Crossovers are hot nowadays, so what about a kind of "Suicide Squad/Dirty Dozen" sort of group? Or Exiles if you want a more heroic example.

Fate/Primal Lore RP Pitch

Is anyone interested in G Ming a Fate/stay night RP that allows OCs inspired by animal mythology?

The premise goes like this (you can also refine it a little, it's OK):

The Holy Grail is acting up.

Random Servants are popping up all over the place, seemingly without the need for masters (everybody has Independent Action A). But there seems to be a new twist this time. Some Servants seem to be the personification of the myths of animals.

What's happening? Why is this the case?

Three new classes will be added (exclusively for the animal-inspired OCs):

Warrior: Animals embodying martial might (hawks, wolves, tigers, lions, etc). They are Saber, Lancer, Rider, and Berserker all rolled into one.

Sage: Animals embodying mystical knowledge and wisdom (owls, Asian dragons, ravens, etc). They are the Casters of the animal kingdom.

Trickster: Animals embodying cunning/cleverness, stealth and/or mischievousness (magpies, cats, crows, foxes, etc). They are the Assassins and Archers rolled into one.

There might be some overlap between the 3 classes.

Character design: Their names must be their species (Hawk, Wolf, Magpie, Raven, etc). Their designs are basically gijinka. You can make up your own skills and N Ps, but the N Ps have to relate to the animal's myth. All animal Servants can turn into their respective animal.

(Both animal and historical Servants will be using the same character sheet.)

In another one of those, "I would kinda like to run it myself, but running a second RP is off the table" suggestions, I'd really like to see a supernatural road trip kind of RP, especially in the likes of this.

Concept: something akin to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure or Persona, but instead of Stands and, well, Personas, everyone's backed by some Lovecraftian Eldritch Abomination or another, either pre-existing or otherwise. Insanity, death, and existential horror abound as everyone does Crazy Magic Shitâ„¢ that's a lot less magical than what you'd be used to.

I'm kind of craving a supernatural thriller RP, in the vein of Stranger Things and Oxenfree

I recently came up with the idea of a Darkest Dungeon-esque RP. The basic concept is that a group of heroes come to a dying town plagued by various horrors. By going out and dealing with the horrors, they bring life and hope back to the place.

I might try running it myself provided I can come up with enough ideas to make it something other than a happier Darkest Dungeon, but I decided I'd drop it here in the event somebody else was looking for an idea and is more inspired than I currently am right now.

I'd love it if someone would put together a Dresden Files RPG, since I've recently started devouring the books and the world is pretty dang interesting.

I'd join that. Don't have the time to GM a game currently, but I'd join that.

Would someone be willing to GM a D&D 5e one-shot/campaign? Preferably on Discord, since its easier to chat there and they have dice-rolling. I was in three games just a bit ago, but one of them won't start up again until Fall, and one doesn't play very often- so I need to find a new group to scratch that Life Cleric itch xD

It's been a long time in coming, but I've got a Space Western RP in the works. Primarily inspired by Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, with bits of Sparks Nevada, Space Dandy, and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger for flavor and fun.

EDIT: And wouldn't ya know it?

I want a Dragon Ball RP that allows both canon and OC characters.

Just a suggestion.

Basically, I'm thinking about an RP set in a world where everyone spontaneously got a genie that granted them 3 wishes. The genies vary from jackasses to extremely literal people to benevolent to just plain Cloudcuckoolanders. The story takes place in a post-wishes world, where everyone's wishes have (technically) been granted and zany adventures ensue. The main characters happen to be searching for the genies for whatever reason.

Goals happen to be a major theme of the RP, so the character sheet should have a part that lists the ultimate goal of the character after they've found the genies.

It's also a Fantastic Comedy.

@Nodrog: I looked it up since I didn't know what that was, and read a simple summary; I doubt that it would work unless you could find enough players who would be accepting of the fact that their characters will die.

