This thread deals with all issues concerning the icons used for namespaces and their buttons, including proposals for icons for new namespaces and bugs with existing icons.
When submitting an icon, the icon images should be exactly 16x16 png with a transparent background. A gif can also be used, but png is usually better. Also, the naming convention is important. It should be the namespace in lowercase.
I am compiling a list of namespaces that need icons, and icons for those name spaces. This would be preferred to be done quickly because I've convinced Eddie to hook them up when I get them complied. I will be editing the OP as we go.

Okay, so question becomes how we tackle Manhua. China's flag does have that distinctive yellow-star-on-red-backdrop, but the first character in Manhua, 漫, is complicated enough that it'd presumably obscure the detail there more than 만 obscured the yin-yang.

Doesn't help much with Manhua, but I added another Referenced By suggestion. Still a reversed megaphone, but one with some colouration to help it be more distinct from Shout Out.
While we're working out suggestions on Manhua, are there any other current single suggestion ones that, at this point, we can just call as is?

Right now, the single item ones are the wrench and hammer for Fan Works/, the sword for LARP/, the red sandbox for Sandbox/, and the Britannica logo for Useful Notes/.

I would like to sues the Machinia logo (M in an orange rounded square) for the machinima namespace. As for Manga I would suggest a black and white book and for comics a comic strip (or maybe Superman's iconic Chest Insignia)

None of those are up for debate. Their icons have already been decided upon.
Check the Sandbox linked at the top of the page. The bolded namespaces are the ones we're tackling right now. If you can find an important one that's not got a listing in there, there'd be another one to tackle.

I think Tools would be more appropriate for Game Mods than fanworks in general. (Do mods even have a namespace?)

I notice that 1: The YMMV and Moments tabs don't show up automatically any more, and 2: The used tabs don't have that "embossed" look any more (since only used tabs are showing up). I kinda liked having them like that. Helped make it clear that those tabs existed to put stuff on them, and just looked a bit more professional. Not really going to raise a fuss over it, but I'm curious what other people think about it.
It's hard to follow with my eyes since they're not outlined like a page with content on it was (IE a YMMV tab), and the awesome/heartwarming/funny buttons look really disorganized with the added text. it's hard to find anything now!

I think it looks good; could use some organizing though, not every page has all the tabs in the same order for example.
Also, is it just in the pages I checked, or do the Headscratchers and Fridge tabs not show up?

Kinda glad that certain namespaces now have tabs, however some of tabs seemed much better when they were just a pic. The new layout kinda looks crowded for some cases.
Some slight reorganizition may also be needed for the order of the tabs. At the very least, the Funny, Awesome, Tearjerker and Nightmarefuel tabs feel like they need to be more beside one another since they seem to be more similar in essence as compared to other YMMV pages.

Made the borders thicker on the buttons for greater "embossing." Also sorted them alphabetically (after Discussion). Headscratchers and Fridge have had icons id'd?

May I suggest the face of Haruhi Suzumiya as the namespace icon for light novels? Her face or Shana's, actually.

I think the words look fine on something with just a few icons, but for big things like Homestuck, Super Mario Bros., or Pokemon, it looks awfully cluttered.

Definitely look better embossed. Funny/Heartwarming/Awesome/Tear Jerker should probably be grouped together though, like before, rather than alphabetical. Just the using icons (without the names) seemed to be working fine for them before; maybe changing that part back would reduce the cluttered feel.
