Needs Help: Hitodama Light

Hitodama Light was just launched, and while the current isn't bad, the focus is much more on the ghost than the hitodama. With that, ~Memers found some more pics for alternates: 1, 2◊, 3◊. Thoughts? I like the second and third best.

I like 1.2 out of the three in post 1, but there's nothing in those pictures to indicate why the lights are there. The current picture at least establishes the flame and ghost at the same time.

The trope description says that hitodama are blue, but they're green in all those pictures. Does that matter?

Green blue and purple are all degrees of the same color family in Japanese, 'Aoi'. The Japanese word for green is 'Midori' which is akin to saying 'periwinkle blue'

Having more than the lights hurts the image, the lights are showing that something is wrong and that's the trope. Akin to Sweat Drop.

This trope is used nowadays to show extreme depression and possession among other things as well, it's not just ghosts.

Well, Green Is Blue. But the colour isn't extremely important to the trope.

If I had to guess at why hitodama lights are used with Corner of Woe, it would be a reference to ghosts. Ghosts can possess people, which is why Hitodama Light mentions the use for possession. The depression is being equated to being possessed. Therefore, the depressed person is being shown "possessed" by their depression.

I was going through the Ghost Lights TRS thread again, and came across Memer's old post: Page 2

I really liked this one◊, showing the ghost walking through the door as well as the lights. this one◊ is at least in colour, and has a good "ghost pose" with the missing legs. 3◊ and 4◊ are also nice, despite the awkward angle/size for the prime character.

Oh yeah Invaders Of The Rokujyouma, any of these work?
