  • Identity: Danyel Devon & Washington Adams, Heroes, SUD Officers
  • Equipment: Standard SUD gear: the protective black-and-gold uniform, a regular issue stun-gun, and a (shared) moped.
  • Description:
    • Danyel: An average-sized girl with dark skin. Has little in the way of "assets". Her cheeks are round, and her face is rather compact, with her eyes, nose, and mouth all being small. She keeps her hair cut close to her head.
    • Washington: A lanky man with big feet. He's got a head of red hair, cut and styled in a neat crew cut. He has a long nose, thin lips and long eyelashes (not insanely long but they're there is what I mean).
  • Personality: Being best friends and partnerns, Danyel and Washington share a few personality traits. They both have a passion for justice and the morally-right, and never ignores danger if they can help it. Both have a fondness for fast food and pop music. Of course, they are still two different people; Danyel goes about her job with a bit of an aggressive streak, not taking any bull for anyone, no matter who they might be, while Washington is a bit more lax on his duties and, at times, nervous about going up against the bigger threats. While Danyel prefers to hit people with the book as often as she can, Washington would rather give them a stern talking-to and setting them straight with words. Danyel always drives.
  • Background: Their friendship starting back in preschool, Danyel and Washington have done everything together. From going to the same college to being in the same careers to even double-dating more than should be normal, the two were inseparable. When the SUD started up in Utopii, the pair decided to do a bit of volunteer work to help with the greater good. Several years later and they have become a hard working pair within the force. Being put on Frankie's case once he had cropped up, Danyel and Washington have seen their fair share of insanity very recently, and have always had to deal with Frankie's utter nonsense whenever something happens. Being the most trustworthy people to look after him, the pair were stationed within Easton along with Frankie and his friend, acting as his parole officers while also being able to lend a hand to the ever-growing chaos in the city.

Bit of a short app, but considering it's for a Those Two Guys situation and they won't be front-and-center a whole lot, I was thinking it'd be fine. If not, well, there's an edit button.

  • Identity: Tyson Webber, Hero, Public, PI
  • Powers & Abilities:
    • Android Strength and Reflexes - Stronger and Faster than the average human, Tyson uses this to great advantage in direct hand to hand combat
    • Android Durability - Tyson can take a bullet far harder than any squishy human, and in Easton. That's a big advantage considering all the supers, but like all androids Tyson must be physically repaired as he has no self healing abilities.
    • Computerized Aiming - Great for making those quick shots
    • Analytical Skill - As a Android designed to be a detective, Tyson is quick on the uptake and capable of connecting clues that don't seem obvious until they work together before others. TLDR he's smart.
    • Electrical Weakness and EMP - Shorting out Tyson's systems
    • Weapon Choices
  • Description: Chalk Skin, Sapphire Blue Eyes, black overcoat, porkpie hat, red tie, black undershirt
  • Personality: Reserved and deadpan, Tyson is a "on-the-job, off-the-job" kind of person, on the job he's to the point and blunt with bouts of dry wit, rarely cracking that persona, off the job he tries to be more friendly and crack less deadpan jokes at his clients and enemies. Gets along fine with his "Brothers" and wholly embraces his anachronistic style.
  • Background: Tyson was built by a german engineer who had moved to Easton named Darius Webber, Darius had built several androids before thanks to the Bates Android design blueprints, all dedicated to music. Tyson was built for more problem solving and combat, and was as such built as a detective. Tyson enjoys the work and likes investigating, finding whole new avenues of oddities in Easton.

Got a villain concept I don't want to forget, so here.

Identity: Mia & C'Torozar, Villain, Public

Powers & Abilities: As the host of a powerful demon prince, Mia has very minor reality warping powers (creating astral constructs, summoning minor demons, minor psionic power). She's still a little girl, and despite having some seriously powerful regeneration, she still has the physical capabilities of one. C'torozar, the demon prince, has these on a much larger scale, but his only anchor to this world is the girl, so, on Earth, he would only have a fraction of the power he has in his home plane.

