Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Zorua's Base
NOV-4 teleports back inside after observing the small army heading towards the base, at a distance.
This situation is rather...urgent. There looks to be a large group of nominators and tributes closing in on us, with unkown intent.
Yeah, yeah, I get it. Zorua's standing at the base's main control room, holographic screens pulled up in front of them and displaying a live feed of the approaching infiltration.
Additionally, I have no information concerning how they located us.
The nominator ignores NOV-4, and turns to adress the gathering crowd directly, though they wouldn't actually hear them talking.
So, you're trying to stop me now, huh? Too bad for you, my tributes've already been sent in the ring...but let's have some fun while you're all here, shall we? Good luck trying. they say, in an overly grand display of delight.
Just remember—don't be heroes.

As the group makes their way to storm Zorua's base, Ally's eyes flash when she receives a signal from her clone back in the library.
Attention, everyone. Season 74 has been initiated. We must keep watch of Unfortunate Zorua's tributes.
6k1 brings out her phone and lets everyone gather around to see. Tier 0 runs away from the Outerverse in the Bloodbath, wanting to get away from the chaos and also Dory literally backstabbing an armored Mantis. Tier 0 then tries but fails to storm a secret area with the Hammer Bro. and the Koopa, while the Outerverse mocks B-movies with Dory, Ribey, and Gaster.
"Okay... so far so good..." says 6k1. "But we don't have much time, so we better get going!"

Still at GC's base
He sighs again, looking back at the TV in the base. "Hopefully I won't have to worry about any Aemon incidents where he wants to bring about the end of the world. That got me spooked last time," he says as he looks to see if there's anyone around left in the base, before sitting down.
Arena
While Sorano immediately runs away from the area, Austin Powers sees a harpoon gun and picks it up. "YEAH, BABY," he yells, as he runs his hand along the length of the gun. "Oh, Austin darling, behave," he says with a cheesy smile on his face as he grabs it and runs away.
GC's base
"I think the best course of action right now is to only kill others when you feel threatened, not to start making enemies first thing. Please understand that. I don't want to lose you two," he states, as he keeps his eyes fixated.
Arena
And as luck would have it, that is not what they did at all. Using her telekinesis, Sorano points her hand up towards the Moon and does something she never showcased before in her own stories. She managed to vibrate the Moon's particles while it was reading a book deep in space, causing it to go so fast that the sheer friction makes the Moon itself explode, causing everyone who views it to say "Oh shit," which also extends to...
GC's base
Constantine immediately jolts up and holds his head. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS WILL DO TO THE TIDES. OH MY GOD," he says, pacing back and forth in the base, as he runs outside to catch his breath. As he's hyperventilating, he looks up at the sky, seeing the debris of what's left of the Moon.

The road to Zorua's base
Giegue and Mewtwo nodded and floated faster to reach the base as quickly as possible. Giegue stopped when hearing a familiar roar.
"Ridley? What are you doing here? Do you know where Scipion is?" The dragon pointed at the base in response.
"Oh no.... Our time is running out!"
Zorua's base
"Unfortunately for you, I am no hero." growled a dry voice coming from the ceiling. An explosion broke some part of it as Scipion landed on the floor, his eyes filled with rage with his right hand holding his trident and the left one creating a small dark ball of energy. He wasn't in the base's control room, but he could smell Zorua's scent. Scipion launched the ball at a nearby wall, creating a huge hole. He walked inside it and repeated it again and again, getting closer to Zorua's location.
"Time to die, bitch."
"You're married like me, you know monstrosity can take many forms."
Kirby
The Field
Magolor and Kirby went back into the Pod and follow them.
The Spacepod
Magolor uses the ship's computer to locate 6k1. They find them walking around in the fields.
"There they are!"
Kirby then points out outside. The sun is setting, and the air is getting colder. Suddenly, Mr. Star calls.
"Magolor! What's going on!?"
Magolor explains everything.
"Dont worry! This Pod is equipped with a small vehicle for fast travel!"
6k1's Location
The Spacepod lands near 6k1 and the other tributes. Magolor, Kirby, and Bebe burst out, riding a car-like vehicle with four wheels and a cute face.
"Hurry! Ride this car if you want to go there fast!"

