1.2 > current > 1.1
1.2 is good, although the caption will probably need to point out that Pat Kiernan actually is a real person.
that's probably the best approach to this particular trope, yeah

Personally the only ones I recognized were Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper, but I think all of them would still need a caption explaining who the newscasters are, like the current. I think Spiderman has the advantage — because Spidey is so front and center, one doesn't need the text to know it's a fictional work.

I agree; the advantage with Spidey is that he's so obviously fictional - Even Tony Stark just looks like a regular guy in that picture. The only newscaster I vaguely recognize is the Iron Man one and even then I couldn't tell you his name

PSA: a cat is not a dogPerhaps the Spidey one is the best bet.
(Annoyed grunt)I was precisely thinking 1.2 needed a crop, so 6.1 is perfect.
Whether the newscaster is recognizable or not is quite secondary — only USAians would be familiar with any of them anyway, so the caption will always be needed to clear this up. Remember people from all around the world consult the wiki.
Spidey doesn't have this problem.
Suggested caption: Pat Kiernan in his 4th MCU cameonote and 2nd Spider-Man cameonote .

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."6.1 is fine with me.
That's six votes for 6.1, I believe it's enough.
"Pat Kiernan in his 4th MCU cameonote and 2nd Spider-Man cameonote ."
Good enough; it's in and tagged. Locking up.
The pic isn't bad per se (and nothing against Wolf Blitzer), but it doesn't illustrate much if it isn't made obvious it happens within the context of fiction and not just any news channel screen capture (which to be fair, this trope always try to look like in the first place).
Pat Kiernan being an MCU regular, he can certainly provides something: [1]◊ [2]◊
