"Alrighty" Nakijin comes into the diner with two plates in his hands. One having a bowl full of rogan josh on top, the other having the bakarkhani

"Here you guys, go. If you need me I'll be in the back making sure my illustrious owner doesn't pass out from the fumes again" He says smirking at Anjana

Still worried about White, but unsure what else to do for now, I sit back down and dig in.

"Thank you, I practically had to train Naki not to burn it" Anjana says jokingly

"And I had to wonder whether you knew how to use seasoning." Nakijin spats back almost immediately

I chuckle at the servers' antics.

"Hmmm. That's so weird, though, how she just... Disappeared. Like... That's not something that happens a lot around here... Right?"

"I mean, there was that time when we were in the Victorian era and I just went missing."

"You did?! Did the Ripper get you?"

"No. I just got side-tracked looking for meat pies."

"Yeah, this is pretty good!" Zanreo says as she takes a bite. "But yeah... wonder where she went?"

"A lot of people go missing 'round here, niño" Abelino interjects

"It's just that...." He tilts his head down

"Oh, heh. Well, maybe this is just something like that again, then. Hopefully."

"Huh? What is it?" I perk up towards Abelino.

"Most of them are like us, niño" He says raising his arm out to Jaya, Nakijin, Anjana and Aoife

"the Raleighs" Aoife says forebodingly and full of anger

"We don't kno-" Anjana tries to interject but she is interrupted by Aoife

"Like hell we do, Those boys and girls go missing by that damn house, every time on the radio!"

Puma comes in, dressed like Conrad Veidt as Gwynplaine.

"Hi guys! I swear, I must've ended up at Hollywood first or something."

"Hey Puma! Nice of you to join us. Now what's this about a... Raleigh?"

"The Raleighs" Nakijin starts

"They're this "family" or at least that's what they call themselves of upper middle-class whites. A lot of kids have been going missing 'round their house up in Ulster County."

"A lot of Blacks and a lot of Browns" Abelino says

"Most of kids that have died there are nances or bulldaggers, too"

I try to decipher some of the words they're using, but I get the gist of it.

"So if it's clear who's doing it, why haven't they been caught? The police-"

Just then, a voice speaks up from the back of the diner.

"The police aren't gonna do anything." The voice comes from a man sitting by himself in the back, wearing a wide-brimmed hat. "You heard the man. Lotta Blacks and a lotta Browns. The police couldn't care less about 'em."

The man then gets up, grabs a chair, and moves closer to our table, turning to face Abelino and Aoife. His features are rugged, but welcoming, his skin the color of cinnamon.

"That Raleigh house is a bust, though. They're nasty people, those Raleighs, but they aren't serial killers. 'Least not from what I've found."

"But, where are my manners? The name's H.G. Minecraft, Paranormal Detective. I've been looking into this case for a while."

I stifle a laugh at the name Minecraft.

Leaf fiddles with her lavaliere for a bit, and then speaks. "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Minecraft." She's really trying not to chuckle at that name. "So, what can you tell us about 'them'?"

"See, I told you they couldn't verify that it was them" Anjana says while stroking Aoife's back

"It still doesn't add up how all those bodies are up in Ulster like that" Aoife says defeated

Meanwhile, Nakijin goes to prepare the vindaloo and naan that Chey requested.