Description: Mia is a fairly normal looking little caucasian girl, around 5-8 years old. She has brown hair, red eyes, and wears a yellow dress that never seems to get dirty despite her living on the streets. When under the direct control of her demonic patron, her skin turns corpse gray, her eyes glow yellow and lose the iris and pupil, and her voice is disturbingly distorted.

Personality: Mia's is very typical of a young girl, much laughing, playing, smiling, and singing. She affectionately refers to her demonic patron as "daddy", and tends to disturb those around her.

C'Torozar is, to be frank, a dick. He's overconfident, snarky, and arrogant, but he genuinely cares for his host, and not just as his gateway into this world.

Background: Mia was orphaned at a very young age. After she ran away from the orphanage, she ended up on the streets, where she cheated death daily. It was a struggle just to survive. That all changed when she heard the voice in her head.

C'torozar has been alive for thousands of years, and he's beginning to initiate his grand plan that's been centuries in the making. That plan? To sow enough chaos and death on Earth to allow him to cross into this realm and make it his domain forever. However, he cannot do this himself, because on Earth, his power means diddly-squat. He would have to make a deal with a mortal to act as a conduit for his power. But who would be stupid or desperate enough to give his/her free will to a demon...Hoe about that little girl whose life has been incredibly hard? She might receive it well.

Blood Mage Apologist
#465: May 5th 2017 at 11:26:15 AM

Identity:

Malak of the Unseelie Court.

Aliases:

Riddle Whisperer, The Kind Hearted, Standard Breaker.

Alignment:

Neutral.

Species:

Faerie Drake.

Age:

3219. (Roughly twenty by Drake standards.)

Description:

Malak has four legs, and a set of wings. His tail is somewhat long, and it tapers to a whip-thin end; he has two white horns that start at the back of his head. His muzzle is full of needle-sharp teeth, and his eyes are a bright orange. Malak’s armor-like scales are a variety of blue and green shades, and sometimes shift when you aren’t looking. His biggest size is around that of a large car.

Personality:

Malak is surprisingly nice for a Faerie Drake. Where other Faerie creatures usually suffer from Blue and Orange morality to a great extent, he’s much more level-headed than a lot of higher-ranking Gentry fae. Of course, “much more” doesn’t mean “completely.”

Over the course of his long life, he's played many, many roles. Some of them he's come to regret, and others... not so much. He used to be extremely unpredictable, and could be a terrible monster or a gracious guardian depending on the year.

Nowadays, he's mellowed out a lot, and is in general, a lot nicer. And by nicer, I mean "he won't eat you unless you try to kill him a bunch."

Powers & Abilities:

-Sleep Breath:

By exhaling a powerful breath, Malak can breathe a cloud purple and blue mist. Anyone that breathes said mist in feels drowsy and sleepy, and people with less strong constitutions may find themselves falling unconscious and drifting off to a pleasant sleep.

-Draconic Nature:

Technically, Malak isn’t a true Dragon, and as such he isn’t nearly as big as a normal one. That doesn’t stop him from sporting the features of one- his armor-like scales can protect him from most physical attacks, and he’s resistant to psychic ones. He can also use his size and strength to battle foes, and his claws and teeth can cut through most things. Granted, this depends on what size he is at the moment, but in his larger form, he can hurl cars like rocks.

-Fae Drake:

Being a Fae comes with ups and downs. The latter are listed in the “weaknesses” section. The more positive side of things are great, though. Malak can shift his size from his normal one (roughly bigger than a small car) to the size of a small cat. However, shifting to a bigger form won’t work very well if he’s in a room too small for him. He can also travel through clear pools of water to his lair.

Weaknesses:

-Inhuman

Some monsters and some Fae at least look human. Not so with Malak- he is very, very obviously not a human, or any normal animal. In his small size, he’s less noticeable, but when in his normal form, it’s a lot easier to notice the huge green and blue dragon battling the supervillain in broad daylight.

-True Name

If you know Malak’s true name, you can force him to do almost anything. There are a few things that you won’t be able to get him to do under any circumstances, but you can basically make him your (very snarky) servant if you do manage to get him to tell you his true name. The downside to this is that it probably won’t last for very long- his true name changes when his personality and being does, but that lasts long enough for you to have a powerful Fae “ally.”

