Spoiler: Nightmare Fuel.Deltarune

Image is from the ending of (what currently exists of) the game. Perhaps Susie threatening to eat Kris's face at the beginning?

It's gone and the page is tagged. I'd need to see before giving a vote, I'm completely unfamiliar with this game.

It's barely been a month, and only the first chapter has been released. I think it's a bit too early for the NF page to have an image.

Hmmm...that's a good point. In that case, I'm fine with tagging the page to not have a pic until it's complete.

Images of scary moments in other chapters are probably going to be spoilery too. I think my suggestion is better than nothing for now.

I think how spoilery it is really depends on how much content there is. Kinda like a scale of 1-5, in which the pulled image may be a 1 in the long run but a 5 at its current state of not having much. I'm not feeling the suggestion so much either.

In the context of the demo, Kris ripping their heart out at the end is a big spoiler. But in the context of a full game, it's a much milder spoiler since it would be from near the start of the game. So my suggestion would be to keep it imageless, then add it back once the full game is out.

A First-Episode Spoiler is still a spoiler (see TearJerker.New Danganronpa V3 for an example of a pic pulled for that). I think my pic is scary enough. Even if we were to re-add the pulled pic, it should be 1 in-game pixel=1 image pixel so it looks nicer.

The severity of the spoiler should be considered as well as when it happens.

In Danganronpa V3, the First-Episode Spoiler is the death of a seemingly major character, which is extremely unexpected. Knowing that twist in advance will greatly reduce the suspense of the whole first investigation and trial, and the impact the death has on you.

In Deltarune, Kris ripping their heart out means... something. We don't know how much of a spoiler it actually is yet, but it certainly was less surprising that Danganronpa's since pretty much everyone expected SOMETHING dark and scary to happen at some point. Knowing that it happens at the end of the first chapter doesn't really impair your enjoyment of anything that happens before then.

I can't see the image because of a bug, but Susie threatening to eat your face isn't really that scary. It's a very brief scene that's at least partially Played for Laughs (since she immediately decides to not actually do it), and during the rest of the chapter you come to realize that Susie is really a good person who would never kill or maim someone for no reason.

I'm still for BUPKIS until the full release.

Okay, so I managed to get a look at the suggestion while using a different connection, and I'm not really impressed. It's Susie pinning Kris against a locker while text at the bottom of the screen says she wants to eat your face. Since it relies so much on text to convey why it's supposed to be scary, it might count as Just a Face and a Caption.

I could go for BUPKIS, if the only actual scare in the game is considered a spoiler.

It's mostly the look on her face that's scary, but the rest provides context.

It's still not that scary, in all honesty.

It might not be the scariest, but this is YMMV, and if it's the scariest non-spoiler we can show, then it's better than nothing.

I think 3 is okay. It's the best non-spoiler image we have, and as for waiting for the full release, there's no guarantee DR actually gets finished. Toby has said it may take him 999 years.

Best doesn't mean good or usable, especially when it comes to NF.

If a page image comes across as an Overly Narrow Superlative, then it probably won't make a good image. I still stand by the page being left imageless until the full release.

Is this any better?

In all honesty, not really.

I'll go with no image for now.

I think it should have an image considering it may be many years before the full game comes out (it's not an Episodic Game; the rest of the chapters will all be released at once according to Toby's TwitLonger linked above); and there's always the unfortunate possiblity that it won't come out at all.

Having a non-scary image on a Nightmare Fuel page is worse than not having an image at all. Plenty of pages don't have a picture, it's not a big deal.
