Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Dagded Dujardin
Lucina, Kirby and Dedede all accompanied Alphys to find out more about the Dark Crystals.
Lucina: Very well, let's find out what these dark crystals are and where they lead to.
Dedede: We better call our guys after this is all said and done.
Kirby: Yeah!
Lucina was patient outwardly but felt a bit eager to find out where the Dark Crystals were in, if any chance to avenge Meta Knight could come up now that'll be great for her.
Lucina: Ms. Alphys, once you're finished tracking that down I believe it would be appropriate to contact Bale next, that way we'll be able to fight these culprits on more even grounds.
The Gems went on searching for the location of this "Traitor", luckily for them it wasn't too hard to advance through the city nearby the location as the Gems were well-known over the world and local authorities gladly let them pass. Now they were walking along the edges of Rome's Northern borders, near the province of Romania, the place was mostly a forest system leading to a system of underground caves, already halfway through the journey gem shrimps started to appear
Amethyst: We're getting close to the place if these critters are already active.
Peridot: Yep, we just gotta walk towards the depths of the cave system and we'll get there, just be careful not to slip because the pits reach deep down and it'll take a while to get out.
Lapis: We can just fly over, extra carefully.
Pearl: Or just use proper guide measures for moving in caves.
Lepus: Digging under the ground could work.
Garnet: It could disturb the creatures of the place and we don't want to do that much.
Peridot: Not to mention a fair 75% chance of the whole place collapsing on top of us if we mess up while digging, destroying a valuable semi-natural location and icon of this continent.
Amethyst: There's no need for overtly complex stuff, let's just go in and follow the path to the place.
The gems looked the device's screen, indicating that the objective was deep within the system and they had to go to the darkest areas.
Pearl: We'll need a light to not lose our way down there.
Bismuth: And even if we do, we got some real star power to beat up any creeps that come across.
As they ventured down, Dark Bale's group caught up and watched them enter from afar noticing Lepus among them.
Brajira: So he did betray us after all, well then looks like we have some souls to extinguish.
He looked at his other squadron as they all still had their disguises.
Brajira: [[evil:Remember to keep the disguises until a full confrontation is inevitable, for now let's follow silently.
The group then advanced keeping up with the trail of the Gems.
Kirby
Plains
Kirby, Ribbon, Bandana Waddle Dee, and Adeleine searches the plains for the mysterious creature. Adeleine sees the nearby bush rustling. She opens it to reveal a raccoon, which ran away.
"Sorry, Mr. Raccoon!"
Ribbon checks a tree, when she heard some noises from it. She flies up to find Scrat, sleeping soundly.
"Sorry for disturbing you, little rodent. Go back to sleep..."
Kirby and Bandana Dee then find the impact crater from last night.
Uuh, Ribbon, Adeleine? You might want to check this out..."
Impact Crater
Kirby and co. watch the impact crater.
"I think something might've crashed here!"
"Is it still around?"
The bushes nearby rustle.
"Ack!" Ribbon hides behind Adeleine.
Kirby stands guard, when from the bushes out pops... A small creature resembling a chinchilla

"Elfi!?"
"Kirby!? Oh Kirby, i'm so glad to see you!"
"Kirby, you know him?"
"We met him during that time that portal sucked me and Kirby up! His name is Elfilin."
"Whoa! Nice to meet you, girls! What's your name?"
"I'm Adeleine!"
"I'm Ribbon."
"I think the others should get to know you!"
They leave the area alongside Elfilin.