-Of Two Worlds:

Things that hurt dragons specifically also hurt Malak. Things that hurt Fae also hurt Malak. The most common thing able to hurt him badly is Cold Iron, but there are a few things- such as Dragonsbane- that are less common, but equally dangerous.

Background:

Malak has experienced a bit of everything in his long life.

His home lair is a cave in the Labyrinth of Thorns, a deadly maze of every monster and creature you can imagine.

New things pop up every day there, but he's been a constant for a while. People seeking council and help have often sought him out, and many lost their lives trying to get to him.

The ones that made it found different things depending on what he felt like at the time. A monster, a helper, a savior. Sometimes even a companion or lover.

Now, he's a bit sick of playing a stationary role. So he's decided to slip into Easton to see what the mortal realm has to offer.

And to get away from Mab. He doesn't really like her. Bitch.

Not Leera. She'll have a sheet later.

Marutahr:

Identity: Xalr, surviving Kaydenite. Hero (though sometimes deeps into Villain. Will be explained below).

Powers and Abilities:

Kaydenite physiology: Xalr has powers of normal Kaydenites.

Matter mixed with joy magic: She can create weapons from matter, however they are a bit different in nature. They are mixed with joy magic. She herself is made with matter mixed with joy magic.

Appearance: Typical jester: white skin, silly mask and clothes. She is slender with short green hair and unnaturally red lips. When Marutahr is in charge, her eyes glow purple with shades of green, while when Xalr's in charge, but extremely excited, her eyes glow green.

Personality: Finds joy in helping people. It makes her... excited, to say the least. However, there is "Marutahr" inside that compels her to commit heinous acts. Xalr is in constant conflict with her dark side, that is why she tries to spread genuine happiness... to win against "Marutahr". Also, an avid fan of animes. Despite what many might think of her, she is composed and calm, but not cold.

Background: After Planet X got destroyed, Xalr arrived in a dimension that was filled with deviance and excess. She was tempted by the voices around her. The world itself was corrupt to the core. She began to enjoy the deviance. In fact, she was so infamous for it that she was called "Marutahr"... until she came across the boy called Jesting Jester. At that moment, Xalr resurfaced and suppressed Marutahr. Comapssion and pity... These were the reason she returned to her senses.

Finding a portal that led anywhere, she escaped with Dexter and arrived in this dimension. She sent Dexter to Facility Kappa, while she stayed in Easton, trying to redeem herself by doing good.

Also, a Leitmotif.

I'll introduce this character properly after my break, but here.

Grand Councillor of Kayden

  • Identity: Akir Tume, aged 2,500. Ex Grand Councillor of Planet Kayden. Villain.

  • Powers and Abilities:

    • Kaydenite physiology allows him to survive even the most destructive situation. He has complete control of every particle in his body, and his consciousness is stored in each particle individually. He is also much stronger and faster than a human.

    • Incredibly adept with Artificial Hardlite. His skill is so much that he can create and raise pillars of Hardlite from the ground under his opponents, provided that he had converted those sections of the ground to Hardlite beforehand. If he forcefully adjusts his regulator, he can transform into the four different states of matter like Rine. However, he is not as skilled as Rine in controlling his regulator, as it is an external device on him. He is also unskilled with shooting plasma barehand, therefore he carries his plasma gun. He can create an absolute number of 75 Warrior Copies. (The more there are, the weaker they get.)

    • Carries a heavy-duty Temperature Regulator, along with a plasma pistol for emergencies. The regulator enables him to survive even in extreme environments, including the likes of the Void, while the gun is standard issue to prevent assassination attempts.

  • Weakness:

    • He shares the same weakness as all Kaydenites: extreme temperature change. If his regulator is removed and/or destroyed, he could be killed due to climate change. Another weakness is total destruction of every particle of his body, although it is not as easy.

    • He is also psychologically damaged, arrogant, and harsh. He believes he is unbeatable, and is prone to fits of emotional breakdowns. It is so severe he seems to be developing a split personality.

