Duplicate Image: Nightmare Fuel.Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni

This image is the same one as NightmareFuel.Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. On the latter's page, it even says it!

I don't know if NF pages "count". My immediate default reaction would be to pull the image from the page with a colored background (that one), though.

I think there are more appropriate images that could be found for a page specifically for Nightmare Fuel, too, while it's still tame enough for Horror Anime & Manga.

The only perhaps possible issue I can see is that Higurashi is primarily a visual novel instead of an anime/manga, but that's a real nitpicky concern.

Well, maybe a leetle, but it's a valid argument.

People who aren't a fan of either tend to think of anime/manga=visual novels and vice versa, but they're very different mediums^* Ok, technically it should be "very different media" but just droppit, okay!?. Visual novels are really closer to Video Games than they are to Anime or Manga, although it really depends on the series.

Being unfamiliar with Higurashi, I did a GIS and most of the really creepy ones that we could use looked like fan art...I think it might be easier to find a scary cover for another horror manga for that page.

We could grab something from Hellsing?

Yes. (The one before took me to a 'hosted by minitokyo' page.)

Of those four, I think I like 1 or 2 best. My first choice is still to replace Nightmare Fuel, though (followed by Fuan no Tane as it Needs More Love :P ).

Do we need a crowner? At the very least there doesn't seem to be much consensus even on which page should get the new image.

Since nothing seems to be happening here... I've made a single-proposition crowner for which page image to replace. (I hope I've done this right.)

Single prop crowners are a TRS thing; use https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/crowner_create_subject.php?desc=ImagePickin&subject=XXX for IP crowners, so there can be more than two options (and someone could potentially add more). Each option should be a single image (and "no image" is often also an option, if it makes sense to add that explicitly). No pro/con.

Oh I see, part of the decision-making was which page to pull that from. Took decisive action and pulled it from the NF page (Main has priority I think), and changed the article hooked to this thread to that.

Improving the Horror Anime & Manga image might also be warranted, but recommend starting a different thread for that if you think so; asking two "action" questions at once seldom works.

Crowner for NightmareFuel/HigurashiNoNakuKoroNi, then. I've added some more images from both the anime and manga; annoyingly, I haven't been able to find anything from the visual novel.

For the Higurashi Nightmare Fuel, the first Shion◊ image is good enough. Because if there is one character who embodies the madness of this series, it's her.

That says "crazy" more than "Nightmare Fuel" to me.

Nightmare Face is a form of Nightmare Fuel... and to be fair, the series uses a lot of them, and that is one of the most iconic.

It isn't my personal favourite, though.

Nightmare Fuel is really hard to depict, it's basically Crowning Moment Of Scary and people have different standards for what is scary.

I'm going to abstain from voting on this one because I'm thinking about reading the manga soon and I don't want spoilers.

That is an excellent reason to abstain from voting. :D