Miranda giggles again. "Anyway, I'll go call them about the trip. I'll let you know who's going!"
"Okay!" says Power.
After her aunt leaves, she laughs nervously at Ichi and removes her helmet, revealing that she's wearing contacts.
"Don't remind me of Dark 6k1's Force Silencer, which is a nonfatal version of that! But don't worry, 6k1's gonna have her staff train themselves on how to avoid being manipulated by her!"
But Power folds her ears as she then tells Ichi about the Space Pirates battle.
"Sorry to say this... but the original AR Meta Knight died while fighting them but he's not gonna be revived right away. Bale and Lucina have to learn how to process this on their own, but I wish them luck in finding those traitors!"
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
"Ain't that a tad harsh and unfair? I mean, they already lost the guy, now they gotta be put through a whole grieving process when he could be brought back at any time? That doesn't seem right to me."
Not an evil Thievul
Season 216/Eye-Sicle's Lair
So THIS is the Hunger Games...how...barbaric. (Muzu scoffs. He figures that since he's here now, he has no choice but to go through with them. He and Mei head on into the Arena.)
(Needless to say, they are both very confused at the presence of so many different Links, with Muzu having a very puzzled expression as he acquires some potions from the Animal Crossing-style Wolf Link.) Now I know Link, Zelda, and Ganon are a constant throughout Hyrule's history but it is so very odd to see so many of them at once...
(Meanwhile, Mei witnesses the aftermath of Sabrewulf attacking the HGS Link.) Oh...I SO wish I could forget I saw that...
There are so many Links from so many different times here... (Sidon comments as everyone keeps up with the season back at the lair. He spots BOTW Link and Zelda among a small group of Links and Zeldas.) Including the Link and Zelda I know!
Betcha you're rooting for them, huh? (Wanda asks.)
Oh, of course! (Then he points out CDI Link.) Now I don't remember that Link.
Oh, yeah, uh...he's...from a completely different universe. (Jared says.) I don't think he has much connection to yours.
It is still fascinating to see a Link from another dimension nonetheless. I wonder what experiences he has had. (Sidon says.)
(Miss Ball is tempted to pull up some YouTube Poops on her communicator.)
Hot Springs
Indeed! Though if we go to another world, I hope there are...far less mes. (Henry says.)
We change form going to some worlds? (Shelby asks, surprised. She looks down at herself, putting her hands on her stomach.) I don't know, I like being a Goodra. I don't want to turn into something or someone else.
There WAS a setting for that, wasn't there, Hen? You just hadn't turned it on? (Tenn asks Henry.)
Ah, let me look... (Henry says, tapping away at the communicator's screen.) Oh, there IS! Silly me...suppose it would have been nice to have a few days ago.
(He flips the setting on and the device makes a small beep.) There! Now we will not turn into something different wherever we go!
The Looniverse
(Fortunately, it just takes one hard tug to get Sylvester loose, after which June's mane seems to "pop" back into its original shape.)
(It's then that it dawns on Sylvester that he's surrounded by canines. He turns completely white, breaks out of Aaron's grasp and runs up the hall with a loud:) YIIIIIII!!
Silly puddy tat, doesn't he know you were just tryin' to help 'im? (Tweety asks. He lifts off.) I'd better get back to Granny. Thank you!
What a cute lil guy. (August says as Tweety flutters off.) That weird Delcatty had no business chasin' him.
Yeah! (June agrees.)
Well, now that that's over with, where do we need to go? (July asks. She turns to Aaron.) You said we needed to find your friends back in Whispering Pines, right?
Dark Stanford's Lair
Well...I don't know what's beyond the badlands themselves except how the river goes to the ocean. They're all I've ever known, at least. Ma came from outside them, but she was a really little kid when she came here and she doesn't really remember what it's like outside the Badlands at this point. (Veena says.)
(Mentioning Greta makes Veena absolutely miserable and she drops into her coils.)
(Knox picks up where she left off.) It's full of varmints like us. Just look like desert critters out to hit the trail or stir up trouble somewhere and you'll fit right in.
Well, perhaps I can make it so the bracers are invisible when they aren't in active use. (Dark Stanford says.) Then neither they nor the nominators will know who works for me and who doesn't.
And believe me, I already do NOT intend to make the same mistake twice with this fellow. (Dark Stanford looks up disdainfully at Lyric, who has resumed hanging his head and makes no further response.) It doesn’t appear that he has even met his daughters, either, so that might help.

