Really curious as to how Kong can win, even without factoring in Burning Godzilla from King of the Monsters, but I'm sure it'll be an entertaining throwdown nonetheless.

Yeah, spice is only one factor. A dish has to have an actual flavor underneath it, or there’s nothing but pain to it.

It’s why some hot sauces just aren’t good, and why stuff like Frank’s have a nice taste to them.

Tiny detail I like with the web of relations here, we had Megumi and said Chinese Chick's rivalry in the previous story arc, both having nothing to do with Soma. Their story is resolved and it helps setup her in connection to Megumi to introduce to Soma for this arc. While I know there will be people who always find something to complain about with regards to character handling, it's something I enjoyed in Food War's plotting and use of the supporting cast.

Considering the main naval war in the fandom is between Soma/Megumi and Soma/Erina, lots, I'm willing to bet.

Also yeah, I remember that the food we got here was the result of almost entirely one region Mao was from after Mao lied that all the food Nixon liked was from his home region so he came back praising that region's cooking. Chinese food in America (And probably most other countries.) is basically a poor imitation of a single region's food. That is, if that was all true and wasn't just a story.

@X 2 X Huh. It's the classic Betty and Veronica setup, when you think about it.

In fairness the complaints about character handling has more to do with the supporting cast appearing less and less as the series goes on until only the strict the main characters are the only relevant ones.

@Slim I know it isn't perfect, but it's difficult to say something positive on the internet that one likes without someone wanting to come in and complain at times. Plus who else is complimenting little things like that?

Just drives me crazy at times how much people are happy to add more negativity to everything and not so much to celebrate the positives and good things.
