Timmy is by all accounts your average zillenial stereotype, a 26-year-old slacker who works at a not very well-paying job at a museum making and maintaining miniature displays. Before that, however, he was a Let's Player and member of a competitive eSports group, where he developed a habit of popping in and out all at the most inconvenient times (whenever he does play, he ended up more or less carrying the team).

He mostly dropped off the radar after one infamous incident between his old teammates and the drama that followed and since reappeared as the assistant of the vice curator of the Mesagoza Miniatures Museum. It's a job that lets him drop in and out when he's needed, and it seems to work for him. His family (including his favorite cousin Flash) do think it's a more respectable hobby than the admittedly very toxic professional Capumon circuit.

In truth, he had since college been living a double life as a nonpowered crime-fighting vigilante Night Mankey. He's been operating in some form since at least 2014 in some capacity, right around the time he started earning cash as a gamer. He started with stopping pickpockets and taking out local Pokémon smugglers in Levincia and then ended up taking Team Flare sympathizers elsewhere in [Europe] and interfering with Team Mobiüs activities in Paldea. His choice of work—Let's Plays and eSports—for a time served him well, but as the eSports scene became more demanding and the algos changed, he found himself unable to support his activities through gaming and decided to do a cringeworthy exit. At one point, however, he found himself so desperate for money that he came to an agreement with a studio to have a fictional version of him make a cameo in a movie. He was not pleased with the result.

Personality:

Timmy puts on the appearance of an abrasive and snarky jokester with no filter, though people who knew him from his eSports days noted that he was less annoying and generally more thoughtful of friends than his other peers. He may socialize knives out but he means well, or so his cousin Flash would like people to believe. While he used to have a reputation for being confrontational, his time with his new mentor Joven seems to have mellowed him out somewhat.

Unlike a certain someone whose story beats make his journey to heroism easy to follow, Tim's is a bit more enigmatic. His parents are alive and are doing well, he has no powers, and his money problems in the past mean he can't usually afford wonderful toys associated with those other broody dark hero types. What is clear is that he does have the heart of a real hero buried deep down in his obnoxious former [YouTuber] shell. Now if only he was more willing to share the spotlight.

He recently learned that his cousin was marrying his boss' cousin.

So A Few Things About Herba Mystica

In-game (thanks, Bulbapedia), Titans tend to guard clumps of Herba Mystica and you have to fight them off. Giant Enemy Crab being Malacostra's theme, I've considered giving her a truly titanic Klawf that's basically a Stony Cliff Titan, with the added reference that she feeds her Herba Mystica to maintain her size and retain a competitive edge (and quite possibly profit off the illicit trade in Herba Mystica). I'd like to clarify a few things about the titans and the product they guard:

- For starters, is there just one of each titan or does it realistically have several titans guarding patches of the stuff?

- How available is Herba Mystica and is it something that can come into the interests of unscrupulous orgs like the Hunter's Guild?

Now, in-game HM isn't illegal, just a pain in the ass to collect from what I've read, and this means it probably shares the same niche super-expensive things like Saffron would in the real world. Doubly so if it's regulated against overharvesting that would put it squarely in Hunter's Guild interest. If that's the case, I can definitely see Mal trying to corner the market of smuggling the really good stuff while securing her own supply to keep her Klawf enormous.

I'd like to clarify whether Mal's Klawf could literally be a titan or just one that grows to titan size because she gets HM from somewhere, and if it makes sense for her to collect it in a way that fits the kind of business a supervillain profits off (smuggling and poaching, that sort of thing). This kind of becomes a springboard for future plots as well.

So with my Titan stuff I was personally leaning closer for our purposes to "it's a single Pokemon but it's sort of a power vacuum that quickly gets filled by another Pokemon taking on the Titan role" but if we want to go with multiples that would be fine with me. I'm definitely good with a Pokemon having enough supply to grow large on Herba Mystica.

Teal Mask indicates it doesn't take *long* for a diet of Herba Mystica to confer Titan status, nor does it take especially much to lose it - a single meal and a single defeat alike are sufficient in each case.

Being able to catch the former Titan on returning to the battle also lends credence to the theory - weakened, it makes sense for a rival to push in and claim the supply.

