I'll assume that's the ones up on The '80s since I'm not getting a working link.

I love the '80s. That decade just did not give a fuck. It had no idea what was coming, and was all the radder for it, dude. I love the music (and a lot of anime OPs made since remind me of that music; go fig), I love the video games, the anime, the movies, the specials about the '80s...

I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting Agency

Anybody remember the Super Mario Bros Super Show or either of the two series that came after it? Well I found an absolute goldmine. Here's the character bible for the Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon. It provieds the backstory and a short bio on every character. Princess Toadstool's is especially interesting. She's 17.

I remember the Super Show, as well as the Zelda series that came with it (Well, Excuse Me, Princess! owes its name to that show).

Turbo Teen, Might Or Bots, Voltron, Freakin' Robotech and Transformers. GI Joe was cool (of course I wanted to be Lady Jaye), as was She-Ra (not really into He-Man but I'd watch it when it was on).

I kinda sorta liked Knight Rider, hated the A-Team and didn't like ST Next Gen. As the 80's went on I mostly watched latter Next Gen and sitcoms. I loved Designing Women!

Ah the XT, Sub Battle Simulator, MS Flight Sim (loved the addons) and Carmen Sandiego (and yes I liked the Fox Kids show that came after). Scorched Earth and Space War..man was I the only girl with floppies in her back pack?

That pic Hypercat linked to is missing Turbo Teen (I think some 420 breaks were involved in coming up with that series).

I need to find a Lisa Frank theme for Windows 7....

Hand up tropers! Who loves Lisa Frank and would get another trapper keeper?

When I was little I remember watching The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz. It covered four books in the series and was by far the most faithful adaptation of the original Wizard of Oz book. Much much more faithful than any other adaptation out there. Does anyone remember this show?

[up][up]I saw a few episodes based on the second book.

[up]And I remember watching Red Dwarf and The Vicar Of Dibley. But that was late Saturdays in the 90s, when I was in high school.

It was technically made at the end of the 70's but I remember seeing a show called The Devil And Daniel Mouse when I was little. It was a Halloween special about a mouse that sold their soul to the Devil. I highly recommend you all watch it.

You know, some times I'm actually nostalgic for The '80s (which covered a majority of my schooling, being born shortly after the fall of Saigon), and then, when looking up Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" I see the official video for the song.

And I thought this was cool...? tongue

(I'll just listen to the song, thank you...)

[up]Hair metal. Try day-glo colors and florescent neon. Lisa Frank was my homegirl. I dressed in so much neon I'd glow under uv.

Good times.

So, are we still talking about the sheer hilarity of '80s music videos?

...Because between the white-robed backup choir, the dramatic posturing and the trio of eeeeevil cowboys with neon whips, it's kinda hard to take Bonnie Tyler's plea for a hero seriously, incredible belting notwithstanding.evil grin

(This came out the year I was born. *shakes head*)

Okay, I'll give you the late Jackie Chan-wannabe, but...

...Seriously, Bonnie? You couldn't have picked a better job than teaching at the Linda Blair School for Exotic Dancers? I mean, when even the Wikipedia article for your song says that the video "features Bonnie Tyler clad in white, apparently having an erotic dream or fantasy about her students in a boys' boarding school", you should seriously consider hiring another director.tongue

Laura Branigan "Self Control" ....we go from cheezy 80's to David Lynch film very quickly...and the ending is more Mind Screw. Now I get the Freud Was Right subtext but when I was a little girl it was Nightmare Fuel...
