Squad 3-Violet

Violet turned her eyes toward Finn, hearing muffled sounds coming from the place a mouth would be on a mannequins head. Despite her efforts it was still difficult to view people as anything but background sets in her world. For a moment she closed her eyes and took a breath, opening them and seeing a few more human features start to take form. A few more blinks and Finn looked essentially like a person in her eyes.

The angels tilted their television heads toward the boy, with the archangel resting a hand on the hilt of its blade before Violet lowered her hands in a calming gesture. "It is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Violet. I hope that you will work your hardest to not make me embarrassed to have you within the same set space as me." her smile was perfectly innocent and despite those harsh words she didn't speak with a single iota of malice.

Squad 2

Ever smiled with pride as she walked over to a nearby recycling bin and picked up a box from inside. The plant girl turned it to show her squadmates a stamp on the side saying "Forever Green Foods." She brandished it like a coat of arms. "I was anything but idle this summer. My new crops from summer of last year proved a great success, and I was allowed to roll out an assembly line of high producing, healthy, easily harvested crops. I even worked in manual labor so the job market won't tank. I got in contact with a good lawyer helping me gain the rights to a large cut of the fruits of my labor. In fact, it was the same lawyer that made me late the first day."

She smiled even wider as she flipped the box to reveal a list of her other products and prepared to further stroke her own ego. "I'm looking to spread to impoverished areas where I can make large amounts of high quality and easy to afford food. Hopefully, that will be a good first step in ending world hunger. I also have several plants that produce things like medicine and electricity pending approval!"

A series of roots popped up around Dante, forming a makeshift cage to stop him from running too much further. She shot a look at the mob of people, but quickly returned to a beaming look. Ever had been waiting for a chance to tell her friends of her accomplishments, and not even these weirdos could bring down her mood.

Guardians - Evo

A huge bestial hand covered in thick armored hide reached out of the portal, heralding the giant of a creature that came through the portal. It stepped out, scattering whatever smaller comrades remained. Its mouth cracked open to reveal teeth the size of butcher knives. "If you have enough time to prattle, you have enough to search."

The behemoth leisurely strode out of the warehouse. His back bubbled like some kind of primordial ooze, releasing several winged insects that took to the sky and searched for the statue air. "Tess!" He roared at the energy girl in question. "Come with me."

Tamamo-no-Mae – Warehouse (The Guardians)

“Oh, do lighten up. Your so-called ‘prattling’ is half the fun. Fun and games or no,” came a sultry, slightly condescending voice from within the bottle, followed quickly by a rather voluptuous feminine form. Which was also followed by a magnificent array of black tails. The woman had sharp features and dangerously thin eyes, which when accompanied by her more animalistic features reinforced her overall vulpine appearance.

“And I count on it, dear. Makes them... easy, she purred to Malhareff, unable to wipe the smirk from her face as she carefully began to examine their environment. “Now... where's that statue of ours...”

Her slitted eyes snapped round to Evo in an instant.

“Do keep your voice down, love. Some of us have sensitive ears.”

Iridium Wonders – Outskirts

Dante continued to run, but then he was forced to stop for two reasons: the first one being Ever blocking him with her roots, and the second one being Ryuu tackling him to restrain him.

When the Green Dragon stopped restaining him, Dante wheezed, relieved.

I know, Mr. Fuuji, but when I least expect it, that arenæeid bastard comes out of nowhere and ruins everything!   , he exclaimed, mortified,    H-He sucked the soul out of that man...a-and these fools started blaming me for it. He got away with his crime while I got told that I deserved to die! To get executed!   , he clenched his fists,    How could I bear this?! Tell me, Mr. Fuuji, tell me!

Squad 3 – Outskirts

"Violet, huh?", Chibuzo grinned, "Very well, Ms. Violet, I hope you don't mind me telling you my name...", he said politely to the newcomer.

"I am Chibuzo Kariuki, the resident lich here. I look forward to working with you", he introduced himself, being polite yet sounding a bit prideful.

Jumping Bean (3)

Jumping Bean bowed to Violet shallowly, holding out one fist to an open palm in front of her, as a gesture of politeness.

"My name is Jumping Bean," she said. "I hope we can get along well together."