It'd make sense for a more consistent diet to make the effect more persistent ... and in collection specialness reasoning, it'd be funny if Malacostra's Klawf is a 'collectible' for being a Titan for other reasons, with Herba Mystica rendering it *truly* gigantic - and the seemingly endless applications for the stuff certainly make it seem like potentially a hot illicit commodity.

Paldea's general reverence for the Treasure Hunt would make the Herba Mystica spots make sense as protected locales, too - those poor Rangers in charge of watching those spots

hey everyone! a little over 3 years ago, i announced I was gonna go on hiatus from waapt. partially because i was taking a break from tvt as a whole, but also because i kinda just ran out of steam; the creative well had ran dry, i didn't know what to post, i felt insecure as a writer and ultimately, committing to the rp became a chore.

in those 3 years i’ve spent away, though, i've constantly been trying to mature and improve as a writer. and now - armed with ideas i want to put to paper (er, forum), motivation, and an actual idea of what i’m doing - i think i'm ready to rejoin!

when i was still active, i made a lot of pcs; admittedly i had no clue what to do with most of them then and, to be perfectly honest, i still don't know now, so i think it its for the best that i put most of my current ones to the side for now and mostly start over.

A Proposal

So, I've been wanting to bring this idea to the RP for some time. Ever since I joined, I knew I'd definitely want Tony and his mons to be dragged into something a bit more bold and interesting. And I think this new idea for an arc that I have here would pretty much do the trick there, as well as to also allow other players to get in on the fun.

The Stranger Things Arc!

That's right! Over the past few weeks, I've taken the time to incorporate the first season of the hit Netflix show into a Pokemon-like setting, so it could henceforth be better incorporated into WAAPT as a whole. What I have planned out for it so far can seen on this doc right here. So feel free to take a look at it and see what's in store there!

Now, I will say that everything you see in there is not 100% set in stone. I'm open to talk about this more on Discord or here to see what I should change, if anything else could be added, or when I could be able to have this storyline play out in general. I'm essentially just putting it here just so this idea can be out here in the open so it can be discussed if this would be a good idea or not.

The Giant Space Flea From Nowhere (Yes, Another One)

I had an idea for an arc pop into my head last night, so I'm recording it here for posterity.

The Cult

A multiversal cult is collecting Zygarde cells for unknown purposes, calling themselves "The Cult of the Infinite Wyrm". They have "recycled" Mobius tech, it seems, and they're certainly putting it to use. Recently, they've been sighted around the various parts of the multiverse searching more openly. Normally they operate quite a bit more quietly, preferring to keep their operations clandestine. It seems like they're preparing for something big, but nobody is quite sure what.

Okay, So What Should We Do About It?

Put a stop to it, of course!... Or join it, but I doubt many J-Teamers would want that. You're free to do that, of course... But I'll leave that explanation for later. This arc will mostly feature fights against COTIW members, discovering what exactly they're after, and preventing them from... Well, doing that. My initial plans are quite large in scale, multiversal even, but I've thought of ways to scale it down if that ever becomes a problem. We'll mostly be focusing on the OU, because, well, that's where most of the rp takes place— but it is possible for stuff to take place in other universes if people so choose. I'm designing this arc so while it has tangible effects on plot, people can opt in or out as they please. The Cult being secretive and the nature of the reveal of their plans make it so that it's a better idea to keep it from people who don't know, so if you don't want your character involved you can simply tell people OOC to not have their characters inform yours.

So! You want to make a Cult member. More power to you! I encourage this. Please please make a Cult member actually I want to see what people come up with. There's a couple guidelines I would want you to follow, but other than that go nuts! (And if this is approved I will likely make a specific document for people to read so as not to spoil what exactly the Cult wants.)

Let me cut to the most important part right away. I'm the user formerly known as Uilleam. I don't really like being called that any more, and I don't imagine seeing that name exactly makes veterans of this game happy, either. I would completely understand if, the moment you saw me confess my identity, you stopped there, called in the TVT mods to delete the unwarranted ramblings of the biggest persona non grata in WAAPT and tried not to think about me ever again - especially when the last most of you saw of me was an utterly pathetic, snivelling attempt to save my hide that couldn't BE more blatantly devoid of remorse.

