Something interesting I just learned; Apparently Lucia is now voiced by Jeannie Tirado, who previously voiced Android 21 and is now voicing Female Byleth.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.
That still doesn't sound like a bad choice.
Random thought: If anyone announces new stuff at EVO, when would it be?
After their respective grand finals, usually.
So at the end of EVO, give or take?
I want to say SFV is actually the second to last game this year, so a little before on Sunday evening.
Don't want to give people hope, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the "leak" that happened earlier was just a distraction and the real reveals for Street Fighter V happen at EVO.
Cuz that's just how Ono be sometimes.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Ono took the stage to say that the next big things will be in November and December. They tried to pull things together to have something extra new to show us, but it was just too short notice to make it work.
Honestly, I'm happy with what we got. Two SF veterans and someone who should have been in SF already. I only ask for Rolento on a near continuous basis because he's my favorite character to play as.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireAt the end of the day, I still thought they were still legit choices no matter what some detractors are saying.
It sucks it got leak & it ruin Capcom's thunder.
I picked up poison and Lucia. Lucia with FM(had to rack up like 60,000) and poison I just bought with actual money. They're both pretty cool, though I prefer Lucia more.
Also wow I hadn't really given kolin's theme a full listen and it's easily one of the best tracks in the game. Hers, Zeku, Menat, G, and Karin's are probably my favorites.
Also I learned the guy who composed menat's theme also composed zeku and ed's theme. Dude was on fire.

Apparently Lucia is a New Yorican (Puerto Rican from New York). Source.
She doesn't look the part but i guess that's just to justify her VA
Uni catLol she looks whiter than taylor swift's left buttcheek but w/e I'm down for a puerto rican girl in SF. To be fair there are white puerto ricans(not to mention spaniards having the combination) so it's not totally off or anything.
OMG all this time I thought her "streak" colors were the USA flag but it's actually the puerto rican flag lol. That's so coool, Lucia's rad.
I recently found out that Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li's movie website is still up.
The Protomen enhanced my life. That’s true but Super Aryan Fighter V already has so many blonde characters, a lot of blue eyes that Lucia just kinda gets lost in the mix for me.
Hagger has to finally make his debut in an SF title soon, right?!
The actress seemed to imply in her tweet that the decision to have Lucia use Nuyorican slang was something she suggested to the localization team after being told Lucia is of Puerto Rican descent. It's possible that element of her backstory was something Capcom USA came up with independent of Japan, especially since Lucia obviously already had been designed decades earlier for Final Fight 3.

No kidding. Capcom really needs to diversify their Caucasian character's looks. I mean more brunettes, redheads, black, and even odd colored hairs would be good.
Shadow Lady, a hidden character from Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, has been added into the game as a boss character. More info here and here.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I hate that they put all this effort into these limited time events that require Fight Money entry fees to access. Have them as part of an Offline Challenge mode you can do as much as you want, or put them in as Local Play only characters.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...this so much! Like the fact they aren’t even secret bosses in arcade mode or anything is just, annoying. I don’t want to waste fight money on some limited time, purposely crazy hard boss but it would still be REALLY fun to fight them.
I wonder if they’ll just add a mode for them at somepoint like how they eventually started releasing the event battle skins in bundles
I wanted to add this to That One Attack section in SFV but my grammar is not the best, here is what I put in
- Aside from R. Mika's V Trigger 1, there's a couple of V Triggers that are very difficult to deal with.
- Balrog's V Trigger 1 Crazy Rush is just flat out awful. As the name suggests, he punches multiple times in a row similar to his old super in previous games. What truly makes it bad is that one minor mistake is all he'll need as depending on the meter he can take out half or three fourths of your health with his target combo and canceled into V Trigger 1. Even if your want to defend either high or low, he can use either his TAP or the lower version of his Rush Punch.
- Menat's V Trigger 1 is very infamous for various reasons. She creates 6 orbs that versatile for any situation, whether it's combos, defense or even shut down most player strategies. The saving grace is that it's very complex to do but if used right and it's one of the most deadly V Triggers out there. It was so good that Season 4 nerfed it to having 3 bars instead of 2 but even then it just does about everything.
- Abigail's V Trigger 1 and 2. The first V Trigger makes Abigail Turns Red and gives him a power boost and grants him additional armor frames on not just his Nitro Dash but also his heavy command normals. It can be turned into bait for players and if the player attacks Abigail at the wrong time he can punish them heavily after soaking up some hits and then tearing out a big chunk off the player's health. Then his V Trigger 2 while not as not as bad as his first one but grants him a Juggernaut Head Crush-like attack that has an insane amount of armor frames during the charging start up but said Head Crush has a huge hitbox that's almost impossible to dodge it, the only way to stop this is to time the grab but even then it's a pain to deal with.
- Aside from R. Mika's V Trigger 1, there's a couple of V Triggers that are very difficult to deal with.
I also want to add in M Bison's V Trigger 1 also because how frustrating it is to figure out
Clearly, you must rectify this by writing a fanfic of your own, in which Karin gets beaten and humiliated and her business empire is left in tatters.
But seriously though, I actually agree with you here. :V I get the general impression that the game is perfect at conveying personality traits via things like animations, quotes and in-game actions, but stumbles over its own shoelaces when it tries to attempt more 'traditional' stories. The end results being that the 'in-game' characters can sometimes seem like entirely different entities from the 'in-cutscene' characters.
One of the most baffling examples for me would be Abigail's (AAAABIIIIIII-GAAAAAAAAIRRRRRRRRRRL'S) story. I mean, if you never even touch that story and go solely by how Abigail acts in gameplay, he seems... eccentric, to be sure, but of average intelligence at the absolute worst. Hell, in some of his win quotes he even tells Ed to get therapy, or says he has to go balance his books. But then his story mode throws this out the window and portrays him as a blubbering imbecile who goes on a rampage because he loaned a car to someone and then forgot about it. Like... what? :V
I get the general impression (yep, another one :V) that perhaps some of the writers feel like they're only allowed to go off personality traits expressed in game, hence the Flanderization. I mean, Birdie always going on about food works alright as long as it's kept to brief win quotes and his comical moveset, but when it starts creeping into everything he's in, then, well...
Admittedly, some of the issues with the Shadow Falls story in particular are more common pitfalls faced by 'Netherrealm-type' stories in general. Such as characters on the same side always contriving reasons to fight each other, the protagonists always fighting the same limited set of Jobbers over and over (and in the same limited set of locations, to boot), and the sheer number of characters to cover meaning that some characters are left sidelined or ignored entirely.
