JAPAN SURRENDERS, HOSTILITIES IN THE PACIFIC ENDED - Seattle Post Intelligencer, August 15th, 1945

In the immediate aftermath of a superpowered WWII, the western coast of the United States looked to the ruins of their cities and, rather than holding the anger they felt to their chest, looked upward to a brighter future. Few places embodied this virtue of renewal and reconstruction more than Seattle, which due to its comparative proximity and industrial importance found itself a massive target. It would take some years for the people of that town to rebuild, but when they did, it became something far more important than a mere city: it became a symbol of rebirth.
MAYOR POMEROY SIGNS CONTESTED RECHRISTENING, OFFICIAL CEREMONY FOR THE FOURTH - Seattle Times, June 15th, 1955

Like a fire bringing new growth to a forest, the reconstruction period brought in an incredible flood of support from the country and the world. Though residents of the Seattle of times past would lament that it was not the city they grew up in, the new shape the culture and demographics of the increasingly cosmopolitan town found itself taking did not go unnoticed. Many people lobbied that, with the rebuilding being almost a complete do-over, they would see that a new name be given to it. Their pleas were answered, and the new name chosen by committee: Emerald City. Some bemoaned how unoriginal it was considering it was one of the most popular nicknames beforehand, but it stuck. Emerald City it was.
I promise you, we're going to get that thing signed. Giant robot or no, we'll see that it's signed - Mayor Leiweke on the signing of the City Vigilante Support Bill, April 22nd, 1962

Immediately, Emerald City became a jewel of the west, its renewed opulence and modernity bringing to it far more people than it ever had before. The city's giant spike in population occurred seemingly overnight, soon beginning to rival their sister cities to the south in sheer magnitude. The advent of this renaissance brought with it America's technological corpus on board, which in the ever-brewing Cold War period they could never let lag behind the mysterious enemies over the sea and their men of iron. Technology brings with it a deadly allure, and the criminal elements of civilization began to creep inward. If you let this kind of thing fester long enough, you'll end up with the newly revealed Space Needle turning into a giant mechanical octopus by a man who calls himself Dr. Octowrestler. Though it already had its own super-populace, Emerald City was one of the first to put their feet forward and sign into existence a bill that outright supported the heroes that called this place home.
I'll repeat what one of my predecessors said, so listen up: We're going to get that thing signed. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Now, stick that phone somewhere else besides my face. - Mayor Hercule on the signing of the New Vigilante Support Bill, December 23rd, 2019

The influx of heroic peoples from all over the globe made the following few decades some of the most peaceful in the country's history, at least in Emerald. The citizenry could stay safe knowing that at any moment if threatened, someone in a costume could zoop by to immediately and lawfully detain the people who were bothering them. Crime sunk to minimal levels by the late 80s, and eventually with all of this general niceness going around, things grew stagnant. Crime never sleeps, but it certainly seemed for a while that they were taking vacations elsewhere. Many heroes, tempted by the fact that things actually happened in other parts of the world, began to slowly file out. Those that remained grew more lax as time went on, and eventually the proclaimed Capital of Superheroics had its protectorate populace drop drastically.

Evil took notice, though it took it a while. The crime rate gradually drew to a fever pitch, with the economic crises of the middle 2000s hitting the Emerald City hard and inviting discordance into its home. Things got bad enough, with the assassination of then-current Mayor Jackson in the middle '10s bringing the obvious problem to light. Though the politicians of the time were loathe to admit it, they had to: Emerald City had lost what had made it beautiful in the past. To fix this, they basically bribed people with superpowers to come and fix their problems for them. Promising housing, living expenses, a basic income, full support from the ECPD, identity protection and custom webpages, the New Vigilante Support Bill shouted to the world this: "We really need help, seriously."

As of the current day, it is June 15th, 2020. Even with the sudden influx of thousands of new supers returning once again causing an immediate increase to how not-awful Emerald City is, things have a long way to go.

Men ride around the streets in fancifully themed costumes, waving Uzis in the air as they make off with hard-robbed bags of cash. Rising tensions between the normal citizens and those blessed with great power are slowly reaching a boiling point. Old evils, long left forgotten, are slowly coming back into the daylight. Families of malfeasance slowly sink their teeth into the establishment, drinking their blood. Rumors of things living in the Old City below and things coming from the stars above may yet have some truth to them. Bigfoot was spotted for the first time in 20 years, sparking fears that the end of the world may be right around the corner. And yet, you have a feeling that this is all nothing in comparison to what might be in the cards...

Hi there, my name's wikkit and this is the sixth entry in the third season of A Game of Gods, titled Exemplar. Yep, Terminus didn't work out, so we're trying something different: superhero crossovers!

The idea is that, like some games of old, you take your pre-established character from canon and try to fit them into a very open-ended superhero universe. What does that mean? No Original Characters. Try to repurpose your favorite characters from any franchise and bring them to a superpowered pinnacle. You can go just about as deep or as light as you want with the AU stuff, as long as the character is remotely recognizable from before, or is changed in any way from the original. Characters already from superhero-y works are as accepted as ones from any other kind of fiction, so do as you please.

Hopefully, this will lend itself to a more sandboxy environment than my past effort. The whole of Emerald City and beyond is open to you for making up your own plotlines and doing as you please, just run it by me beforehand. The reason we're in the Emerald City™ and not Seattle is to facilitate this ease-of-plotting, and make it easier for people who are not actually familiar with the place beyond "rain and starbucks" to understand it. It's like Seattle, but only when you want it to be. Otherwise, it might as well be any other American modern-day metropolis, and you can do describe it however you please.

  • When coming up with your character, please try to avoid having their backstory be "it's literally the same character from canon, they just fell into an illusio-pit and ended up in this universe completely unchanged". Please attempt to make them a part of this setting. If you find yourself unable to do this, please either discuss this with me or find a different character.
  • We accept any kind of morality for your character, so if you want to play a supervillain, or neutral guy, or whatever other morality you can come up with, feel free to do so.
  • When coming up with your character's backstory, lore that expands the universe is something I eagerly await. However, work with me on it. There will be a number of other people filling in the blanks as well, and getting it all to fit together will be difficult. I get to be the final decider on these kinds of things, so keep that in mind. Don't think about this as saying "don't try", go hog wild! Just accept that the answer might be "no" if it is too much of an issue to include.
  • Try to come up with some long term goals for your character that are something other than "i must fite the evol badguys >:("
  • The character limit is one hero and one villain.
  • I really wish we didn't have to say this, but we reserve the right to decline anyone from our game for any reason, minus the obvious exceptions of discrimination against your race, religion, gender, and the like. Forum rules apply, and please be kind to your fellow players.

  • DOWNTOWN - The heart of the city, where everything goes on. The Center of the West. Skyscrapers, gleaming streets, very steep hills on literally every single block, and fancy restaurants. Tends to be targeted by the young and the foolhardy. Crime Level: Low-Medium.
  • CITY CENTER - The place where quite a few of Emerald City's municipal buildings lay, and things are pleasant enough. A large amount of the center is dedicated parkland, and the area has little in the way of problem with the criminal elements that have come up recently, due to the ECPD's extensive presence in the area. Crime Level: Low.
  • DUWAMISH - The rich part of town. The economic boom of the 50's through the 60's made this place the home of wealthy construction magnates for some years, and it's continued to the point where you pretty much have to be very well-off to step inside. The amount of security here, private and otherwise, means it's the most secure of the neighborhoods. However, even heroes might find it stifling to work in this area. Crime Level: Minimal.
  • WATERFRONT - Which is exactly what it sounds like. Toward the northern end are the majority of the industrial businesses and shipping docks, and towards the south more piers and recreational places as it receives quite the large amount of tourists pouring in from Downtown. Recently, some areas have felt the touch of organized crime, but it remains spotty throughout the district. Crime Level: Low-Medium.
  • CASCADIA - With a renewed interest in technological development coming in internationally, especially as the city's faltering (briefly) lowered land prices in this district, it quickly brought itself above and beyond the rest of the city's tech level. A brief glimpse into the world of tomorrow, as one of the few truly futuristic places in this world. Gleaming-er streets, Smart™ everything, drones and automated cameras on every street corner, it's Silicon Valley's dream of the future. The slimy tentacles of Evil rarely grab hold of this district, but the marvels being developed sure are tempting, aren't they? Crime Level: Low.
  • FREMONT - The international district. Home to most of the city's hipster population as the rest of it grew too mainstream for them, meaning it's slowly gentrifying, but largely remains known for its diverse immigrant population. The center in between various levels of wealth in this town, it makes for an interesting mixing point of many different cultures. Crime Level: Medium.
  • OLD PIKE HILL - Largely escaping the events of the second World War, this place remains a place where one can look at the currently buried world of Seattle as it once was. Mostly residential and commercial, it's sleepy enough to escape the notice of most anyone. Crime Level: Low.
  • MEEKER WAY - Sprawling suburbia, as far as the mortal mind can comprehend. And the Seahawks and Mariners. Crime Level: Low.
  • CAPITOL HILL - Even moreso than Old Pike, Capitol Hill (which doesn't actually represent the capitol of anything) received very little damage in the course of WWII. It proves to be one of the largest entertainment and nightlife districts, but is probably the most impoverished area in the city. The place that needs help the most, as even with the New Vigilante Support Bill the area remains hit hard by the crime wave. Crime Level: High.
  • IRONHOUSE DISTRICT - Taken by Superhero-then-Investor Edward J. Ironhouse during the war years and revitalized, this is the industrial center of the entire state. However, it lost its luster sometime past the 60's, and nowadays is in a shaky condition. If you want to find an abandoned warehouse to fight in, this is probably the place for it. Crime Level: High.

Other places of note within the area:

  • Blake Island Correctional Facility: Because no city is complete without a mega-prison. Four miles off of the southwestern edge of Emerald City, Blake Island was converted from a nature reserve during the war into a place to hold superpowered P.O.W.s, and retained much the same purpose past then as superpowered people keep causing trouble. Good security, believe it or not.
  • To the North: The farmlands of Skagit Valley. Peaceful and rustic.
  • To the West: Puget Sound and the waters therein, the various islands which are largely upscale residential areas, the ports and naval bases of the peninsula, and Blake Island.
  • To the East: The fancy-pants towns of Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond, Lake Washington and Sammamish, and then the pure, kind-of-untouched forests of the Cascade mountain range.
  • To the South: Tacoma. We don't go to Tacoma.

  • Name: Cannon Dancer
  • Age: 20
  • Appearance: Cannon Dancer
  • Personality: Stoic and quiet for the most part, Kirin is a person who could be construed as somewhat blunt but also extremely loyal whether it be to comrades or job offers. He also tends to get incredibly offended if he's betrayed by those without honor. Spiritual and passionate despite his lack of verbal responses, Kirin is one of those types who have extremely hotbloodedness while looking icy on the surface. He's also quite lacking in the social department due to spending the majority of his time either training or on missions though he's seeking to rectify that part.
  • Backstory: Kirin grew up training in vast wilderness of Eurasia, honing his mystic martial arts skills that could be said to have been descended from ninjas and before them came from an unnamed but nevertheless deadly branch of the 'killing fist' style that originated from Northern China. Leaving his secretive tribe of like-minded of Chinese martial artist mercenaries/assassins, he would then take up the family trade of tackling on various jobs by shadier government types after opening up a small mercenary group of like-minded martial artists that went by the name of Teki ("Barbarian") until one day he was betrayed when on a mission to rid a small Middle Eastern country's terrorist cult for the local government.
    • Betrayed by said government in a cowardly sneak attack as well as his own organization by dint of getting shot in the back by a plasma weapon, Kirin woke up chained in the middle of a desert just before the wildlife attempted to feast on his body before freeing himself to embark on a journey of vengeance that ultimately culminated in him destroying the his old teammates as well as some sort of supernatural entity that proclaimed itself a deity.
    • After that, Kirin decided it was high time to look for a successor to his arts as well as to hone his skills yet further against different opponents so he left the Middle East's warzones and headed towards Emerald City via a group of eccentric pirates that owed him a favor.
  • Secret Identity: None.
  • Skills: Kirin is a highly trained grand-master tiered martial artist, specifically one that trained in the killing ways of the assassination fist style. He's incredibly well versed at taking on humanoid enemies due to knowing how they work on a basic level though he tends to use more power and less technique against those that don't have a shape he's used to dealing with. Kirin is also incredibly amazing at parkour and acrobatics, able to scale even the most difficult of terrain as though he is running across flat ground so long as he actually has hand and foot holds. Lastly he has grappling skills for days incorporated in his own personal style that lets him perform wrestling moves like suplexes as smooth as butter.
  • Powers: Kirin is one of those very rare humans that managed to unlock their 'Ki', or internal energy that comes from mysticism and/or a certain mastery of the physical body that allows them to achieve superhuman qualities. In Kirin's case, he has enough arm strength to toss tigers dozens of feet away with enough force to crush their spines, jump thirty feet standing and fifty feet running, hit highway speeds of 65 mph in short bursts, run the length of a small desert without stopping, climb up very slick vertical surfaces through sheer finger and toe strength alone, and punch hard enough to break skeletal structures encased in plate armor.
    • Kirin's more esoteric abilities involve being able to briefly generate body doubles of himself like a ninja's shadow clones (maximum of four) to serve as either decoys or impromptu teammates before they reemerge with the main source. They're also pretty dumb so they can only really run towards and attack whatever's nearest them and they disperse with one solid hit with their physical output being half of Kirin's in all ways. His ultimate technique directs all available clones to run towards something before outright exploding after doing a kamikaze close combat attack though he can only perform one such attack in every major engagement.
    • Due to being from a certain tribe that achieved their incredible feats by tapping into passion, the more worked up he gets the more abilities he can use. When he gets particularly heated up, he can shoot out shockwaves via punches or kicks, slice apart rock via generating razor sharp ki waves that extend from his limbs, or fire off vacuum waves from kicking alone. He is capable of going ORAORAORA with his hands and his feet can perform Chun-Li's 1000 Rending Kicks with effort and the 100 version with ease.
    • Due to the way his ki works, his limbs tend to be engulfed in a faint golden layer that allows him to hit extremely hard/hot/cold/various other harmful effects as long as he's fast enough to yank his limbs back before the protective layer gets eaten through. As a living 'human weapon', his bloodthirst is so strong that it gives him the special ability of being able to damage spiritual or psychic entities that are normally intangible or invulnerable to regular physical trauma such as a living sun man or a 'God Without Form'. He can also see things like ghosts and purify them by killing them to send them directly to the afterlife he manages to kill them (again). Being forged through adversity has resulted in a resilient mental resistance that can dispel most mental or psychic attacks if he struggles hard enough as well.
  • Holdings: Kirin lives inside the cafe Apicius, which basically serves wild and exotic game on the menu. His job is basically an ingredient supplier which pays for his bunking in their attic. It is owned by a young entrepreneurial woman very much dedicated to the culinary arts who goes by the name of Regina Dubois.
  • Equipment: Gauntlets and grieves made from an incredibly sturdy yet lightweight special metal alloy to help protect his four limbs from getting hurt since those directly contributes to his overall survival as well as his trademark Teki outfit that consists of kung fu pants and a shoulderless plus backless silken top for free limb rotation.
  • Notoriety: 3, the public wouldn't know of him but the government intelligence agents of various countries would know of his mercenary exploits. He's also very well known in the Middle Eastern bloc as 'Cannon Dancer' due to repeated jobs that resulted in terrorists and religious zealots getting assassinated.