The group enters the strange vehicle alongside 6k1's group.
Mission Control
"I'll hack into Zorua's security and disable some things. You shall be free to go."
She sends the voice message and is hard at work at her computer, her fingers a flying fast across the keyboard than a mile a minute.
"Alright,thank you!"

While waiting for Meta Knight to join them, 6k1 watches the overhead TV. In the moonless night, the Outerverse tries but fails to convince Makoto to eat green eggs and ham while Tier 0 receives birthday cakes from its family and friends... somehow, despite majority of its members not celebrating their birthdays today. The next day...
"What absolutely unforgivable thing did Pukei Pukei do to EVERYTHING V2.0?!"
The broadcast is then interrupted by an ad for Oddity Woods, which is sponsored by the Outerverse.
Magolor, start the ignition.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

The Cyberdemons lament the fact that they're too big to fit into the car, forcing them to travel on foot.

Meta Knight ran to the car and entered it, reluctantly. He would usually fly there, but he wanted to ensure 6K1's safety.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."
Zorua's Base
NOV-4 creates a telepathic link with Zorua to communicate without alerting Scipion.
It's urgent. There is a nominator rapidly approaching your location, armed with what appears to be a trident. His destructive capabilities may be too high—
I know, I can hear him, dammit. Where's he exactly?
On your six, and getting closer.
Zorua stands up just as a wall nearby is smashed in.
Fate's Hand.
The air itself seems to shake and time instantly begins unwinding, reversing the damage to the destroyed security systems.

??? looked at the situation with Zorua, they were trying to become the next Timewrecker... So quickly.
???: Sigh, they just never learn do they, Mr. Mind?
Mr. Mind: It is unreasonable to expect those evil oriented nominators to be rational, they make an enemy out of everything without any real range on their plans. Even if she were to succeed at the Great Destruction II, she'll have a lot of fall-out to deal with once the Outerverse Gods get involved. Destruction of everything without a purpose is the most unintelligent villainy ever.
???: Sure is. On the other hand, looking about "Bale", I've found out he isn't quite what he has claimed... "Mysterious Aliens and Augmented Science?", it's all nothing but lies. He is in fact, not even from the Main Universe, but he's keeping that fact hidden...
Mr. Mind: Interesting deduction, my apprentice. I can assume you also investigated a bit about him?
???: Oh I have. He is from an alternate universe to the main one. He was the one who devastated the TV Tropes Roadtrip Universe... After he felt bored with that world. And he's moved on here, presumably to destroy this one as well.
Mr. Mind: I suppose this knowledge will be crucial for your ultimate plan?
???: It will be, once that Legion is out of the way, we'll begin the plan, hahahaha! When those nominators learn the truth about him, mistrust will grow and his insecurities will finally come out for me to manipulate.
He then finished laughing and sat back to wait out for everything to pass. Unknown to him, Black Cross King and the Great Leader talked among themselves.
Great Leader: So, he is not aware of what the actual truth of Bale is... Only a part of it. Our plan is working perfectly, Black Cross King.
Black Cross King: That's right, believe you're in control for now, but soon you'll see, we'll execute our own master plan.
The Legion's Ultimate Plan
After a while, the Legion's High Commands obtained the components for their own version of the Infinity Gauntlet, they had been doing some small-scale missions in the meanwhile.
Bill: Alright guys, we've got all we wanted, now it's time to bring out their full potential!
Nightmare: Remember, I will wield the ultimate weapon once it's finished. I am currently the most resilient of us all.
Grogar: Correct, as we speak, my Legion must be completing their mission, hopefully King Sombra doesn't finds out he's not actually the real deal... That'll make it a problem to deal with his reactions, at least non-violently.
HIM: Oh and I tried to check on the little band of heroes, but I can't seem to find them, someone is protecting them from us!
Black Hat: What?! You useless freak! How the hell do you lose sight of them and are unable to overcome their defense?
Aku: I've tried too and I too failed.
Lucemon: They must be protected by a Digimon that escaped my assault, a Royal Knight. If said Royal Knight gets strong enough, we'll all be doomed!
Bill: I'm not too worried myself... I've been checking some things with the Gem Hourglass, and I have found the perfect way to make all of our followers join willingly on the Multiversal Convergence Plan. Let's just say that alternate timelines can always change one's mind.
Grogar: Did you finish the monster I requested you to create?
Bill: Why? Yes I did Big G. That lava demon will be sure to be a multi-tasked challenge for your Legion!
Nightmare: Excellent news, my Legion, I believe our finest hour is upon us. Soon all will bow to us.
The High Commands all laughed together, as everything was coming full circle at last.

