It has one other thing: the Biblical references. Galaxy is basically a Mario-fied retelling of the New Testament. (In fact, there are things in the sequel that I'm pretty sure were planned for the original because of how well they'd fit.) The fact that Galaxy has a cosmic scale as well as a strong literary foundation makes me love it most of all.
I also like that it has darker colors. Don't get me wrong, I love Galaxy 2 as well, but its palette is too sunny. Half the time, I forget I'm supposed to be in space.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?For me Galaxy 2 scratches that platforming itch better than any other Mario platformer. And unlike the standard Mario elements in 3D Land & 3D World, it still has some fun aesthetics to boot. Galaxy 1 is fantastic, but the sequel felt like it distilled the gameplay down to its best elements and trimmed some of the fat.

Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...I guess I like the fat! We could say Galaxy 2 has better gameplay (also, Yoshi) but Galaxy has better themes/aesthetics.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Galaxy 2 also has less Orchestral pieces...so heresy.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I think part of it is just preference about the goals one prefers in Mario games. The galaxy duology splits the difference between the collectathons (64, Sunshine Odyssey) and the linear platformers (3D Land, 3D World), but 1 leans a bit more to the former and 2 to the latter. The 100 purple coin missions are good example with Galaxy 2 keeping them more limited to a small area with a time limit rather than a scavenger hunt with infinite time that Galaxy 1 often has.
Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...I absolutely adore both games and had almost just said "Galaxy duology" in my list but, if I could only play one, it'd be Galaxy 2 since it has better gameplay and level design.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'm sure that makes a difference too. But like I said, I prefer the original mainly because of its themes and aesthetics (although it does have a handful of stone-cold legendary levels, like Battlerock, Buoy Base, and Toy Time, that are every bit as good as anything in the sequel).
I hope they do make a Galaxy 3 eventually. That style of gameplay and level design doesn't feel like it's been used to its fullest potential.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?They'd have to fix the control...for stiffness.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.The Galaxy duology definitely had the loosey-goosiest controls until Odyssey.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?How to make the worst Super Mario Maker level ever.
That dude is 100% a real Mad Scientist.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I haven't played either Galaxy game yet but I really like Rosalina in those games. I wish Nintendo would go back to her more quiet portrayal and bring back the deeper voice with the echo (even if they use a different actress).
I love the fact that Rosalina is basically God. I kinda hate it when she's listed as a princess because that's so belittling.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I don't think Rosalina is referred to as a Princess in either of the Galaxy games. In fact, I can't think of any time she's referred to as a princess in any Nintendo game. The Mario wiki article on her says she's a princess, but that seems to be taken from a Prima Strategy guide.
I think they mean when fans call her a princess. Rosalina has never been called a princess in canon.
...Why was the Wario Land 4 Japanese website so obsessed with scatological humor?
It also strongly implies that the archaeologist dude who you throw around in the bonus rooms to solve puzzles spends his break time jerking off to porno mags. I'm not sure how to feel about that but it's leaning towards a mix of disgust and uncontrollable giggling.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Nintendo will show off a couple of its upcoming games at Gamescom, including Super Mario Party, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country, and Daemon X Machina.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. The voice acting in WarioWare Gold makes me wonder if WarioWare has potential for a TV cartoon - or even a whole animated movie.
Imagine this: The movie starts with Wario and his company, fairly successful in making games. However, Wario's employees are a little annoyed by how greedy he is.
But one day, everything changes. Waluigi arrives in Diamond City. Feeling rejected and spurned by Wario, Waluigi starts his own game company, making bigger and better games and becoming a business rival to Wario out of sheer spite.
Wario and his crew must work harder than ever to compete with Waluigi's games. Meanwhile, they learn to work as a team, and Wario's employees teach him to be more generous so that he can patch things up with his former friend.
Basically, introduce Waluigi to the world of WarioWare by making him a Big Bad who eventually has a Heel–Face Turn.

I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :DThat's remarkably similar to my own idea for how I would put Waluigi into Warioware too, incidentally. 😅
But I think a Warioware (or even Wario Land) TV show/movie could potentially end up being a good one. The Wario Bros. have a lot of character and personality that you could write a narrative around and both Ware and Land have a bunch of characters for them to bounce off of. There's a lot of stories you could tell with Wario (and Waluigi) in either setting, I think.

"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"Problem with that narrative is that everyone would immediately defect to Waluigi, because even the tennis extra is better than working for Wario.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Wario and Waluigi...
Just 2 guy who found eachother one day...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.All of this talk about WarioWare reminded me of a comment I left on the "Warioware General" forum. I bring up the question about whether or not WarioWare Gold will have an Expansion Pack. My personal hope is a "WaluigiWare", with Waluigi hiring a completely new cast of characters to help him make new microgames.
As for a WarioWare TV show...I have thought of an idea for one that I call "WarioWare: The Tee-Hee Series". It would have episodes that parodied popular works, including "Modern Flatulence", "20,000 Belches Under the Sea", and "Dragon Burp Z". The writing would be akin to Sonic Boom, and the comedy-style would be akin to The Amazing World of Gumball and the modern Mickey Mouse shorts.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Wario is at his best when he's not doing burp and fart jokes. If there were a Wario TV series, I'd want something more like this. Basically DuckTales with Wario and Captain Syrup in the roles of Uncle Scrooge and Flintheart Glomgold.
A Wario cartoon would be awesome. I never even thought of that.
That is true. Though at least the world-end bosses are all unique and fun.