  • Name: Medusa
  • Work of Origin: Fate/stay night
  • Age: Over 14,000. Or about late-twenties-lookin'.
  • Appearances
  • Personality: She's not exactly what you'd call loud, cocky, or self-righteous, like you might associate with a 'traditional' comic book hero. But neither is she edgy like a more modern hero. She is a bit of a blend between the two, being a normally caring, sweet, and somewhat quiet person who is very much interested in making the world a better place, both because it's what she believes is the right thing to do, and because she feels the need to atone for her sins. She has a downright sadistic streak buried deep inside of her, which she is loathe to admit exists, but she can be prone to indulge in it during particularly violent affairs. She hates when people prey on those weaker than themselves, especially those who would commit crimes against women, and put on a mask (as is the local custom) so that she could put a stop to those things when she can. She's very self-conscious about her appearance as a result of all the trouble it's brought her, and tries to downplay her looks and has trouble accepting compliments about them. She would very much like to be able to legally afford a badass racing bike one day. And maybe a new Nissan Titan.
  • Backstory: The historical figure from Greek mythology you all know and love. While all originally beautiful women, she and her sisters were hated by Poseidon's wife because of his love for them. After some unpleasantness, Athena transformed them into demons. They isolated themselves on a remote island to try and live a peaceful life, but Medusa was fiercely protective of her sisters and attacked the people other gods tricked into going to their island to try saving them. Eventually, she devolved so much she ate her sisters and turned into a horrific monster, and was defeated by Perseus by reflecting her petrification back at her with his mirror-like shield. Also, Pegasus flew outta her neck when it happened. That's just a thing the Greeks did, you gotta accept that.
That would have been the end of her story, had some bumbling cultists not taken a long-ignored statue from the Emerald City Museum of Art and history. Her body had been a simple display piece of millennia, and through the application of some truly unpleasant magical rituals, the 'statue' was reborn back into Medusa. Turns out, cultists are idiots. Much to her benefit, they had brought her back to life at her peak, rather than as the monster she became later in life. They wanted her to do their bidding like some sort of servant, but one look at the dead transients they had used to fuel their spell, she gave them a rather stony response and got the hell out of there, only to discover that Earth was a liiiiittle different nowadays.
  • Secret Identity: Ana Rider
    • Cover: Ana is a fun, but rather quiet, young woman who immigrated from Greece and changed her incomprehensibly long birth name into something more "American", and runs a small antique shop. It's not a bulletproof cover identity, but she somehow managed to get a decent fake identity, and Greece is like the Tacoma of Europe so it's not suspicious of her to say that all her records were hardcopy only and somehow destroyed during Greek's various meltdowns.
  • Skills: See 'Powers' below, as many of her skills come from her powers. Other than that, just uh... fighting, I guess? And riding things. And some knowledge of history, specifically Greek, and antiquing.
  • Powers:
    • Superhuman: She is tough, strong, and fast. She could throw a car like a basketball, though she couldn't deadlift an 18-wheeler even with both arms. She can act and react far faster than the average human could, letting her get into high-speed melees that would leave your average Joe blinking and unaware, and could outrun a car on city streets, though she'd need a set of wheels to go any faster. She can endure some serious punishment, shrugging off blows and small arms fire without much issue, and surviving attacks from superpowered folks without breaking. She can't instantly heal her wounds, but she has such great vitality that she can generally recover from most damage after a short rest, and a long rest can take care of whatever's left. Her senses are all several times greater than any humans, allowing her to fight and drive and do other things completely blindfolded without any issue (though she can't read no matter how good her ears are, of course). Oddly, she can also cling to buildings and ceilings like a damn spidermonkey.
    • Magic Resistance: Medusa is a daughter of primordial gods, and has a strong resistance to magic cast on her. Journeyman spells can't even touch her, and advanced spells have diminished effect.
    • Monstrous Strength: She has a more strength than she normally uses, which she can call upon when she needs the extra edge for a few minutes at a time. This causes her appearance to look more reptilian when doing so. It only boosts her strength by perhaps a quarter, but it can make the difference in life-or-death situations
    • Divine Tongue: She magically knows all Earthly languages, so she was able to get used to living in America despite having come from ye olde Greek times.
    • Riding: Medusa is skilled at riding things. Not just intrinsic skill though, but magic too. She instantly comprehends how to control and ride any sort of mount, vehicle, or other sort of ride-able thing with more skill than a lifetime professional. Only things like deeply powerful dragons are beyond her ability to ride. Additionally, she puts a little bit of magical oomph into whatever she rides, granting it increased performance and durability inversely proportional to the object's original capabilities. She could juice a fixie bike enough to race with a supercar and survive just about any punishment it takes, but something like a car or a helicopter would have a marginal increase because they're already so good. Things that are vaguely vehicle-like or can be conceived of as a vehicle can also be ridden if need be, like a chainsaw.
    • Cybelle - Mystic Eyes: Her eyes are cursed to turn people to stone when she locks gazes with them. The people have to be mortal, have little magical power, and have very little strength compared to Important People and Player Characters. She cannot manually control them beyond shutting her eyelids to turn them off - if her eyes are open, then she risks activating them the moment she looks at someone. That's why she always has a blindfold on while heroing, and special glasses while cover storying.
    • Magic: In case it wasn't clear, her powers are magical in nature, and are likewise fueled by an inherently large source of magical power within her. It's not science. That's why she can seemingly go without rest for long periods of time, or just generally be woke.
      • Blood Magic: She has the unfortunate ability to gain power from blood. If she drinks blood, or sinks her teeth into someone's neck, she can drain them nearly to the point of death (or all the way there) to restore her own energy, rather than having to recover naturally by resting.
  • Equipment:
    • Hero Getup: While Medusa's sisters were full immortal and, as such, never aged past being middle-school-sized, Medusa was able to become a full adult before her immortality put a stop to that growing thing. As a result, the dress she wears now, which is a hand-me-down from her sisters, is perhaps a size or two too small, but still more than functional. And durable enough to not need stitches after every goddamn fight. It is magically able to be summoned to replace her normal attire, along with her nail and blindfold, in a heroic quick-change.
    • Nail: Basically a really pointy piece of metal tied to a long chain. It can turn invisible if needed. It is her preferred weapon. It is also horrifically bloody when used so she'd rather employ the pointy end after exhausting other options.
    • Breaker Gorgon: Her blindfold is a magical item capable of fully sealing away her magical eyes. And her vision. She's not gonna be reading menus with these suckers on.
    • Bellerophon: A shining golden bridle and whip paired as a set that is capable of fully controlling a Divine Beast. What's a Divine Beast, you ask? Well, she happens to have a Pegasus (see holdings). Unlike her other items, she doesn't store this somewhere easily accessible. The only way to pull this bad boy out is to uh... slash her neck open and withdraw it in a gruesome geyser of blood.
    • Eyeglasses: She has eyeglasses that, much like Breaker Gorgon, suppress the magic of her eyes. Unlike Breaker Gorgon, they let her see, as they function by making her eyes look relatively normal. Another difference is that they are far more fragile than Breaker Gorgon, so fighting with them is somewhat risky, even if she suddenly stopped caring about her identity.
  • Notoriety: 5. She isn't good at the boisterous part of being a hero, but she is out there doing stuff.
  • Holdings: Has a small antique shop (named Singing Birds Retreat) in a quiet location towards the outskirts of the Downtown area, towards the City Center and halfway between the Waterfront and Duwamish. It has a comfortably-sized living area upstairs. She has a late-nineties model Ford F250 pickup truck for moving the larger store pieces.
    • Pegasus: Pegasus is a mighty winged horse that belongs to Medusa. While she was busy being stoned, Pegasus was still living in the world, growing stronger and generally chilling out. Pegasus can fly, of course, faster than any car could drive, and tough, at least as tough as Medusa. He's also very chill, since he's just a cool horse who ain't got a problem with anyone; he's pretty docile and all about that grazing life. This non-violent approach to life works most of the time. He's only willing and able to lay down some damage in a single circumstance: If Medusa pulls out Bellerophon (see equipment) she's capable of controlling Pegasus, at which point he's down to smash into things like a flying wrecking ball. He conveniently doesn't show up on radar or satellite, allowing him to fly off to parts unknown to have fun without the government chasing him down daily. He also has some sort of mental link with Medusa, as he knows when she needs him, and how to get to her.

  • Name: 2B

  • Age: Unknown

  • Appearance: I guess someone was feeling a little gothic when she was built

  • Personality: Blunt, cold, mission focused, loyal, these are all words one can use to describe the android machine known only as 2B. Always ready to reprimand someone for stupid behavior, she tries to come off as emotionless. But this guise can sometimes slip when she is among people who she considers allies, and as much as she'd deny it, she has her own quirks, likes, and dislikes, and finds herself drawn to humanity as a whole, for reasons not even she truly understands...

  • Backstory:

Commencing System Check....

This was the first, and only thing that 2B could remember as she woke up, smack dab in the middle of the Nevada Desert. Although she could remember nothing, she still.....knew things. Her designation was Unit 2B. She was a combat android, not machine, that word was.....uncultured, inaccurate, like calling a supercomputer a PC. A combat android. She knew of the ways of war, of combat, and at a mere thought, an arsenal of weapons appeared in her hand. But why did she possess them? What was she meant to use them for? Why was she here, in the middle of nowhere? These were questions she could not answer.

Unit 2B.

The floating device next to her was her only clue, her only connection in this unknown world. She knew he was Pod 042, or just Pod for short, before he even spoke. A repository of knowledge, her mind told her, ablit one that was currently empty, although even as they spoke, she could sense him cataloging something known only as "The internet". She and he were linked, and a word came to her mind, unbidden.

Comrades

A strange word to describe something clearly unlike her, yet she could sense this was the correct term for their relationship without having yet opened her mouth. In an unknown world, she could sense that he would be her most trusted ally, that he would stand by her even if all others abandoned her.

"What do we do?" She asked him.

Suggestion: There is nothing here for us. Scans reveal no trace of any foreign materials. Remaining here is inadvisable. We must depart.

"I see.....and where do we go? What is our mission?"

At this moment, we have none. If, however, you would like a destination, may I advise we go here?

A map appeared in front of Pod, pointing a direct line from her position across the country to a city known as Emerald City. Part of her wondered, why there? But she didn't question Pod. She had no better ideas. And so she started walking across the desert. The walk quickly turned to a jog, then a run, then a full sprint, and before long, she was running at over 60 miles per hour, leaving a long trail of sand kicked up in her wake behind her as she ran, a run that would not slow until she reached her destination.

  • Secret Identity: None

  • Skills:

    • Swordsmanship: Unsurprisingly, given her status as a combat android, 2B is an expert with her many bladed weapons. She can use most types of melee weapons to a degree beyond the abilities of most humans.

    • Moderate Technical Skill: While not her primary function, 2B still knows a thing or two about how to work technology. She's not going to be fixing nuclear reactors or anything, but she knows at least enough to be able to maintain herself in the absence of Pod.

    • Fishing skill: A noted guilty pleasure of 2B, she knows many things about fishing, even if her....unique method of doing it will raise eyebrows, and often enjoys the act of doing so, selling what she catches for some pocket change

  • Powers:

    • Combat Android: So let's get this out of the way. 2B is an android, which comes with all the usual benefits of being a robot. She's far heavier than the usual human, she doesn't need to sleep, doesn't need to rest, doesn't need to eat, although she can if she so chooses, has perfect memory recall beyond the memories she can't access regarding her origins, and her physical parameters can all be labeled as "better than most humans".