  • Description: Takes the appearance of an elderly man with white hair and wrinkled skin. His eyes glow white, a common side-effect of Artificial Hardlite manipulation. Height 5"4, which he uses to his advantage, causing his enemies to underestimate him.

  • Personality: Harsh, cold, and cruel. Willing to sacrifice innocents to protect his title. He is also arrogant, and refuses to relinquish his title of Grand Councillor despite the destruction of Kayden. There is little to be redeemed of him, and he is incredibly unstable.

  • Background: Akir was an adept young man, who had everything he could ask for. He was arrogant, charming, and thought the world should bow to his whim. This all changed when his father, the then Grand Councillor Kone Tume, was killed by a rogue Voidwalker. This caused him to harshly execute the Voidwalker in public, starting a centuries long feud between the Kaydenites and the Voidwalkers. The Rift Event occurred millennia afterwards, sending him to Dimension 573. Upon exploring the planet he was on, he discovered a Corporation settlement, with a working Rift Ripper inside. He activated it, sending him plummeting to Easton. Now, he has been hiding in the warehouses on the docks, waiting for his chance to reclaim his glory, along with the planet.

  • Leitmotif: [1]

Identity: Leo Wyld (pronounced "wild", real name Leonard Jones), Hero, public

Occupation: Rock Star

Powers & Abilities: His magic Gibson Double-Neck guitar can summon spirits from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with different effects manifesting depending on the song he sings. He can also use the same guitar to fly.

Description: Long hair dyed black, Typical rock star clothing, (mostly black pleather), Wears shutter shades. Rather distinctive tatoos all over his body save for his face, most of them with a lion motif. Smokes like a chimney.

Personality: SKIDDILYWOOOOOOOW! Leo Wyld is pretty aptly named. He's spontaneous, boisterous, and may or may not need rehab. Unlike many rock stars out there, he does it for the music, man.

Background: Leo was born to overprotective parents in one of Easton's better neighborhoods. Nobody really knows what drove him to delinquency, but after he accidentally put his dad in the hospital, he promised to clean up his act. He was a huge fanatic of rock and roll, so, both as a way to emulate his heroes and distract himself from his vices, he began teaching himself to play the guitar. This went on for a few years. Hearing him playing one day, Leo's best mate Francis suggested he start playing public venues. So he did, and realized that it was actually pretty fun, and gave good money to boot. So, he continued to do so, until he caught the attention of a record label talent scout. With his talent with the guitar and unique singing technique he dubbed "the Lion's Roar", He got himself a lucrative contract and international fame. In fact, his most recent single, "Into the Wyld", just hit number one on the charts.

Also, he saved a magician's life, and the magician enchanted his guitar.

All right, here is finally my new character. Let me know if there's anything wrong with it, Sijo and I have been coming up with ideas for this one and he's been a big help.