"Where'd you get the clout to summon angels?" she asked curiously. "Did you train a lot, perform some great deed, or inherit the powers?"

Perry (4)

Just then, Violet caught Perry's eyes. A newcomer who had Shining Ones as friends? Wow! She scampered over to Violet excitedly.

"What!? Who you, New Girl? How get Shining Ones to be your friends?" she chattered. "I Peregrine Alastor, but friends can call me Perry. I have lots friends too, see?"

Rollo lolled his tongue out in his dopey, hungry-looking way to greet Violet. Lucky licked a perpetually sopping wet paw and purred. Pip croaked his greeting. Buddy curled his way around Perry's shoulders to get a better look at the angel summoner and Pancake just burrowed his way into Perry's hoodie.

Vivian-Squad 4-City Of Lights

She glanced at the new girl. She wasn't too enthused with Angel and The Ancient getting along (and how would that work? Didn't the Christian Bible kind of frown on Necromancy and Magic?) Nevertheless, she resolved to keep an eye on both of them. At least Perry and the other new kid seemed to like them. Maybe she should at least introduce herself. As she stepped forward, a rough looking man stepped in front of her. He snarled something crude and misogynistic at her, making a gesture that seemed to include the rest of the group as well.

Vivian smiled again, and reached out, gently cupping the back of his head. She leaned forward and whispered into his ear. The ruffian suddenly paled and stumbled back. He threw up in the street and quickly staggered away, making a panicked jerk to avoid the nearby Perry.

Iuvem looked at Violet and her angels.

The first remark she made suggests him that she's one of those rich snobs that are Alpha Bitches...the fucked up kind of Alpha Bitches.

Speaking of bitches, he kinda got into argument with a woman who believed that Ms. Earth was flat and that space was just a lie created by the Enlightened...just what?

He tried to reason with Her, but things got hectic, and she started insulting him and the others. Iuvem decided that he was done with this and shooed the woman away.

He sighed as put a hand on his forehead, as if he had a headache.

"And I have a freaking rage button on me" Ryuu whispered "I had several years growing up scared of myself, and sometimes the only reason things didn't end up worse was because the old man basically tranqued me" Those memories weren't something he wanted to dig up, the destruction and the bodies still haunted him sometimes, but he still held to some hope. And he managed to make friends and find a goal.

"You have people who care" He said "You have a goal, you have someone to save. Hold onto that, and to who you are and if you can't let go of the rage, well, sooner or later you'll meet the Spider, so let him feel every bit of it" He didn't know how well that would work, but it's all that he could think of.

Saint City Outskirts - Squad 1 & 3 - Mikael and Ellie

Demons and Angels did not get along. It was only natural. They were ancient enemies, since long before even the fall of Lucifer.

So when a girl came, pompous and proud, flanked by Angels, the twin demons' instinctive reaction was wariness. Ellie managed to force a smile, albeit one showing too many teeth, but Mikael - who was on her Squad, and knew about her in advance - glowered at her attitude.

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth. That's what the good book says, isn't it?" Mikael questioned, staring Violet down. "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, though. The words of Angel's have always been used by the mighty to manipulate the weak. That's why we heroes swear to stop them. You'd do best to remember that, Violet Sharm."

So saying, he turned away from her, standing more closely by Ellie in case the Angels tried anything.

Guardians - Warehouse - Luce

An Angel appeared, but not an Angel like those summoned by Violet. Dressed to kill, hair coiffed, his black wings folded behind him, he adjusted his cuffs as he stepped through the portal. The others would know him at once. The Son of Lucifer, glimmering in radiant light.

"You know, Malhareff, talking like that doesn't actually make you sound smart. In fact, it actually makes you sound like an asshole who memorized a dictionary." Luce chided. "Also, humans aren't that bad when you get down to it, just... misguided. And stupid. Very, very stupid."

He seemed to flicker into light, and was suddenly outside the Warehouse, by the entrance. "Also also, last one there's a rotten egg."

Another flash of light, and he was off.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Malhareff

The sphinx promptly huffed - he curtsied to Lady Tamamo, as befitted someone so legendary for her capabilities, and then Luce came in and promptly demonstrated his "decorum". "Very well, in not so inelegant words, to the victor go the spoils."

