Okay I can’t get over the wig.
It’s that color combined with the curls, it’s not a good combo.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I kind of wonder if the elements of the costume people have problems with would be okay by themselves. Just the wig, just the dress, just the jacket.
Because combined she looks like a character on The Deuce. But at least that show is really good.

I think it's the color that bugs me. It looks like a really cheap dye job. The fur coat doesn't help either.
My problem is that Starfire's costume looks like the costume design crew rolled a 1 after rolling 20's on everyone else. Near to everyone looks spot on perfect, but Starfire looks like she stepped out of SHIELD season 1.
I'm curious as to how Jason's going to work. He's famous for being the edgy Robin, and given that Dick is already edgy as hell in this series...
- Dick: "Fuck Batman."
- Jason: "I know, right?"
Jason's going to be so edgy you'll cut your fingers off just shaking his hand.
Also, this means no Tim. As usual.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. We don't know when they meet. it could be in flashback and it's Jason's death that leads to Dick acting this way.
Cinema Snob's reaction to the photo is great
"Greg you asshole, you put in the wrong address; this isn't comic con!"
Seriously Beast Boy and Raven look like Hot Topic employees. Starfire looks like she woke up and stole a coat from a homeless person or goodwill.
Does the show not have a budget?

I'd argue BB and Raven looking like that works. They can clearly do the superhero look since we have picture perfect Dick, Jason and Dove.
Would that be "Enough money to buy a Ham Sandwich" or "As much money as a Ham Sandwich has in its wallet"?

I do think they spent all their costume budget on Hawk & Dove.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Knives are big no-no for superheroes. Bows and swords, yes. Sometimes a gun if you're feeling edgy and 90s-y. But knives, no.
Oh, unless they shoot out of your knuckles. Then they're ok.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Sharp bat shaped Shurikens seem to be okay!
Don't forget razor rimmed shields.
Honestly, a ridiculous amount of superhero weapons and tools have lethal applications. Complaining about Dove using a knife simply doesn't work.
B.B. looks like he just walked off the set of Descendants.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The complaint is more that Dove, usually a pacifist who abhors violence (or at least avoids it), is now wielding a combat knife and ripping people's faces off.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Using violence and enjoying it are not the same thing. Almost Every superhero abhors violence. By your logic, they're all blood knights.
And as pointed out before, the Dove this version was based on did not avoid violence.

Heh, it is interesting that knives aren't considered particularly heroic. The Knife Nut trope runs deep I guess.
Debate semantics and practicality all you want though, it's very true that seeing Dove wield one is... Weird.
They look like they're about to start a shift at Spencer's.
Unless Tamaranians reproduce asexually.
Edit: How's that for a page topper?