Since even the simplest and fastest kind of RPs here on this forum would probably still take a few weeks or months to get through to completion, it's not so simple to convert anything that is normally played in person, over the course of a few hours at most, to this format. With people already expecting to put that much time into it, they generally get more attached to their characters, since if they weren't attached, they probably wouldn't feel as motivated to continue playing for that long. Therefore it's kind of taken as an unspoken rule of thumb here that usually player characters will have a healthy degree of Plot Armor in some form or another.

So like I said, first there would have to be enough people on board and okay with it that their character's demise is not just a possibility, but a certainty.

And for the record, it doesn't look like my cup of tea so don't count me. I'm just responding for the sake of sharing some advice.

[up]Playing Mafia/Werewolves over in Forum Games went along fine, with players even adding some characterisation and roleplay into the mix during decision times. So I think it could work, if concept is made crystal clear from the onset.

I'll do it. I'm actually running a campaign for a group of irl friends.

I prefer to use my homebrew setting, personally, though I can pull something together from the official one if you prefer.

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.

Whatever you'd prefer, really; I'm not exactly tied to the new one. But yeah, that'd be cool if we could find more players!

EDIT: Planning on playing a Mechanic; likely a Android, if you have those in your setting, or the equivalent.

Homebrew it is!

And Androids are totally a thing, though you'll need to decide which type to be. I'll be more specific in the thread, but basically, Confederate are starfinder standard, Imperial are delicate but graceful, and Pact-world are strong but stupid. I'll get a sign-up thread up as quickly as I can with all the details.

Here's a pitch for a Shin Megami Tensei Game - I need two people willing to help me GM this out. As many of you probably know, I suck at G Ming games. I really want to capture the feeling of everyone kind of falling into different alignments and struggling to deal with this as the situations the players find themselves in slowly escalate in severity.

I've mapped out in the SMT thread the ideas I had for a "Chaos Hero" named Conner, and a "Law Hero" named Luke.

Conner has a very strong inclination toward living without social strata - he's been victimized by the status quo, has seen powerful people who hurt him go unpunished, and he comes from a strictly conservative family - his rebellion against them indicating a strong predilection toward longing for freedom. Conner is dorky, awkward, and initially lacking self confidence - but as he becomes stronger and active, he attains at first a sense of confidence and then more toward arrogance. He still though retains his awkward charm, and strongly respects the right of other people to choose at start and finish - Conner will never force someone to do something they don't want to do. Conner is prone to overreaction especially when his passions burn - he typically ends up more regretting the circumstances he ended up in than regretting his actions themselves.

Luke becomes the head of the Anti-Demon Club when Demons begin showing up all over the city. He's concerned about all this happening due to him having a very vulnerable girlfriend whose child is at risk due to the frequent rampages of demons. He's aware of the injustices inherent in the social order, but believes these can be dealt with by more equally applying the law rather than casting everything out altogether. Luke doesn't want trouble and chaos, because to him these things bring out the worst in people. He's not consumed by hatred for Conner's path, he's concerned for him, worried that he's doing something he can't take back. While Luke is a Christian, he isn't of the religious right sort, in fact disliking Conner's parents. He tends however to prioritize conflict evasion far too much, and will countenance a lot to evade having bad things happen.

We have seen in numerous games the impact that Demons, Angels and Deities have on Tokyo, so my idea with this RP is to bring the Shin Megami Tensei experience to 2018 New York. With this in mind, we can explore the different ways the public and private individuals might handle the emergence of demons and angels, and the impact they have on modern problems and ideas.

In my opinion, your characters should have inclinations at the start, but no full on commitment to one faction or ideology - that should be a development that happens over the course of the RP.

I'm at work developing the sign up sheet's concept, so if any of you have ideas you want to share, please go ahead. When I get enough ideas and the two other G Ms for this, I'll go ahead and make the full on sign up thread with all the information present.

Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.