The sphinx promptly took off - bending the ceiling out of the way via telekinesis - and had his Eternal Horde move out from there.

First and foremost, I need to ensure the heroes do not discover what it is we're here to do. Capturing a brute and completing an interrogation would lead to a conclusion that would bode ill for us.

The Sphinx's eyes glowed red and the Eternal Horde began to fan out.

Each of them would transmit any data they found, scanning the area for the Confederate Statue ("leave it to the humans to memorialize the losing team" Malhareff mused to himself, "Such sentiment demonstrates why the powers of industry leave the South in droves.")

However, anyone the Eternal Horde encountered in their inexorable advance would meet the energy lashing from the so called "Crooks of Condemnation". Rather than simply kill, the energy from the crooks would induce wracking, horrifying pain - enough to send people sprawling to the ground, barely coherent - barely conscious.

But not dead - such was the cruel mercy of these weapons.

In all his opposition research, the Sphinx knew that the heroes would need to prioritize saving civilians who were in uncertain condition as opposed to fighting the Horde decisively or searching for whatever they were there for.

First and foremost, right near Squad 4, one man who was handling a sign previously suddenly ran out, looking petrified with fear, and one of the monsters of the Eternal Horde silently moved in front of him, raised its crook, and fired a quick, almost serpentine red flash of light.

He and his buddies had gotten in the faces and made to attack these "Blue Man Group wannabe assholes", thinking them some odd kind of hero from MSU. They'd learned how wrong they were.

The man let out a long, agonized scream and then fell, clutching himself, whimpering, shaking, fingers gouging into his upper arms where he went to clutch himself.

The cyborg-zombie turned to look at Squad 4 as three more of its kind likewise turned the corner, their crooks visibly powered up.

Tamamo-no-Mae – Warehouse (The Guardians)

“Doing this now, are we? Boys will be boys,” the old kyūbi snorted, though decidedly didn't look upon her feminine compatriots with any less disdain. A vain examination of her nails was a thinly veiled warning to her lack of care for her next few actions, and she promptly braced herself—flickering away with a burst of speed and cracking the earth beneath her as she simply vanished from view. A tremendous gust of wind was left behind, and she nonchalantly shouldered her way through a wall in her path; skidding along the ground on her heels for a few metres before slowing and regaining her composure. After a delicate cough, she strutted up alongside the angel and looked aside at him.

“Dear, dear Lucy. Give a lady a hand and take flank. Best for the others to, as well. Unless we split off to find that statue. Organization is key, hmm? However...”

Her already narrow eyes shrunk into slits as a snarl erupted from her throat, and the odd arc of green lightning trailed off from her appendages as she caught a very familiar, very particular scent.

“Actually, no. Something worse. There's a celestial here. A blessed one of Inari. I suppose an equivalent of your kind, hmm? Messenger of a deity? May be a problem. And there's a daeva.”

She frowned.

“All go with this lot, aren't they?”

Evelyn – Saint City Outskirts (Squad 4)

A bright crimson beam erupted from the albino's forehead almost as soon as the man fell; a psionic blast of pure, focused hatred directed specifically towards the monster that had attacked him. When it came to these sorts of things, Evelyn tended to act on instinct.

But she soon recalled herself, and regardless of whether or not the beam hit its target she scrambled back into the throng of her squad. Her Eye snapped open ever wider as she sightjacked through as much of the Horde as we could to pinpoint their positions, and tried desperately to keep them in her memory. The headache didn't help, and the slight bubble of panic in her chest wasn't doing her any favours either.

Focus. Drown everything else out. Focus on the enemy. Nothing more. Oh, and the people. Okay, maybe not absolutely nothing more...

Yoko – Saint City Outskirts (Squad 1)

“You mean feed them to ‘Mama’,” Yoko flatly replied, shooting a glance towards the bizarre creature and quirking an eyebrow at Zach. “I kinda wanna know what's going on with her, I'll be honest, but at the same time... I really, really don't. That said, I'm sure–”

Her nose twitched as she caught a scent, and her head turned so fast she almost gave herself whiplash. The kitsune looked white with terror for once—perhaps the most cornered and frightened than she'd ever been seen before.