The Arena
As soon as the horn sounds, Data Ming calls everyone over to listen to Katniss's speech, as a strict mother would tell her child.
"8luh, who cares?" says Vriska. "You're just w8sting everyone's tiiiiiiiime!"
She runs away from Ming, grumbling because she's not in her God Tier form this time. She then finds the Zelink Army, Weird Al, and Frankie praying in a shrine and looks at them confused, for trolls believe in the Sufferer.
Meanwhile, Ming boards the Grace Note, which shows her an instructional video on how to hustle the panda more easily than her daughter.
"Not right now, please..." she says to herself, "I'm not ready..."
Power's Home
"Look Ichi... do you think reviving Meta Knight right now will instantly repair Bale and Lucina's friendship? She blamed him for this mess even if he wasn't at fault, and I'm not sure she'll forgive him so easily even if Meta Knight's revived at once. But if she does... then what if the villains go out of their way to kill Meta Knight again and make sure he can't be revived? So you have to put your trust in them, alright? Again, I'm sure they'll be able to get out of this the 'hard' way!"
Alphys's Lab
A few minutes later, Alphys's program alerts her that the analysis is complete.
"Lucina!" she says, "I think I found where the other crystals are!"
She points to the flashing dot on the map.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
"You're doin' that overthinking thing again. The bad guys wouldn't be able to kill him again in a way that prevents resurrection. 'Sides, did Bale and Lucina want to go through this the hard way? Like, did they ask for it? Cuz it sounds like the choice was made for them."
Dagded Dujardin
Lucina, Kirby and Dedede all were happy to see the results come in and paid attention to where the location was. However upon seeing the full map all they could see around the dot were strange energy signatures
Lucina: That doesn't look like any place I know.
Dedede: That looks like a washing machine interior in the middle of a wash.
Kirby: It's mesmerizing.
Eventuslly they figured this place would be dangerous given the outwards look.
Lucina: They're hiding in a remote dimension, that area surrounding the location is not natural.
Kirby: We could go there but we'll need a full party.
Lucina: Alphys, contact Bale, we have issues to take care of and we got a bigger clue now.
Léodagan, the Bloodthirsty
Scipion's lair
When Scipion woke up, he was less than pleased when he was greeted by Twinrova's death.
"And shit... At least that Link and his imp had a good reason to kill her. I seriously wonder how Yuga and Vaati are going to survive all of the stupid green elves." he sighed.
Hot Springs
"I hope so too, dear friend." James said to Henry, frowning as he remembered Henry Pines.
"I hope the Henry of this place is fine and has been forgiven by the others." Nick said.
"I hope he did change for the better like our Henry." Arthur added. James couldn't help but look proudly at the Flygon as even Arthur admitted he was good.
"I would not mind turning into something else, but I do admit I prefer to keep my dashing Inteleon's body." James then said, looking at his body. Luckily, Henry figured out he had a setting for transformation.
I wonder if he forgot more abilities about his communicator... Arthur wondered to himself.
"Anyway... I think we should go to a carnival in a random place. There were already a lot of stuff at Las Pegasus we don't have here like roller coasters, so imagine if we end up somewhere more exciting!" Nick then proposed.
"Wonderful! Well, if everyone is all set, I suppose we can go whenever you are ready, Henry!" James proudly exclaimed.
Looniverse
Aaron got really confused when Sylvester ran away from him. The Lucario looked at his body with a frown.
"Dess? Did you use an illusion on me?" he asked the Hisuian Zoroark.
"No, I don't think they did. Perhaps is that big cat afraid of canines?" Lucian suggested. Still puzzled, Aaron shrugged.
"Anyway, you're right, July. I guess they must be at the town's inn, or they stayed with your grandpa."
"And... And where we will go afterward?" Lucian shyly asked.
"Hmmm... I do remember 6k1 speaking of some vacations during June's last party. In the meantime, I think we should just hang out in Whispering Pines and relax there."
"Yeah... I wouldn't mind staying with Oscar and helping him with his costumes." Lucian said.
Dark Stanford's lair
"I hope so for your sake, fox. My chieftain is not known for being forgiving." Blood Moon said to Dark Stanford before preparing to leave him.
The sadistic Mawkin looked one last time at Dark Stanford with a mad grin.
"As of now though, you are in a good spot. Your skills in robotics are more than welcome. Perhaps you will prove critical to lord Raven Beak's plan once you are done removing all of your counterparts from existence. After all, if you can remove the atoms of a person at will... Certainly experimenting on living subjects instead of machines should not be above your abilities. A mind just as ruthless as yours can do wonderful things, I am certain of it."
The Mawkin all nodded at Veena and Knox.
"All right. I assume that most of the badlands' inhabitants hardly know what is beyond this region. This makes things easier for us." Fire Eyes said.
"Of course, we cannot go there with our Chozo weapons and armors. They are far too technologically advanced."
"You know this puts us at risk, right?" Lightning Claws hissed.
"Risk is a big word. I say this will make things more entertaining in case we have to fight. None of the locals were forced to train and fight relentlessly since they were children like us. And of course, we already have great physical strength as Chozo." Wild Sea said with an amused smirk.
"Of course you would say that." Lightning Claws said with a scoff while Fire Eyes and Solid Rock chuckled.
"But I suppose you are correct. We all were sent with the strict minimum to survive on ZDR's harshest regions for several days during our training. We should be able to handle them with wooden weapons and such."
"As for the clothes, I believe we should choose something simple. You already wear almost nothing. Loincloth and robes should be enough." Solid Rock suggested to the 'Brijes.
"Nothing, in my case. I am sure the region's heat is nothing compared to that of Cataris, but I like to let my skin breathe." Wild Sea said, showing her arm muscles.
"Right... Except there is one flaw in your plan... Me."
Blood Moon entered the room with a sour expression.
"Already back?" Wild Sea asked.
"I simply talked with Stokes about the new recruit, Lyric the Lucario. Would you believe me if I tell you this dog is none other than the father of the white bear's Zoroark?"
"Ah... An unfortunate coincidence. But I am no one to contest Stokes's methods." Solid Rock sadly sighed. As warriors shaped by war and under the command of the cruel Raven Beak, the Mawkin were able to commit heinous acts to reach their goals anyway.
"It is regrettable indeed... Unlike you though, we have no reports of the Lucario being around for his daughter whatsoever. I simply hope he will not anger Stokes for his sake." Fire Eyes said to the 'Brijes.
"Can we stop talking about that depressed fool? We have a mission to focus on, and Blood Moon is right. The locals are going to soil themselves in fear when they see what lies beneath his armor." Lightning Claws pointed out.
"Urgh... You make a good point. But I insist we catch the target this way instead of rampaging through cities. I am not against shedding blood if necessary, but Blood Moon could easily snap." Fire Eyes sighed, shaking his head and folding his arms while sternly looking at his commander.
"As if it even matters... We are feared warriors that feed on the blood of our enemies, not some stealthy rogues! We don't have time to waste with those knockoffs! We must find them all as quickly as possible!" Blood Moon proudly hissed.
"True. But this world is different from the others we have visited so far. The nominators have a foot in it. We have to be more cautious in that regard so that they stay unaware of our tribe's existence." Solid Rock pointed out, much to Fire Eyes's relief. That lone argument was enough to shut Blood Moon's beak.
"A hooded cloak should be enough to conceal Blood Moon's skin, I brought an old one with me. we simply have to make sure he keeps it at all times when surrounded by locals." Solid Rock reassured.