The demon trio see the wall suddenly crumbling and being fixed by some unknown force. 6k1 and her allies weren't even at the base yet. What, or who, could've caused it to do that?
Underground Residence
Eredars reads up on the news. He finds an article saying "Mysterious Nominator Plans To Cause The 2nd Great Destruction!".
"Oh, for fuck-Let me call Galis."
Galis' House
Galis' linkshell rings. She pulls it out and realizes that Eredars is calling her.
"What is it now?"
"So a nominator plans to destroy the world again... I want you to get there and help whoever is also storming the base."
"And how in the seven hells am I supposed to get there?"
"You have a pet Behemoth named Bruiser Bro. Use him. And don't even think about attuning to aether currents since there are none here in Panem."
"Shit, he's right."
"And before you go, here are the closest coordinates of their base. It's not on-the-mark, but it should be close enough."
She summons Bruiser Bro, puts a chair on top of him, sits on the chair, and makes her way to Zorua's base.

As Magolor drives to the base, 6k1 sees Galis and her pet on the way as well and waves to her. The car eventually catches up with the Cyberdemons and 6k1 sees the security systems mysteriously repairing themselves.
"Oh boy, getting in's gonna be harder than we thought..."
My analysis shows that Zorua might not be easy to make negotiations with.
"We must find a way to sneak in..."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

Billy's Mansion
Billy finally executed his plan. He used a special power to just teleport several of the units, 10 of them, to Zorua's base quietly without a noticeable portal, the units appearing in a blink but unable to be detected as everyone there weren't Stand Users. After this, Billy saw his Stand could still work effectively due to it's long operational range.
Quickly, he maneuvered the units into where Zorua, NOV-4, and other occupants were. They immediately released gas that made everyone fall unconscious, as well as modifying their memories for the mission. Basically, they wouldn't remember that the real deals had been replaced by fakes.
During this time, Julius used a device, shaped like a small gust of wind but technological and magical in nature, that Billy gave to him. It would manipulate dimension in such a way that the real ones would be sent back to their origins, while harmless copies would be made in place of them.
He then activated it, triggering a technicolor effect everywhere while rendering everyone around except Julius unconscious for a bit, so they wouldn't remember it. Julius would then see the real ones quickly sent back into their worlds in a blink of light, while the fake ones were generated quickly. It soon ended.
The Arena
Now in the Game, The Stardust Crusaders first finds a drink. However, before Polnareff and Joseph can eagerly drink it, Jotaro feels suspicious about it and informs everyone of it before convincing them to not drink it. Meanwhile, Reimu and Sanae suddenly burst into insane laughter, freaking another tribute.
Then in the first day, Reimu and Sanae overhear a Raptor Mech trying to spoil Touhou to Riley. Immediately, they kill the dino with ridiculous amount of danmaku, as well as their powers, but leaving Riley unharmed. Meanwhile, the Stardust Crusaders think Tetris is at slight disadvantage after playing it, with a tribute agreeing.
Reimu and Sanae soon visit a rabbit cafe in the night and eat there, while the Stardust Crusaders are mistaken as the leaders of an UFO by the aliens, causing said UFO to be stolen. Then in the next day, the Stardust Crusaders are busy when Pukei Pukei does something completely unforgivable for them, but it apparently involves some slaughters, as well as other stuffs they hate. Meanwhile, Reimu and Sanae become sick after eating the food, but they are cured by a tribute.
As for President Snow and Coin, Julius orders the former to be revived. And as for the Moon, it's still not fixed yet. But Billy will do so later. In the meantime, everyone has to experience the tides disappearing and the waves diminishing initially, among other effects in long term But the Moon will be fixed before the long term effects set in.