    • Speed/Agility: Although it takes time to build speed, and turning is not exactly easy at full speed, 2B can run at speeds of around 60 miles per hour at maximum speed, and because she's a robot, she won't really get tired from the act. Then again, doing.....much of anything else is going to be hard while she runs if she's going that fast. She's also very agile and can dodge, flip, roll, and otherwise skillfully evade enemies. Sometimes her body flickers in the act, as if she's moving quickly enough that she's in two places at once, but this is a purely visual effect intended to confuse attackers.

    • Short Range Blade Telekinesis: 2B can use internal systems that bind themselves to her unique weapons to guide her blades in mid flight, basically giving her the ability to swing her blades without touching them. She still has to use hand motions to guide the blade, and the range of it is about 5 feet away from her body.

    • Blade Summoning: When not in use, 2B's blades vanish into thin air. She can keep them on her back if she wishes, but this is not something she needs to do. In the same breath, she can resummon any of her blades at will.

    • Unhackable: To say 2B is advanced tech would be putting it mildly. She is far beyond what one would consider the usual tech level on earth. As such, any attempt to try to hack into her internal systems or those of Pod will be instantly defeated by her internal defenses.

  • Equipment:

    • Virtuous Blades: A set of 3 unique blades, each of which 2B is deeply familiar with. These blades are made out of unknown materials, save that it's not your usual brand of earth steel. No one's likely to find out what it is because 2B will punt you across the city before she lets you do a deep examination of these blades, but whatever it is renders them effectively indestructible. She can also use the blunt end of them to wack people and safely knock them out without killing them. Virtuous Contact is a one handed sword, Virtuous Treaty is a large, two handed sword, and Virtuous Dignity is a long spear.

    • Blindfold Visor: 2B's blindfold has an actual purpose, it is a visor that allows her full field of view, while also giving her a tactical HUD that she can see. This HUD allows her to see a number of things, including a self-diagnosis of her status, her current equipment, a map of the area, and other information she can call up as needed.

    • Pod 042: Pod is a floating, box shaped robot that serves as 2B's main support on the field. He comes with his own unique equipment.

      • Flight: Yep. He can also use this to help 2B make long jumps she might not be able to perform on her own, although with her added bulk, he will slowly fall toward the ground, turning it into more of a glide then flight.

      • Communications Equipment: He has what amounts to a super advanced radio that can contact whatever he needs it to contact. Usually used to speak with 2B, he does not need to vocalize his speech outwardly to others to use it, enabling him and 2B to communicate privately. He can also use it to call others, although this requires he has some way to find the frequency, be it a cell phone number or whatnot.

      • Information Repository: Pod also has internet access, and uses this to provide rapid information about anything 2B has questions about. Think of it like a floating google box. This information, of course, is limited to publicly available information, and depending on the topic, it may take time for him to sufficiently gather and analyze the information.

      • Scanners: 2B has many things, but scanners are not one of them, she has to rely on her eyeballs, as high tech as they are. Thus, Pod comes equipped with a short range area scanner. Within a range of about 50 feet, he can scan and find lifeforms and technology in the area.

      • Maintenance: Pod also has the ability to perform maintenance on 2B. He can generate the materials needed to fix serious damage to her, although this requires he has raw materials on hand to synthesize.

      • Weapons Systems: Pod also provides long range support for 2B. He has two modes, a quick, rapid gatling gun that does minimal damage on contact but fires quickly, or a longer range laser that 2B has to manually activate with a program and a hand motion and requires a full minute to recharge between uses. While he is using these systems, he cannot move, and he will have to stop firing to evade any form of attack

      • Armor: He's decently durable, you might be able to stun him with a gunshot but it's going to take more than that to seriously damage him. He's not meant for combat, and usually won't stray more than a few feet from 2B's side at any point. He can also auto repair himself, but this takes long enough that it won't happen in combat.
  • Holdings: She's rented out a storage unit in a Public Storage facility on the waterfront, about the size of a garage, that mostly exists so she has a place to preform maintenance and repairs when needed.
  • Notoriety: 3. It'd be 2, but I doubt floating drone robots are a common sight in Emerald City.

  • Name: City Hunter
  • Work of Origin: City Hunter
  • Age: Unknown, likely somewhere in his twenties.
  • Appearance: Mokkori! In his suit
  • Personality: Most of the time, Ryo is a goofy perverted man who doesn't seem to take anything seriously and whose main preoccupation is getting with any beautiful woman he comes across. When things get serious, he show himself to be a fearless professional who greatly enjoy humiliating and putting fear in the heart of those who hurt the innocents. Yet even that is partly a facade for a man haunted by his past who doesn't think himself as worthy of being part of society.
  • Backstory: When he was three years old, the plane Ryo was on crashed somewhere in South America, killing his family and leaving him as the sole survivor who could remember his first name. The land he arrived in was plagued by a never ending civil war, and he was forced to become a child soldier in a guerilla to survive. He struck a friendship with a japanese soldier by the name of Shin Kaibara, who became his adoptive father.
The war still hadn't ended by the time Ryo became a young adult, and its horrors drove Kaibara insane. Based on the Super Soldier programs of World War II, he developed a drug called Angel Dust, which would turn soldiers into killing machines. To prove its usefulness, he forced it unto Ryo. The drug turned the young man into a near-mindless superstrong berserker who killed a enemy squadron by himself. This act of violence horrified Kaibara's superior, who exiled him. Ryo suffered devastating withdrawals which almost killed him and took an extraordinary effort from both him and the camp's doctor to recover from. By the time he recovered, the war had ended.
Not knowing what to do with his life, he followed another older soldier to the United States, where he became a Sweeper: a man who take job which would require to serve either as a private eye, a bodyguard or even a professional killer, tough he always strove to make any job he picked follow his own moral code. He switched between a number and partner and eventually took the name of City Hunter. Hearing of the instability in Emerald City, he figured that his would be a place who would need his service and so moved there.
  • Secret Identity: Ryo Saeba
    • Cover: An aimless playboy who spend his days and nights partying around and hitting on random women. He does many odd jobs to keep himself from falling into poverty.
  • Skills: Ryo is very skilled with the use of all firearms and shows absurd accuracy with them. He's also a skilled melee fighter and can kick the ass of most thugs without any problem, which is helped by the fact that he's very physically fit. He has the uncanny talent of changing his voice to flawlessly mimic the voice of anyone he has ever heard. He's also a surprisingly good cook.
  • Powers: Super Reflexes: As a side effect of being the only man who's ever recovered from Angel Dust, Ryo possess uncanny reflexes and is able to react amazingly fast to any danger. He also possess amazingly good hearing and eyesight.
  • Equipment:
    • Colt Python: Ryo's weapon of choice. A powerful .357 Magnum caliber revolver with a six-round cylinder. He tends to use Full metal jacket bullets. It is equipped with a sound supressor.
    • Remington Model 700: A five-round sniper rifle.
    • M20 Super Bazooka: A destructive and heavy rocket launcher.
    • Micro-Recorders: Small recording device roughly the size of a clothing button that stick to surfaces. They're connected to a radio in Ryo's apartment which allow him to hear what's happening around them.
    • Knives: Small knives used to cut stuff. Also can be thrown.
    • Suit: A fully-covering suit which he dons when he works. It's reinforced to reduce damage and function as a bulletproof vest, but it's not like it's made of steel or anything. Also contain holding places for his Python and his knives.
    • Mini Cooper Mk-I: A rather small red car. It can go pretty fast, but it's just a normal car.
  • Holdings: Ryo owns a rather large apartment with a living room, a dining room equipped with kitchen, a bathroom, Ryo's bedroom, a toilet and a sound-proof shooting range for practice.
Aditionaly, to contact him, you need to write on a board in a train station nearby from where he lives the word "XYZ" and write the details of the meeting.
  • Notoriety: 4, City Hunter is known all over the criminal underworld and even by a good part of the general public.

  • Name: Pitch Black, AKA the Boogeyman
  • Work of Origin: Rise of the Guardians
  • Age: As old as fear itself
  • Appearance: "Are you afraid of the boogeyman?"
  • Personality: Pitch is ruthless and conniving, thriving in the nightmares he creates and seemingly taking delight in being one of the hammiest villains possible. At the same time, however, he's extremely lonely and frequently tries to lure kindred spirits to his side, lashing out in anger when they turn him down. He wants only two things - vengeance on the Guardians, and to be believed in.
  • Backstory: Mostly going by the books' backstory here, since as far as I know movie Pitch never got an origin story.
    • Long ago, in the time of myth, Pitch was a general assigned to watch over the prison of the Fearlings, monsters of pure nightmare that spent years terrorizing the universe. However, the Fearlings tricked him into opening their prison by imitating his daughter, breaking free and turning him into one of their own when he did so. The Guardians, a group of mystical beings created to protect children from Pitch's nightmares, formed to stop him, managing to lock him away for thousands of years...until now.
    • Awakening in the underbelly of Seattle, Pitch fed on the fear blooming in the wake of the superheroes' departure, slowly growing his army of nightmares. However, with the recent influx of heroes, his power has started to wane, and he has set himself to the task of returning the city to the state it once was. Or, at the very least, to terrorizing some heroes.
  • Secret Identity: None.
  • Skills: Intelligent and cunning, and with no moral qualms about it.
  • Powers:
    • Can turn good dreams into his creepy nightmares, which can interact with the surrounding world but can only be seen by either those who believe in him or those who have some ties to the supernatural.
    • He can also basically teleport through shadows (only shadows, though).
    • He has the ability to sense one's greatest fear.
    • He can also make weapons out of the sand his nightmares are made of, though the only ones demonstrated so far are a scythe and a bow.
  • Equipment: His nightmares and his sand weapons.
  • Holdings: Lives in what little remains of the Seattle Underground.
  • Notoriety: 6. After all, what child hasn't heard of the boogeyman?

  • Name: Black Cat
  • Work of Origin: RWBY
  • Age: 19
  • Appearance:
  • Personality: Cool and reserved, but quietly passionate. She is kind-hearted and compassionate and never hesitates to confront prejudice when she sees it, but the world has given her a pragmatic outlook that makes her suspect the worst in people even as she tries to see the best. She also has a reclusive, moody streak, and a tendency to brood over her problems, exacerbated by a lingering hint of self-loathing and guilt over her past indiscretions.
  • Backstory:
    • Before adopting her current heroic persona, Black Cat once fought under a different name - the teenaged supervillain Shadow Fang, saboteur and spy for a mutant supremacist organization known as the New Lords. Driven to righteous anger by anti-mutant prejudice in her small rural American hometown, she trained with the group from an early age and carried out raids and robberies against so-called "enemies of mutantkind". As she grew older, however, she became disillusioned with the group's growing extremism, and after an encounter with a retired superhero called Ozpin she made the decision to defect.
    • Her co-operation in handing in some of her former comrades, and a good word from Ozpin, kept the young woman out of juvenile detention, and saw her invited to study at Beacon Academy, a superhero school based in British Columbia. There she began the process of, in her eyes, making up for her time as a villain by giving back to society. She re-trained, she made some friends, she had many sessions with Beacon's in-house therapists and branding experts both, eventually emerging into the public eye as a new hero - Black Cat. Of course, with its rising crime rates and attractive compensation programs, where else is a graduate superhero to go but Emerald City?
  • Secret Identity: Blake Belladonna
    • Cover: An english lit student who works part-time at a bookstore on the waterfront. Blake is her real name, but Belladonna is a pseudonym. It was easy for her to slip comfortably into the city's hero identity protection program considering she had already been in witness protection during her time at Beacon.
  • Skills:
    • Hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship.
    • Lockpicking, stealth, and other general infiltration skills.
    • First aid and CPR, rescue training.
  • Powers:
    • Blake can generate and control what she calls "shadow" - a supernatural vapor-like substance that absorbs light.
    • She can create solid objects out of shadow. She most often uses this to create melee weapons (swords, staffs, spears, chains), but other small, simple objects are also possible. These objects evaporate a few seconds after they leave contact with her skin.
    • She can also create shadow clones - copies of herself that act under her mental control, formed out of the same black vapor. These clones are solid, but will evaporate after one or two good hits, or if they move more than ~30 meters away from her. The more she makes, the harder they are to control - two or three are practical in a fight, while if she sat still and concentrated on nothing else she could make seven or eight.
    • She can also cloak herself in shadow, making her harder to see in low light and giving her a small degree of ablative armour. This has the added benefit of making her look like one of her own clones.
    • She has excellent low-light vision and good hearing. She is physically fit and has a natural sense of balance.
  • Equipment: A utility belt containing useful items such as zip-cuffs, a small first aid kit, her phone and a compact pistol.
  • Holdings: A small downtown apartment provided by the city.
  • Notoriety: 5. Not fully comfortable with the bright limelight of the superhero stage, she maintains something of a low profile in her heroics, often working at night and eschewing the publicity branding and social media presence many modern heroes adopt. However, she has a core of fans and followers thanks to some televised training events held at Beacon, and she's still an active hero in a superhero city.
    • As Shadow Fang, she kept even further under the radar, only seeing a bit of publicity when an expose on the New Lords labelled her "one of the group's youngest and most mysterious members". Since this persona hasn't been active in several years, its notoriety has dropped to about a 2.

...Eh, why not? Just started a fortnight of holiday, got a whole lot of time on my hands, so let's see how long I can keep myself in the game. With that said, oooooh FREAK OUT!

