Hopefully by tomorrow everyone in the coffee shop has spoken up or so help me God...

Right now I know that Marianne is behind the counter, and we also have the Poolboys, the core thingy, and Linna. That's probably it, right?

I've got a question that I hope to have answered as soon as possible. Along the lines of my earlier question about the stadium's exterior— what might someone be able to see from the hole in the wall? Or would they be apprehended before reaching it?

I am interested in planning the next thread; it's just that I have nothing to say about it at the moment.

Another note about the hole: it's pretty close to the top of the stadium, so your new character isn't going to be able to climb through it or anything unless he's got some mad athletic skills.

Silly me. I'll go ahead and adjust that, probably big time too. Without a reachable hole, he won't have stopped to investigate.

I think I'll cut that whole bit out and add the revision to my new post.


I like the pace we've been at lately, though I'm a little worried about my posting quality possibly declining. Could be I'm just sleepy today.

As a general note, I'm sorry if I'm being pushy about Archipelago. It's just that for once I actually have time to post and I'd really like to be able to, and City is not for me.

Well now I'm confused, Crystal Glacia. Just what kind of operation are you running in the little restaurant where there's no counter to order at and no staff to greet people at the door? I'm going to write a very harshly worded review of this establishment on the internet if the service doesn't get better fast!

Depending upon how much icewater Wilheim can force into his veins in a hurry, or if he's a panic-and-freeze sort of guy, he may not actually be discovered. Just deeply inconvenienced.

@nrjxll: I have made a couple of suggestions, ranging from type of archipelago (volcanic with some current activity) to climate/type of vegetation (South-East Asia) to a history explaining the hub island (former military base refurbished on a budget for budget travellers), but if you haven't noticed, I doubt anyone else has.

I have, and to me those ideas seem workable enough. All that's left is sorting through each of them on the basis of their potential advantages or disadvantages.

I can't find anything to that effect in the last four pages, so now I'm genuinely confused. Is there somewhere people are discussing this that I'm not aware of?

In most CDTs, restaurants and other operations in foodservice that show up generally don't function consistently or like normal restaurants for the sake of plot convenience. They tend to be more like restaurants you'll find in mall food courts or roadside rest stops where you seat yourself after getting your food. I've tried defining restaurants that appear as much as possible, but it's just something that has to be expected.

So I guess I'm deconstructing the typical CDT restaurant. *shrug*

First of all, yes, Taggart has two frag grenades with him. It's on his character sheet. This isn't something I'm bullshitting in to freak Wilhelm out.

Second, the reason why Loren dislikes wizards is while it sounds like a hilarious Noodle Incident, most certainly isn't. Several months ago Loren and another agent named Lily were forced to become prostitutes for Lovecraftian creatures in exchange for protection after an attempt on their lives. The two of them were ordered to undress while a wizard (non-human) watched.

However, this was all cut short with Lily and Loren sent home. Taggart and another agent named Greg were there to receive them, and thus they know what happened.

So yeah.

Edit: Occording to Word of God, the name Taggart probably comes from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, most definately not Atlas Shrugged. Taggart's first name is Jack.

Just jumping in to comment that that's some messed up sh*t. The irony is that today is the birthday of HP Lovecraft, so yeah

Also, on not adding stuff for Archipelago: I have been a bit busy with dealing with some personal stuff, but I'm free to add suggestions should I think of some.

I had a weird idea for one of the islands: A forested area, except the water is lava and the trees are black, glass-like structures.

It is messed up. Heck, most of the Poolboys are messed up in ways that I'm constantly discovering in new and exciting ways. The setting they come from basically takes random inter-dimensional travel, deconstructs it, then dumps a bunch of horror and tragedy on top.

I really want some poor motherfucking shit to look through Taggart's memories for my own evil amusement.

There's a couple reasons I pulled this withdrawal, one being that canonically at this point this world just isn't worth the damage it is causing them, the other being I'm going on vacation and would have been able to post but it would have delayed things a lot and slowed the thread.

I'll reenter if my classes don't completely overwhelm me when school starts.