  • Identity: Jacob Cross, "Metallic Man II", hero, engineer, keeps his heritage a secret but it is well known in the family
  • Powers & Abilities:
    • Jacob is a mechanical genius. He is incredibly gifted with working with engineering tasks, especially robotics and computing. He got a master's degree in engineering from Langston University. He relies on his mechanics to augment his fighting ability, so his physical prowess is somewhat lacking, though he has studied basic martial arts in order to potentially rectify this.
    • Metallic Man has no powers of his own. His 'superpowers' come from the metallic suit he has made, modelled after the suit worn by the original Metallic Man from the 1940s. Regardless, even if it was based on that mold it has gone under substantial modifications.
    • Metallic Man's suit is enhanced with servomotors, allowing him to lift over a ton. The armor is made of a titanium alloy, rendering it tough and immune to small arms fire or even low-yield explosives. Because it is made of titanium it is not mangetizable, and Jacob has insulated the suit from water and electric shocks.
    • The suit continuously generates a magnetic field, mostly around Jacob's legs, though he can concentrate the suit's energy towards his hands if he must do climbing upon metallic surfaces. This means that the suit effectively "glides" over the ground, meaning he doesn't break floors around him.
    • The suit can fire off a retractable copper wire, allowing him to ensnare opponents, climb sheer surfaces, and even send electricity through it to deliver a taser-like shock to stun opponents.
    • The suit can release a jet of oil to blind opponents or make an area slippery to stand on.
    • The suit can let off a magnesium flare to light up dark areas, blind opponents, create a signal, or even light his oil ablaze.
    • The suit's goggles glow and light up, allowing Jacob to see in the dark, and to light up dark passageways.
  • Description: Jacob on right, Metallic Man on left
  • Personality:
    • Jacob is highly intelligent and confident in his field. However, he is often somewhat scatterbrained and easily gets distracted by feats of awesome engineering prowess. When fighting a particularly impressive machine, he will spent half of his energy fighting it and the other half admiring and examining it.
    • He can be fairly talkative, especially when it comes to subjects that he is proficient, knowledgeable, or interested in.
    • He is friendly to others, and noble in his pursuit of his heroism, though he is rather excitable.
  • Background:
    • Jacob Cross was born to Andrew Cross and Mary Langston Cross in Easton. Mary is the daughter of Jeremy H. Langston, the original Metallic Man and founder of Langston University. When Metallic Man retired from hero work and went to work at the university, he gifted his Metallic Man armor to Mary and told her to keep it safe. Jacob was born as the oldest of three children, having a younger brother and a youngest sister. When he was 12, he discovered the Metallic Man armor in a hidden room in the basement of their house, and he asked his mother about it. She told him about her father, Metallic Man, and how he fought as a member of the Glory Guard, many years ago.
    • Jacob was excited about the prospect, and from that moment forward he sought to continue his grandfather's legacy. It was at this point where he took up his interest in mechanics and engineering, throwing himself into his science and math classes at school and joining the robotics club. When he graduated from high school, he was given a scholarship for Langston University due to his high marks, and he eventually started taking classes at LU.
    • At this point, he had begun work on enhancements and modifications to the original plans for the Metallic Man suit, improving on the technology of the original suit while keeping its core aesthetics and 'personality'. When he graduated, he began working for Omnitech as a robotics engineer. Jacob's day job is working on engineering at Omnitech, but when danger is afoot he suits up and heads out as Metallic Man, the new hero of an old legacy.

Oh hey look, a dragon

  • Identity: Cyrus
  • Alignment: Neutral-villain.
  • Job: Enigmatic Observer, occasionally Enigmatic Interferer.
  • Powers & Abilities:
    • In his human form, not much. He’s still as hard to kill as one would expect a massive dragon to be, but otherwise he’s just a normal human in very good shape.
    • That said, he is basically immune to extreme heat.
    • However. In his dragon form, things change. His chest is about as hot as a blast furnace - standing under him is not recommended. His flame breath can melt stone. He can fly, and is surprisingly agile for a massive dragon. Also the standard repertoire of dragon attacks, claws, bite, tail slam, etc. The downdraft from his wings can blow away a small car if he’s flying very low to the ground.
    • He is also a reasonably good spellcaster, though he was vastly more powerful before he gave Winter her Resurrective Immortality.
    • He is, however, a dragon, and vulnerable to things that specifically harm dragons.
  • Description:
    • In his human form, Cyrus takes the appearance of a tall man of Persian or Arabic descent, with long, grey hairy drawn back into a ponytail, and a reasonably long, but neatly trimmed similarly-white beard. He usually wears a dress shirt and slacks with combat boots and a WWI-style trench coat, and carries a sword cane.
    • In his dragon form, Cyrus is absolutely massive. He has a 100-foot wingspan, and a body to match, being almost 60ft from snout to the tip of his powerful tail. He is primarily a red dragon with occasional golden scales. The most striking feature is that he has not two eyes, but six, each a glowing orb that looks like molten gold.
  • Personality: Cyrus is calm, self-assured, and patient. If nothing else, he can be near-assured that his plans will come to fruition… eventually, simply by outliving his rivals. One quirk of his is that he abhors angels and demons and the like. He’s also rather old-fashioned, believing in Sacred Hospitality and such. Though he is somewhat mystified by racism, sexism, homophobia, etc, finding the entire practice idiotic. the irony that his opinions on demons and angels are much the same is lost on him. He, of course, has a good reason for his hatred of them.
  • Background: Age: Really. Fucking. Old.
    • Cyrus is, above all, a Time Abyss. If one takes his claims at face value (and, to his credit, nobody has found any evidence to disprove them, though he has not produced much in the way to support them) he is older than the current universe. He gets annoyed when people ask him about what certain historical figures were like, as if being old enough to have met them obviously means that he must have done so.
Regardless, he’s old. He’s lived through the entirety of human history and remembers the world before it cooled. Where he comes from is a mystery, possibly his claims are correct and he is older than the universe. More likely, however, he is simply from another plane of existence and simply staggeringly old, as opposed to near-impossibly old.
Some time in the middle ages, he managed to piss off an angel acting as a knight errant. History knows him as Saint George the Dragonslayer. Well, that fight didn’t go nearly as far in Saint George’s favor as history would make it out to have, i.e. he lost, and the maiden that Cyrus had “taken” was actually his bodyguard, Winter, - the people of the town just didn’t like him as their ruler. He was a harsh ruler, but a fair and generally just one, if somewhat distant. Cyrus got the last laugh, however, because the town was sacked by a rival noble’s army shortly after as they squabbled over a successor.
Also, he hints at being the Cyrus (the Great, first Achaemenid emperor of Persia). Again, he has produced no evidence to point to this, however.
  • Other: Leitmotif: Eredin’s Iron Wrath, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Aaaaand aforementioned bodyguard.

