How about you have a Xatu instead of a Honchkrow?
And Tracer, that would make two concurrent sub-arcs in the one main arc. Your Kanto arc and the Homestuck arc.
(Also Homestuck update. Yay)

I'm having to learn to pay the priceWait... Is it not good to have more than one concurrent subarc or something? Otherwise I'm not sure if I follow...
Hard Boiled Detective Since 1985...how can one have only one *concurrent* subarc in an arc? Or am I reading rrrrrrong?
Also, wondering if we should trope the Cubone tribe and in that case where...

Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google? It might be a bit confusing.
One group will be MST ing, another will be on a Homestuck themed quest, others will be in Kanto.
It might be a little confusing for an onlooker.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceIt shouldn't be too hard to figure out if we make note of who is in which group on the recap page. As I keep saying, theoretically we all could do something completely independently of everyone else.
Also Oh man. Oh man. Oh man. Oh man. Oh man. Oh man. Oh man. Oh man.
I've been thinking about a few things that have sort of been bothering me, and that my character will probably bring up later on.
One of these things includes a little bit of Fridge Horror about a slightly unfinished sub-plot from the Unova arc that DS will probably bring up the next time she talks with Daisy.
So... uh... after talking to some other PEFEers and RPers* , I've seen a growing feeling that the GC arc is, with all, taking too long. Statistically, this single arc has so far taken more than 1/5th the total posts of this thread, and it has been running for more than a month; perhaps more than any other individual arc. The Recap.WeAreAllPokemonTrainers page is also an indication — the GC arc alone is split in three entries.
Now, I get that part of it is the consequences of a Tournament Arc structure, and how some battles have been delayed somewhat because of timezones and real life; even contrasting that this time of the year could, in my experience, be the easier to carry plots around. I guess the entrance of extra characters, PEFEers included, makes the overall dynamics more complicated, as does the fact that for an occasion like this too many boxed characters are brought in for a ride.
That said, I think I can quote "END IT ALREADY DAMN IT" (and whatever the trope is for that, apparently Arc Fatigue) from enough people that I should ask, in representation of other members, if given the situation that the GC continues for still much longer IRL, stronger measures are considered as to finish the remaining battles in a (relatively) clean and quick manner. It is true there are few battles remaining; it is also true however that those will likely be the most well-thought ones, both in real life and in terms of roleplay.
There is a conversation log that I will link to accordingly; there are also two base strategies that have been posted to be offered, one by me, as the most extreme measures that could be taken if it comes to the worst and this drags for too long; however, I would like to first sample opinions and see a guesstimate of how longer will the arc take IRL, the particular dynamics of the RL!characters's posting habits considered. Surely we can avoid the worst scenarios.
Also I'd like to ask for the opinion of how long would next arcs be taking in comparison to this one. I guess one of the first things we'll hear here is "No more Tournament Arcs please"... Considering that what comes next is a MST arc and a alternate universe arc, both of which might change plotting dynamics strongly.
Not that this RP has too much of a tight plot planning anyway; I have the understanding it's not exactly the ideal.
Well... uh... this makes me feel dirty.
Will edit this post later to provide a log link.

Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Luke vs. Anom could happen this weekend, since they're both usually on during the day.
Fool vs. Slouch is tougher to nail down, since Slouch sometimes posts sporadically, but they're at least in the same/similar timezone.
Tagg is also on most of the time, so his battle shouldn't be too hard to work, and May can be played by anyone.
Really, the only battles that would be logistically difficult are Luke vs. Fool, and Luke vs. Slouch, should either of them come up.
EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure Unova dragged for even longer than this.

Actually, if my memory serves right, GC as it is now is longer than Unova... On two separate metrics. It is both longer than Unova in terms of time elapsed (currently leading it by almost a week) and in post count (we're pushing almost 750 pages, or over a quarter of the total posts in the RP, for this arc). An important distinction between the two is that unlike Unova we've been largely stuck in one place for the entirety of it.

Hard Boiled Detective Since 1985Huh.
Anyway, it's almost over. If we can be motivated, it could be finished in a week.
Over a quarter? Ho-lee crap.
Why don't we get our battle underway then Slouch?

Guess who's back for the day?
A Supernatural fan girl and proud of it. "Forget regret, or life is yours to miss"-Mimi Marquez from RENTOoh... Could it be Meddler?

You were right, but she's left now.
Hey Slouch, are you and Fool going to do your battle today?
Don't see why not.
Yay, progressing the plot!
I'm really looking forward to getting the AU arc started, and see how many "I Knew It!" comments I will get once I have revealed DS' whereabouts in it.
Should we show the scene where Cyrus is forcing Dialga to begin altering the timeline, Palkia's intervention and everything that happens from there, or should it happen off-screen (and be mentioned later) while the trainers notice that something is wrong as the digital watch function their Poketches (as well as other clocks) start acting up just before the timeline changes?
I think it should just happen and then have it explained later by Palkia or something via flashbacks.
Okay then. So it will happen off-screen, and it will be explained what happened later on. I think I know how to do that, anyways.
Slouch? Are you on?
I'm having to learn to pay the price
Heh, that's pretty funny. Plus I could have gotten him for the Karate master in Mount Mortar.
As for a name...Ooh, I'll need to think of one.