But that's a risk I'm willing to take. See, a completely accidental reminder of the past spawned a gnawing urge to get some kind of closure, maybe give anyone I left with open wounds a little closure as well. I'm not writing a multi-paragraph screed because I feel owed anything from you. I'm not grovelling for forgiveness or begging for another chance - I used up more chances than anyone deserves long ago. I'm writing this because, at this point, I don't think I'd be able to live with myself if I didn't. The me of six-plus years ago was such an utterly vile rage-fuelled hellion that I'd get it completely if some of you - most of you, even - saw me as totally irredeemable, but I can no longer go through life letting you think I still hate you right back. You don't need to forgive me, but I need to let you know that, to the extent you did anything that has to be forgiven, I forgive you. All of you. To get this weight off my back, if nothing else.

I don't even know if this qualifies as an apology. It's not really supposed to be, despite everything - the simple fact of the matter is, I left you in so much pain and fear for so long that no apology could possibly make up for it. I barely even remember WHY I was so perpetually aggrieved and on edge any more, and it's hard to really care about that knowing no reasoning could ever be a valid excuse, let alone a proper justification. I'm not even directly acknowledging any specific incidents, you'll notice, and that's because that whole period of my life now blurs together into a horrible mishmash of misery, both self-inflicted and forced upon anyone unfortunate enough to be anywhere near me, from which I can barely pick out details. I suppose, if there's any specific incident you would want an apology for, consider it apologised for. It doesn't matter what I might have to say about the specifics, there is NO EXCUSE for the frothing bile I spewed at the time in response to them. (cw) Nothing's an excuse for seething reactionary bigotry of every imaginable type. Nothing's an excuse for suicide threats. Nothing's an excuse for whatever other horrible things I said just to make you hurt as much as I did. Nothing is harder than having to accept that your old mistakes were so awful that, no matter what you did, you couldn't ever make up for them. Trying to let you know I don't hate you anymore... it's as good as I'll get.

Six-odd years and several realisations and further upheavals later, "Uilleam" the violently insecure "cishet male" who wildly lashed out at the only friends he had every other day feels like he was a different person. I kind of wish Uilleam was a different person, but I have to live with my mistakes and regrets, same as anyone. My preferred name these days is Kafkaesque, I've come to terms with things I was deep in denial about for various warped reasons (I prefer "they/them" pronouns, for the record), I've calmed down considerably, and now the only thing I feel really strongly is guilt and shame. It was hardly an immediate transformation, I've made plenty more terrible mistakes and burned numerous bridges since - and it's hard to shake the feeling this is all the kind of thing you can never "get better" from. But all you can do is keep going, right?

If you've bothered to read this far, unironically, thank you for even giving me that much. It's more than I deserve. I guess I'm available if there's anything you desperately want me to answer, assuming you're willing to talk to me. Hey Fellas, Long time no DPost

AFD is coming up and I'm considering creating yet another Spiderverse shoutout for it, especially since the real deal is gonna be delayed. I don't have a lot of time to prepare as I'm writing by the seat of my pants, but I do have a germ of a gag that's kind of drop in drop out that Pent and I are developing. It goes a little something like this:

The Psi-Stone that I've been using in past April Fool's scenarios is being sent to the mail for Tommy Petersen and Priscilla Kwan to pick up and contain since it is anomalous and dangerous at this time of year. To avoid suspicion, it was sent via the mail service in two parts. The container meant to limit and contain the power was sent in advance and arrived on time, while due to an altercation at sea involving terrorists being fought by the Aurabolts, the second shipment was sadly delayed until it reached the last week of March. Which meant the School caught wind of it anyway and is sending a dispatch team to retrieve it.

Aside note: Said sender is RP!Ian, making a cameo under my control in the interim. I have asked Ian's permission for this since the stone is a common element we use.

In the Interim, the Knight siblings have called on a scientist and employed Dexter the Rotom from the future to dispense details on how to power their time portal device, which they use to tear through the time stream. They hear of the Spiral stone and try to find it in the 21st Century, but catch a whiff of the Psi Stone as well. Since their machine only needs to be charged for a specific number of hours before it becomes self-sustaining, they only need the stone for that long before they can keep their machine running indefinitely.

Naturally, the School tries to take it from them, leading to an altercation that starts ripping holes into the fabric of time and space. And that's where the Spinarak Society comes in.

Say What!!!!?

