It's... y'know that feeling you get where someone you're about to eat is so pathetic and lacking in fighting spirit that you lose interest and go find someone more appetizing? It's kinda like that. I think.

I'll be on topic:

  • The Hangover Part II: The same thing as last time, but still pretty funny. 3.5 out of 5 stars.
  • Cracked's top 8 of everything of 2011 (or whatever it's called): Some were good, but a lot of it was just condescending in my opinion. 2/5.

  • Brad Thor: An opportunistic writer who disemboweled Tom Clancy and finger-painted infantile right-wing fantasies with the gore that resulted.
  • "Seasons of the witch": A truly terrible movie that illustrates why Nicolas Cage should not have long hair, and why Ron Perleman needs a more discriminating agent.

I'm actually reading the manga too. Mostly because I don't really have access to the anime, due to bad connection.

Ocarina of Time 3D - It's still Oo T! Amazing. Strangely the new coat of paint and impressive 3D is enough to draw me in enough to enjoy it again. Sadly at its core it is still Oo T which is still painfully empty and dull in comparison to latter games.

Here It Goes Again by Ok Go: I love this song! It's so freaking catchy, and the lyrics aren't stupid at all! A little repetitive, though.

Monz, you are now even more awesome than is possible.

Anyway, Tonight Alive.

They have an awesome discography, and I really like "To Die For" and "Starlight". Sydney is now the world's most awesome urban area.

Portal 2!

(Single player. I haven't had a chance to play through coop yet.)

Writing, Voice Acting, Environment design, music, and characters: All perfect.

Replay value: Almost nil.

The main problem I have with this game is that it was too much like running through a maze. The game is absolutely packed with huge, beautiful environments, but there's only one way to move through them, almost no potential for exploration - the dev team goes above and beyond to make sure you can only go exactly where they want you to - and you just have to run around until you find the one and only way to solve the puzzle and get to the next room.

3.5/5

Granted, the "replay value" thing is arguable since you can install custom maps for the game, which are being constantly churned out by mappers.

Skyward Sword:

This was definitely one of the best games on the Wii this year. The controls worked well a lot of the time, they were responsive and didn't need to be calibrated every 5 minutes, and gave it a bit more accuracy than most sword-based combat systems. The worlds are a lot less lifeless than TP's rather bloated and dull overworld, and the dungeons are extremely well-designed. There's a few questionable choices like a less than optimal prologue or some odd quirks in the art, but otherwise it's a good addition to the series. 4.5/5

The Day After Tomorrow: *

Remains one of my favorite movies. Not in spite of its general cheesiness and hamfisted twin Aesops (they are, spoiler alert: respect the environment, and be nice to immigrants, respectively) but because of them. It's seriously one of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen, and I'm unashamed to call myself a fan of it.

Narutaru: I like it. It's pretty terrifying at some points. It had a happier ending than I anticipated, but then again, I only watched the anime, so who knows what happens in the manga. In a nutshell: this (especially episode 3) with a hint of this (especially episodes 10-12).

Realm of the Diggle Gods: Werediggles, Piracy, Emomancy and Eldritch Potatoes. That is all.

And to say I was nervous... it wouldn't be quite enough.

New Tricks: Wonderful, wonderful characters, great mysteries, compelling dynamics, very funny, very suprising. 5/5

White Collar: Its ok. It tries to be too much like Burn Notice at times, but I still find it interesting, with great characters and clever tricks to drive it. Unfortunately, the character of Neal Caffrey falls flat as paper, as he never shows emotion or grows as a character, and his characterization needs lots of work. Even though they try to juxtapose him with his FBI guy, it still falls flat, since they get 2 minutes of it in at the beginning of some episodes then ignore it the rest of the time.

Kingdom: There needs to be more of this. Stephen Fry is in it, which I find to be a compliment unto itself, and the characters are absolutely wonderful. Funny, and I can't stop watching.

  • The Hitchhiker: The Asylum's rip-off of The Hitcher remake. Just barely tolerable.
  • Cannibal Campout: Rather dull for the first hour or so, but with the villains providing some amusement. The finale is a disgusting and mean-spirited splatterfest, however.
