Hmm... Receiving her as an egg could work, although I already plan on having DS receive the Ducklett as an egg.
... Then again, that isn't really a problem. And considering the plans I have for the Ducklett egg, it might give me the oppurtunity to make a little Continuity Nod later on if I (for example) have to temporarily leave the Petilil egg in the care of someone else for a little while.
I've had an Idea for Fool in the AU Arc for a long time now. I may as well post it.
AU!Fool works for Artemis and Scolipede by funding their schemes and supplying them with new recuits, how she does this is through her Chessmastery. In this timeline, not only does she live in Undella, she controls it and uses to aid her schemes.
She puts on a presents it as a "Resistance Town" and will take in those who've been suppressed elsewhere with the promise that they'll be safe here. However, AU!Fool will always be watching them, monitering the people and Pokemon who seem to be showing promise and could be useful for her schemes. The ones that show promise are taken into her villa and are taken to the "Midori Room" (the room where AU!Fool keeps her sanguinary personal guards all dressed in smashing green garb) where they are basically given the option of "Join us, or die" and she has no qualms of watching her personal guards rip others to shreds in front of her eyes as long as they don't get blood on her dress. The one's who choose "Join us" are personally trained to be effective to benefit Artemis and Scolipede and her own personal goals. She's pretty much an Evil Overlord with Class.
People who are permanent residents pretend that nothing is wrong, after all, it's better to be alive and pay her a safety ransom then be "dealt with".
AU!Fool's downfall is that she is pretty much nothing without her personal guards, her own team (Especially Napoleon) or the backup support from Artemis and Scolipede. If she gets cut off or gets on the bad side of either of these sources then she's done for. So AU!Fool spends most of her time trying to keep them all happy.
Yeah, AU!Fool is Darker and Edgier by far with mixed elements of Watership Down, Half Life, Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty Four. Around the end of the arc,Karma will roll around and bite her.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceOoh, that does sound pretty interesting.
You know, after the AU arc, or sometime during it, we probably have to add an "AU arc exclusive characters" section to the character page.
And AU!Exclusive teams.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceYeah. I imagine the "AU arc exclusive characters" section would probably be split into four sections:
"AU exclusive teams"
"Artemis and Scolipede's minions"
"The Resistance"
"Others"
That covers about everything, right?
Pretty much yeah.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceSorry I haven't been posting much, guys. Work @_@
Aww, that's alright! It can't be helped if you've got work to do. So don't worry about it.
Also, to everyone else, I'm updating the Character sheets. They should be ready in a few hours.
No problem! It's taking a while though. I've decided to list everyone's teams by national Pokédex order, although starter or otherwise important Pokémon will be listed first. For example, Lake will be first on my sheet, while Jane's first is Gallade due to the fact that he's her spirit Pokémon.
I've also removed the Legendaries that haven't been captured via Pokéball from each sheet, as being able to summon a legendary is not the same as owning it.
So, those are the major changes. Expect to see them soon.
Fool's plan for the AU arc puts my plan to shame. I was thinking of doing something pretty similar, except in Black City instead of Undella Town and not masquerading as a resistance town. Also thinking of making AU!Mezzo into an Anti-Villain.
Do not fear power... fear those who wield it.Hey, Luke? Other than evolving Cascoon into Dustox, do you think you could fix Vespiquen's name? It's spelt wrong.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh, okay. I'll fix it.
I'm nearly done. All I have to do is Silent's one, and then I'll upload all of them.
Woo! Thanks!
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Okay, all done now. Phew, that took a while...
Yay!
I like how some sprites have personal details like Nadia's (awwwww!). Also is it my impresion or Basket's fruit is more pinkish?
Excellent work I have to say!
Should have known...

Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google? Thanks, Silent.
The pink fruit on Basket is intentional, as they're meant to be Peach Berries. Tangent asked me to do that.
I'll go see the new and improved sheet right now! :)
Please consider supporting my artwork on PatreonCool! I'm sure you'll like it.
So... Over at the PEFE chat, I've been bouncing some ideas around for a diversionary subarc during MST (because sporking deliberately horridly written fiction isn't my cup of tea)... And some of the others thought that it would be nice to leave an invite for anyone else who wants to come. Currently this subarc consists of going back to Kanto for a bit to run errands / visit, namely instigating a mob war amongst a couple of our Honchkrow out in Celadon, and continuing up to Route 9 to visit the home tribe of my Marowak to fill part of an errand. So... If there are any takers, I'd appreciate it if I and my fellow PEFErs learned in advance so that we could accommodate you appropriately.

Hard Boiled Detective Since 1985Hey, Luke? Have you given any thought to what the personalities of your team in the AU arc would be?
Hmm, I haven't really got down what my AU team is yet, let alone what they're like.
The only nailed down member at the moment is Cinder, the Typlosion. Who I chose instead of Lake at the beginning of my journey. I guess he could be rather hot-headed and brash compared to Lake, who's much calmer and sensible.
As for the others...That's something I'll have to work on.
If I may make a suggestion, then how about a Hitmontop?
For some reason, I'd picture him as a kind of Pokémon who occasionally gets just a little bit too excited about things, usually resulting in him spinning off in a random direction, followed by an Off Screen Crash, followed by an "<I'm okay!>"
Or you could trade w/ that one NPC in Pokemon Black.