  • Name: Freakazoid!
  • Age: 19
  • Appearance: The two selves, side by side.
  • Personality:
    • Dexter Douglas is your typical picture of a nerd computer ace. Awkward, introverted, never more comfortable anywhere other than in front of a screen in the comfort of his own bedroom. His mind boggling knowledge of electronics from before he was born has kept his academic career in bloom, but he'd freely admit that everything else in his life was down to sheer luck, up to and including his love life. Mostly he'd like nothing more than to finish his degree and live a simple life, but that's a far off goal considering the annoying roommate in his very own skull...
    • Freakazoid! The living embodiment of 'LOL internet'. An excitable bundle of childlike wonder and archaic tv show references. Whenever let loose, Freakazoid zips from one amusing distraction to the next, and when there's nothing to anchor his short attention span, he'll gladly fill the air with mindless rants and random idiocy of his own making. Still, Freak' does wholeheartedly care about his friends and the people he protects, and when things get serious, he'll pull out all the stops to save the day, even if it's in a less than conventional way.
  • Backstory:
    • Dexter Douglas lived in Washington DC, raised on TV shows from long before his time, and in spite of his aptitude for technology, the kid was something of a born loser. It's one thing to be a tech geek picked on by the local jock and given the brush-off from every girl you asked out, but it's another thing when said local jock is your own big brother, and your hopelessly oblivious parents don't lift a finger to stop the roughhousing. The main source of comfort in his life was his state-of-the-art personal computer, provided by the great minds at Apex inc. You can imagine how excited he was at the age of 16, when on Christmas Day, the corporation released the operating system upgrade to end them all: the OS Pinnacle.
    • However, unbeknownst to the public, the Pinnacle patch had a major glitch, which combined with the incredible technology of an Apex computer to create a computer flaw like nothing on earth. To activate it, one would have to access the internet, and then enter a precise sequence of keys, followed by Delete. The odds were 450,000,000 to 1, and yet, when Dexter's pet cat walked over the keyboard, the sequence was entered perfectly, and in trying to erase the text, Dexter hit the key that would change his life forever. The computer overloaded, the glass monitor became a shimmering portal, and Dexter was sucked straight into cyberspace itself. A bewildering journey through a realm of jumbled sights and sounds ended when Dexter hit a nexus point of digital information. His body was charged with incredible energy, and his brain bombarded with all the information on the internet. Unable to cope with the unexpected shock and the sheer amount of information, Dexter's mind processed only the memeist input, and created a split personality to house the nuttiness and operate the new inhuman abilities. At that moment, Freakazoid was born.
    • Spat back out into reality, Dexter struggled to cope with this weirdo he now shared his body with. Fortunately, he was met by Roddy MacStew, the ill-tempered Scottish programmer who worked on the Pinnacle patch, and both he and his new self gained a mentor in mastering their powers. That day, Freakazoid faced his first villain, Apex CEO Armando Gutierrez, and made a friend on the force in the form of Sergeant Mike Cosgrove. It was Cosgrove who first persuaded Freakazoid to become a crime fighter, and fight crime he did. Freakazoid gained a degree of fame as a superhero, battling an array of colourful super villains along the way. He even saved the White House from an 800 megaton nuclear warhead, which should have made him a household name. However, mere moments later, he absentmindedly demonstrated how to reactivate the missile, and narrowly managed to turn it back off again in time. No one was harmed, but any non-live news report made sure to limit his screen time and downplay his contribution, and his reputation outside of DC never recovered. Still, Freak' was rewarded a generous sum of money by the government in a very private affair, and he even got his own TV series...a short-lived TV series.
    • Gradually, things started to wind down for the red underwear man. Much of his rogue's gallery was either reformed or incarcerated, while Gutierrez was starting to get favoured by the newest president, so it was clearly time to up stakes and head to pastures new. Dexter was done with school at last, and looking forward to getting a degree in Computer Science. However, the New Vigilante Support Bill came to the world's attention, along with several disturbing crime stories from Emerald City, and by and by, Dexter found it harder to resist the excitable voice at the back of his mind. So off he went, to the opposite end of the country, to get his degree in a very different Washington.
  • Secret Identity: Dexter Douglas, natch.
    • Cover: For the past year at Emerald University, Dexter's been doing his best to quietly get on with his studies, only letting Freakazoid out to play when absolutely necessary. Freakazoid, for his part, has been having a whale of a time kicking bad guy butt like in the good old days. That is, when he isn't spending quality time with retired sergeant Cosgrove, or zooming back across America to visit his girlfriend Steff.
  • Skills: On his own, Dexter is an an avid student of computer sciences, doing particularly well in his Computers for Math and Science course. To give you an idea of his data literacy, he likes to pass time by reading funny stories in binary, and reviews actuarial tables to plan for his retirement. It's entirely possible that Freakazoid could access this same knowledge, but it's all buried very far down under a metric ton of silliness.
  • Powers: While Dexter Douglas is about as powerful as a bottle of hay, he can change into Freakazoid at any time to become capable of doing just about anything. All he has to do is say "Freak out" to transform, and then trust that Freakazoid will eventually say "Freak in" to change back to normal.
    • Speed: First and foremost, Freakazoid can move at tarmac-scorching speeds, in a state so electrically charged he all but resembles a lightning bolt. While this makes getting across the continent a breeze, and would probably help a lot in combat situations, he doesn't always think to use this power, and often runs around at normal speed with his arms up while making whooshing noises.
    • Strength: While his speed can be astonishing, Freakazoid's strength is merely impressive. On a typical day, he can lift an average man above his head, but in the past he's been known to outmatch opponents twice his size.
    • Telekinesis: Through intense training in the last months of his early career, Freakazoid has unlocked the ability to lift large objects with his mind. However, this power only manifests when he is very frustrated, so the happy-go-lucky hero hasn't been known to use this power often.
    • Limited Cartoon Physics: While not quite as squash-and-stretchy as Looney Tunes of yore, Freakazoid is physically malleable enough to withstand virtually any punishment, even if he still takes on pain, and the occasional concussion.
    • Fourth Wall Awareness: Freakazoid, and others affected by the Pinnacle patch, are able to perceive the true nature of their reality. This didn't raise so many eyebrows when Freakazoid was the star of his own in-universe tv show, and took regular breaks from the action to talk to the camera, but since it could get a little confusing/disturbing outside of that context, Freakazoid usually tries to keep it a secret from most of his friends and family. At any rate, his breakages mostly relate to his own perspective in the universe, so he's very unlikely to reference the works of other players (unless specifically discussed OOC).
    • Weaknesses: Like most classic superheroes and vampires, Freakazoid has a couple of ultra-specific weaknesses. For one thing, he can be trapped in a cage of graphite bars charged with negative irons. For another thing, he really, really hates the smell of 'poo gas', so he's less likely to follow a fleeing criminal into the sewers.
  • Equipment: While he's not known to rely on gadgets and gizmos, Freakazoid has kept hold of a couple of noteworthy tech pieces over the years. Firstly, the original computer with the Pinnacle patch installed, because having a functioning portal into cyberspace comes in handy more often than you'd think. Second of all, and something that Freakazoid is particularly proud of, is the Freakmobile. While was Freakazoid starring on his own show, the executives mandated this automobile stuffed to the brim with fully functioning gadgets, for toyetic purposes. The car can convert into a plane, as it contains a jet pod fuelled by Freakazoid's own energy. However, it cannot function well underwater. Other gadgets include a giant gloved hand for grabbing, a boot on a rotating axis for booting nuisances, a catapult for flinging enemies, a buzz saw, a giant magnet, and, if Freakazoid is feeling very sadistic, a TV playing seven hours of Tony Danza. In hindsight, the cost for the car alone might have been the reason the show didn't outlast two seasons. Still, the studio was kind enough to let Freakazoid keep it.
  • Holdings: Before making the move to Emerald University, Freakazoid pulled a couple of strings to get the dean to agree to a very unorthodox extension of the campus. Now, after a year in production, a secret Freak-a-Fall rollercoaster ride has been installed in the Ruegger residence hall, leading into an underground cavern now converted into... The Freakalair! This underground domain, ringed with elevated tracks, cost every cent Freakazoid earned from saving the White House and his TV revenue, yet had to be pared down significantly from his original vision. In its current form, the Freakalair is decorated with such items as a snow cone machine, a carousel, a giant lava lamp, and the original RAD Magazine blimp, with rooms for a private cinema screen, a garage for the Freakmobile, a mad science laboratory, a memorabilia room of past sidekicks, and a Hall of Nifty Things to Know. The place is kept in order by a snooty butler named Professor Jones, and given that Freakazoid spent all his money on putting the place up to begin with, the Professor makes his wage from opening the Hall of Nifty Things to Know as a tourist attraction to the public. The lair can be accessed through a network of underground tunnels, one of which is used for the tourists, while the rest are mainly exit points for the Freakmobile.
  • Notoriety: 7-8. He's popular in a number of state institutions, apparently.

Name: Experiment 626

Work of Origin: Lilo and Stitch

Age: Unknown (likely less than 1 Earth year)

Appearance: "Meega, nala kweesta!"

Personality: Curious and mischievous, 626 tends to view the world around him with a single question in his mind: "how can I break this?" Driven by his sole instinct to destroy everything around him, 626 scurries to the most heavily-populated areas he can find in order to spread chaos to as many people (and on as many scales) as possible:

He will total your car.

He will take a bite out of your flat screen television.

He will steal your left shoe.

Yet despite his programming to destroy, 626 makes an effort to avoid killing people. Not only is murder not what he was created to do, he finds the act counterproductive; if people are dead, then they can't flee in terror of his unstoppable carnage! This distaste for death might lead 626 to commit the occasional heroic deed of saving someone from an explosion or a fatal fall, only for him to try to scare them as soon as their lives aren't in danger.

626 needs to destroy to fulfill his purpose, so he's placed in a fragile mental state when he's forced in a position where he can't destroy anything. In this state, he's docile, frightened, and desperate for something he can neither name or understand. Moments like these will determine what 626 becomes later in the game: a hero, or a villain.

I'm specifically bringing 626 (NOT Stitch) into this game to pair him with a "mentor" of sorts; someone to teach this very malleable alien koala their values and to give 626 a sense of belonging. Ideally, this mentor will be a character with a very clear position on the morality slide: super heroes, or super villains. Characters with nascent consciences, nuance-heavy ethics, or largely expressionless personalities won't be a good fit.

Backstory: The latest and greatest creation of (Eeeeeeeeeeevil Geeneeus!) Jumba Jookiba, Experiment 626 was captured by the authorities soon after his birth. After convincing the judge that there was truly no goodness in him, 626 was sentenced to exile on an isolated asteroid in deep space. However, before his banishment, 626 escaped Federation custody and hijacked a police cruiser. After activating the warp drive and flying to a backwater planet called EEARRTH, 626 found his ship losing power as it broke through the atmosphere. He crash-landed on the continental United States, about 100 miles from Emerald City.

Since his stranding a month ago, 626 has followed his programming and discovered the closest urban environment, along with another fact about the area: it looooooooves to rain around here! Since the abundance of water irritates and disorients 626, his opportunities to vandalize the city of superheroes have been...less than abundant. He has established a makeshift base of operations in a dump outside the city, where he often takes shelter on rainy days or when one of those annoying superheroes tries to capture him.

Secret Identity: None.

Skills: Jumba claims that (among other things) 626 can "think faster than a super computer." While the evidence behind this claim is rather lacking, it's clear that 626 is a clever and resourceful creature, and is a very fast learner. At the start of this RP, 626 will be able to:

  • Speak and comprehend alien languages, as well as know a handful of English

  • Use Galactic Federation weaponry with expert precision, specifically the four plasma guns he stole during his escape

  • Create rudimentary (yet well-hidden) traps scattered throughout the Emerald City dump, which he has installed as a defensive measure

Powers: Here's where 626 gets a little crazy. On top of the "thinks faster than supercomputer" brag, Jumba also states that his prized creation can perform all sorts of superhuman feats. These abilities include:

  • Super senses, especially sight and hearing. 626 can see in the dark, and hear a whisper a hundred feet away. An important note is that superhuman senses are a double-edged sword, and it's possible to overload 626's sensitive eyes and ears.

  • Durability to both fire and bullets (Jumba says "bullet proof and fire proof" but that seems a bit much), which also gives him a very limited resistance to his own plasma weapons. Out of sheer necessity, 626 also has a great deal of physical durability; you won't be a creature of destruction for very long if you get squished by the car you toss in the air. None of this comes close to Superman levels of durability, and powerful impacts have been known to knock the little guy out.

  • Super strength. Jumba says 626 "can move objects 3,000 times his size," which is just plain nuts. I'm gonna shrink that waaaaaaaaay down to 30 times his size (he's only about a foot tall, anyway) and am willing to lower it further. He's not dead-lifting the Space Needle.

  • Insect-like agility. Using his 6 limbs, 626 can scurry across walls and ceilings with ease. His size also allows him to access tight spaces like air vents.

  • Physiological abnormalities that range from the slightly-off to the just plain weird. These traits include the color of 626's blood being pink, his ability to extend and retract his limbs, antennae, and quills, and an impressive feat in flexibility where he can curl himself up, tuck his feet into his mouth, and roll around in a ball. These abilities take a few seconds to execute, and it's unlikely that rolling on the ground provides much speed; less Sonic, more Samus.

  • Crippling weakness to water. 626's molecular makeup makes him sink like a rock in water, and unfortunately for him, Jumba didn't think to give him gills as an adaptation. This vulnerability to water also means that 626 is disoriented by the rain, which has hindered his endeavors to destroy Emerald City.