  • Identity: “Winter”
  • Alignment: Neutral-Blue
  • Job: Bodyguarding a Badass
  • Powers & Abilities:
    • Millenia of combat training. She is an expert in most forms of personal combat, from swordsmanship to sharpshooting. She can also drive a tank.
    • Fey. She is, on average, quicker and more agile than a comparable human. However, she is vulnerable to cold iron, like all fey.
    • Not quite of this world. She can blink through the Fey for short distances, acting basically as a teleport which requires line of sight with a range of about 30-40 feet.
    • The Ageless. Winter, as far as anyone can tell, cannot permanently die, though being killed by something forged from, for example, cold iron will delay her resurrection. Additionally, unlike most fey which merely live a very long time, due to the same spell she no longer ages.
    • Equipment: She carries two greatswords, one forged from silver, the other from steel, and an MP 5 A 1, which she has numerous magazines of special ammunition for, including magazines with bullets forged from cold iron, bullets dipped in holy water, bullets forged from silver, and bullets to counter most other common monster weaknesses.
  • Description: Winter wears a suit of enchanted plate armor, which combines the bullet resistance of heavy kevlar armor with the slashing and piercing resistance of well-made plate. This armor is glamered, and how it usually looks is the classic secret service outfit, sunglasses and all. This is slightly offset by the fact that she carries two greatswords belted to her hip, one silver, one steel, but. She herself is obviously not human - her features are very sharp, and she has obviously long and pointed ears. Her eyes are a brilliant purple
  • Personality: Like most fey, Winter falls squarely into Blue-and-Orange Morality. She prides honor above all, and will never tell a lie. She won’t always tell the full truth, or put it in the plainest of words, but she will not outright lie, to her knowledge. She has absolutely no romantic feelings for Cyrus - and has killed a man in a duel for suggesting so. Believe it or not, this is the expected response, back home. She does, however, respect him greatly.
  • Background: Age: Also rather old, though not nearly to the extent of Cyrus.
    • The Sidhe knight of the Unseelie Court known only as Winter started life rather uninterestingly, playing politics in the court. Eventually, she met a man known as Cyrus. Or, rather, a dragon known as Cyrus. What went on between the two is unknown, but she ended up swearing an oath to serve him until the end of his days. Fully knowing that could be a very, very, very long time. She has served him faithfully since, and he expended a large amount of his magic power to grant her Resurrective Immortality, so as to allow her to keep her oath.
  • Other: Leitmotif: Ciri’s Theme, Witcher 3

No problem. I've edited my signup to put Omnitech as the company where Jacob works at.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

@Izshta: Because they are closely connected I'll approve them, but please try to post characters in separate posts from now on (for linking purposes).
