Cool!" She turned to Nine-Tailed Cat. "You should get one too, boss!"
Nine-Tailed Cat stroked his beard thoughtfully. "Well... I never really considered it, but the Heroine-Bot didn't do too badly back in Season 265... But that's a matter for later."
He waited for Ally to finish messaging, then said, "So what brings you all the way out here? Do you have inspections to do too?"

The Arena, Season 271
Ambassador Delenn's time in the Arena was short and relatively peaceful. After making her escape from the Cornucopia, she had no real interactions with others, aside from President Hoover mentioning her when fighting the ash cakes. Unfortunately, she made the mistake of taking a late-night dip in waters inhabited by deadly cone snails and got stung. She was dead before Day 2, with nothing to show for it but a "No Swimming" sign placed on the beach to ensure this didn't happen again.
Captain John Sheridan, meanwhile, made his escape from the Cornucopia accompanied by dubstep music. He ran into the Parisi Gwen, who wanted some spaghetti, but since he didn't think she was that familiar with human cuisine, he expected she wouldn't notice if he served worms in pasta sauce instead. Later, he got an unexpected hug from Aunt Arctic and immediately felt the need for a bath - who knew where that penguin had been? Not long after, a strange light engulfed the Arena, but Sheridan wasn't affected and only realised what it did when he saw that everyone else was suddenly human now.
The next day, the girl Mezato gave Sheridan a marshmallow and said he could have another if he waited for 15 minutes before eating it, but he decided it wasn't worth the wait and ate it immediately. He then watched the former-lizard cooking up some fries for Jason Siska, burning them nice and crispy, and he and Jeed agreed they wanted to eat fries like that every day.
On the third day, Sheridan saw Soma poisoning Polly Geist with poorly-prepared fugu, and was surprised that he activated a special card just to see it happen again. The former chinchilla offered to help him cross the road later, but he declined, saying that he wasn't an old man quite yet.
Day 4 brought about the announcement of a sequel to Sheridan: Sheridan 2, commanding the new station Babylon 6. Sheridan watched the trailer with puzzlement until Lucina showed up in a merchant caravan, offering wares in exchange for his coin. He made a few purchases, knowing that being well-equipped could help in the later stages of the Games.
The day after that, the former Tuba Mech and its pilot, Mortok, and the Mole Man enlisted his help in a daring heist to steal Coach's chocolate spread. He agreed, offering a drone designed with Minbari help that they could fly in to take their prize. As they were making their getaway, an office worker turned Woman In Black spotted them, but Spons stepped in and eraseed her memories before she could report them. However, as he was driving off with his share of the chocolate spread, Sheridan's car hit the humanised Heinz Relish and dragged it into the sharp edges of cheese graters, clams, and educational radio. He mumbled a curse as he got out and made his way back to camp.
Unfortunately, he'd let out one expletive too many, and the very next morning, he found himself facing a VAC ban. He had just enough time to give one last swear before being forcibly and fatally ejected from the Games.
NTC's Lab
Alone in the lab, Cassandra Beech watched the season play out on Nine-Tailed Cat's monitor, taking particular delight in seeing "Undyne" repeatedly humiliated before dying to a misaimed Master Spark. "Guess Platinum really was on to something!" she said. "You LOVE to see it!"
Finally, once Sheridan was eliminated, she turned off the feed.
"Good try! That was the farthest one of ours has ever gotten! He just needed to watch his language more." The fennec chuckled. "Oh well, time for the next batch of nominees!"
She opened up her storage box, took out two samples dated to the very end of the Mesozoic era, and loaded them into the cloning machine. A couple of creatures began to take form inside, and she watched them grow eagerly.
"This is it!" she said. "Five seasons of waiting, and I'll finally get my favourites in! I can't wait 'til the boss gets back from hosting!"
