Ok, no one can make fun of Noctis in Tekken again.

At least Noctis was relevant at the time despite not fitting at all. I know nothing of the Walking Dead but I do know that it's been on ratings decline for years.

Hashil: Do mechanic patches really need a new season? If this is all the content it's gonna get, it's illogical to even call that a "season".

On Negan... Yeah. Harada may want us to pretend Tekken 7 is about some Zombie Apocalypse?

There's probably more than just that, and I'm sure anyone playing will get the mechanic updates for free even if they don't buy the 2nd season pass, consider it'd be kind of impossible to play the game online otherwise.

But at least we got Lei back. They're really going on in his goofy side and I'm not entirely sure if I dig that, but I can probably just customize one of his older costumes onto him anyway.

Lei is a Jackie Chan Expy, so you can at least argue the silliness is from the source.

If nothing else you have to respect the guts of Harada here, I can only imagine how confused anyone not from America's feeling right now.

Of course. It's a core part of his character. But he's never wore it on his sleeves quite this much. His default outfit is usually something graceful and dignified aside from in arguably 4, and even that was pretty down to earth relative to this getup, but than I think costume design in 7 has been pretty adventurous in general, I guess.

I like that all of his stances have Rage Drives though - really helps keep his absurd mix up game online.

Even Americans are confused, judging by the reactions. I try to be positive with games I like, but Walking Dead’s ratings have been in a downward slope for years now.

Okay, if Negan can get in, anybody can! I now want Spider-Man and Mordred as the next Guest Fighters!

I'm actually kind of curious how Tekken would handle a more modern, simple and clean anime-esque character.

Geese and Akuma have been drawn very realistically by illustrators in the past and Noctis is from the photo realistic FFXV, and Negan is likely going to be based on his live action actor. Heck, even Gon's manga is about as photorealistic as manga gets.

Its hilarious how In a twist of fate I had to ask my parents who Negan was and my mom went into immediate fangirl mode about how cool but evil he was. I finally understand what I sound like when I gush about games O_O

From what I understand (from like a ten minute Google search), he's just an asshole with a baseball bat. He's even more boring than I feared.

Yeah if Negan's in the doors are wide open for any possible entry from anywhere.

I'm actually excited. I couldn't care for The Walking Dead, but how they'll handle a character from it is in fact really interesting.

No match for Anna hype though.

It kills me because I just don't see Kiryu following this - the Walking Dead for all its faults has an audience much wider than a niche franchise like Yakuza. It'd feel like dialing back if they circled back around to him.

But whatever. At least it'll be a Noctis situation where most of his moveset will have to be made from scratch, and he won't have any bullshit anime powers.
