Okay, Bianca's redesign is actually legit. Most of them I've been luke-warm-to-okay with but Bianca's new design is one I can honestly say I 100% love more than the original.
Stays true to the character while still being visibly different. Was worried they were gonna turn her into a stage magician like the GBA games did, so this is a pleasant surprise.

The fan-game Spyro: Myths Awaken has been handed a Cease and Desist by a law firm. I was not expecting that. I'm surprised. I've never heard of a Spyro game getting a C&D.
...Oh, I didn't know Bianca's design was revealed. I'm so relieved it's true to form. I was worried they'd give her hair or something. But it seems like everyone but Sheila has more-or-less the exact same design. It makes Sheila stand out in a bad way. Either change everyone or keep them all the same.
I mean, it's not really surprising. The remake is getting closer to release and if it does well, there's a chance the series as a whole may be revived.
Now, I don't claim to know a lot about copyright laws so I may be wrong on this but from what I understand, this, unfortunately, means that because of quite frankly idiotic and outdated copyright laws, anything that could be a threat to the IP has to be C&D less whoever currently owns it risks losing their rights to it.
It's dumb but unless the copyright laws themselves change, not much can be done about it. :/
I love how the redesign gives her a Badass Adorable edge, which is just going to make her Adorkable, Minion with an F in Evil self all the more lovable.

Fair warning, the entire Reignited Trilogy has already been leaked early and someone's already doing a 100% walkthrough of it on You Tube.
There probably won't be too many relevant spoilers considering its a remake but, still, be warned.
I got my copy today and played through the first world of the first game.
I don't remember it being this easy when I was a girl...
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI really hope the rumors are true and the remaster ends up coming to the Switch. The series has always been on my radar and it'd be perfect for the system.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I got the remaster for my PS 4! Only playing first one so far, but looks so cool!
Question: is this a bad game because I'm bad at it, or am I bad at it because it's a bad game? Because Sunny Flight is proving quite literally impossible. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm following what the guide says to do but I still either mess up somewhere or run out of time.
EDIT: Nope, never mind, beat it. It was just the guide that was wrong. Looked up another one on YouTube that did the chests first. Beat Toasty too, though not without dying a few times to those stupid dogs and the goddamn shepherd dudes. Now at Peace Keepers being mooned by Gnorcs.

FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fate/Samurai RemnantMight be common knowledge by now, but that's actually not her original voice actress. It's Cassandra Lee this time.
Indeed it is. I feel a bit ashamed I didn't realize that at first cause she sounded very much like the original actress.
So, I don't have any proof myself but one of my friends who follows sells said that the Reignited Trilogy was apparently the number one selling PS 4 game of its first week, managing to out beat Red Dead Redemption 2 somehow.
Sounds like a good sign. Whether that's good enough for Activision to consider letting Toys for Bob make a proper sequel is still up in the air.
Just picked up the trilogy yesterday and started playing properly today. I've come to the conclusion that I never actually played Spyro 1 - I only ever played it at my cousins' house, and I think they might have only had 2.
I've been trying to 100% things so far, which I'm sure will bite me in the ass eventually - Sunny Flight was already a bit tense, and that's world 1.
It's been fun.Wow. High Caves is actual garbage.
It's been fun.Nah, it is somewhat challengering as it is the place to learn supercharge.
What's up with blaming the levels and not the player anyway?
My only problem with High Caves is the fact that I spent hours trying to get a supercharge just right, only to realise the ledge I was trying to get to was a hint that there's a hidden path to the left where you start. Not something you need to do an insanely precise supercharge to get to.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerMy biggest issue with it (and with the rest of the game, looking at you, Tree Tops) is that the arc of Supercharge jumping can be frustrating, especially in later levels where missing the jump kills you. It's especially frustrating when you graze the edge with Spyro's nose and he's just like 'hmm, nope, just gonna die now'.
Anyway, that's Spyro 1 complete at 120%. The final boss was pretty aggravating, honestly, since I've never liked the thief chases and having to do three of them in a row before platforming over lava, with a reset on death, felt kind of bad. Not gonna bother with the skill points right now.
Moving on to Spyro 2 should alleviate a lot of the frustration I had with the first game. It's where I came into the series and I know it had a lot of quality-of-life improvements.
It's been fun.Tree Tops. That level will forever be in the Hall of Shame for the Spyro franchise.
Right next to the Alchemist sidequest and the original control scheme of Agent 9
Uni catI 100%ed Treetops. And then gave up on 100%ing Spyro 1 thanks to Wild Flight.
Beat Spyro 1 earlier today. It's a good game, but some of the later platforming is evil. On to Ripto's Rage, although due to Thanksgiving vacation I'll have to wait a few days before playing it.
I actually didn't have anywhere near as much trouble with Wild Flight as I did with Night Flight. My suggestion is to go through the arches and get the boats first, then follow the chests into the smaller area where the planes are. Try to identify which direction the two plane rings fly in, so you can fly against them and cut down your time to find the last planes.
It's been fun.I think I might give up on the flight levels outright and go straight for 2 after beating Gnasty Gnorc.
The lack of an uninverted Y axis option makes it unplayable for me.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerBought the game for my PS 4 today, and I've never played a Spyro game before.
Though now I've been looking at a lot of Legend of Spyro stuff and now I'm wondering how that series would look remastered. I bet Elijah Wood would totally be down to play Spyro again.
A Legend of Spyro remaster would basically require a complete overhaul of its gameplay to work tbh. While I'm not opposed to the Legends series, it was not balanced well. Particularly tEN. Six hits should not be required to take down the most basic of Mooks.
Granted, a lot of the problems gameplay-wise could be fixed with a simple leveling system seen in most Action RPGs to offset the problem of enemies getting BS health length as things go on but then there's the possibility of an entirely different problem popping up.
That said, I do feel like we're gonna eventually get LoS elements adapted into the current 'main' continuity if we get a sequel. Reignited trilogy already referenced Ignitus with the dragon statues resembling him and all.
oh no she's cute.