Norton: (Sees Platinum with a sad look on his face) (Whisper) He actually looks cute like that...
Platinum: (Kicks Norton in the shin) I heard that. And Lucky... what the heck is wrong with you?

Dagded Dujardin
The gems finally reached the destination where the defector was said to be, in front of them stood a crater lighted up by the remains of a spaceship scattered around, a spaceship whose lights still worked. They all began to approach cautiously, aware that a trap or two might be hidden to deter intruders or from stray rubble of the ship.
Amethyst: Looks like this guy traveled in style, red paint jobs are cool.
Pearl: H-How did we miss something like this crashing on Earth?
Lepus: I've heard Temperor Planet spacecrafts have cloaking mechanisms to enter planets undetected, looks like he crashlanded but his systems didn't fail.
As he talked he picked up rubble and started storing it inside a bag.
Peridot: Hey focus on the mission!
Lepus: Sorry, can't help it, old habits die hard.
As they advanced further they entered the spaceship's main room and saw no one inside, they looked for the crystal with the device tracking it down more specifically and eventually found a cryogenical pod, with an odd-looking alien inside
. Amethyst half-jokingly talked about the sight
Amethyst: I think we found our guy. He looks pretty peaceful while asleep, we could leave him be for now.
Garnet: We should unfreeze him carefully.
With help from Lepus, Peridot and Bismuth found a way to reverse the freezing and freed the alien from their sleep, all the Gems looked in anticipation ready to either talk or fight depending on the alien's intentions; but most of all they expected to get answers to the events going on either way.
???: LLGGATTCCASS???
Amethyst: What'd he say?
Lepus: He's asking where is he. Let me try and talk... ooPPWWEEdd
The aliens kept doing strange noises with none of the gems understanding.
Bismuth: My head hurts trying to understand what in the world these guys are saying.
Peridot: I should document their noises and decipher them.
As they finished talking, Lepus turned around telling them what he heard.
Lepus: He says that he'll tell us all what he saw in the place, he doesn't intends to fight so you guys can lower your weapons and other stuff.
Bismuth: Alright, but I am not sure if we can reasonably keep up with this conversation if your guy can't talk English or another Earth idiom.
Then Lepus looked at the Temperor who after clearing their throat and coughing up a bit finally spoke in English and introduced himself.
???: Pardon my strange speech patterns, I was still thinking we were in my homeworld. My name is Scorpius, I was a male member of the Temperor Guard in my world and-
Amethyst: No offense pal but we'd like to know where you came from, as in whatever place you abandoned.
Peridot: Can't you predict it with your future vision, Garnet?
Garnet: I could try to see his future yes. But just because I can see several futures doesn't means that I am guaranteed to see the correct one, there's a lot about him that I don't know and that hampers what outcomes I could see coming
Pearl: Let's just ask him nicely, which cause did you abandon?
Scorpius: Well then, given you ladies all are nice I'll speak with no issue. I was part of a strike squadron for this Dark Lord guy, I think his name was... Erm, Sale? Something like that, but I stumbled upon his true plans and they were going to spell doom for every world in existence. He was trying to summon the primordial entity as Otaru.
Lepus: THE OTARU? Known for destroying any reality it appears in?
Scorpius: Yes indeed, but I fled with a piece they needed for their plans. A dark crystal. These objects, they somehow are meant to speed up that purpose but I couldn't figure out how, only that removing it would trouble them.
Pearl: And why did your craft crashland here?
Scorpius: I was attacked on my way out, they assumed I was shot down successfully but didn't realize I had stolen that crystal. I set coordinates for a world at random and wound up here after putting myself in stasis, I believe some time and space dilution might've factored in this.
Bismuth: So we're dealing with some really crazy lunatics, guess we now know a lot more but we gotta get to Beach City first before these guys have a chance to find you.
Scorpius: That will be ideal, I just need to get the dark crystal and we'll be safe.
However as Alphys scanned the dark crystals in her lab, the one he had activated a signal as it glowed.
Scorpius: Oh no. They must've found me.
Amethyst: Who could?
Before anything else could be answered Dark Bale's squadron appeared launching an explosive attack at the group.
Brajira: We had figured you guys were here but I guess that Dark Crystal just ensures more will come here.
Amethyst: Let me guess, you're one of the bad guys.
Brajira: That is false, child, I am justice itself, your kind has no right to talk down to me like that!
Just then he summoned all the different kind of foot soldiers he and his group had.
Brajira: Take care of them at once!
The soldiers all rushed their targets, with the Gems getting ready to fight as the villain generals used this chance to get to the aliens they came from.
Brajira: Our leniency with you traitors ends here, surrender now or face the consequences.
Groundine: Weren't we supposed to be discreet and attack when they were gone?
Brajira: This incident won't leave this cave and I expecting that they were finding the guy before us. Just make sure to take care of any leftover that could talk too much and no one will even know we came here.
Groundine: Well then, I got some questions for this guy.
Brajira: You'll make them when you were ready.
Shadow Moon: Let's do this at once!
The trio then charge at Scorpius and Lepus, the latter who pulled out a special forcefield generator he stored in a previous looting to protect himself just in case.
Sambash was running in his bike in the middle of a desert field, with no one else around it was midnight and luckily there wasn't enough heat to dehydrate him, with the sole surviving piece of Bogarl's flesh he had found in his clutches he sought a way to get himself off the rock as without his team he was stranded.
Sambash: I hope I can find a proper place to rest or to portal away without being seen.
Just then he saw a familiar magic portal appear.
Sambash: Huh? Guess they got me after all.
He entered it only to find himself in the Land of AR Ylisse. He was bothered by the new place.
Sambash: Uh, this place is even worse than before!

