I thought he left a while ago.

So did I. I guess it wasn't made official until now.

Did they leave it hanging for two months? Man, the bad signs just pile up. At least say you are looking for a replacement.

Wake me up at your own risk.

This film had earned its place in Development Hell.

Not much else to be said.

I'm guessing that Noah didn't want to endanger his appearance of being "Netflix's safe boyfriend" by putting on a ton of muscle.

Me personally, I think we need more muscle man / bodybuilder actors.

[up]You say that, but he's also playing the pretty beefy Atom Smasher in the upcoming Black Adam film. Smasher typically looks like a brick even without his size manipulation.

(Male) Actors who beef up for roles are dime-a-dozen. No idea what Nick is saying.

Yeah, it's a weird(and weirdly rude) conclusion to draw. Especially since it's very easy to find reports that the guy was getting jacked.

Admittedly, it may have to do with our having a different perception of what "getting jacked" means. When I say that I mean getting in a Dolph Lundgren type of shape. As in, 250 lbs of pure, toned muscle mass.

Yeah he's getting really toned, but I come from a perspective of bodybuilding. Noah's body is ripped, sure, but he doesn't have size. He'd need to go on an extensive bulk (including significantly altering his diet, meal spacing, and macronutrient spread), and then cut down (another massive alteration to the above) to make his physique get to that point.

David S. Goyer broke his silence on one version of the live-action MOTU script that never got made as the film sits firmly in Development Hell. In his version, it was Battle Cat that served as a mentor figure to a Prince Adam that was seen at first as unworthy of the sword.

Any idea how would you handle a sequel to the original MOTU live-action movie? What would happen, who would show up?

For an extra challenge, you have the same budget as the first one so forget about an army of CGI Evil Warriors.

By the power of Grayskull! NETFLIX HAS THE POWER!!!

The Masters of the Universe movie is back once more, this time by way of Netflix, which makes sense because a lot of the recent MOTU stuff has been coming from Netflix and has apparently been very good.

Anyway, we even have a He-Man already: Kyle Allen from West Side Story!

That's a completely unnecessary comment to make.

SPOP really keeps living rent-free in people's heads.

SPOP really keeps living rent-free in people's heads.

Right? I guess it has to do with how She-Ra was conceived as He-Man's long-lost sister and yet (definitely due to legal shenanigans) she managed to have a whole show that didn't rely on even the smallest shred of a hint of He-Man. The closest hint we got is Greyskull and even then I think SPOP repurposed it for something else?

You gotta admit, that takes a lot of skill.

It's just people complaining about Adora and Catra being "toxic", like there aren't a million other, straighter romances that are way worse but don't get the same kind of backlash (or that people exaggerate the "toxicity" like those people on Twitter who obsess too much about "problematic shipping").

It also doesn't have anything to do with a *HE-MAN* movie, so I don't know why bother to bring it up.

Well I missed something....

Anyway since Frank Langela is a bit too old for Skeletor. Who would you like to play him? In talking a loud, bombastic, hammy actor.

It's also totally irrelevant since nobody mentioned She-Ra until it was brought up for this "joke".

I see they're going with the "orphan Adam" angle that the CG show played with

I don't think Skeletor necessarily needs to be 100% over the top ham. The CGI Skeletor is legitimately one of the best parts of that show with a combination of Genre Savvy and Deadpan Snarker for the most part - though of course a maniacal laugh and the ability to rant on cue are still going to need to happen eventually.

Our new He-Man is a relative newcomer IIRC so it depends if they go for star power for Skeletor (probably a comedic actor?) or go for someone less well known.