Equipment: At the start of this game, the only equipment 626 will have at his disposal are his prison garb and his 4 plasma guns. He'd likely keep 2 of them on his person while he's out and about in Emerald City, and keep 2 back in the dump as the business end of a trap. The equipment in the police cruiser has been marked off as either too cumbersome to carry or damaged beyond repair.

Holdings: 626 lives in the Emerald City dump, outside the urban areas. He has constructed a little hovel for himself amid a massive pile of trash, along with a series of hidden tunnels to provide an easy escape in case of emergencies. There are also a number of booby traps throughout the dump, placed in areas where the human employees either can't or have no reason to tread.

Needless to say, 626's neighborhood stinks, and he doesn't exactly smell like flowers. :P

Notoriety: 1, for now. Apart from a few comments about a large rodent scurrying through the dump, 626 hasn't been noticed. Considering what he wants to do, that notoriety's going to skyrocket starting at the first post.

Now that my RL schedule(mainly due to college calming down) has been fixed, I think I can slowly get back into AGOG. May as well join this. So have Werewolf/Chimera cyborg Punisher at ya.

  • Name:
    • Superhero Name:The Howler
    • Non-Hero name:Warwick. His actual name has been forgotten by him due to his amnesia.
  • Work of Origin:League of Legends
  • Age:Unknown, possibly in his late 40's
  • Appearance:"It takes a monster to gut one."
  • Personality:Despite looking as a teriffying beast, the human that Warwick was once still remains in him. The memories of his past life are a blur to him but he deeply regrets not remembering them or even what was his real name. Despite this, and the fact he is terrifying beast, he trys to make up for his past crimes as a criminal in Capitol Hill and Ironhouse District by becoming a brutal vigilante, targeting the worst of the worst and slaughtering them, to make them pay for the blood they spilled...and to satisfy his lust for blood. He trys to make sure that there are no civilians involved in his hunting grounds, won't harm them despite the fact most of them are terrified of his appearance, and if any superhero would try to stop him, he would attempt to not kill them and knock them out non lethally despite his instincts telling him to do it.....but if he's consumed by his bloodlust, his ideals of not hurting good people will be overwritten by his desire for blood.
  • Backstory: The detailed past of Warwick's former life is a blur to him, but the most he could remember was that he used to be a former criminal who lived in the Ironhouse District of Emerald City. Despite the fact that his life of crime was the only thing that kept him from being homeless and with no money, he was slowly regretting the things he was doing, along with the fact that he was sent to prison for 6 months, and then was freed under probation. He decided to leave the life he had before and try to live peacefully as a normal citizen, along with checking in with his probation officer regularily. Unfortunately for him, his criminal record, along with the fact he lived in the poorer parts of Emerald City made Warwick's life a hardship despite the fact he was turning a new leaf. He was slowly and surely about to become homeless. Despite temptations of returning to his past life, he didn't wanted to return to the same things he used to do.

    • Eventually, he was met by a strange man wearing a labcoat and with bandages covering his mouth. The scientist told him he could save him of his situation if he did some "tests" for him. Desperate to find a way to not end up homeless and living on the streets, he accepted his offer without thinking of the consequences...and not realizing the horrible fate that he would suffer for the rest of his life. The last thing he remembered about the conversation was the man suddenly and quickly pulling out a syringe and injecting it to him, knocking him out immediately. As he woke up, he found his world a haze of pain and even struggled to remember a time before the suffering began, as he found himself strapped to the table and the scientist's face looming over him. The scientist patiently carved into him, installing prototype technology into him, but it was just not to "test" his technology. He would reveal his subject's true nature - the deadly beast hidden within a 'good man'. The scientist not only intended to install prototype technology to test him, but also splicing his genes with various animals, mainly those being wolves, bats and foxes, with wolves being the dominant gene. He was forced to endure it all, every cut of the mad scientist's scalpel. Restrained against the cold steel of the table, Warwick writhed in agony for hours on end, until his body finally gave out. With the untimely death of his subject, the scientist disposed of the corpse in the sewers of Emerald City, before turning his mind to the next experiment.

    • But death proved to be the true catalyst needed for Warwick's transformation. As he floated over the dirty water, the chemicals could finally complete their work. His body contorted unnaturally, bones bending and snapping, teeth growing, sinews tearing and then healing with a faint alchemical glow, dead flesh replaced by something new and powerful. By the time his heart started beating once again, the man Warwick had been and the lives he'd lived were gone. He awoke to hunger. Everything hurt. Only one thing mattered. He needed blood. He'd left so many scars that even if he didn't remember his past, the city would. When he peered into the eyes of Emerald City's criminals - the gang bosses, murderers, and thieves - he saw himself. Trying to control his beastly insticts, and remembering the news of how many superheroes saved the lives of countless innocents, he decided to make up for the wrongdoings he has done in his life by hunting down those already covered in the stench of blood so they couldn't spill the blood of innocents. He doesn't care about the fact that the New Vigilante Support Bill won't support him due to the fact he slaughters mercilessly the criminals. Criminals, Supervillains, Terrorists. As long as blood spills from their neck and the innocent are safe, he will be satisfied. Despite this though, he is haunted by the image of a small girl. He didn't know who she was or why was he remembering that, but when the image comes to his mind he feels...regret.
  • Secret Identity:None. It's a little bit hard to keep a secret identity when you're a terrifying chimeric cyborg creature.
  • Skills:Mainly his tracking/ hunting skills, which are heavily amplified thanks to his superhuman senses due to his transformation. While he also has skills in combat, it mainly consist of brute forcing his way through everything and cutting everything apart.
  • Powers:
    • Minor Regeneration:Due to his transformation, Warwick can regenerate from wounds slightly more faster than a normal person would. Despite this though, it doesn't mean that he can reattach lost limbs or revive from a headshot, as it merely helps him heal from wounds from battle in a few days instead of weeks.
    • Superhuman Senses: His senses are far much superior than the normal people thanks to his transformation, able to pick up smells from other people that would be hard to notice, hear sounds and voices from far away thanks to his large ears, and be able to track a person from kilometers away due to them cutting themselves and spilling a small amount of blood.
    • Superhuman Strenght, Agility and Durability: The transformation benefit positively Warwick, as his transformation gives him enough physical strenght to overpower a normal human and maul them, though superhuman can stay even with him. He can take far much punishment than a normal human, being able to resist blunt trauma and exert his body, though bullets and other magical means still hurts him the same as a normal person. His speed is also far much superior than a normal human, being able to react faster than a normal person would and being able to outrun olympic athletes while running in all fours.
    • Bloodlust:A strenght and a weakness at the same time, Warwick's transformation into a chimera gave him a unending thirst for blood to satiate his hunger. If someone were to spill large amounts of blood near him, he would immediately go into a frenzy, the telltale sign of this would be shown by the large machine implanted on his back glowing red, along his eyes changing from green to blood red.. While this has the pros of greatly increasing his physical strenght, and his already impressive agility making him even faster, and track his wounded prey easily, it has the cons of making him lose all rational thoughts, leaving a bloodthirsty beast in it's path, indiscriminately killing friend or foe. The only way to return him back to his senses would be to knock him out, inflict enough damage to him to return to his senses, have him kill his targets, or wait for him to return back to his senses after enough time has passed.
  • Equipment:
    • Augmented Claw The unknown scientist experiments by adding prosthetic parts to his right arm has made his sharp claws which can cut through flesh deadlier, as they are not only dangerous to flesh, they also are able to cut through weak metals.
  • Holdings:He lives and sleeps in a abandoned factory in Ironhouse District.
  • Notoriety:5-6. He's mainly known and recognized by the criminal underworld of Emerald City due to his brutal killings and slaughters he causes to them, along with them fact he keeps hunting them down brutallly, causing them to give him his "superhero" name of the Howler. While there hasn't been many civilians from the upper parts of Emerald City who has seen him in person, they have heard of his "punishments" and videos and photos of his "hunts" corpses has been leaked to the internet, causing people to wonder what kind of superhero would brutally murder criminals, even if they deserve it.

  • Name: Hudiemon
  • Work of Origin: Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory
  • Age: 15
  • Appearance: Erika and Hudiemon
  • Personality: A shut-in by nature, Erika has a hard time opening up to anyone. She is quick to criticize and assume the worst of people. Despite her harsh nature, she can occasionally be nice to anyone who puts up with her for long enough, and will get pretty embarrassed if that gets pointed out. She has a fairly strong sense of justice in spite of her profession as a freelance hacker. She will accept most jobs so long as no one gets hurt, but if she thinks a person is trying to use her to hurt others she will turn her skills around on them. She won't ever say it, but deep down she is incredibly lonely now that her family is gone.
  • Backstory: The young daughter of a family of four, from a very young age Erika really looked up to her older brother. She would get into whatever it was Ryuji would, which included his forays into hacking. He was a natural at it, and she was not far behind him in skill. That was until the car accident that cost the two of them their parents and severely injured Erika.
    • As a result of the accident, the two of them were on their own and Erika was left with a unique form of brain damage. Her mind was no longer able to effectively store memories and information. This meant her mind would effectively overheat and stress its self to the point of debilitating migraines. Needless to say, Ryuji was desperate to do anything for his sister. Thats when they were approached about a highly experimental treatment. A local Emerald City lab was working on a highly detailed virtual reality called EDEN. EDEN was exceptional in that it allowed a person's consciousness to leave their body and enter a sort of cyberspace that seemed indistinguishable from reality to the user. What EDEN could do for Erika was always be connected to it and download copies of her memories to a server in the cyberspace. It would effectively offload excess information and reduce the stress on her mind.
    • With very few options, the siblings agreed to try it. Initially, the method worked perfectly. Erika would periodically have to go to the lab to connect to the server, but she wasn't at risk of having her brain fry its self anymore. While she was in the cyberspace of EDEN, she learned a lot more on how to effectively program, further increasing her skills as a hacker. One day, she met an odd creature inside of EDEN. It called its self Wormmon, a digital monster. It claimed to come from a digital world, one that was somehow becoming connected to EDEN.
    • Erika agreed to investigate and find a way to send Wormmon home, mostly because she felt sorry for the scared little thing. She found what seemed like a tear in the graphics that clearly didn't belong. When she approached though, something reached out from it and grabbed her avatar. In that moment she tried to disconnect, but when she did the thing followed her through the connection. In the real world, a tear opened up in space and poured out a mysterious energy that nearly destroyed the lab. When Erika came to, her brother had disappeared and she had somehow become partially digital. Everything that was there in EDEN had fused with her, including Wormmon. Now effectively alone, Erika spends her days trying to find any information she can on what happened and where her brother went.
  • Secret Identity: Erika Mishima
    • Cover: Erika is a shut-in hacker in the back of the internet cafe "Dreaming Butterfly". She spends her time as a freelance hacker that will take on any sort of job that gets posted to her message board. She has been known to regularly do work for the local police and occasional federal jobs.
  • Skills:
    • Hacking: Due to both her experience in EDEN and her digital nature, Erika has become a genius at hacking. She can make almost any computer dance to her tune within moments of encountering it. There are not many security measures that she can't get past.
  • Powers:
    • Digital Nature: Erika exists in an interesting state of being. She is both physical and digital at the same time, and gains some benefits because of it. She is able to directly interface with anything that has a CPU. As a digital being, she can fully upload her body to a terminal and travel along connections, allowing her to move from computer to computer so long as they are connected.
    • Hudiemon: Hudiemon is an alternate form Erika can take, changing her code to be closer to that of a digimon like Wormmon. This form gives her enhanced physical capabilities and durability. Her large wings allow her to fly, though only a little faster than running. Her major ability in this form is to spread the scales of her wings with powerful flaps. Her scales can do two things when they come into contact with a person or creature. If it is something she views as an enemy, the scales will be painful to the touch and if a sufficient area of their body is covered it could cause paralysis. To those she views as allies, the scales can soothe pain, provide a slight amount of healing, and energize them if any exhaustion had set in.
  • Equipment: Erika has appears to be two stuffed whales with her at all times. The smaller one is named Toto, which sits on her shoulder. In reality it is an advanced holographic display, able to project multiple screens in front of her when activated. The larger whale is named Memetan, and it is really an interface for her. It projects a holographic keyboard that she can use to interface with anything she can connect to.
  • Holdings: Erika owns an internet/gaming cafe named the "Dreaming Butterfly" through a proxy. Everyone who works there thinks shes the daughter of the real owner, who is a rarely seen eccentric with holdings all over and thus never around. Erika pretty much lives in a room in the back of the cafe marked VIP.
  • Notoriety: 5 with Erika most likely being the more well known of her personas due to her past work with law enforcement on the digital front.