“...Kuso... it can't be...!”

Supercity Outskirts

Meanwhile, the werewolves and naga's and other such creatures had begun their assault. They were careful not to use lethal force. Claws were retracted, punches were pulled, and fangs were largely kept in. But that didn't stop them from leaving a trail of mayhem wherever they went. Old buildings were toppled, racist graffiti was scratched over, and rowdy hicks and derelicts were pushed aside or smacked in the face. And a select few trolls and ogres were busy painting messages on certain buildings they otherwise left intact. ' DOWN WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT ' was a common one, but ' NONHUMANS ARE PEOPLE TOO ' was another popular choice. It may not have been a massacre, but it was still more than enough for a headline. The question was if Class 1 would do anything about the chaos unfolding before them. Because it was only bound to get worse before long.

Most of the rabble knew better than to stand against such a force and ran for the hills as soon as they could, but there were those who had their heads jammed up their arses far enough to not care. An old man wielding a shotgun ran out from a rickety worn down house and aimed his weapon at one of the werewolves, spittle flying from his mouth as he gave them a piece of his mind. "Get the hell out of here, you flea-bitten varmints! Else I'll put a cap in your ass! Should've slaughtered all you damn motherfuckers when we had the chance! Damn mutts!"

The old man fired his sole bullet at the werewolf only for it to dodge it by the skin of its' teeth, the bullet just clipping the werewolf's fur as it ducked. The werewolf slowly rose up, glaring at the bastard who dared treat him like some common mongrel. The farmer shook, his legs knocking and his arms quivering as though he were about to have a heart attack. "P-please! I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!"

The werewolf dashed right in front of him, raising himself to his full stature as he towered over the cowering old geezer. "I, I'm sorry, really! I really am! Please don't—"

"—Kill you? Oh, you'll wish I had. Let's see how you like it!" The werewolf chomped down on the man's shoulder as he howled in pain, paying little attention that his hair was quickly starting to grow itself out on the spot. Though that would soon be the least of his worries.

Vivian-Squad 4-Strangers On A Quiet Street

Vivian had, it must be noticed, been smiling a lot today. It was a combination of the sunny day, her chance at consulting Armada about the Suit after her work the other night, and general good feeling. This last was taking a few dents from the (in her opinion) arrogant and snooty statements of her classmates. Then the Littlest Angel attracted the attention of the demons. Now that looked to be entertaining.

When the weird blue folk rounded the corner bearing big question marks, she at first genuinely thought it was some kind of religious march or a parade. However, civilians falling and screaming managed to convince her otherwise.

She summoned the Suit with a priority +3 call (the higher the number the bigger the emergency). As soon as it landed, the young woman had almost danced in front of it and gotten inside with palpable glee. A few moments ago, Vivian had been smiling. Now, as she charged forward and prepared to pulp these blue weirdos, her teeth were still showing, but it was not a kind expression, though no less joyous.

Shane - Squad 1

Shane was just about to turn a corner with Zach and the others when he heard a tremendous cacophony beginning - he hugged to the wall and then looked around, gasping when he saw what it was.

Werewolves, Nagas, creatures of all kinds, burning, pillaging and destroying the outskirts. And among them, he saw what looked like some odd blue people running around, at speeds no normal human could manage.

"What the actual living fuck?" He promptly put his hands in his jacket pockets, where his guns were kept, and got ready for battle.

Van - Squad 3

Van largely kept himself quiet, concerned mostly with the upkeep of the blade resting upon his back, but when he saw what was happening his reaction was utter confusion. Why was this going on? Who the hell's bright idea was burning and wrecking a place like this?

"Guys, looks like we might have something to do today."

Squad 4 vs Eternal Horde

The blue armored creature lurched backward briefly due to the impact from Evelyn's attack...but any effect that might've resulted due to effect on a psyche or mind did not occur. Because, as Evelyn would see upon sight-jacking these creatures - they were not alive.

Each and every single blue armored creature of the Eternal Horde was a zombie, with cybernetic bits incorporated. No psyche to hit. No mind of their own. They were controlled by programming written both into circuits and into what used to be brains.

They were like robots, but robots built including a carcass.