(Mei ends up in an almost Super Smash Bros-esque fight with the nominated Octoling atop a wall. Unprepared to fight, Mei opts to relieve Frankie of the armor Frankie is wearing before finally knocking her off the wall.)

(They land in a rather peaceful-looking beachside town. The water tower in the distance identifies this place as none other than Beach City, and the sounds of a carnival don't sound too far from where they're standing.)
Like, they've got some pretty sturdy-looking houses here, man. (Wes says.)
Can't say that I was expecting for us to end up here, but it does sound like there's a carnival of some kind not to far from here. If my ears don't deceive me, anyway. (Henry says. He briefly takes off into the air a few feet off the ground.) Yes, indeed! We simply need to go down to the water and up the street to an enormous pier! (He calls down to the others.)

(Dess (who, up to this point, had a cheeky expression on their face) suddenly looks a little nervous.)

(After Blood Moon leaves, Dark Stanford looks at Lyric.) Perhaps I should get rid of this potential conflict of interest before it becomes a problem...hmm, I've got it!
(Dark Stanford pulls up Lyric's display on his communicator and hits the minus button.)
Do stand by for a moment, Lyric, sir. (Dark Stanford says as he takes the screaming Lucario down to 0%.)
(He then goes to the Atomizer and hits a combination on its keyboard. A vial of a blue and yellow liquid comes out of it. Dark Stanford takes it and violently shakes it for a few seconds before putting it back into the machine. He then brings Lyric back to 100%.)
(Lyric reappears lies on the floor staring up at the ceiling, not saying anything. His blue and yellow fur is now in a swirled, messy pattern very atypical for a Lucario and he looks like he is in immense pain.)
Now sir, what do you remember? (Dark Stanford asks Lyric.)
(Lyric does nothing but slightly shake his head and emit a pained groan, his mind a blur.)
(" Wonderful, it worked! He doesn't seem to remember a thing... " Dark Stanford thinks to himself. He sits down by Lyric.) You lost your wife...
(A tear runs down Lyric's face. He still remembers this much.) April...

(Lyric gets up to his feet, looking down at Dark Stanford with a still sad but now determined expression.)
Then search for them while on your journey to find my knock-offs and bring them straight here! (Dark Stanford says.) Don't be afraid to cut down anyone who gets in your way.
Yeah. (Lyric nods. He transports himself out.)
(Satisfied, Dark Stanford gets to work on updating his bracers so that they can turn invisible.)

