Opened...not really getting the humor so far. There's a great Garfield strip for this, but it would need 2 of the 3 panels.
Nah, no humor in these pictures.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Yeah...getting the "hairball", but not so much of the "humor".
(Don't) take me home.I do recall owning a Garfield book with an insert near the beginning based around uses for cat hairballs. Alas, not only does my family no longer own them any more, GIS isn't turning it up either.
I did find this◊, though. Use panel 3?
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportDo you remember which book it was? If it's one of the comics compilations, my library has those, at least.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Yeah, it was one of the comic compilations. Latest one we had in my family was #35, and I know the first one is not it. That should narrow it down.
Edit: Looking at a list online, I remember that we also had #7, #8, probably #13, #14-16, #25, #31, and #33.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI know you'll probably reject it, but how about something from SpongeBob Comics #7, just to keep the (hair)ball rolling? There's an entire 4-page story revolving around hairballs courtesy of James Kochalka, who worked on one-page gag comics during the comics' run.
Those aren't bad actually. I say either panel 1 of the first image, or panels 3 and 4 of the second one.

As long as people can read the speech bubbles at wiki size, I'm good with it.
I think the speech bubbles need to have a touch larger font, but I think there's room for that.

The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Good enough. 17's in and tagged; caption?
This is a trope I launched and I noticed that it has no image. Here are two suggestions:
generic cat
Snowball◊
For every low there is a high.