She would however see there were quite a lot of them, fanned out across the outskirts - and they had a unique sight to use. They seemed to be scanning numerous energy outputs in addition to their standard sight capabilities.

Soon after the impact, the Eternal Horde began firing beams of pure agony at Squad 4 - tendrils of lacing pain racing through the air from the crooks of these creatures.

However Vivian's mech crashed through these blasts and crumpled one of the Eternal Horde creatures while the others moved from formation to continue trying to blast at Squad 4 while reckoning with Vivian's mechanical monstrosity.

Flying high above, Malhareff distinctly detected the psionic effort made by Evelyn. He chuckled in a falsely mirthful manner, "Ohhhh my, what is this? A fellow psychic upon the field...? No no no, this simply won't do. This poor dear doesn't have the capacity to survive in such a competitive market place. Time to put her out of business."

He then regarded the rest of the field, watching Vivian summon her mech from on high. He let a small smirk show on his face...and then promptly undertook action.

Launching a ferocious psionic attack of his own upon Evelyn, he focused his effort on her main outlet of psychic power. A sharp poke in the third eye as it were - if sharp pokes were more like producing a drilling burst of psychic force from all sides.

Squad 3-Violet

There was so many figures around her, it was difficult to think. Some disgusting creature wrapped up in a patchwork abomination that could hardly be counted as clothing, a girl dressed in rags speaking on equal terms, a little lost girl and her army of mutts, and what her friends informed her was a demon trying to play a critic. She took a breath and stepped back, a line of new angels appearing in front of her to divide her from them. "Sorry, if you all look at me so normally I might have gotten sick. Please try not to make eye contact when speaking." once she managed to right herself she sent her friends away and went back to her basic protection. "Angels are beings of pure intent, but its impossible for a being coded to obey to make judgement. If it were up to them you would likely all be dead," she put a hand on one of the angels to comfort and ground herself. Speaking to others was difficult, because she had to try and remember that they were actual people and not background dressing. Talking to herself like this would only add to her discomfort after all.

"My judgement is unclouded by prejudice or any level of hatred. Because to me most people aren't worth the effort to imagine as real. In other words, I am completely impartial and clear headed. The perfect quality of a perfect judge."

Her attention was quickly pulled away by the sight of the demonstration upon the city, a smile twisting over her features. "A demonstration," she put a hand to chin and considered. "Destruction of public property, assault, unauthorized use of powers without a permit, and given the trash they are throwing around, littering."

Judgement- Guilty Countermeasures deployed- Twenty Angels, Ten Archangels, Two Principalities, One Power

Two more types of angels joined the squad she had summoned, the Principalities robbed in metallic armor with wings made of syringes and metal, their eyes glowing a light green, the the Power a towering being of armor carrying various weapons on every portion of its body, a glowing neon halo atop its head giving blessings of strength to those who gazed on it.

"Angels and Archangels, pick up any wounded and bring them to the Principalities to heal, focus on rescue. Power, please dispose of any rabble so they can be brought to justice." with a snap of her fingers the angels went about their work. "Protection of the innocent, using the word lightly, should be the first priority in these sorts of situations. If anyone dies it would be a black mark against my first outing. Try not to embarrass me."

Squad 3-Martin

Martin might not have agreed with everything that Violet had said, but had allowed her introduction to go without comment as he had been distracted helping a baby bird back into a tree. However the sight of the various supernatural beings gave him flashbacks to the battle against the Nazi's, quickly pulling out his phone and hitting a button to send out signals to emergency personal before charging in, throwing himself between any attacks toward the people. "Do you think this is the best way to change things?!" he caught a werewolf jumping toward him and threw it toward a gorgon before its gaze could be cast upon any innocent bystanders. "Please just stop, this isn't going to change anything." he was surrounded, after all it was his duty to jump first and think after. "Fine, if you won't leave on your own then I will stop you. I'm sorry if you have been hurt, if this is the only way you can see to things being better. I promise that I will change things in enough time, but for now, I won't let you hurt people just to vent."

