"I was falling through holes in the roof before it was cool." Tropes says, sipping octuple-strength coffee from a "Tropesburg's Only Mayor To Be Impeached But Not Convicted" mug.

"Speaking of cool, damn it's humid. Someone open a window!"

"Hey, I think it looks nice. It suits you, at the very least."

"Why, thank you."

"Why is everyone suddenly falling from holes in the cieling? Don't yall have rooms here?"

"Anytime." [Cutbug turns to After and crosses their arms.] "Look, I fell off my bed by accident, okay? Not my fault."

"No one falls off their bed by accident. You either have a conscious reason, or an unconscious reason."

Almost in response to Tropes' statement about opening a window, Knife jumps off the wall and uses the wire to fly into the metal-enforced window fistfirst. She sucessfully breaks back into the apartment as the window breaks apart.

"Alright, someone should fix that."

Meanwhile, Zanreo's playing games in her room, having turned up the sound to try drowning out the noise of power tools and other storm-preparation sounds.

"I fell from a roof. Hey, Chey, aren't you pregnant?"

"Yes, but-GAAAAAAAH!"
(Another contraction ripples through.)
"As I was saying, yes, but it looks like the baby is coming very soon. Anyway, hey, y'all!"
(Garfunkel goes over to the new hole and tries patching that up as well.)

"GOOD LORD!"

Tropes is shocked at Knife's sudden entrance, before quickly adjusting.

"Oh, Knife, the just the person I wanted to see!"

"Wait, you're in labor?" [Cutbug briefly pogs in excitement, but then their face turns to worry.] "W-what if we're not able to get you to a hospital or whatever they do these days?"

"Yeah Chey, shouldn't you have gone to the hospital as soon as the contractions started?"

"Or were you hoping for a hyper-dramatic high-speed chase to get to the hospital on time?"

"Because firstly that's really dangerous, and secondly uhh that plan might not work out anymore..."

"Hey Tropes! What's up? And- wait a second, Chey's in labor? How do you guys know that? She seems fine to me." Knife says this oblivious to Chey's screams of pain.

"We've decided to give birth at home."
"The Mechanoid will be the midwife."
"He's been studying very hard to become a legitimate midwife, hence why we haven't seen much of him recently."
"I sure have! And I graduated too."
(Garfunkel points at his diploma, framed and hanging on the wall.)

"Alright! I was planning on making you some baby food via lightning! Here goes nothing! Let's see here. I'll need 4 bananas, 7 apples, 10 pears, a regular potato, 100 sweet potatoes, a green bean, 50 peas, a hamburger patty, around 500 blueberries, a peach cut in half, 12 mangoes that were grilled yesterday, a butternut squash, some green peppers, an entire carrot farm, and avocado toast."

"Oh, okay that's good then."

I turn back to playing my video games.

"Man, good job, Bus-driving Mechanoid! Or should I saw, Baby-delivering Mechanoid?"

Tropes sounds extremely sentimental as he says this. He then turns to Knife.

"Okay so, you know Mr. Foster, the crazy old guy with no known relatives or, like, friends?"

"Yeah, I've seen Mr. Foster around. What about him?"

"Is he the parent?"

"No, no no, Playing. Well, the really neat thing is, he died the other day!"

“Oh no, a baby. Say hello to sleepless nights, everyone!”

Custard comes out of her room once again.

"Why'd no one tell me the lil meatball's coming now?"
