Well, Cygan was wondering why there wasn't one, so I made it. I guess we can talk about queer stuff. :3
(*LGBTQ+ Solidarity huggles*)
Oh, and if you're wondering, non-queer folks are welcome too.

I find it funny how he thinks it's some kind of conspiracy rather than accepting they just realized he's an asshole.
Going out of area with the NHS is a huge pain though, you have to basically slog though a ton of shit to get funding approval and then they actually refer you to the OTC to area doctor, who you then have to chase up a bunch. It's why I'm over a year into trying to get my ASD/ASC diagnosis and still haven't got an apolintment yet.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranI am part of an orwellian conspiracy. :D It's so exciting!
Yes... ALL your friends are conspiring against you to try to make you think you are an a-hole.
The real conspiracy is that he even had friends in the first place.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ Cyranuh, hello, nice to meet you; I don't know if I shoul`d post this here, but I don't think It goes on the lgtbq character thread on witer's block, since I just wanna complain about something. The "gay coded" characters, I mean i don't get it, I read that disney did a lot of these in it's animated films (since there cannot be gay character on something aimed for kids); for example ursula, who is supoused to be a lesbian for the way she acts and how she looks, and where supoused to take that as something good? I mean, Isn't that stereotyping? I know it's not saying that all lesbians are like that, but it's saying that because she's like that shes a lesbian; wich doesn't seem like something we should think, that just because someone acts in some way it means that they're gay/str8/lesb/trans etc?
Also, something that doesn't have to do with the thread (or this section of the forum), but is a dobut that I have regarding this

does posting a link to your work, that is in other page, counts as publishing it here? and giving a sipnosis or a resumen does, or doesn't?
Definitely the wrong place to ask the second question. Links don't count as publishing. of what they link to.
First question, You'd have to ask the original artists if they coded in characters to their animations. If you read ursula as lesbian otherwise, that is your interpretation alone. If you read her as stereotypical, then the problem is she is stereotypical.
Yes coding a character gay is stereotyping and it's not a particularly good thing, especially in this day and age.
It made sense a bit more when including an explicitly gay character on your show would get the script canned and you fired, so the only way to get any gay representation would be to sneak it past via coding.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranUrsula was based on a drag queen. Just look. It's great.
The best example of a gay-coded character is Scar from The Lion King. He's also Jeremy Irons' best-known character, which is sad because watching him scream, "WE ARE THE POPE OF ROME" is so much better.

This is a signature.Wait, how is Scar gay-coded?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!I kind of get what you mean, but just linking a clip doesn't help.
Fresh-eyed movie blogYou're telling me that a clip isn't a good demonstration of camp gay cues?
that, too

This is a signature. The clip just gives me Nazi vibes.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!It's like that Doctor Who audio where the camp gay character turned out to be secretly aiding the Nazis.
Fresh-eyed movie blogPlus, I just took it as him being the runt of the litter due to his appearance. I mean, his real name translates to "worthless" for God's sakes; his parents did not have high expectations for the man even as a cub.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Okay, the xenophobic rant song may not have been the best clip. There's another scene in Sixy's link.
You were supposed to be paying attention to the mannerisms.

This is a signature.Camp Straight is a thing that exists though. I mean, he had a son didn't he?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Yes, because we all know gay people are absolutely incapable of carrying on with the opposite sex well enough to reproduce.

This is a signature.I'm just not seeing the connection then.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!In other words, Sissy Villain.
