We did. The only imposter game I got ended before I could even kill anyone.
But I didn't die early once!
Meanwhile, me and Saiga managed to win one round as Imposters without killing anybody. It was glorious.
And then for some reason the guy that threw the game was mad at me.
Yeah, that was weird.
He was like, super angry too. Literally spamming death threats in the chat.
Jeez.
If you all want anxiety incarnate, watch Act 2 of this playthrough. You'll know the part I'm talking about.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyBeen watching Violet Evergarden.
It's been a while since I actually liked an anime so much. Everything from the art direction to the story is superb. And it's just so very somber.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - Fighteer...shit, "somber".
I was joining a friend's watch along. Watched episode 1 (though it was buggy). Missed eps 2 and 3, but was gonna catch up.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI see some tropers are playing Among Us now? "Wait up!"
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYes! Just messaged you the room code on steam
And to think, the only reason I knew it was happening was because I happened to open up Steam (which I don't usually keep open) to change my "Real Name" (which I was intending to do last week but forgot).
I've really gotta hurry up and build a computer so I can keep Steam and Youtube open without getting my computer's fan angry at me.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy@wanderlust Late but yes, I've played Three Houses and yes, Fem! Byleth x Edelgard is the best canon ship.
And the best girls are Hilda, Marianne, Dorothea, Petra and Mercedes.
Best boys are.....Dmitri, Felix (except with Ingrid), Ferdinand, Dedue, Claude and Ashe.
Also Lady Rhea x Me is the real best ship.
The Archbishop's hips do not lie. Also I am Cyril.◊
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Never too late for positive, non-sour discourse! What's your overall take on the story, its lords, and its balance or lack thereof?
From the outside looking in, it seems the game has good and fun gameplay, but narratively it's far more ambitious than it had the nuance to pull off. One would want the Lords to just sit down, talk it out, and actually band together against TWSITD, but that wasn't really an option, partly because (correct me if I'm wrong on facts, not opinions):
- On every route except their own, the main characters are given the Conflict Ball, especially Edelgard (who they couldn't help but turn into Emperor Mal-bad, surrounded by Suspicious Viziers and doing shady shit)
- Dimitri and Edelgard were screwed out of supportive development early, messing with their minds. But Dimitri didn't go as far off the deep end with it as Edelgard could, instead channeling it into Taking You with Me at his worst.
- Not everyone is willing to give up something of their own in coming to the table, similar to real world politics
- The system is fucked all around.
Also, some fans hate on each other based on whether or not they hate Edelgard? Let's not. I don't dislike any of the others (Dimitri, Claude, Seteth, Rhea), and have personal reasons to identify with each of their positive and negative takes on each other. I get that Edelgard's a Well-Intentioned Extremist Tragic Villain Anti-Villain who will allow for certain really bad actions if she thinks it will help her achieve the greater good (THE GREATER GOOD). She herself says these things in the game's theme song. I like her because I can see the person she wants to be, if given the choice (also stated in the game's theme).
And yes, Dorothea, Edelgard and Byleth just happen to be strong, assertive, graceful women who are also genuine sweethearts underneath, with a subtle humor, at least one dorky interest, a lot going on upstairs (in more ways than one), sexy tights, are canonically bisexual, and are almost definitely sub-leaning switches. And I like that kind of energy. Sue me.

The sad, REAL American dichotomySometimes I look at my social media, and laugh at people getting into petty beefs. Even though the only thing stopping me from constantly starting petty beefs with people is that I'm lazy and arguing is tiring.
Edible beefs are better than petty ones.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyWho are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?
Marry Christmas to all of you and congrats on almost making it to the end of this godawful year!
I hope none of you caught or had to get tested with Covid. I haven't yet, but my laptop got hit with a ransomware so I had to reformat it. Goddamn it.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Thanks, and Merry Christmas to you too! Merry Christmas for everyone!
Merry Christmas to all!
The sad, REAL American dichotomyMerry Christmas everyone!
@madskillz: I've been watching supports, and reading epilogues and the wiki. It seems a "pacifist" Crimson Flower run is possible:
- The only main character deaths are Rhea, and Dimitri and Dedue (who can die peacefully in each other's arms)
- Claudenote , and Seteth and Flaynnote can be spared
- Gilbertnote , Cyrilnote , Catherinenote , and Hildanote can be avoided
- Everyone else is recruitable (though only Lysithea is recruitable post-timeskip), or doesn't get involved in the war (Raphael)
- The war is the shortest/least violent: Dimitri isn't deposed, Crest Beasts don't happen, only 2 Alliance battles happen, and TWSITD are marginalized, then thoroughly defeatednote
- Everyone has at least one happy ending, paired or unpaired. Pairings
- Edelgard gets her positive reformsnote for: governancenote educationnote , societynote , the Churchnote , and international relationsnote
- Edelgard and Lysithea are cured of their Crest Cancer (per Linhardt and Hanneman), and Byleth gets a heartbeat.
Separately, top 5 best girls: Dorothea (unquestioned number 1), Edelgard, Petra, Marianne, Mercedes (in no particular order). Leonie's really good, too. Bernie and Annette just feel too young (even though Petra and Lysithea are younger).