Ming
That night, Data Ming orders some construction workers to recreate the temple as her camp, saying that there should be glass shards on top of the walls for extra defense. She then encounters Reigen the next day and gets concerned about his mask.
"You're going to sweat a lot under that!" she says, but Reigen insists that he'll be fine with it.
Ming sighs, for she'd hate to physically punish him, but she kicks him several times for it.
"I'm not mad at you, this is just Tough Love!" she says, while her panda spirit growls from inside her Tamagotchi.
She doesn't notice Teru watching from the Grace Note and flying away from the scene.
Ming returns to her camp that night and tries relaxing by looking at memes.
"So this is what Meimei and her friends are into these days?" she wonders, but she cringes at certain memes of her own universe.
"Disgusting! They compared my fight with her to an anime about fighting naked giants?!" She shakes her head. "I understand that my daughter's growing up, but I still have to look out for her online..."
She tries forgetting she looked them up the next day and runs into a strange camera-like alien, who takes a picture of her all frazzled.
"Excuse me, but who are you?" asks Ming.
Pix gives her the photo, which is signed with his name at the back, then nods to her good luck before going his way. Ming looks at the photo again and wonders why he visited her, then goes back to her camp to somehow divide by zero.
As she browses the internet the next day, she comes across a link to a certain forum game. She promptly dips a toothbrush in the toilet and tries scrubbing the link off her computer.
"I hope Meimei's not playing this with her friends!"
Vriska
Vriska looks for shelter from the rain and casually avoids the Zelinks' trap for her. She looks behind and sees them getting caught, then flips the bird at them before getting away. The next day, she laughs as she dunks the Fated Four's heads in toilets, but she comes across the Zelinks again later that night.
"8luh, how did you escape from your own traps?" she asks, but she notices them carrying various weapons on them. Desperate for more besides her DICEKIND ABSTRATUS, she advances towards them. They try telling her to stop, but she lunges at them and slays them all before getting away with her loot.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!"
Vriska stays in the shade as she tests her new weapons the next day, but she suddenly gets a whiff of a strange gas. Thorny vines then break out of her skin, and she screams as she slowly bleeds out cobalt blood.
Power's Home
"But even if the Space Pirates might do that, I know Bale will find a way to bring Meta Knight back, just like how 6k1 and Dave saved Ally after she was killed by Timewrecker!"
Power sighs.
"Anyway Ichi, I overheard 6k1 talking to Bale about this. He did request the Medical Department to revive Meta Knight, but 6k1 said that their decision to refuse it was final. But wait a minute... she's also the president of the Science Center! Maybe she can try convincing them to change their mind?"
Alphys's Lab
"Okay."
Alphys calls Bale and tells him the coordinates.
The Database Library, Basement
6k1 watches the season while having breakfast, but suddenly gets a call from Timothy that Lucky stole a book from the Library and got away with it.
"Be on a better lookout this time, and make sure any future thieves pay the fine!"
And true enough, Miku gets caught the next Arena day, and 6k1 follows Timothy up: "And Lucky must return that book after the season and pay the fine as well if he can't do it right now!"
Just then, Mimi jumps on her owner's lap.
"Mom?"
"What is it, my not-so-lil' furball?" 6k1 scratches the Starble's back.
"I saw Arnold adopt a pet at Night 1... and they're the same species as me!"
"What?! There's another Starble?"
"Yes... but where did it come from? My home planet?"
"Maybe, but I hope the Gamemakers aren't stealing the eggs from their parents..."

"That's a nice place..." Nick said as he looked around him after the three rescue teams arrived.
"I don't know if the locals are used to seeing people from other worlds. That would be annoying if they're not." Arthur said.
The FBW also listened to some distant noises.
"Excellent! Then let us proceed, everyone!" James happily exclaimed as Henry spotted the rescuers' destination. Nick and Arthur nodded, letting the two hammy Pokémons lead the way.
"Man, I almost feel like jumping in place. I seriously wonder what kind of things they have here. I can't wait to try all of those rides Aaron and co. told us about if there are some here!" Nick said to the Decidueye with a grin.
"I just hope it won't be a waste of time. But I suppose if the kids had fun back then, we should have too." Arthur answered with a shrug.
Looniverse->Whispering Pines
"June's right. You can stay with us if you feel like you're going to snap for some reason." Aaron reassured Dess with the best look he could give them.
The Lucario took a deep breath, gathering his aura before summoning a portal back to Whispering Pines, leading right to June's family home. Aaron stepped inside first... and appeared right in front of Tokage in front of the house.
"AAH!!"
"WAAUGH!!" both Pokémons yelped, startled by each other.
"...Oh thank Arceus it's you. You scared me there." Tokage sighed, a bit embarrassed.
"Yeah... Sorry about that." Aaron giggled, rubbing his head before hugging his friend.
"Where are Alex and your dad?" the Lucario asked.
"They're still in the guest room. I was just going outside to get some fresh air." Tokage answered before looking over at Lucian.
"You're alright there?"
"Yeah. I think we all recovered from yesterday." Lucian said. Tokage nodded, satisfied.
"Tokage? We're going to stay around for now." Aaron said to his partner.
"Of course. Come in, I'm sure the others would be happy to see you." the Grovyle answered.
Dark Stanford's lair
"Fine..." Blood Moon eventually conceded. The Mawkin commander's gaze darkened.
"But if any of the natives see me for what I am... I will terminate them myself."
"Then it is decided. Let us prepare." Lightning Claws said as the Mawkin squad exited the pool of water. Solid Rock nodded at Blood Moon and the two warriors left the room, likely to spare the 'Brijes from seeing what the X-infected Chozo looked like. The others also left to pick up their stuff.
Soon enough, the Chozo all joined back the 'Brijes. Wild Sea stubbornly decided to go without wearing anything, while Solid Rock was wearing an old blue robe. Both Lightning Claws and Fire Eyes were wearing a loincloth. Lastly, Blood Moon was wearing an old black cloak, large and dark enough so that only his red eyes and "normal" beak could be clearly seen.
"If there is nothing else, we must depart immediately." Blood Moon hissed at the 'Brijes.
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."
"It's worth a shot. Just gotta hope it works."
He checks the season.
"Thought they were both gonna end up like Trevor for a second."
Dagded Dujardin
Bale got the coordinates from Alphys and stared a bit dumbfounded at the screen.
Bale: Wellll, this is going to be something else.
He looked at the tributes he could summon, all who were a bit interested in just what they were going to deal with.
Boxman: So in short... We'll be going in to fight an army or at least find out what they're doing.
Venomous: Sounds about right.
Bale then thought about the Gems as Amethyst and Peridot still hadn't arrived.
Bale: Where could they be?

