Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

Until / unless such a function gets baked into the site, could a rule be added that at least five people have to sign off on a draft by posting a comment (e.g. "Ready to launch") on the TLP?
This was also brought up in the cleaning up complaining thread: VideoGame.Darkwing Duck is an unindexed stub with a complain-y description and no tropes.
That can be sent to the chopping block.
Also, sent a complaining notifier to the creator.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWhile reviewing Imminent Arrivals, I found Stephanie, which has a (brief) two-paragraph description and zero tropes. I've sent notifiers to the page creator, but they created the page in November of last year and haven't been back to the wiki since. The page itself has no wicks to other pages, the only wicks to the page itself are either indexes or wiki project pages. I'm recommending it be cutlisted unless someone wants to take an interest in the film to expand the page.

Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Seconding cutting that page.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportAlso from Imminent Arrivals, I've been trying to convince ~ginsengaddict to expand The Expanse from the unreleased stub page they made.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.A: It's not an imminent arrival, it has been published.
B: I'm not super familiar with gaming tropes.
"Get me a gun, I'm a soldier; but put me in that suit and I'm a superhero." - Gunnery Sgt Roberta "Bobbie" Draper MMCI'd like to bring up Stock Desert Interstate.
It was launched by its OP. Admittedly, it got 6 hats and it was about to be ready, but the OP didn't improve the description despite the fact there were cool suggestions in the comments that could and should be added IMO. Also the OP didn't indicate they were going to launch it this soon.
The OP didn't crosswick the trope at all. It has two wicks, one of it is the index, and both cross-wicking edits were done by someone else — not the OP.
Unlaunch?
Huh... the TLP Guidelines say that crosswicking a launched trope isn't mandatory. Seems it should, at the least, be mandatory either to crosswick it or list it on Pages Needing Wicks.
Weird... You're right. However, when you actually do launch a trope, the guidelines tell you to cross-wick it.
Catching up on older posts... Tendrils of Darkness should definitely be sent back to TLP. The description is way too short and not up to this wiki's standards IMO. And there was no indication it was about to be launched. The launcher did not announce he had adopted the draft.
Magical Girl Academy is a recent work page stub. Creator messaged.
Totalitarian Gangsterism was quietly launched with 8 hats and... honestly, I'm not sure what it's about. It seems to define itself more by what it's not ("Not Neighborhood-Friendly Gangsters") than what it is and the description is meandering so I don't know if it's just "gangsters are mean" or "gangsters are powerful (and mean)" or what. Instead of actually defining itself it just goes off on a bunch of other tropes that may be at play.
And the image is not helping since it doesn't really say "gangster" or anything.
I feel like all of the (valid) criticisms brought up by ~Tropers/4Tell0life4 just kind of got ignored.
I would think a decent trope would be "organized crime has absolute control over an area" is a pretty reasonable trope we don't quite have (with the fact that generally they're not seen as Neighborhood-Friendly Gangsters), but it would need a new name, description, and lose that image.
Honestly, I'd be okay with keeping it, or okay with sending it back. If OP had done crosswicking I'd be more inclined to keep it, but between that, the lack of announcement, and the fact that working a description is much harder wiki-side than TLP-side, I'm definitely preferring to send it back. I won't cry if it doesn't go back, though.
Tendrils of Darkness is so stubby that I don't know why it's split off from Casting a Shadow. I mean, I'm a lumper by nature and yet I actually think that it's theoretically worth splitting... which is why it's so impressive that the description is so bare it actually makes me want it sent back despite thinking it's a worthwhile trope.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Stumbled Into the Plot is pretty bad. It was created in February, last edited in March, has 49 wicks, 14 inbounds, and each folder has about 2-3 examples with the exception being the Video Games folder - and even then, not by much.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢49 wicks really isn't that bad for a trope that existed for almost five months. Not everything has to get on Overdosed Tropes (or even reach one tenth of what that page requires) because not everything happens in a lot of works.
Send back Stock Desert Interstate for that description improvement, though.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I've cutlisted Stephanie. Despite ~ginsengaddict's edits, The Expanse still has only one example and only one valid wick to the page (an index).
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.My issue with Stumbled Into the Plot is the description is bad. Not only is it ridiculously oversized, but it's also weirdly vague (again, opening with what it isn't and then going into Example As Thesis) and outright incorrect (Really, description? The only two ways to introduce a protagonist is via The Chosen One and Stumbled Into the Plot?).
The premise is quite simple, why it has such a long and confusing description is beyond me.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I was more talking about the fact that it hasn't been edited in three months in addition to the overall shortness of it.
I can't believe I forgot to mention the description! Yeah, it's really bad and long. Something as simple as "a character becomes important because they accidentally stumble into the plot" really doesn't need an essay to explain it.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢The only real problem with Stumbled Into the Plot is the description. Rather than unlaunching, could we just take it to the Trope description improvement drive?
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"I don't mind that.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportCould I get some help with Good counterpart.
Despite several tropers vociing concerns on the fact its the exact same thing as Evil Counterpart only inverted. These concerns have been weirdly just swept away.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Queer Creators was launched with -3 net hats without announcing it's about to be launched.
I'm actually on the fence whether this list is a good idea or no, but it's definitely not kosher to launch a trope/trivia/index like this.
Alright, with four people for sending Ring Around The Close Up back, I think we can have a mod unlaunch it.