Dave's Home Base
Flashback, The Meeting Room
Sometime after the party, Dave, Advisor Fira, Fleet Admiral Frederick Richardson
◊ (who had recently returned after a scouting mission assigned to him just after the battle against the Dark Nominators), Ninten and his group, a wandering version of Rod Serling who found himself at the Home Base during the times of unrest, and alternate versions of the Chosen Four who was with Serling all are gathering for a meeting, discussing recent happenings and future plans. The others who had went to the party had already departed back home after returning to the Home Base after the Death Battle, including the revived Navi (who went home with Link and Tatl as before).
Dave massages his temples at the reports. Clearly something bad is happening.... Then Dave receives a call from the Home Base's intelligence/communications network, the Soundwave Network. Their report is an alarm: two very high verse-level tributes are in the Arena. The Outerverse and the so-called Tier 0. The nominator? None other than Zorua. They also report that 6k1 and several other forces are moving in to head towards Zorua's own base. At the same time, Dave receives a message from Bale, which confirms the Network's report.
"Tell her that my fleet will be coming as soon as we can," Dave replies to Bale as Advisor Hans briefly enters the Meeting Room to report that their tributes are in. Dave nods at that.
"So, what now?" Fira asks.
"Admiral.... Prepare the Second and Fifth Fleets."
"Yes, Lord High Protector," Richardson replies, departing to prepare the fleet with Hans also returning to his post.
"If it's any help, we'll go with you. I can use my 4th-D Slip if we need a quick getaway," Ninten offers. His friends and the alternate Chosen Four all voice their agreements. Rod Serling, meanwhile, says that he could provide backup support if needed, due to his wartime experience. Thus, Dave agrees to let them all join.
Present Time
Soon enough, the fleets are ready, consisting of the fleet who had joined the mission to the Voidlands (the Second Fleet) and additional ships from the Fifth Fleet, which consists of two Ra Cailum-class battleships and a rare Slaughter-class cruiser. Richardson, Serling and the alternate Chosen Four are assigned to command the Nyx, the flagship of the Second Fleet. Fira, meanwhile, is assigned to lead the Home Base in his absence. Dave oversees the ships' departure from the docks, before he departs with Ninten's group by his own portal.
The Fields
The fleet soon arrives in the fields where 6k1 and her group is. Somewhere else, Dave's group steps out from his portal.
Suddenly, Dave receives another message from the Soundwave Network. "Reporting: Nominator - Scipion. Location: Detected in Zorua's Base. Signal locked in."
"That was quick," he notes as he calls 6k1. "Hey, 6k1, I've received the messages, and on my way. I'm currently in the fields myself, and my fleet has already locked on to Zorua's base. We're heading there as we speak."
He then takes a telescope from his pouch. From it, he sees Zorua's base, and Magolor's vehicle, much further away in the distance. "Huh. What a coincidence; looks like we won't have to travel too far," he notes as he sees his fleet in the distance, approaching from a different side. He then waits before a Theta-class T-2c shuttle
◊ is lauched from the Nyx, landing beside the group. The boearding ramp opens up, with Richardson's voice shouting for them to board. The group proceeds to do so, and the shuttle departs, ramp closing up as it takes off.
Inside Zorua's Base
Before anything else could happen, the rewinding time suddenly stops as a black portal appears in the same room Zorua is in. From it, a hooded man appears. Pure darkness enshrouds him, keeping anything else from seeing his face. It's the Entity of Darkness, Terminus