  • Name: Joseph Seed, The Father.
  • Work of Origin: Far Cry 5
  • Age: 44
  • 'Appearance: "I am your father."
  • 'Personality: Befitting his title, Joseph Seed is a devoutly religious and paternalistic man. Considering himself God's chosen savior, Joseph Seed holds himself responsible for humanity and for each and every human, as they can only be saved through his work. While he is deeply empathetic and more than happy to bring new people into his family, he is resentful of those who refuse to heed his word. As a self-styled priest, Joseph prefers words to violence and is slow to anger, though he's not afraid of letting his followers bloody their hands in his stead.
  • Backstory:
    • Joseph Seed was born and raised in a poor neighborhood in Rome, Georgia, the middle child of his siblings. His early life was fraught with abuse, as he was beaten by his parents and enslaved in the foster care system. One day as a child, Joseph heard the voice of God, commanding him to save as many souls as possible from the "punishment" that would be enacted upon the world, and he continued to hear the Voice speak to him several more times. Joseph rescued his older brother from his fate and started the Project at Eden's Gate so he could prepare as many people as possible from the collapse of society. The Project at Eden's Gate has settled in Emerald City in recent years, taking home in the "Jungle" east of the Meeker Way suburbs, though Joseph hopes to find a way to make his church officially recognized.
  • Secret Identity: N/A
  • Skills: Joseph Seed is an average, but rather charismatic man. The Project at Eden's Gate was assembled purely by his own design.
  • Powers: Joseph is supposedly just an average human, but he's expressed hearing a prophetic voice in his head, and has survived multiple catastrophic accidents with nary a scratch. He may very well have God looking out for him.
  • Equipment:
    • The Book of Joseph: This bible was handwritten by Joseph Seed himself, containing his life story and the origins of his movement. It is one of his most prized possessions.
  • Holdings:

    • John Duncan, The Inquisitor: John Duncan (born Seed) was raised in a poor neighborhood in Rome, Georgia, the youngest child of his siblings. Once a friendly youth, John was physically beaten by his father, and became psychologically tortured by his foster family. These abuses taught John how to present himself to the masses, and gave him a deep sadomasochistic bent. Using his skills at deception, John graduated at the top of his class and became an acclaimed real estate attorney in Georgia. John Duncan currently lives in Atlanta, but he maintains loose connections with Joseph Seed.
    • Jacob Seed, The Wolf: Jacob was born and raised in a poor neighborhood in Rome, Georgia, the oldest child of his siblings. When he was of age, Jacob joined the Army 82nd Airborne Division, serving several tours on the front lines of Iraq and Afghanistan. Near the end of his tour, Jacob and his best friend were separated from their unit. Stranded out in the desert, Jacob was forced to kill and cannibalize his partner to survive. The experience landed Jacob in a military hospital as he was now unfit for service, but he quickly ran out of money and was forced onto the streets where Joseph found him. Jacob was enlisted by Joseph to serve as the chief of security for the Project. He tends to carry an anti-materiel rifle with a red paintjob.
    • Faith Seed, The Siren: Faith, formerly known as Rachel Jessop, was born in Hope County, Montana. Rachel was ostracized by her community at a young age, and abused by her parents. Without any friends to turn to, she resorted to drug use as an escape, moving to Emerald City in search of cheap opiates. The young Rachel was quickly discovered by Joseph Seed after he settled in Emerald City, and he adopted her as his sister, Faith Seed. Faith's role within the Project is to retain Joseph's existing followers, produce the drug known as Bliss, and to manipulate any outside forces into submission. She is wanted by the ECPD for suspected drug dealing, and is rumored to have the ability to create illusions (though the several witnesses who claimed she had magic powers were already under the influence of hallucinogenics).
    • Project At Eden's Gate: Joseph Seed's largely unrecognized Christian denomination was founded in Rome, Georgia. The overwhelming majority of its members are regular people from northwestern Georgia, but Joseph has recruited a few people native to Emerald City as well. Joseph's congregation has about 50 members total. The Project At Eden's Gate are involved in drug dealing and squatting, but they are not particularly violent.
    • The Jungle: This greenbelt east of Meeker Way is home to a large homeless encampment. Joseph Seed has built a makeshift church here, providing sermon, food, and aid to the usual residents.
    • The Bliss: This drug is created from a mutated strain of moonflower. As it is processed into a liquid, the Bliss can be used as a powerful hallucinogenic and psychedelic agent, and as such, the Project has been known to sell Bliss for profit. Overdosing on or withdrawing from Bliss can cause death.
  • Notoriety: 5. Joseph Seed is fairly infamous in police circles for his activities in the Jungle, but he is not considered to be a violent criminal.

He's merciless to his enemies and will stop at nothing to make sure they're broken. Other that, he's affable to his colleagues. There's one thing he wants the most: an end to his immortal life. He doesn't want to go out with fizzle, though. Instead, he wants to go out with a bang.

  • Name: Reinhardt Wilhelm, the Iron Crusader

  • Work of Origin: Overwatch

  • Age: 61

  • Appearance: Retirement? What's that? Precision german engineering.

  • Personality:

    • A large ham, notoriously stubborn and true defender at heart, Reinhardt can be best described as a modern-day paladin. Whenever there's crime or injustice being committed at his vicinity, he is not afraid to to enter the fray without a second thought, ready to fulfill his duty as a shield to the innocent.

    • Though he might come across as an optimistic jolly good old man to be around with, he is by no means hopelessly naive, having lived through his own set of troubles during his decades long service. Indeed, his more boisterous nature is both natural and tempered with the wisdom of age, understanding the need to be both a defender and an unrelenting symbol of hope to the people.

    • Even with his body having long since passed its prime, his spirit of maintaining the chivalric values of his knightly order of his past still burns on. He may be too old for this. He may even be a hindrance for all he knows. But to hell if he's gonna stand idly by while there's still people to defend and cities to protect so long as he draws breath!

  • Backstory:

    • Reinhardt was once part of the Crusaders, a government-sanctioned paramilitary organization based in Germany and stylized after the knightly orders of old; clad in power armor and acting as the bulwark of justice against outside threats. In his youth, he was a brash and an avid glory-seeker, though an incident which took the life of his friend and the subsequent years had humbled him to take on a more supportive role, acting in the best interest of others rather than himself.

    • Later on, he was invited to a peacekeeping initiative called Overwatch, where select professionals, talents and heroes from around the globe are called and gathered together to combat the ever-increasing number of threats that had appeared in conjunction with the sudden explosion of supers, robots, aliens and other unknowns yet to be discovered. Seeing that he could more good there, he answered the call and had since been the stalwart defender for decades; sticking in where the conflict is at its thickest and becoming a living shield to the innocent.

    • Unfortunately, it was not to last. Being forcefully retired at his late fifties, the organization that he'd come to see as his own family was slowly faced with countless scandals, corruption and internal strife before finally being disbanded under its own weight. But he was not deterred still as he toured around Europe like a wandering knight of yore, helping those in need and dispensing justice whenever crime erupts near him.

    • When word came of Emerald City being in dire need of superheroes, he unsurprisingly answered the call and came forth, donning his armor and hammer once more.

  • Secret Identity: None. Though he technically has one, his identity is all but an open secret after his (unwilling) retirement and dissolution of the Overwatch organization.

  • Skills: Though way past his prime, the man is physically fit to a T, a requirement when one wishes to operate his trademark Crusader armor. Unarmed, he could reasonably hold his own against a group of armed street hooligans, though anything serious than that would spell trouble for him(even if he wouldn't yield easily). Also has some know-how on maintaining his suit, albeit with some help from a daughter of his friend.

  • Powers: Barring being all-out hammy and a strong sense of justice, none to speak of.

  • Equipment:
    • Crusader Armor: A heavy suit of powered armor that he carried whenever he's out into the field. Built like a tank and durable to boot, this old armor of his can withstand several small arms fire and concentrated gunfire for a short moment before it begins to suffer from dents and serious damage. Though too heavy and cumbersome to move with any respectable speed even with his great strength, this weakness of his could be overcome shortly by utilizing the rocket boosters in-built behind his suit to give him a temporary burst of speed for a short moment towards his target. And as if to make the powered-armored knight even more tanky than he already is, it comes with one of his trademark ability:

    • Barrier Field Generator: His bulwark shield, so to speak. In-built on Reinhardt's left wrist, upon activation the Crusader would erect a large frontal energy barrier(about 6 meters wide and 4 meters high) capable of withstanding against extreme heavy fire while allowing his allies to shoot from the relative safety behind his cover. That being said, it is not invincible as sustained heavy fire non-stop or a couple of strikes the equivalent to that of an RPG missile is enough to break it; needing to be recharged back for less than a minute or so before it can be utilized yet again at the frontlines.

    • Rocket Hammer: His signature weapon, a heavy modern day two-handed warhammer with rocket boosters included. In addition to whacking anyone brave enough to face him in close combat, he could also boosts the hammer to make his whacking go faster and with more force, charged it up to deliver a fire blast at his opponent or supercharge it before slamming it down at the ground hard enough to cause a shockwave in front of him(thereby damaging those within the affected area and making them lose their footing)

  • Holdings:
    • Would really have settled just for a simple apartment room and a working garage for his armor maintenance, but due to him being, well, well-known, he was instead being given a dank suite in a high-class condominium and his own private workshop(not that he's complaining, of course). Also has a truck.

    • Brigitte, the daughter of a friend whom had asked to be his squire in his travel as a knight errant, to which Reinhardt accepted. Has since been his trusty mechanic and good friend... though with how often she looks after and worries over him, she's more of his personal nanny than an apprentice.

  • Notoriety: A solid 9. Let's see. Former member of a famed organization known to take on supers? Check. Boisterous and larger-than-life persona that makes him popular among the masses? Double check. Renewed public interest in him after years of inactivity and seemingly coming out of his retirement to assist Emerald City in its time of need? Check and check.

Sure, let's give it a go.

  • Name: Kazuma Kiryu
  • Work of Origin: Ryu Ga Gotoku
  • Age: 52
  • Appearance: One helping of punks later. A shot of his dragon tattoo.
  • Personality: A fearsome force to his enemies, but just about the sweetest guy to his friends. Despite his stern and stoic outlook, the man's more than willing to extend a hand to those in need and seems to be a natural in making friends and good acquaintances just from his well-meaning approach. Could be considered a real-life example of a romanticized old-school yakuza; the kind that protects the weak, upholds deals with no strings attached, and keeps the order. Is willing to see the best in people, even those that he has to beat the shit out of to bring them from the brink. Firm about his belief of not killing a man (even if it may not look like it). Has a minor penchant for doing things in an overly dramatic manner. And if you do piss him off, well, expect to be beaten within an inch of your life.
  • Backstory: The Japanese underworld has seen its fair share of legendary figures, but none are quite as notable in recent history as Kazuma Kiryu, The Dragon of Dojima. Over the course of well over twenty years, he's battled Tojo Clan - his parent clan, strong even despite its threatened position by the emergence of supers - as often as he aided it, taking down those who went out of line of what being a yakuza really meant or personally slighted him (or both). Truth be told, this legendary Yakuza cast aside the criminal life shortly after becoming the Fourth Chairman of the Tojo Clan - but the criminal life always found him and forced him to return to set things straight.
    • The last of his endeavors proved to be too much for the ruling class of Japan, and so Kiryu was forced to take a one-way-ticket out of his homeland to try and start fresh, allowed only limited contact with those he considers family. Emerald City seemed like a perfect place to start anew. He's been living here for four years now under the unassuming guise of Mr. Arata Hajimari, a mild-mannered repairman from overseas.
  • Secret Identity: Arata Hajimari
    • Cover: A retired salaryman from bustling Tokyo that left for what seemed like greener pastures. With no family to speak of. Chiefly works as a Mr. Fixit, but has been doing a number of other minor jobs for those that needed help, sometimes even free of charge. Also a member of the local community council. The papers given to Kiryu before his departure were made with official sources, and therefore are as real as they can get.
  • Skills:
    • Fighting - It cannot be overstated enough. The sheer grit, experience of over two decades, and the keen tactical mind makes Kiryu a prodigy in brawling, who seemingly is barely slowed down by his age. Despite having no superpowers or any formal training to speak of, he can go toe-to-toe with enemies who may seem way above his punching class (examples include a grizzly bear and a pair of tigers, to name the more mundane ones). His preferred method of fighting is with old-fashioned fisticuffs, but he's got expertise with using weaponry both proper, improvised, and truly esoteric (Hot Sauce bottle? Chopsticks? A whole motorcycle? Yup).
    • Big Tough - He's, naturally, strong and tough enough to make full use of his experience, having survived multiple gunshot wounds, being beaned in the head with blunt objects more than humanly possible and the worst of the worst Japanese underworld has to offer. His punches send even larger people flying. The motorcycle example from earlier? He can swing that around no problem.
    • Man Of All Trades - Over the years, Kiryu had also picked up a number of other, non-combative skills. He's not a master at any of them, but he can fill in as a driver, a cook, a personal trainer, a yaoi voice actor (don't ask)... his life was nothing if not colorful.
    • Repairman - Currently his main trade; he's skilled in just about any small tinkering job that requires a bit of guile and some clever application of tools. Just don't ask him to figure out electronics; he's hopeless with them (sans for his phone and, more recently, an old dusty laptop).
  • Equipment:
    • His old suit from his heyday. Doesn't really wear it anymore, so it's more of a reminder of the past.
    • A smartphone. Has seen some wear and tear, but has been faithfully serving him for a time.
    • Repairman tools - A selection of necessary appliances to fix stuff with. Normally kept at his place.
    • Laptop - Some old piece of junk, mostly used for contacting his family back in Japan and searching possible job offers. Also at his place.
  • Holdings:
    • A small apartment located between Old Pike Hill, Fremont and Downtown. The main door simply reads "Arata Hajimari, Repairs".
    • A '92 Suzuki Cappuccino for getting around the city.
  • Notoriety: 2-3. He's an outspoken and outstanding member of the community, but it's likely other parts of town have never heard of him. Of course, should his real identity come out to light, the notoriety would most likely bounce a couple points at the very least...