Squad 4-Clay

Shoot, this whole situation had gone fubar faster then he had expected, of course that wasn't to say he expected a monster attack pulled from a fantasy novel. But he had expecting something and thus was all ready to hit the emergency beacon that had been set up to get medical teams to the location quickly. Given more time he and Martin would have set up their own team to deal with this sort of situation, healers and guards that could keep the situation contained. But they didn't have enough time yet, the screening process needed time to divide out the bad apples before they could be funded. For now all he could do was what he did best.

Blast varmints with a gun from the future. Clay leveled his weapon and activated his third eye, shooting down foes with arcs of electricity that danced among the crowd and sent down enemies with bodies smoking from the heat of the blasts. That was until his belt bleated out 'Psychic attack incoming, would you like to redirect?'

"Damnation, yes!" he moved closer to Evelyn and felt an immense pain as his belt used its own process to redirect the attack, trying to shield him. But whatever sent it wasn't screwing around, and the shield only blocked enough damage to prevent him from passing out. Needless to say he doubled over in pain as the full weight of the attack hit him, groaning and looking toward Evelyn. Hopefully whatever did that couldn't use it twice in such a quick time frame, else he would be down for the count.

The Guardians - Warehouse

Evo leaned over and picked up tess and placed her on his back. With nothing more than a "Hold" as warning he leaped over to the square...

Guardians - The Fray

...and landed directly onto a flying insect the size of a baseball. An insect that just happened to be right next to a certain confederate statue. The impact earned a crater and sent a wall of wax from Evo's feet that encircled it. It also afforded Tess unacosted access to the statue, for now at least. Now he was going to make sure it stayed that way. Evo's monstrous form became a clear gelatonous blob full of liquid organs. The glob fell, split and reformed into two smaller forms of the monster from before like some kind of twisted mitosis. One of the Evos jumped out of the wax fortress, while the other remained. The remaining one grumbled as if it had found out something displeasing and turned to Tess. "I'll stand watch."

Squad 2 - The Fray

Ever released the cage around Dante as soon as the rioters showed up. Her efforts instead turned to closing off the plaza. She grabbed a handful of seeds from her third pouch and tossed them towards the entrances to the plaza. They erupted into plants with massive thorns that turned like the blades of a blender, slowing the influx of baddies into the plaza. Beyond them plants burst through the ground and wrapped around the mooks injecting potent tranquilizers at a touch.

She smiled at her handiwork as she grabbed a nearby werewolf and put it in a headlock. Nobody was getting in by ground. This same smile wiped off her face as a familiar shape crashed into the plaza hard enough to knock shingles off the nearby buildings. She silently and vainly prayed it wasn't her brother until that very same sibling hopped out of a wax hovel. She reached to that little spot in the back of her mind where she could find her twin brother.

Evo!! What. The. Fuck.

...

EVO!!!

Iridium Wonders – The Fray

Yes...I will cherish this hatred, so that I could unleash it all on that stultus of Dementius...   , Dante said quietly,    or, at least, I'll try to, Mr. Fuuji...   , Dante calmly said.

He then there was this Violet girl. Sorrounded by angels with...TV screens for faces?

Hmm...Interesting...   , he said, as he equipped the Desossi Masquerade Mask, strange double helix-like marks appeared on his palms, his skin and irises started to glow.

Before the Violet had sent the angels to the rescue, Dante touched the Power. He then went through the Desossi Transformation process. When the Transformation process ended, he was something new.

His attire was something akin to his Wonder Form attire, but it had more "religious/angelic" themes. It had a white, (really) light gray and gold color scheme. He wore a strange type of headdress, that was similiar to a crown or a tiara. He wore a long white, branched and silk-like "scarf" around the back of his neck. He wore a white and gold tunic, that had a light gray sash (with a golden zigzag pattern) around the waist. He was barefoot. He had really big, feathery wings on his back. He was...Angel Dante.

Interesting indeed...   , he said with a booming voice, after Violet sent the angels to the riot,    Your views might be a bit twisted, but overall...you seem to be a good addition, Mrs. Sharm...   , he commented as he started flying towards the rioters.

Do you know this "Evo", Ever?   , he asked her about her monstrous brother.

