That's good, at least. Driftwood is one I'm really looking forward to.

Far be it from me to pass judgment on shows not aimed at my age group, but unlike The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Gross Girls actually does sound like the sort of low-brow material the network is honestly better off without. No big loss there.
So CN doesn't own Swat Kats anymore right?
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. No, they still own the old show.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Yeah, they even referenced it on Uncle Grandpa and Craig of the Creek.
Ahh, so only the new one isn't.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. You're thinking of Thundercats, where they don't own the rights to the 2011 version anymore thanks to a tax loophole.
I really hate that companies can throw away shows to save money. I wish that wasn't allowed.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.I wish they wasted money and went bankrupt.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Exactly. You can't really expect companies to run themselves into the ground by continuing unprofitable shows.
Optimism is a duty. The only additional Cartoon Network news to come out of today's Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront is that Sacha Baron Cohen is developing an animated special.
Set in the mythical Town of Fools and originally told in Yiddish, Chelm: The Smartest Place on Earth shares the absurdist humor and interpretive questioning that is a nod to Jewish intellectual traditions. Narrated by Cohen, the special will present a fresh take on the silly antics and exaggerated conflicts of the town, while also preserving the essence and heart of the classic folktales.
Seems like we're seeing more and more interesting stuff coming out of Cartoon Network lately. Which is both refreshing and a bit surprising, since the current WarnerMedia CEO is notoriously risk-averse.
Sacha Baron Cohen and the King of the Hill creators team up to make a family-friendly TV special for Cartoon Network based on Jewish folklore is never something I expected to hear happening. Look forward to it regardless.
"Detecting trace amounts of mental activity. Possibly a dead weasel or a cartoon viewer"CEO David Zaslav wants to "re-examine children’s programming" at WBD. Apparently, the new leaders aren’t sure children’s content is a good fit on HBO Max, as ratings haven’t been strong. Zaslav "isn’t sold on the current strategy," according to sources.
I am starting to get worried here. If KIDS ANIMATION (Oh the irony!) is not safe on Netflix or HBO Max where is it supposed to go?
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here......Cartoon Network?
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness. You are damn right.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I assume they mean "The Cartoon Network" and not just any old one.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Finding myself thinking about Robotomy tonight. With all of Cartoon Network's experimenting with the TV-PG rating during the early 2010s, Robotomy stands out far more than Regular Show in terms of "are you sure this wasn't meant for Adult Swim?" Which is exactly why it only lasted one season, but an enjoyable season it was.
I’m actually surprised myself that Nick and Disney didn’t think to try experiment with doing TV-PG cartoons seeing as Adventure Time (Which Nick rejected) was doing well alongside Regular Show
Check out Rogues Gallery Transplant: The GameHonestly,I think it's an alien concept to both of them when their brand is mostly aimed at a family audience
Weird to think how Adventure Time was pitched to Nick first though

New theme music also a boxWell, Nick at least had Legend of Korra at the same time, not that they did very much with it. But still, that was at least one TV-PG program on Nick. As for Disney, I've got nothing
The last new TV-PG show on any of the three major kids' networks was Infinity Train, in 2019. And we all know what happened to that. We might be getting more in the future (Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, My Adventures With Superman, Batman: Caped Crusader), but that will depend on what the studio decides is suitable for TV as opposed to streaming.
The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is rated TV-PG, produced by Disney Television Animation, but it's also currently exclusive to Disney+.
Did they have Legend of Korra at the same time? Adventure time's pilot was shown in 2007 on Nicktoons, around when Avatar was still airing, and Legend of Korra didn't debut until 2012 so I feel like there was a pretty decent gap there where they could have looked for more TV-PG animation.
hi
Driftwood and Invincible Fight Girl just announced production positions today, so they're presumably still safe.
Speaking of Michael Ouweleen, it appears he's going to be overseeing the Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels, in addition to his current President position for Adult Swim. He will report to the aforementioned Kathleen Finch, who has reorganized the Kids, Young Adults, and Classics branch of Warner Bros. Discovery.
On the one hand, he's an experienced employee of Cartoon Network. He was an interim president of CN when Christina Miller left, and oversaw and greenlit many of CN's 2000s shows: Ben 10, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Chowder, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Codename: Kids Next Door, and Class of 3000.
On the other hand, any sort of Billy and Mandy revival, or Maxwell Atoms' presence, is less likely now. Maybe other "hateful fart cartoons" too...