Power flinches as Reigen absorbs their souls, but Yasha rescues them and teams up with them (and Imp!Midlink) to kill him in revenge.
"Phew, that was a close one! But anyway, I'll go call 6k1."
She does so and tells her about Ichi's concern.
"Oh... it was a holdover from when I used to nominate tributes that are supposed to be dead before I switched to data cloning. There's still the risk of villains targeting them if they're kept alive after their Arena time, but there's no law mandating that they must stay dead after their seasons either."
"Oh... no wonder the other villains such as Zira are still prowling around... no pun intended."
6k1 snickers. "But yeah, I'll try talking with Dr. Phoenix about this and will let you know later, but it might be tricky as he takes his job very seriously and he mainly sticks with what he believes is best for the tribute's health."
"Alright."
Power then gets back with Ichi and says, "On a lighter note, the next themed season is Royalty Season! I'm sure 6k1 knows who to nominate for that!"
Alphys's Lab
Alphys ends the call and tells Lucina that Bale's getting reinforcements.
"Are you ready for this?"

Once the teams arrive at the carnival, a big burly man runs to them and greets them with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey everyone!" he says, "I'm Mr. Smiley, and welcome to BEACH CITY FUNLAND!!!"
Several visitors, humans and Gems alike, turn to him and wave before going their way.
"I don't think you guys are from around here, but you're still welcome to HAAAAAVE FUN!" He grabs Henry's hand(?) and prepares to drag him. "C'mon, lemme show you what rides we've got!"
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
"I'm take it she'll be nominating a couple royal pones?"

The team just barely entered Funland when Mr. Smiley showed up and greeted them.
"Erm... Greetings, Mister Smiley! It is an honor to be here, truly!" James said, taken aback by the cheerful man before hastily following him and Henry.
"And I thought you two idiots smiling could grow weary on me." Arthur whispered to Nick.
"Oh come on, don't be so sour. Come on let's follow them. That human is surprisingly fast." Nick answered the Decidueye.
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."
Platinum: So, Lucky is dead. Really need to have a fox-to-fox conversation with him after the season. Don't know if it's just the Arena, but didn't his mom and dad not teach him not to take something that's not his?
Dagded Dujardin
As the Gems finished off the footsoldiers attacking them, they rushed to help Lupen and Scorpius who were overwhelmed and about to be captured the two were pinned by a group of foot soldiers with Brajira interviewing them.
Brajira: You have fought well for such cowards but your luck ends here.
He was then hit with a sudden spinning attack from Amethyst which surprised him.
Amethyst: Hey bird dude, how about you knock that off?
Brajira: Heh, let me show you what happens to the insolents who dare to defy me.
The other gems soon joined in to take on his partners, but soon Shadow Moon and Brajira alone had most of the focus as Groundine broke off to interrogate Scorpius. He easily knocked Lepus aside when he tried to interfere and grabbed his target by the throat.
Scorpius: Wh-What do you want with me?
Groundine: My sister Skydain, she went missing at the same time as you. Where is she?
Scorpius: So you wish to know the truth then?
Groundine: What truth, treacherous deceiver?
Scorpius: That you are being deceived by those calling me the deceiver.
He explained the entire incident with the demonic entity they planned to summon, Groundain panicking ran off and even teleported away to Brajira's and Shadow Moon's anger.
Brajira: Hmph, seems like this operation is not going well but whatever have it your way.
He and Shadow Moon then charged an attack at the Gems, knocking them all out before they turned their attention to the two aliens they came to exterminate.
Shadow Moon: You talk too much, die!
The evil moon warrior then shot a lightning blade at both of the aliens' chests before blowing them up into pieces. Brajira then rushed towards the dark crystal that Scorpius had left and ran off with it before the Gems could take it. The Gems were horrified at what happened and had no time to react or do anything as their opposition taunted them before leaving.
Brajira: Thanks a lot for your cooperation. And don't worry about your City's inhabitants.
Shadow Moon: Not a single believable testament will come out of this. Farewell, space warriors.
Both then warped away with their goals done. Realizing the danger they could pose, the Gems warped back to the base shaken up by what they'd seen and worried for the safety of everyone on Earth, Homeworld and the Universe in general.
Amethyst: Those guys, they killed our friend...
Peridot: Guess we have no choice anymore but to partake in this conflict.
Pearl: I would like to accompany you both but.
Bismuth: If these monsters come back with more of their kind we won't stand much of a chance if we all leave, so I suggest that Peridot and Amethyst who are more familiar with Bale go there.
Garnet: That is the best idea, you two help Bale with his work. The rest of us shall stay here and protect Earth and humanity from any future attacks.
Amethyst: Alright, time for another interdimensional journey it is!
Peridot: You guys take care. I don't know if we ourselves will return but you all better stay alive.
The two then set the warp coordinates for Bale's base which was possible thanks to the tech they got from him and set off to see him as the other Gems prepared to give a maximum warning to Earth, Homeworld and beyond; while it was unlikely that they could fully explain what happened it was a sure thing that everything was going to change now.
Lucina, Kirby and Dedede nodded as they were ready to go.
Lucina: I'm all in for this. Let's give those villains their due payback.
Dedede: I'll kick their evil butts all one hammer swing at a time.
Kirby: Alright then, we're ready for it Alphys! And I am ready to see old friends or meet new ones.