Basically, the Spinarak Society is an association of people who turned into spider-themed superheroes that aesthetically resemble a certain super from a Miracle Comics publication, usually with some sort of power, which may or may not be because a Spinarak named Tobi bit them. Since at least the Möbius incident, they've been operating using salvaged and self-developed stable multiversal tech and act as a sort of community for arachnid-themed superheroes across the WAAPT Pokéverse. Think of them as a parallel good equivalent to the IDPD in some respects; They actively try to stop timeline anomalies of the destructive kind if they're not taking care of street-level organized crime at home.

Basically, anyone is free to pad out the team from the Society to aid PEFE in recovering the Psi-Stone and putting it once again in containment. Create an Arachnidmon-themed Superhero version of any existing character you have, fill out their backstory, and give them at least one Spider-Mon, though despite the name it doesn't need to be a Spinarak. (That Spider-Mon can very well be a version of Tobi himself —his only major character requirements are that he's colored like a shiny ariados, is more powerful than a baseline spinarak, and that he's self-sacrificing and heroic — but this is not required). Everything else is up to you, but do try to keep the general Spidersona aesthetic while grounding it in Pokémon. Bonus points if you base them on a canonical version of a Marvel Spider-Hero or direct parodies/homages thereof, but this is, again entirely optional.

The stuff to fill in:

• Their superhero name

• Their civilian identity and equivalent in the mainline WAAPTverse

• Powerset (if any, also specify if it comes from a Tobi bite, cybernetics, in-born psychic abilities, Charles Atlas-style abilities, genetic tampering, etc.)

• A little backstory and their teammates

So if they're the Spider-Person of that reality, what of Tommy?

Well, he could have had an altogether different life trajectory and he just lived his life doing something else, retired or passed the mantle, got themed into a different superhero, or whatever. You can even just not mention him at all. If you have other ideas that you want to try out, though, run it by me and see if I'll approve. The only thing I'm outright banning is explicitly villainous versions (dibs) and permadead ones (ones where he comes back as a rotom subject to review).

So, villians eh?

Villians are another major source of conflict for the protagnists. They can be ruthless, freudian excuse of being evil, etc. But, what about villians that are only serve for being laughable? Sure, they are capable of doing harm, but they're also inedpt most of the time. In fact, they're not evil, they're "laughable" evil.

Oi, just get to the point!

For those that are curious, I decided to bring Jessie, James, and Meowth into the rp. Now, I know some of you prefer when they're are serious during the best wishes season, but from what I'm able to gather, there's not a lot of villians that are funny and that's fine. Besides, my idea to bring them in this rp is an love letter to Team Rocket Trio that appeared until the very last episode with Ash and Pikachu. And what better way for that love letter than to bring them into the rp!

But, Team Rocket disbanded in 2009, Xabby!

Yeah, that, I'm aware of. But, their boss forget that they exist, so those three are indpendent of Team Rocket. Besides, the only harm they can do is to capture a pokèmon.

Okay, but what do you think how they deal with being in Paldea?

Well, I was thinking of having James dealing with an "double life" with him being Team Rocket with Jessie and Meowth and being a teacher at Naranja y Uva Academy. His reason of being a teacher there is just that he figures he could work there while Jessie and Meowth can try and get a Pikachu.

But, there's no Ash nor his Pikachu...

Yeah, and that's where Yukari's Pokèmon Kiel comes in. Sure, Shiny Charcadet sucks, but you gotta admit that it's rare. This leads to James contacting Jessie that instead of capturing Pikachu, they can just capture a Shiny Charcadet instead.

Then, what do they do besides capturing a shiny pokèmom?

Usually the typical stuff they do in Pokèmom anime with the sole expection of Best Wishes. Yes, they do try and capture Pokèmon, but they're not heartless! In fact, some Pokèmon introduce in the Paldea region fit within Jessie, James, and Meowth perfectly! For example, Socovillan can be Jessie's pokèmon while Gimmghoual can be Jame's Pokèmon.

Hold it! James showed up during the Gold confernce tournament and their Magikarp submarie is owned by Pent!

That is true, however, I'm not going to mention any of that as while I do know some about it, I just don't feel confident to explain it perfectly in character unless I know the extra details on it. But for in character reasons, they simply either forgot about it and/or move on from that and focus on something else.

So, we're bring the three team rocket remnants into the rp?

Yes, but only for comedic purposes! Sure, they are in the sidelines whenever a major villian cause an major event, but they have standards and they can ditch the capture the shiny charcadet and focus on making sure the villians get some karma justice.

But, what if Kiel evolves, Xab?