"So, you are the one they call Zorua?" he remarks dryly as he takes a look at them. "You don't seem remarkable at all. In fact, you look like a weakling. Your defense system is no match for me, anyway. But I digress."
He then takes a step forward as a raven appears from nowhere and lands on his shoulder. "This 'Tier 0'.... you truly presume that will be the end? Heh heh heh.... then you are a fool. What you presume is everything.... is in truth a tiny speck compared to the true scope of creation. And besides, did you really think that the higher entities won't do anything about it?
"However.... it seems you have a motive for this. I do not know how did you manage this or why are you doing this, but I will find out." He then laughs evilly before darkness consumes him and his raven. It disappates quickly, leaving nothing of Terminus, as if he was never there at all. As soon as he disappears, things return back to how it was before his appearance.
Shang Tsung's Palace
Terminus reappears on the throne room. Taking his seat, he summons a magic bubble viewer on the Arena. He looks on to see that the Outerverse and Tier 0 have been replaced with harmless copies.
"Interesting.... so I won't have to worry about the higher ups after all," he notes, before summoning another bubble showing the events at Zorua's base. "Yet all of this is still intriguing. I should see what further becomes of it." He then smirks slightly to himself.
Hope: "Let's go. We'll be together." Lightning: "I only know... that soon, we'll be together."

Psyche's Fanfic School - Psyche's Personal Quarters.
Psyche, still feeling rather downcast, sighs and looks down at her phone. She sends 6k1 a quick email.
Wake me up when everything goes back to normal. Too much to process right now. Still feeling kind of blue (and not in the Blue Pun Clan way.) Going to sleep for now.
She puts a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on her door, closes it and climbs into bed to take a nap.
Outside GC's base
After realizing that the more destructive effects haven't set in yet, Constantine decides to suck it up for a bit and venture back inside the base where he looks at the TV and continues looking at the events unfold.
Arena
Harako decides to construct a "Free Hugs" sign and place it on her neck as she walks around the arena, but no one takes the bait unfortunately.
GC's Base
"I don't think punching the moon apart would get you followers or anyone impressed, Harako, you idiot," he says, placing his hand on his forehead. "It's like you didn't even see Scott Pilgrim. The guy who punched a hole in the moon still couldn't keep the girl. You need to learn other ways to impress people," Constantine says.
Arena
In the meantime, Austin Powers walks around holding onto his harpoon gun and enters an area that Wyatt had previously filled with banana peels to slip on. "YEAH, BABY. Last time I saw this many banana peels, it was a real SHAGADELIC party. Austin looks left and right, before dropping the harpoon gun down on the ground as Wyatt plops down on the ground as well and Austin runs away from this area, hoping that no one saw what happened and blames it on him.
GC's base
At this point, Constantine just can't believe his eyes. "What... are you all doing? How did you manage to get yourself in this situation? You're... just.... You managed to somehow get into this situation without even doing anything. At this point, I don't think my tributes should even interact with any others."
Arena
Hanako points her hand towards Plank and starts shaking him around with her telekinesis, as another splinter flies off of his body, as she starts laughing madly at how much distress she's causing the other tributes.
GC's base
"You're so petty. If you win this, I'll personally put you down, Hanako. I'm surprised to rep you. You need to stop doing terrible things immediately," he states, distressed at how much mayhem his tribute is causing.

6k1 receives Dave's call and tells him that she needs to find a way to sneak in. She and Ally go down from the car, with the rest of the group, including Bebe, following them. She also receives Psyche's email and takes note of it.
"Alright Dave, what's the plan?" she says once they've boarded.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
As Billy is seeing the progress the group is making from reports he legitimately get, he thinks of his own plan that he has coordinated with Katniss, Peeta, Julius, and Paylor.
Basically, with the three's assistances, Julius will secretly retrieve and replace the real Omniverse and Type 0 with harmless copies that Billy will try to make. During this process, Billy will send his Stand, which can't be seen by Zorua or anyone else in the base, to modify and wipe parts of their memories, so they won't remember and know the part about replacing the real tributes with fakes. Billy is now just waiting the right time, considering the stake of this plan.