Nothing really aside from everyone settling back down after what happened yesterday. Things have gone back to normal for the most part. Or at least as normal as things can be around here now. Benji told me this morning that he's considering taking a vacation to help Dinah settle back down after what happened, Cam's new wares from another world are all the rage around here, and Axel has been asking around for advice on how to control...erm... (He puts his hand around his neck with an uncomfortable expression.)
Oh, Axel's still losin' his noggin? Thought he'd gotten rid of that lil ability already... (June comments.) Oh, yall heard anythin' 'bout Phoebe yet?

(The group heads toward the pier.)
(Being less used to humans as the others are by this point, Wes, Millie, and Shelby are noticeably taken aback by seeing so many as they approach the Beach City pier.)
(They've scarcely set foot on the pier when a strange cheerful man runs up to them, greets them (in such a loud voice that Shelby is startled and retreats into her shell), and starts pulling Henry into the park.)
Erm, thank you, my good man! But I do feel I can see the rides myself! Erm, fellows?? (Henry says.)
Oh dear, I guess we'd better follow them... (Shelley says.)
(Millie gets Shelby to come back out of her shell and they start to follow. As they do, Millie looks around.) Gee, these guys sure don't seem that bothered by us. (Millie says.)

(Everyone is transported to Durango, landing not too far from New Durango (though not close enough for anybody to see them). The town appears to be getting along just fine ever since it was caught in the crossfire of the chase after Asriel's ring. Thinking about that incident makes Veena feel uneasy.)

Data Ming realizes that she has no means of defending herself without releasing the panda, so she orders a cane, an axe, a dagger, and two shields online. She also deletes Vaati's DMs that were leaked by Zuko and Mai, then drives off the next day but accidentally tips over a light blue three-wheeled car.
"At least I can pay for the damages, right?" she says, glad that her seatbelt saved her.
Later that night, Ming shakes Ruby's hand, but notices that something's not right with the alien.
"What happened to you?" asks Ming, but Ruby winces. Ming quickly lets go and realizes that she grasped her hand so hard she accidentally crushed it.
"Oh, my apologies, Ms..." says Ming. Is my panda strength leaking? she then thinks to herself as she says goodbye.
She then arranges a dental appointment with imp!Midlink the next day, but she can't help but feel concerned about them, too.

"Or maybe the royal goats!" Power giggles. "But you'll never know if she'll Take a Third Option and nominate someone else entirely!"
She then flinches one more time when Ho Lee Fak stabs Maiko with a nine-inch nail.
"Guess I'll keep this Vader costume a little longer... feels weird to root for Anakin after he killed Twilight way back then, but I've gotten over that already!"
6k1 then gets back to her about Dr. Phoenix.
"I had to debate with him about it, but he finally conceded and is now going to Lucina or Bale, whoever is available, with some of his assistants. They'll try to revive Meta Knight if they consent to it, but they can't make any promises that it'll work."
"Ah, I see... good luck to them!"
Power then relays that to Ichi.
The Database Library, Basement
6k1 sighs after ending the call. "He does remind me of myself sometimes..."
She looks at Mimi again, thinking of how the expedition to Saerbi will go, now that Starbles can be found in the Arena, then continues watching the season. They both cringe at Vaati having a nightmare about being timewrecked.
"Again?!" asks Mimi.
"Well at least it's not the real deal..." says 6k1, "But whether or not this is the same Vaati I fought at Neon Quarters since that was his humanoid form at the time, I'd hate to debate to myself if he deserves it. He may be a bad guy, but if even he fears it, then it's saying something."
Alphys's Lab
"Alright, good luck!"
Alphys then leads the group outside the lab and summons the portal for them.

Mr. Smiley shows the teams the various attractions: roller coasters such as the Appalachian and Thunder Bird; fast spinning rides such as the Hyper Space, the Tea Cups, the Flying Swings, and the Tilt-a-Whirl; slow ones such as the carousel, merry-go-round, and Ferris wheel; various carnival booths such as the ring toss game; and of course, the House of Mirrors and Funland Arcade. Besides the food stalls scattered across the carnival, the arcade also has a café and grill next to it.
"And here are your maps!" says Mr. Smiley as he hands one each per team. "And if ya got any questions, just ask any of the Gems working here!"
Several Uncorrupted Gems, most of them Quartzes, wave to the teams from their respective attractions.

Alphys finishes her food and goes downstairs. She retrieves the crystal from her phone and connects it to her computer, then runs a program to find the location of the other crystals.
