Yep, which is good. Maybe this incident will be the push needed to reform the TLP, or maybe we'll just need to make the conscious effort to be better, but either way, this did make the TLP problems more obvious to people who don't use TLP often and it has jumpstarted this discussion, so there's a silver lining.

Suggestion: instead of a trope being launched if it has at least five hats, make it so it can get launched if it has at least five more hats than bombs.

I was a little confused and a bit worried by the bomb vote on my TLP draft, Countrystan. (Fortunately, the next vote was a hat.) No comments were made about the tropeworthiness or quality of the submission.
So hats and bombs should be attributed and explained, and maybe the bomb should be replaced by something less negative. Suggestions:
- A cane, as in "Pull this off the TLP", and to match the way the hat is drawn.
- A boot, as in "Give this the boot"; a bit more negative than the cane but less so than the bomb.
- Renaming hats to Launch, which puts it on equal footing in a manner that accurately conveys their purpose.
- Thumbs up/thumbs down, to match the crowner system.
- Add/remove hats, though negative hats wouldn't make any sense.

Well, for drafts that need improvements, I've decided to hold off on bombing immediately. Instead, I want to establish communications with sponsors and let them be aware on what needs to be improved to help them out. I'll only bomb if the sponsors fail to respond to my attempts to help them or as an emergency measure to offset the hat count, should hats reach 5 and up.

Huh, it's been fixed. It didn't do that eight years ago, unless I'm remembering wrong.