  • Name: Tawna
  • Work of Origin: Crash Bandicoot
  • Age: Unknown (being 'created' in a lab makes it hard to tell age)
  • Appearance: This time, no one will catch me.
  • Personality: Often seen as the big sister type among her friends, Tawna carries this over into her line of hero work, and is happy to help citizens in need, whether it be rescuing or just talking to them. With fellow heroes, she is much the same, but is more likely to make an offer of friendly competition. However, should she be the one to be challenged, Tawna can get competitive to a fault, determined to prove herself.
  • Backstory:

Off the coast of Australia, in the Wumpa Islands, Tawna among many other animals were 'created', so to speak, thanks to the Evolvo-Ray; this device, created by two wicked scientists, rapidly evolved its targets and transformed them into human-like creatures, boosting their intelligence and strength to match. While these creatures were intended to be soldiers in a bid for world domination, that dream was swiftly crushed thanks to one of the 'failed' experiments wreaking havoc and destroying all of the equipment, as well as defeating the scientists themselves.

As for 'the Evolved' (shorthand for referring to the evolved animals created by the scientists), some were content to stay on the islands, while others traveled abroad. Of particular note is Australia itself; a few short years after this 'incident', police reports began including details of criminals being apprehended by a group that were said to hit particularly hard; eyewitness reports, scarce as they were, only added fuel to the fire by claiming that they saw flames and shockwaves out of these short battles.

What finally cemented the group in the public eye was video footage on the news of the quintet foiling an attempted heist at Mount Panorama, the racing circuit; despite the suspect having grabbed and driven off with one of the top of the line cars and attempting to make a break for it into the city proper, police arrived to find the suspect having somehow been boxed in by all five mysterious vigilantes, and if the skid marks and burned rubber everywhere was any indication, it was not an easy catch. The image captured here, of all five standing triumphantly, earned them the moniker 'the Nitro Squad'.

  • Secret Identity: None
  • Skills: Being an Evolved, Tawna naturally has above average strength and intelligence, but she takes it a step further by actively training and working to push herself to the limit. In addition, she is an expert driver, and could serve as a pilot if need be.
  • Powers: Strong as she is, Tawna's power really comes to the forefront when wearing her Nitro Suit (she didn't originally call it this, but after the Mount Panorama incident, the name just kind of stuck); with it on, all her attacks are magnified, letting her fling out energy-fueled punches and kicks like candy.
  • Equipment:
    • Nitro Suit: As mentioned above, this brings out Tawna's true potential, giving her that 'super' edge she needs to compete with the world. After a few close calls, Tawna modified it and the suits of her teammates to have it cover them at the push of a button, rather than it being something they have to manually put on.
    • Vehicles: Having a number of them on standby, some bought pre-made and others customized to her liking, Tawna always has speed at the press of a button. In any of her vehicles, Tawna also has weapons and traps in case she needs to make a getaway, or chase someone down.
  • Holdings: Tawna, once she arrives, already has housing awaiting her in Cascadia, complete with a garage to house her vehicles; it cost a pretty penny, but winning multiple motorsport tournaments and events helps keeps the pockets lined.
  • Notoriety: 4, bordering on 5. Being a newcomer to the States means she's more known as an expert racer, though the animal-like features might turn some heads.

Proud member of the AGOG community.

  • Name: Godzilla
  • Work of Origin: Godzilla
  • Age: Unknown. Is physically in her 20s.
  • Appearance: She looks a lot like this, but her actual clothes look more like this.
  • Personality: To her enemies, Godzilla is a deadly engine of rage and destruction. To her allies, Godzilla is a less deadly engine of rage and destruction. She tends to not be overly social, preferring brawls with random street toughs over long conversations. Years of being around humans have softened her up somewhat, though, at least to the point where she isn’t a total murderhobo. She doesn’t hurt innocent people, but she does frequently cause property damage during the heat of battle. It’s not her fault that her surroundings are so easy to break.
  • Backstory: **Godzilla’s origins started during the hydrogen bomb tests that took place in the Pacific Ocean, east of Japan. It was through a melting of nuclear waste, prehistoric fossils at the ocean floor, and human DNA from sailors who died in their travels. This created the the sea creature/human mix-em-up that ended up swimming over to Japan.
    • There she lived among the humans for some time, taking in everything she could learn from them with childlike wonder. But as she matured, it became more and more apparent that she wasn’t normal. She started exhibiting strange powers that she had little control over, and she ended up attracting the attention of the nation’s scientists, who kidnapped her in the hopes that they could experiment on her and determine her true origins. This… didn’t go so well. She emerged from the facility she was placed in, destroying it and tons of property that was in her path. She managed to escape back into the sea.
    • Though she lived in the ocean for a bit, Godzilla decided to try to live with humans once again, if only because she felt like she was missing something by living in isolation. She swam to the Emerald City, where she started a new life for herself. Though she wasn’t especially interested in becoming a hero or villain, the violent and dangerous battles that took place would hopefully ensure she managed to stay stimulated.
  • Secret Identity: None. She doesn’t hide from her enemies, she smashes them.
  • Skills: Though most of her capabilities are covered under powers, it should be noted she’s very graceful for someone so large. She is also an incredible basketball player, able to outperform even Charles Barkley on the court.
  • Powers: **Godzilla is incredibly strong, and is able to chuck trucks around like it ain’t a thing. Her physical prowess is also aided by the fact that she has an extra limb to fight with (her tail) and her hands can turn into claws.
    • Her skin automatically hardens into reptilian scales when she is attacked, which are tough enough to let her shrug of handguns and other small arms fire. Armor-piercing rounds, attacks from supers, most special weapons typically employed by supers, explosives, or anything of a comparable power level will go right through this protection.
    • She has a healing factor that lets her recover from most non-critical injuries in a matter of days. She can also regrow missing limbs, but this is a slower process.
    • Godzilla’s signature attack is her Atomic Breath, a destructive beam she can fire from her mouth at will. Simple in concept, but flashy and effective in combat. She can even use this to propel herself in the air and achieve pseudo-flight for short bursts of time.
    • Godzilla can shift sizes from anywhere between her normal height of around 6’8” all the way up to 20 feet tall. Along with the requisite increase to her reach and power, the sheer length of her stride at this height means she can run at about 60 mph. Granted, this isn’t especially practical as it’s hard for her to avoid causing tremendous collateral damage if she runs that fast.
    • Godzilla excels in the ocean, not only being able to breath underwater but also being an incredibly fast swimmer. She can easily outspeed ordinary boats when she’s in the water.
    • Lastly, Godzilla has a small nuclear core inside her body that gives her sustenance as well as incredible vitality. She doesn’t need to eat, nor does she get tired. However, one downside is that the use of her powers can strain this power source after a while. Overuse makes her unable to use most of her powers temporarily, and may even cause her to go into a state known as Burning Godzilla. This causes her entire body to heat up to a point where it damages her.
  • Equipment: Nothing notable.
  • Holdings: She has a pretty normal apartment that isn’t particularly noteworthy. Strangely, sometimes she dwells at the bottom of Lake Washington instead of her home.
  • Notoriety: Easily a 10 in Japan. Even elsewhere, she’s probably an 8 or 9 at least.

This sign-up contains spoilers for Part 5 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Vento Aureo. You've been warned!

Another strange quirk is that he occasionally receives "phone calls" from someone he calls his boss. These "calls" are typically heralded by Doppio making a ringtone sound and are received through any nearby object he can pick up. This can result in rather surreal situations such as using a frog or ice cream cone as a "phone" and yet Doppio never seems to realise the incongruity. If pressed on the identity of The Boss he'll either try to come up with an excuse, evade the question, or become increasingly agitated. Similarly, if someone fails to give him an object he identifies as a "phone" he will become highly irritable. He's unfailingly loyal to The Boss.

"The Boss" is actually Diavolo, his alternate self. Doppio doesn't realise they are one and the same, believing him to genuinely be a separate person. Diavolo is a heartless and arrogant man, his only true soft spot being for Doppio. Nevertheless, he respects those who have impressed him and are obedient - both subordinates and enemies. He is certain that he can overcome any obstacle thanks to his stand, King Crimson. In addition, though he may be discouraged by setbacks, he believes he is favoured by fate itself and craves the power and status he has acquired as boss of Passione. He prefers to be brutally efficient and thinks that the ends justify the means, no matter what.

Diavolo suffers from an extreme compulsion to hide his identity, going so far as to eliminate anyone who seems like they might be getting too close to uncovering the truth. He is extremely paranoid in this regard, always using proxies and indirect methods of communication where possible to talk to subordinates. He also tries to tie up loose ends from his past, attempting to erase all traces of it to ensure that he himself cannot be found. However, it is worth noting that he is pragmatic in his own way - he won't murder everyone who seems that they might discover him. For example, he may simply use King Crimson to evade a random bystander who is about to stumble upon him. He can briefly seize control of Doppio if the latter is sufficiently threatened or someone pries too much into The Boss's identity, which are one of the main causes of Doppio's mood swings. An easy tell for this is that his eyes will suddenly turn green rather than their normal brown.

  • Backstory: Doppio is a fledgling superhero, an Italian who emigrated to Emerald City to find new opportunities in the land of the free. He's reluctant to discuss more about his past and abilities beyond what he demonstrates, though. In reality, he's the man in charge of the Neapolitan based mafia Passione. Born under unusual circumstances in an all-woman's prison, he eventually came to become the boss of Passione, with Doppio as his trusted consigliere. However, Bruno Bucciarati and Giorno Giovanna's meddling led to tremendous damage to Passione's home operations, and although Diavolo eventually eliminated them before they could figure out his true identity he was rattled. Realising that it was very unlikely that anyone would think to look for a mafia head in a place like Emerald City, as well as eyeing the lucrative opportunities it offered, he decided to oversee Passione's establishment in Emerald City personally.
  • Secret Identity: N/A
    • Cover:
  • Skills:
    • Cunning: Doppio has a native wit that has allowed him to prove surprisingly effective in a fight. He can generally adapt quite quickly to unexpected situations.
    • High Intelligence: A large part of how Diavolo got to where he is today is his keen intelligence. He is a solid tactician, at least when it comes to super-on-super combat, and he is often quick to figure out others' plans and react accordingly. Lastly, he is very observant.
  • Powers: Doppio is what is known as a stand user. He can make use of a psychic manifestation of his will to assist him. The normal nerfs apply, including stands being hurtable by ordinary means and being visible. The only exception to the latter is that Doppio can "hide" parts of King Crimson's limbs in his own, though there are tells such as "gloves" and pauldrons when it's in use.
    • King Crimson: Doppio's true ability. King Crimson has a range of 2m or so, and can deliver extremely powerful strikes within that range. However, its real trump card is the ability to teleport Diavolo across brief distances, letting him dodge attacks and strike from confusing and unpredictable angles. However, there are indicators that KC has been activated, such as nearby animals or objects also teleporting, and a brief blur of pink energy as KC works. It can also be quite draining. Only Diavolo can use this ability.
    • Epitaph: Epitaph allows Doppio to snatch glances into the future, which is reflected in the bangs of his hair. This gives him a few seconds' warning of imminent danger, though it doesn't guarantee he can actually do something about what he sees. A sub-ability of his true stand. Either Doppio or Diavolo can use it.
    • Body adjustment: Given about 10 seconds, Doppio can transition to his other self, Diavolo. As a result he bulks up and his personality undergoes a complete switch. He can also make full use of King Crimson in this state. He can revert to Doppio instantly.
  • Equipment:
    • Semi-broken smartphone: Doppio presumably dropped this at some point. It still works, just about, but it's a pain to use.
    • Laptop: This fetching red laptop is one of Doppio's prized possessions.
  • Holdings: Doppio politely declined when offered a government apartment, saying he could support himself with the money he got from his inheritance. He enjoys a surprisingly comfortable existence and lives out of hotels and motels, changing his place of residence often. In reality, this is yet another way that Diavolo hides himself. He has a modest criminal enterprise in Passione's American presence, with a decent cash flow and the usual assortment of hired goons to do his bidding. Currently the organisation is working more or less autonomously, trying to expand through a variety of means (such as the drug trade). However, Diavolo can make his presence felt at a moment's notice.
  • Notoriety: 1/1. He's just starting out in this whole "superhero" business, and although his mode of dress is very eyecatching for now most people would look at you blankly if you were to ask who that pink-haired young man in the questionably cut sweater was. Thanks to his paranoid efforts to eliminate all links to himself, Diavolo is also a relative unknown. For expected appearances in public, he would likely be in a suit and tie with his hair dyed and styled as blandly as possible so that he resembles just another businessman.