Squad 3 – Outskirts

"Why shouldn't we be making eye contact with you, Viola dear?", he politely asked Violet, with a curious tone, "Making eye contact with someone is essential. By looking into someone's eyes, you may be able to find out what their personality, attitude and nature are like!", he told, "Sure, I lack eyes and use these little, nasty rascals are circling me to see my sorroundings...", he said as he extended a skeletal finger and a fly landed on it, "But you get the picture", he said, with a wink (or the "lich with nothing more than empty eye sockets" equivalent of a wink).

Her twisted sense of justice and law amused him. But this isn't the right time to listen to her blatant excuses that she uses to justify her Alpha Bitch narcissism. It was Riot Repression time!

"Listen up, rioters!", Chibuzo floated towards an put himself between the attackers and the attacked, "Like Martin said, do not attack these people. They aren't worth your time. They're weak. They are incapable of adapting in this ever-shifting world. They are an outdated menace that will slowly die as the meta-driven world continues to devolop...", Chibuzo calmly said, with a stitched simile, "If you don't stop attacking these weaklings, I hope that you won't mind lots of mosquitoes biting and sucking blood out of your feeble bodies!", the aforementioned insects appeared from nowhere and started circling him.

Squad 4 – Outskirts

What are these zombie...cyborgs? Where did they come from?

Well, all that Iuvem know is that they are a menace to their wellbeing.

He created a storm from his body that swept away any incoming zombie-cyborgs, and regenerated himself.

He noticed a strange sphinx-like creature flying above them. He saw that Clay got appearently hurt by something...a psychic force, perhaps? He put two and two together and looked at the Sphinx.

He locked on the Sphinx. Let's see if my pull will work on this beast...

He used his gravitational pull on Malhareff. He would strengthen it if necessary.

Malhareff

The sudden addition of gravity to the equation made Malhareff realize that even as he was most likely merely a dot in the sky to most, it was certainly not to all. Deciding to play his hand before Iuvem could get him into any more disadvantageous a position, Malhareff focused on the rampaging form of Vivian.

Suddenly, the mecha armor Vivian made use of halted - right before it was about to punch one of the rampaging monsters.

It turned slowly - the whole time the actual pilot was seeing her input ignored - and the mech suddenly rushed at Iuvem in a crazed bolt, striking with its arms in a flurry of motion at the golem.

Evelyn – Saint City Outskirts (Squad 4)

Evelyn's eye bulged, but Clay leapt to her aid before she could do anything. She winced in sympathy as he doubled over in pain, immediately falling next to him and drawing him into her arms in an effort to alleviate some of the agony from the blast.

“You should've let me block it, huh...?” she murmured, gently running her fingers through his hair for a moment before locking eyes with the sphinx up above.

Her Third Eye twitched, and promptly altered its configuration.

Immediately, a tremendous pressure manifested around the sphinx. Manifesting as a potent, psychic pull, it threatened to draw him down to the ground at a rapid pace. There was a visible distortion in the air around him in any case, and in contrast dust particles were levitating inches off the ground around Evelyn due to the force emanated from her.

“Come here.”

Squad 4 – Outskirts

Iuvem kept pulling until he heard something. He turned around. His eyes widened at the incoming mech. He levitated upwards, dodging Vivian's mech.

The damn sphinx was trying to get me to stop pulling, he thought as resumed using his gravitational pull on Malhareff.

Hopefully we, with our forces combined, will pull him down here...

Supercity Outskirts

By this point Martin had been surrounded by a small group of nonhumans and beasties. Among them was a centauress wearing a wrap-around cloth, her long hair flowing in the wind as she pointed a bow and arrow straight at Martin's throat. "I don't know why I'm bothering to speak with you, but let me tell you something. All of this, everything you're seeing? None of us are happy with it. But it's nothing compared to the atrocities that some of us have endured. When I was only 12, my sister was shot dead by some drunken hunter, convinced that the only good centaur was either a dead one. Either that or lobotomized. Perhaps much of the country has changed, but it hasn't been enough. And with the Saint dead it's only going to get worse. So what else are we supposed to do?"

Jumping Bean (3)

"Of course this has to happen," Jumping Bean sighed. "I would have just liked a day without being plunged into the boiling lobster pot, but no. The Heavens won't let me." She brought out her only handful of paper talismans.

And then she threw them into the air and clapped her hands.

What went up as paper came down as batons made of golden light, and Jumping Bean stooped down to grab one.

