Yup....
I think the pulled image was perfectly fine. Maybe not the best example possible, but still a pretty good visual aid, and not worse overall than anything else that's been suggested in this thread. I don't have a clue who the character is (other than "some girl from Fruits Basket") and I thought her grumpy sulky posture and expression got the point across decently.
I don't really want to volunteer to do this myself, because I don't know Fruits Basket, but what about photoshopping some illustrations of the character's tragic past into the background?
That would certainly go a long way toward taking away any aspects of JAFAAC that could be used against it.

I didn't support the picture, but it was not JAAFAC. I really wish people would stop waving that term around for any picture they don't like.
Back on topic, are we going to have a crowner or not?

To the last point - do we have enough good options to justify a crowner?

Um...Eddie did not agree with the image being removed. The image is removed during IPD. Just because the JAFAAC card is played doesn't make it an image that had been stomped.

Uh, is it an option to put the original picture back as a option on a crowner?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.I just went through the edit history and saw nothing about Eddie deleting the image. So if we can get consensus on the matter could we have the image back up?

You didn't go far enough back. Fast Eddie did remove the image.
No, do not put it back on the crowner.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Given the popularity of the image, would there be any objections for those so inclined to talk to Eddie about being lenient?
He probably already knows it was popular. And removed it nevertheless.
On another note, I also didn't really like the image, I might just repeat what others said, but the illustrating character should look sad and broken, perhaps emotionally empty (with the thousand yard stare); not sulky or mopey.
Does anyone read/watch Fruits Basket enough to be able to do the Photoshop of the previous image in the suggested manner?
I suppose I could take some time to photoshop the original image a bit. I'd need a source for scans of the manga, though, if anyone would be kind enough to help.
Perhaps this is a trope that, like Used to Be a Sweet Kid, needs a "before" and "after" duo of images to work?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyHere, I revamped the original image a bit to show some of her backstory. Would this work?◊
I like that picture.
But do you think the Broken Bird can apply to male characters too? Just asking. -_-
Say it in red! "People die when they are killed."That's a good start, but the stuff in the background is a little fuzzy and she obscures too much to be able to tell what's happening. Can you shrink her down by, say, a quarter, and make the stuff in the background sharper?
Possibly, but this trope tends to apply to female characters so I think using a female in the pic would be best.

That works!
My first time being part of an image pickin discussion thread btw.
Greetings.
I think that the background is a bit vague, but it could be a good start.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI took the above suggestion and shrunk her down a bit, as well as sharped up the background the best I could. Here it is.◊ I know it's still vague, but we don't want to give away too much about her, yes?
That looks pretty good.

Actually, I think Eddie pulled it, IIRC, for being JAFAAC, even though people wanted it to be kept.