  • Name: Kamen Rider Build
  • Work of Origin: Kamen Rider
  • Age: 26
  • Appearance: in rabbit tank
  • Personality: Build is a hero for justice, love, and peace. He will always answer the innocent's call for help, and dislikes killing always preferring to use the minimum level of force he can get away with against his opponent. At the same time he is a very quirky and somewhat 'dorky' individual, who often marvels over new technology and loves to develop new technology, for either his own use or the use of his allies.
  • Backstory:
    • A scientist for the Japanese government, Sento Kiryu has lost his memory and does not know who he was before becoming Kamen rider build. However despite this he fought to protect the innocent from a terror organization known as 'FAUST' while attempting to recover his own memories.
    • Eventually he would defeat FAUST, but the memories he sought to recover were lost to him and appeared to be permanently locked away. Due to the fact that he had no enemies to fight, Sento instead became a toy maker and tried to spread happiness to people rather than breaking bones.
    • Emerald City's call for assistance though would catch Sento's attention and make him jump out of 'retirement', leaving his good buddy Banjou in charge of making sure the toy business in Japan did not go under. At the same time, Sento had a sinking feeling that remnants of FAUST may be active in Emerald city, with more information on his past.
  • Secret Identity: Sento Kiryu
    • Cover: A toy maker and computer programmer, he's still trying to get around the fact that the United States won't allow him to sell toy recreations of his equipment due to 'Kamen Riders' becoming a market name and recreated adventures being shown on American television.
  • Skills:
    • Sento Kiryu is an inventor through and through, every piece of special equipment he uses and even the build driver he uses to transform were all created by him.
  • Powers:
    • Hazard Level: The Hazard level does nothing beyond granting Sento the ability to actually transform into Kamen Rider build, but only someone with a hazard level of 3 or higher can successfully use the build driver without having the crap shocked out of them.
    • Best Matches: With his current full bottle load out, Build has access to four different best matches.
      • Rabbit Tank: effectively the 'default' form, it's got average performance in comparison to the other forms, but also is Sento's preferred form. Also grants access to the drill crusher weapon.
      • Hawk Gatling: allows user to fly, and also grants access to the hawk gatlinger gun, which synches up with the gatling gun half of the transformation to provide accuracy.
      • Firehedgehog: Build possesses a spiked knuckle on his right arm that can fire off white spikes or simply be used as a spiked striking weapon. The left arm possesses a multi-deluge gun that can shoot water or fire, and his right shoulder can shoot collant liquids along with possessing an inbuilt winch to hoist victims out of danger.
      • PirateTrain: Build's (currently) fastest form, it grants access to the Kaizoku Hassyar and the right shoulder allows the user to throw energy nets to capture an opponent.
  • Equipment:
    • Build Driver: Build's transformation device, it has two slots that allows the user to insert full bottles which create the kamen rider body suit. During transformation it creates a 'shield' to prevent the act from being interrupted.
    • Full Bottles: As of this posting, Kamen Rider Build has 8 full bottles: Rabbit, Tank, Hawk, Gatling, Hedgehog, Fire Engine, Pirate, Train. By inserting these bottles into the build driver in a biotic-abiotic pairing, the user can transform. Each full bottle also has a 'best match' that grants access to a more powerful form.
    • Drill Crusher: a drill sword that can be transformed into a gun, it can channel the energy of a full bottle if one is inserted to unleash a finishing move themed on that full bottle.
    • Kaizoku Hassyar: a bladed bow, it allows Build to fire off balls of energy, and as a finishing move allows build to fire off a larger energy blast shaped like a train.
    • Hawk Gatlinger: A gatling gun, it's pretty much the simplest weapon in build's armament, but the more Build spins the magazine the more powerful the bullets get.
    • Build Bike: It's a bike, that can also transform into a phone.
  • Holdings: An apartment with a small underground/basement room which serves as his 'science' room for when he's testing out his best matches or developing new technology to be used for either build or to make new toys.
  • Notoriety: 8-9

  • Name: Rogue
  • Work of Origin: League of Legends
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: Hip Hop Ninja
  • Personality: Youthful and hot-blooded, Akali has the burning passion of the young as well as the assertive tendencies of someone who intends to pioneer their own way through life without letting authority figures tell them what they can or can't do. A bit of a showoff, she enjoys wowing the crowd either through her mixed martial arts or her hot raps while holding onto both street smarts and street cred. That said, despite her anti-authoritarian stance, Akali still listens to people she respects.
  • Backstory:
    • Originally the heir to a somewhat obscure martial arts dojo that taught a lot more things than the regular classes that moms would enroll their fifth grade children into. While on the outside her family, and the dojo, were reputable and well-liked in the community, they held a dark truth. From a young age, Akali was trained in deadly martial arts and ninjutsu, to prepare her for her role in the Kinkou Order. An ancient assassin order that believed themselves to be tasked with the role of providing 'balance' to the world.

    • Akali chose to leave that particular life behind, fleeing her family and her country of birth at 15 to escape a future she didn't want or believe in, and took to the streets as a performer specializing in lyrical raps. While in the shadows, using her learned skills to combat people like her family, and those who sought to do wrong.
  • Secret Identity: Akali Jhomen Tethi
    • Cover: A punkish street performer that wows crowds with her incredible acrobatics and musical talent, Akali's cover comes mostly from her keeping a low profile without being too suspicious. She has fake papers she 'coerced' from an underground provider that would stand up to simple scrutiny, but any serious search would pull it apart.
  • Skills:
    • Akali hails from a family that runs both a dojo and a secret assassin order, and thus knows quite a lot about combat- both armed and unarmed. Skilled in mixed martial arts as well as modernized and lost ninjutsu, her training went unfinished once she fled her home. Leaving her with an incomplete art that she had to supplement and expand on herself during her travels.

    • Akali is a highly skilled ninja though, able to sneak about really quietly as well as blend into the shadows at seeming will, being much harder to spot in darker settings. She can also outright expediate the stealth aspect by throwing obscuring elements like smoke bombs to attack from various tricky angles. She can also ninja run, wall climb/jump, as well as perform high velocity dashes to close the distance from a couple dozen feet away incredibly quickly. She's also fluent in Japanese, Korean and English.
  • Powers: With her training incomplete at 15, she was unable to learn any of the more supernatural and magical abilities that her order have access too, save for one. Akali is capable of an illusion-based jutsu, which she uses to startle and stun her foes when needed by lighting up the area in neon, disorientating colours, and also gives her her unique costume look. Including the animated oni mask that talks as she does.
  • Equipment: Akali has access to the regular sort of stock ninja weaponry one might expect, though they're scaled a bit bigger than normal like a kunai the size of a Santoku knife or a kusarigama whose head seems to be a bit thicker and weightier than normal (said equipment also have a layering of gold emblazoned over the parts that aren't bladed). For disposable tools she has smokebombs, graffiti spray cans, throwing kunai knives, as well as a generously portioned corded cable to hook things from afar.
  • Holdings: She lives out of a locked up and pretty secure abandoned warehouse in the Ironhouse District, which she broke into and created access to and from the rooftop. Making it an out of the way hideout that is likely to be left alone. Furnished with various scraps and spoils she has gotten hold of since arriving in Emerald City, and stuff bought with money she's taken from criminals.
  • Notoriety: 2. There's rumours of a 'neon ninja' going around, and a badly focused and blown out images, but the general public knows practically nothing about her. Or what or who she even is. The underworld, and various criminals, have a bit more knowledge and confirmation of her, but only what she lets them see and know. Using her 'costume' as a misdirection from her more covert and proper ninja ventures.

  • Name: Kawakaze
  • Work of Origin: Azur Lane
  • Age: 3
  • Appearance: fluffy, although her outfit is more like this on duty, with blue instead of red, and with Sakura flowers instead of crosses... Lastly her outfit for heading around town, buys her a little bit of room but doesn't function as a disguise.
  • Personality: Kawakaze can best be described as.... conflicted, she sees herself as nothing more then a weapon of war after all that is why she was created.... she tries to pretend that she isn't involved in frivolities, but deep down.... she wants nothing more then to be so, and so the cheery side she can show on "idol" duty, is more genuine then she would want to admit.
  • Backstory: Created in 2017 by the JSDF Kawakaze was made to make "The cutest war machine posible" as a recruitment tool. A process at which she has been doing moderately okay at, being known within her own nation as both a battle idol, and by military fans as a weapon of war... She... honestly hasn't really been alive long enough to accomplish too much save for building up fans through live shows, and web streams.... and 1 rather notable incidence of hostage rescue from pirates... Which is one of the reasons she has been sent to Emerald City, as a duel pronged nature of both getting her some more usage, and thus clips to show off for the propaganda reels, and as an act of diplomacy.
  • Secret Identity: None.
  • Cover: Military Prototype/Recruitment tool, when she isn't out being a hero, or having her capabilities being paraded about... she does a bit of propaganda work/idol duty.
  • Skills: Swimming, Explosives, Stealth, Singing, Dance, Vidya Games....
  • Powers:
    • Combat Gynoid: Kawakaze doesn't tire as long as she has energy, which she does actually get from food (cute + cake = cuter). Her physical resistance to damage is also a bit higher then that of a persons. But she isn't really all that much faster, nor stronger... While she needs air to convert food to energy as long as she has energy stored she can hold her breath translating to a dive time of hours.
    • Unhackable: To say that a lot of money has gone into making sure a combat AI isn't vulnerable to hacking would be an understatement.
    • Wave Rider Connection: Kawakaze has a mental link to her well, "submarine" part of her that lets her control it remotely from a distance, a fact that is more useful then it sounds for something so simple because the metallic shark like device has no ability to move across dirt.
  • Equipment:
    • Type 18 Micro-Sub: This metallic shark like device allows Kawakaze to move through the water with the greatest of ease, while riding it she can extend her dive time even more, and within its mass it stores most of her other equipment.
    • Type 18 Micro-Torpedo: More like a small rocket, complete with a small rocket engine, these work equally well above and below the water, and able to mount a verity of payloads.... Though there awkward size prevents Kawakaze from holding all that many above the water. Riot Foam and Thundersmoke Payload is an LTL option.
    • Type 19 Variable Explosive: Small grenade like devices that can either be stuck to a target and detonated on a timer, or thrown like a grenade and detonated remotely... these make up the bulk of Kawakaze's payload due to there much more manageable size. Riot Foam and Thundersmoke Payload is an LTL option.
    • Type 20 Semi-Aquatic Drone: A small flying drone, that can collapse to fit into a water tight cylinder, the type 20 pulls double duty either able to perform recon, or have a viable explosive mounted which it can drop like a bomber.
    • Type 20 Semi-Aquatic PDW: For the cases when exploding things is not the best idea, Kawakaze has a large caliber PDW firing gyrojet rounds for underwater use, low velocity shock rounds are a LTL option.
  • Holdings: Kawkaze has a moderately nice apartment supplied to her by combining both her payroll from her home country, and the housing allowance from this one. The interior is well decorated, and set up in a way for photo-shoots and just meet and greets in general. Has a computer for streaming, but is over all lacking a bit in amenities in favor of streamlining the appearances.
  • Notoriety: 6-7, she is well known within her own country, and known by fans of military technology and Japanese idols, but your average person on the street probably won't recognize her at first glance.

  • Name: Espeon
  • Work of Origin: Pokémon
  • Age: 20s
  • Appearance:
    • As Espeon, she wears a costume that resembles the strange dog in her dream, much as Batgirl wears a costume that resembles a bat. It is a mostly light purple outfit with a full face mask with small stylized ears, blue lens over her eyes, and what looks to be a red gem on her forehead.
    • As Sabrina.
  • Personality: Espeon is rather eccentric and creepy to most people, since she chooses to speak purely through telepathy. As Sabrina, she is rather distant towards people she doesn't know, though she still treats people with respect and kindness.
  • Backstory: Sabrina Morgane has always been... odd even as a child living in Emerald City. She has always been haunted by nightmares about monsters with her only friend helping her being a strange dog. She dismissed them as being merely recurring nightmares. Instead, Sabrina focused her efforts in the field of acting. She always wanted to act since she played Juliet in a school play. Once Sabrina was able to, she went straight to Hollywood to try her hand as an actor... and failed save for some obscure roles. Soon, she would have another one of her nightmares and once again saw the strange friendly dog helping her in her dream. Thinking quickly, Sabrina grabbed the dog within the dream before she woke up. And she found the dog still in her arms when she woke up. Surprised, the dog blasted Sabrina with psychic energy and fled... or disappeared. She was not sure if that wasn't a dream as well since she fell asleep afterwards. The next day, Sabrina woke up and discovered that she had real psychic powers. Soon afterwards, she obtained her star-making role as the villainous Magic Queen Jujube. However, as much as she enjoying playing Jujube, the role led to Sabrina being typecast as a villainous sorceress. As she wanted to help people as well, she took on the superhero identity of Espeon using the strange dog in her dream as a basis. Then one day, Sabrina had a dream in which the strange dog was living in her family home in Emerald City which she took as a psychic sign. Officially, she had decided to take a break from her acting career and return to her family home in Emerald City, but in reality, she wants to figure out just exactly how she obtained her strange powers.
  • Secret Identity: Sabrina Morgane
    • Cover: Sabrina Morgane is a Hollywood actor currently on a break from Hollywood because of being typecasted as a villain, but that does not mean she isn't still acting as she has chosen to work with a theater in Emerald City. While Sabrina's cover is not completely bulletproof, she does use her acting skills and telepathy as well as a full face mask to make Espeon seem like a different person than herself.
  • Skills:
    • Acting: Sabrina is a trained Hollywood actor, which means she is good at playing the parts of others, as well making Espeon seem different from Sabrina Morgane.
  • Powers:
    • Psychic Powers: Sabrina has psychic powers. With telekinesis, she can move things up to the size of a car with without touching them. With telepathy, she can communicate with others using only her mind. Additionally, Sabrina can fire off a beam of psychic energy hereafter known as Psybeam and can create a wall of psychic energy in front of her hereafter known as her Barrier. In addition, Sabrina also occasionally gets strange dreams, but she has no control over it and it is purely for use by the GM.
  • Equipment: Just her superhero costume.
  • Holdings: Sabrina currently lives at her late parents' home in Meeker Way.
  • Notoriety:
    • As Sabrina, 5. Sabrina is a Hollywood actor on a break from being in Hollywood, but she is only really known for playing Magic Queen Jujube.
    • As Espeon, 2. Espeon does try to keep a low profile as a superhero.