"Pick one," she told her classmates. "Those crooks with crooks don't look so friendly, so use these to block them."

Perry (4)

"What? What wrong!? What happening!?" she said in confusion before registering what was going on. "No, stop, stop! Going to make more ghosts! No ghost!" she yammered.

"What...why..." she asked breathlessly as she threw someone trying to grab at her aside.

Squad 1

Sam looked at Yoko with a raised eyebrow, knowing that anything that could make her scared would probably be bad news. But, the sudden attack made him jump into alert.

"Are we cursed?" He asked, sarcastically, before a snow veil covered him, as a white blur pulled some people away, and the nagas suddenly felt a very strong chill surrounding them.

But when a woman was about to be bitten by a werewolf, a white furred arm took the bite.

"Sh..." He gasped, before knocking him back. "You know, I kinda get striking with anger, the things said and done here are a real blood boiler" His arm was pressed

Several of them were lifted in the air by cuffs and shackles.

"But if it's all you've got, then don't expect to get much back" Going to Yoko, he winced as he landed with a trail of snow.

"Would you give me a hand?" He joked. He might feel like keeping this from weighing too heavy on the others, but if he had to deal with everything himself, he would do it for their sake.

Wake me up at your own risk.

Squad 3-Martin

"Anything but this," he turned his attentions toward the centauress and drew in a few breaths as he righted himself. "I won't pretend to know what everyone here has gone through, the pain you've suffered. But that doesn't mean I don't want to help, that doesn't mean things will always remain the same. Actions like this are just going to feed the hatred toward people with meta abilities and the supernatural." in the end fighting was something he knew had to happen, but it wasn't why he was a hero. Being able to talk to people, getting them to change their minds to work toward a better future was always his goal. Its why even when he won he tried to keep in contact and work with those he defeated. Putting himself firmly in the corner of his enemies and always arguing that they could change.

"Please just stop, if this ends before anyone is killed then maybe there is still a chance to save this. But once death on either side begins this demonstration is going to turn into a riot that people will use to justify their hatred," its why he had jumped to stop those who were fighting, because the moment someone went too far this would become a situation that wouldn't end without the streets turning red. He needed time, time to grow what he needed to protect people. But the more these situations happened the less time he had, and a new foundation for heroism wasn't something he could rush. "Please, I'll listen to whatever issues you have, take them to the highest people I can find and fight for your rights and protect you however I can. Just let me help."

Iridium Wonders - Attack Pattern Alpha

Mahvash had been listening to Ever's presentation with rapt attention, and wanted to inquire more after the medicine plants. How would she select them to keep up with evolving pathogens? She noticed Violet and the glowing servitor variant of angels catch up, but time and place. And rather less interesting than the xian. She'd already dissected an angel.

"I guess Ever Green is Exhibit A," she had started to say to Roboctopus. And then...

She felt critters shuffle around them, but she filtered it out as background movement. Then the idiot who screamed bloody murder. Yes, he was actually being murdered, but not like volume and pitch stopped the bleeding. That's interesting. Old Egypt, that's always welcome, and some Yauna flavoring too.

"Okay," Mahvash breathed stuck between mild glee and annoyance. "we're facing a concerted attack on something to be determined covered by this riot. Split up the feuding sides." She demonstrated with a finger flick and opening a not-too-deep fissure outside Ever's perimeter and right under the feet of a wave of naga and trolls before encouraging armed humans to go back inside with biting winds.

"And drive them off but keep an eye out to capture anyone who looks in authority. Don't worry about trying to get everyone, just ringleaders. And just crush the cyborg-zombies. No souls. No psyche. Trust yourselves. We've done this before." Not strictly true, as the invasion had different rules of engagement, but the moral bonus counted for something.

She tilted her head, looking down at Ever Green before going off and even then not too far. She easily counted for more than any of the randoms outside the perimeter. "And I won't be far from you if you need support."

The riot and the organized army marching toward the same square could have been a coincidence, but on the massive chance that it wasn't, they needed intelligence from prisoners. And I need to call Orthus. He probably could reach them. Twas his plan all over again, because what could possibly go wrong with randomly antagonizing then empowering anxious people. I might approve if they were doing this on purpose.
